I really don't think Pyramid Head needs AI support, he has the ability to completely bypass the hook mechanic and any perks tied with it.
-
I feel as though this perk could use a buff if anything, unless all survivors spawn together, you're using an entire perk slot just to start 1 chase isn't amazing.

I noticed that too, I hope it means that they're moving away from them at least a little bit. I think the main problem with breakable walls is when a map simply has too many, having one or two around the main building / a main area isn't that bad.
I also think that the map being so big may be a pretty big factor in their absence.

you and I have very different experience when it comes to facing spirits.
You must be facing pretty bad Spirits then

Oni, by quite a large margin IMO

Why do people hate Jeff so much? He's beautiful

Ace, Ash, and Dwight
I just hate them

stridor counters iron will but combined with other perks iron will counters stridor
Don't tell me you think that running Iron Will and No Mither counts as countering Stridor

Actually, Iron Will negates Spirit Power 100% without Stridor. There's no breathing, no grunts of pains. If the survivors doesn't even move, how do you expect the Spirit to find him? Guessing too?
To be honest, Iron Will needs more rework than Stridor.
This might be the worst take I've seen on here, if you know that the survivor has Iron Will and you see that their scratchmarks stop, all you have to do is stop phasing. It is literally that easy. As a Spirit main who has no problems getting 4 Ks at red ranks without having to rely on Stridor, Stridor needs changed.

The key change doesn't need to be difficult. Just make it so only the person using the key can escape.
Then they'd be creating more work for themselves as they'd have to change achievements

what does that have to do with perks being meta.
Iron Will is the only form of counter against Spirit, Stridor basically negates Iron Will's effect, making Spirit an uncounterable killer. Stridor would benefit from a rework that makes it more useful on other killers and not as strong on Spirit.
-
@psionic said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2211861#Comment_2211861
Since when Iron Will is only good against Spirit? Do you even play Killer? Iron Will is strong against all the killers.
Yes, I do play killer. However Iron Will is the ONLY perk that gives survivors any sort of hope in chase against a Spirit. With Stridor negating Iron Will's effect, it makes Spirit uncounterable in every sense of the word. Because of this, either Spirit or Stridor need changed, and seeing as Stridor is pretty bad on all killers other than Spirit, it would probably benefit from a rework.
-
@psionic said:
Why can you use a crutch perk (Iron Will) and the killer can't (stridor)?
Have you heard of Spirit?
-
@Junylar said:
It's not a question about balance, it's just a plain bug. Iron Will makes (should make) your noise volume 0, and then it gets processed by Stridor, and that 0 gets multiplied by 1.5. And for some magic reason the literal zero multiplied by something does not equal zero. It just makes no sense. It shows that Stridor has this "undocumented behavior", because it adds volume to zero instead of just multiplying it by a coefficient. It should be fixed, "nerfed" is just the wrong word.
Percentages in this game are additive rather than multiplicative. It isn't a bug.
-
I don't think you can own the rights to folklore
-
Stridor doesn't need nerfed, it needs reworked. It's practically useless on every killer except Spirit, and it negates Spirit's only form of "counter". It should be made useful for other killers and made less useful for Spirit.
-
@ryzen0849 said:
Nerf the one perk that counters iron will? I already can't see survivors in fatigue, now I shouldn't be able to hear them on top of that?
These complaints are pretty justified. Iron Will is arguably the only perk that actually has any effect against Spirit. As a result of this, Spirit players have started using Stridor in order to negate her only form of counter, despite it being minimal already.
-
A key nerf requires much more than the mori nerf did, the mori nerf was a simple number change, changing a 1 hook requirement to a 2 hook requirement. Keys on the other hand, will most likely require much more.
We may see a new channelling requirement
New animations
Possibly even changes to the hatch as a whole
Not only that, but the key nerf could very well happen in the next update, it is highly unlikely that the devs will tell us about the nerf in advance. That way, people won't just use all their keys before the update drops.
-
@HaunterofShadows said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2211663#Comment_2211663
it already spawns at 2 gens
It isn't that simple, there's a formula to the hatch spawning:
In order for hatch to spawn, the survivors must have repaired X + 1 generators, where X is equal to the number of survivors remaining in the match.
4 survivors left: 5 generators must be repaired
3 survivors left: 4 generators must be repaired
2 survivors left: 3 generators must be repaired
1 survivor left: Hatch spawns regardless of how many generators have been repaired

What it DOESN'T say is that it DOESN'T tell Hag that you don't get a notification that your trap is triggered either. I've used that add-on a few times and get ######### on because if I don't pay attention, I never notice someone triggering one until they're far away and I just lose a hit. If they want to remove that add-on, I wouldn't care. My opinion on it is its a detriment. Not only does it not YANK a survivor for you so it makes a hit easier for the Hag, it also doesn't notify the Hag unless you're already chasing or just waiting for someone to trigger it. I prefer to port and hit, not stare at a trap and hope someone triggers one.
You literally get a loud noise notification and a BP score event

Rusty Shackles are pretty trash. They don't give you a notification that someone triggered them, they don't yank the survivor AND you won't even know they got triggered unless you constantly look around to see if it turned white. They are VERY lackluster. I don't even use them anymore XD
Idk where you're getting your information from but I don't think we're talking about the same add-on here
-
Why is everyone ignoring the fact that Rusty Shackles are a ridiculous add-on?

we don't know when "soon'' is though.
What? Do you want an exact release date? Because if they give us one then all you'll see until then would be keys.
That is exactly why the mori nerf happened out of nowhere, so people didn't have time to use them every match before their nerf.

Not all perks have counters. Spine chill doesn't.
Have you considered moonwalking to the gen? Just because a perk's counter isn't yet another perk, doesn't mean that there isn't a counter.

Yeah! We should just read a killer who gives absolutely no visual feedback about what they're doing! It's not as if the killer could be phasing left, phasing right, not phasing at all, or completely leaving me all at the same time!

I'm pretty sure that Bubba came with Grim Pantry, but I could be wrong

They aren't supposed to, however just the other day, I was alerted to the use of Devour Hope after a Huntress hit me with a hatchet, so it may be bugged currently.

see, this is a troll post i will bite at, but barely........ as you can EASILY come up with these answers on your own
only doing infinite loops. soul guard. flashlights, body blocking. DS, dead hard... When all four survivors utilize every single resource at their disposal. The killer will NEVER get one hook even with tunneling
Did you just complain about Soul Guard?

Everytime I try to avoid the BT user and go for the unhooker, the BT user just ######### keeps body blocking me instead knowing I can't ######### down them.
That's entirely bullshit.
Did you or did you not read the post that you just quoted? The devs made it significantly easier to wait out the endurance if the unhooked survivor body blocks.

yeah ok and survivors don't abuse perks either.
perks being abused outside their intended purpose totally doesn't happen, right?
Like with DS just don't tunnel, right? Well they working on a ######### generator and you randomly came across them only to eat a DS
The only one that can now be "abused" is BT, but since its changes, it's much easier for the killer to wait out the endurance. Are you ever going to take people's advice or are you just going to make "killer good, survivor bad" posts forever?
-
Literally all you have to do to counter 3 of these perks is go after the person who unhooked
-
Yeah, happened to me a couple of times in the past few days, pretty sure it's just someone's game crashing.

You can heal yourself just as fast as a teammate can if you can hit great skill checks. Self care alone, you need to hit 3 or 4 greats to heal regular speed. With botany knowledge only 1 or 2.
Self care is decent alone, and incredibly strong with botany knowledge. Not only are you saving time when you heal a teammate, you can heal yourself without running around the map like a headless chicken trying to pull someone off a gen to heal you and give the killer twice as much pressure if they find you.
A great skillcheck while self caring only saves you 0.32 seconds (if the killer doesn't have anything to inflict mangled), 4 great skill checks will therefore only save 1.28 seconds, and despite what you may believe, 30.72 seconds, is nowhere near the same amount of time as 16 seconds.

then dont be a dick to the killer and they wont drag you down out of spite
Killers don't always face camp because the survivor played scummy, there are lots of killers who face camp because the killer themselves like to play scummy. Don't insinuate that people who play killer can do no wrong, killers can be just as "toxic" as survivors can.

- That was an exploit of a bug but the DEV knew they would fix it fast enough
Took one month. Legion bug literally got people banned and was fixed in less than 2 weeks.
Remember when Tinkerer got reworked and tier 2 would give killers undetectable for the entire match? And nobody who used it got banned? Or are you just ignoring that because it doesn't fit the narrative of killer good, survivor bad?
-
Yeah I also have to disagree, Oni is arguably the most balanced killer in the game, and is generally seen as fun to play as and against (obviously not everyone will agree with this but I see a lot of people say that they like Oni).
-
@Lord_Tony said:

you literally missed the ######### point entirely.
Killers can't pressure gens at all without perks
and when we try to we get punished for it because survivors can just gen tap in midchase.
it's not fair
Well then at that point you're asking the game to be balanced around players not bringing perks. Suggesting that a killer's base kit should provide adequate gen pressure while keeping gen pressure perks the same as they are now is silly.
-
@Lord_Tony said:
killers have to kick gens for a total of 3 seconds for a weak as hell regression process.

Keys removed
I highly doubt you actually want to see that. If they show us an approximate time of when something like that would be coming, all you would see until then would be keys. They'll most likely bring the nerf unannounced.

Any SWF nerf will nerf solo survivors as well, the solo experience doesn't need to be made any worse than it already is.

Looks like I'll have to hope survivors realise I'm trying to farm.

Bear in mind that this isn't just Capcoms decision though. If BHVR wants those sets to be linked because they'll make more money out of it, then they probably will. I don't blame them though. RE is a huge franchise and people are probably going to be willing to buy skins without really caring too much about it.
But that wouldn't be how it worked, if BHVR wanted to make more money, it would make sense to sell unlinked outfits for 2 main reasons:
1) Buying outfit pieces individually costs more than buying the full outfit.
2) Customisation is a big part of this game, that's why so many people are reluctant to buy linked and legendary cosmetics, you can't add your own spin to them.

Mostly survivorr sided:
- A lot of survivor sided maps (The Game, Ormond, Haddonfield, all Springwood, all Coldwind, all Crotus Prenn, Azarov's Resting place, Suffocation pit).
- No nerfed keys despite their counterpart have been nerfed (Moris).
- Gens done too quickly.
- A lot of second change perks.
- SWF.
You heard it here first folks, Azarov's Resting Place is a survivor sided map apparently.

These hits are pretty normal, they shouldn't be, but they are. For some reason dropping a pallet seemingly increases the size of your hitbox.
I've had instances where I run through a pallet, the killer swings and misses, I panic and drop the pallet after the attack animation has seemingly finished, and then get hit despite the fact that I'm a full pallets distance from the killer and there's a dropped pallet between us.
I'm hoping that one day, the devs give pallet hits the window hit treatment, along with drop down windows seeing as their hitboxes are still buggy as all hell.

Head on isn't bad. I'm not saying you are, but the main thing is not be extremely obvious about it. I can tell you how many times I avoided a Head on because I expected it. What you gotta do is surprise the killer. I'd say it's more of a teamwork perk, I helped saved other survivors with the perk because it distracted the killer.
It doesn't matter if you don't make it obvious, once the killer knows you have Head On, they won't get close enough to lockers for you to use it, they'll just bait it out.
