Enjoy your game of tunneling and camping and holding m1 for 90 seconds i guess. The rest of us will enjoy the actual fun parts of the game.

It is literally what he says every time balance comes up. I'm not attributing it to him, just pointing out that its something that he says, and everyone who is against the idea brings him up for some reason.
he also said that old skull merchant was fine and that it was on the survivors for not getting the gens done, he said old spirit was fine, that there should be 0 endurance in the endgame, that swf should be nerfed, he was against the survivor hud because survivor should have “game knowledge” and he also said eruption was fine too. Not to mention he wins almost every game yet complains when he loses one game. There is a reason he has his reputation

Its almost as if the game would be much more fun for both sides if the game was balanced around hooks instead of kills. But people keep saying that tru3ta1ent doesn't know what he is talking about…

What I mean for "Best Chapter" is not necessary "Strongest Character/Perks" but moreso how polished the content was, the content feeling fair and balanced, and the concepting feeling well thought out.
For me personally, I think All Things Wicked (Unknown and Sable Ward) was the best Chapter BHVR has ever release.
The Unknown is generally good, dare I say leaning towards strong, but still has a lot of room for playing and counterplay on both sides, and their perks feel alright but definitely not strong, just kind of the middle. Sable Ward is an alright Survivor, their perks are decent but not insanely busted, just overall feeling well rounded. Grenville as a map is alright, it has a huge abundance of pallets but a majority of the pallets are weak to supplement that.
The Concept for the All Things Wicked chapter feels well rounded, the teasers we got we interesting, and didnt give us too much information about the chapter but just enough information to hook players in and create hype for the chapter's release.
To me, All Things Wicked felt pretty well rounded upon it's release and honestly sparked back my enjoyment for the game when it came out.
What about you, what do you think is DBD's best chapter?
resident evil 1 or the Oni chapter for me.

I've seen a lot of negative posts, so I thought we could all use something positive. Anyone want to share their favorite survivor-killer interaction(s)?
One time I had a killer slug me at the theater counter on Greenville Square (the movie theater map), then bring the other remaining survivor over to pick me up. Then I walked around and pointed at the food and drinks to 'serve the killer popcorn and stuff.' Afterwards, we went upstairs to start the generator that plays the movie. Then the three of us watched Murder Mill together before the killer showed some mercy.I played meme bubba vs a group of survivors and I would facecamp them while nodding my head and once they unhook themselves they start nodding back. They also let me hook them and I let them go. It was a funny game

I been doing the event as survivor, mainly going for pumpkins. I have played countless matches, most have had the killer let survivors go to get PB but even the odd sweaty killer just got the kills and that was the end of it...next match.
I went killer once, I also didn't play seriously and let survivors win and go for event points. End of the match I had abuse from the survivors "l2p" "bad killer" lol any wonder why killers have no mercy and slug, tunnel, camp to get kills in normal mode? I know not all survivors are like that but an overwhelming majority are. I honestly wish I had played like I usually do but that's on me I suppose. Back to the usual play of tunneling, camping and slugging I think, if I'm going to have abuse hurled at me then I might as well give a good reason for it 😁
1 game apparently is the end all be all

It's not sweating. It's literally just playing the game. Every bit as survivors running in circles with their exhaustion perk and Windows of Predropportunity is just playing the game. Period. You have nothing to refute that with.
Complaining about windows💀
-
@DaveyTheDuck said:
Does anyone else agree? Whenever you run a perk or addon that gives exhaustion to survivors, you can never tell if it's actually helping until the endgame screen. If you aren't running an exhaustion perk, a lot of stuff like Languid Touch, Genetic Limits, Blood Echo, all become very negligible. I believe exhaustion should have an additional effect, to make exhaustion something that survivors want to at least consider getting rid of even if they're not using exhaustion perks.
The most unique and fitting effect would be making survivors breathing when healthy louder, and grunts of pain too, although I know that with killers like Spirit, louder grunts of pain can occasionally throw them off. But aside from that, I think this would be a pretty nice and healthy change if balanced accordingly. Because it makes exhaustion-triggering perks and addons more engaging for the killer to use, and allows both the killer and solo que survivors to know for sure that a survivor is exhausted if they're observant enough, which is good information. What do you guys think?
no thank you

Moving the goalpost is just human nature, someone will always move towards the next thing that poses a threat, BUT you should also take the ammount and quality of complaints in mind. Back in the days I fought tooth and nail to get DH and MFT nerfed, because they just made the game unplayable as the killer and many, many were on my side.
Now, I think that exhaustion perks are in a good spot and everytime someone complaints about "OMG everyone uses Lithe these days to get a free escape! Nerf please!" or "#########?!?! SB is so toxic and unfun to play against! PLease nerf!!1" I defend this perks, because I TRY to be more neutral and unbiased then most people give me credit for :P Sure, its impossible, because I am a killer main, but I also have the pic picture somewhat in mind. When a survivor uses Lithe to just fast vault over a pallet they just tdropped and zoom off or when the whole lobby has SB and zooms off once I get even close to a gen, yeah, I grown a bit and grit my teeth, but I don't ask for nerfs, because this perks are in a pretty good spot and most players understand that Exhaustion perks are an important class for survivors, more akin to their power then anything else.
You will always have someone complaining about something, but most killers ain't jumping the wagon like they did with DH or MFT. With WoO I see issues, but ultimately they are not as pressing as this other perks I mentioned and I also see the value or even need of this perk for beginners, who are objectively the most vulnerable group in DBD and already have a pretty tough time. Maybe a nerf like WoO going into cooldown after you threw a certain number of pallets could be healty? Or maybe something like leaving the map awareness, but blocking out pallets and vaults that are close, like up to 12m could work? I don't know, but I will leave this in BHVRs hand without arguing for this kinda change, because I think that newbies need it. Still, I REALLY loath playing against yellow brainrot survivors who just run from one yellow spot to the next and predropping everything. Ugh.
yeah I agree with you. There were a lot of perks that needed nerfs like dead hard coh and made for this. Those perks I felt had valid complaints. But when I hear complaints about hope (someone made a thread about it recently) or even current lithe (when no one complained about the perk back then) it’s just ridiculous. Again I see complaints about resurgence now💀 like bruh. It’s just like how I feel about perks like ultimate weapon. Yeah ok it might be annoying but the perk didn’t need a nerf either compared to something like eruption. At least in my opinion. Just not a fan the “let’s complain about something and once that gets nerfed let’s go after something else” mentality.

Your first sentence literally explained why it's a "crutch for bad Survivors".
That perk makes you way better than you actually are in the game, compensating your lack of skill. Besides, WoO users won't learn anything about spawning because all they do is simply run to the Yellow. Take the aura away, and they can't even loop for 10 seconds.
You know, once I played several matches with Third Seal + Penti + Plaything, and Survivors I chased have literally no idea how to loop at all, UNTIL the totem is cleansed. THAT IS A PROBLEM.
That's why I personally won't use this perk as Survivor. Same goes for Distortion, I never run the perk because they're literally clutch, and you won't learn anything from it.
horrible take

- The killers know when survivors are in the void…
- …but survivors don't know when the killer is in the void AND the killer is undetectable
- Killers now can use powers in the void
To sum up: killers got buffs across the board, and survivors only got nerfs or nothing.

God forbid somebody complains that perk that is supposed to help new players is actively being used by veteran players to serve as a bandaid for their refusal to learn maps and tiles, yall are truly insufferable when somebody actually mentions skill.

It should be nerfed. Perks that eliminate the skill gap between good and bad players are unhealthy, and it has a usage rate rivaling old dead hard. It also holds back maps getting any buffs as survivors can make perfect use of the few pallets that are left on reworked maps.

all of these perks are problematic lol, there are even more that can be added here that are also dangerous for the game health, but are not as much used because average user can't get their value thanks to lack of skill fullfillment to do so.
I should clarify that yes knockout is a problem because solo que cannot coordinate where their teammates are and it promotes bleedouts especially on indoor maps. But since when are petimento knowhere to hide and resurgence problematic? Even with something like resurgence which no one used before, it gets a buff and now it’s too strong? Or even petimento has enough counterplay already. Just strange
-
@NarkoTri1er said:
Hex: Pentimento - this perk needs some rework because it's just too oppressive at 1 token already. 30% action penalty is just not ok at all to come at such a low price.
Nowhere to Hide - too much of free info coming with the...gen kick condition.
Machine Learning - overbuffed with this patch.
Knock Out - not really OP, but needs a huge rework due to how unhealthy it is.
Predator - this rework was stupid.
Resurgence - insta 70% healing off hook is insane and not okay at all.
OTR - it gives way too much and can be abused way too easily.
Reassurance - with the base hook timer change, do i even need to explain this one?
WGLF - this patch gave it an overkill buff.
Sabo perks - gut them, kill them, they are so unhealthy and encourage a rather very unhealthy playstyle.
none of these perks are problematic tho
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
I still think Pain Res and Grim Embrace need to deactivate once a survivor dies. You shouldn't be able to tunnel 1 survivor and then use the remaining 3 tokens to win the 3v1. You should have to actually spread hooks for real if you want full value.
Nowhere to Hide is a bit too free right now especially with the moving range following the killer. At the very least, the range should stay centered on the generator.
On the survivor side, Windows of Opportunity needs a nerf (too much overreliance and plays the game for you too much - needs to have a short cooldown like it used to). I genuinely feel like nerfing this perk would force players to become better. When I was newer to the game I used this perk a lot and noticed that I played way worse when I stopped running it. So I forced myself to continue not using it and I feel like I became a better survivor after I did that.
Hyperfocus/Stakeout when combined speeds up generators far too much. Both perks are fine on their own, but the combo is too strong as Stakeout makes Hyperfocus far too consistent and increases its value since Stakeout increases the bonus.
Then these 2 perks: Boil Over and Knock Out. Both these perks have no place in the game at all and both should be reworked.
“Hyperfocus/Stakeout when combined speeds up generators far too much. Both perks are fine on their own.”
Both perks are useless on there own
-
No the perk doesn’t need a nerf. So tired of seeing complaints about perks like windows that aren’t even a problem. I remember when killers complained about old dead hard coh and made for this. Those were actually problematic. So whenever i see people demand for nerfs to perks like windows, i cant help take them seriously since these people complain about every thing survivors use
-
@Crowman said:
if survivors want to complain that killers have too much aura reading than woo also needs a nerf for the same reason.
what other aura reading perks do survivors use? Bond?
-
@Atom7k said:
I'm willing to die on this hill but they absolutely should nerf windows of opportunity into the ground. It is the most used survivor perk for a very long time and across the board for all mmr ranges.
It provides a huge amount of advantage to survivors to the point even new players can double their chase time.so in solo que how are we supposed to know when or where a pallet has been dropped by someone else across the map?
-
@Royval said:
The perk is horrible at least give survivors the chance to use it more than twice. It’s trash no point in running it can’t even be used in deep wound. So sad to see such a fun perk from back then become a laughing stock perk.
Yeah ok. I played vs that old dead hard and i remember a whole lot of killer players complaining about it which were valid. Those same killer players that were happy to see any other exhaustion perks now complain about them. The current dead hard is fine. Trust me you don’t want to play vs a perk that grants immunity
-
@PreorderBonus said:
If it’s still a top 5 perk in its current state, imagine how overpowered it must have been back then. This forum would be healthier if all members had to provide proof of playing as killer for a few hours. We wouldn’t be seeing posts like these if that were the case.
it is not a top 5 perk
-
this game has too many problems to make the penalties harsher for leaving
Like for example. Even today I played vs an unknown player who was really good and I died. It was a streamer I followed and I asked them why did they hit me on the hook in a jokingly way and they were really upset with how the match went. The next game they went ahead and used that same slug build and bleed out two people while the other people she found slugged got hooked. Would I like to see them remove the ability to leave matches? Yeah ofc but the game has so many problems. And bhvr I don’t really see going through with it

Yeah, I think you're right.
Unfortunately "######### sticks" is the phrase I believe and Skull Merchant is a perfect storm of bad initial reception, one of the worst unfun playstyles following the 6.1.0 patch that she happened to be one of the best at, into a rework that was passable but not good and did nothing to repair her reputation, that BHVR have now openly acknowledged and validated the revile of.
At this point it's just arguing against how people feel, not anything objective, and unfortunately there is nothing to debate in that conversation... you can't argue with how someone feels… Unfortunately that means a lot of players just don't want her to work, and aren't willing to entertain the idea of her being fixed. No amount of blood will ever be good enough.
I believe the other issue is content creators constantly make their disdain known for Skull Merchant and keep the bad public perception. Some like Scott always hated her, he's never even entertained the idea of her ever working, calling her a terrible idea that never should have seen the light from day 1. While I disagree with this assessment and it feels a little close minded, especially as Scott is normally very reasonable and fair (I would have really liked to hear his thoughts on how a drone based killer could work), at least Scott never changed his tune.
Other content creators who I won't name have changed their tune in line with the wind around Skull Merchant. They genuinely don't like her I have no doubt, but its also in their interest to keep throwing her under the bus. Anyone who did speak on her behalf at any point, even in a passing mention of giving props to an improvement, has quickly backpeddled since because it isn't worth the rift from their own fans. I won't name drop, but I do recall a few instances of players supporting Skull Merchant changes as improvements during the PTB, but then later continuing to meme on her hate train and "just delete her".
Almost all of them now refuse to acknowledge any improvements or potential for her and instead keep completely running her down and fueling the hatred of the character. It's an easy win to stay on the good side of their community rather than take a risk of supporting anything about Skull Merchant.
If I was really cynical, I'd say keeping her at hated meme of a character is easy content farming... but that's disingenuous... however I know I for one am very tired of the completely unconstructive Skull Merchant hate campaign.
I like the idea of a surveillance killer where I have to sneak past not only her, but her sensors too. The core idea of Skull Merchant is cool and different, and I just want that idea to be realised properly and be fun... However that idea can't possibly ever come into being if no one is willing to even try and explore how it can work... and that to me is really lame.
hopefully the rework works out. But for now I still hate her. Not even about strength because Billy blight Oni pyramid head nemesis I enjoy playing vs.

-Removed one of the things I hate most when playing against this killer, which is throwing Dorn into every window or pallet that survivor goes to, because it is very brainless and I don't think I need to explain why.
-give her a new animations in the chase, like the ghost face, because all of this killer's animations are very sleepy and lazy and it looks like she's moving while she's asleep, at least to me.

While I’m sure a LOT of you are very happy for these changes… I must admit, after playing with him for a few weeks, he feels terrible now. Everything is so sticky it makes him feel clunky. Not to mention, the STILL haven’t fixed any of his bugs (double fatigue, rush overlay bug, back bumping, etc).
The saddest part, I have spent THOUSANDS of hours on him, mastering his skill expression. Insane hug tech spots, double backs, moon rushes, etc.. I spent hours and hours memorizing his collision on every map.. and it’s all gone. It truly feels terrible and I am one sad blight main. I wish they had stopped at the add ons. Yes, he is still strong… but he is only a fraction of the fun he used to be.Hello again, and I hope everybody had a good weekend. :)

Wglf has become so overtuned to the point killers can no longer slug for pressure if you slug for more then 5 seconds they get back up even faster 3 sec pickup if its double healing its become so strong it can be used in chase even more so when killer has to vault or kick a pallet.
4man slugging was ridiculous dont get me wrong but now were punishing basic pressure maybe if we rework WGLF to gain 200% pickup speed after 2 or more people are downed then it would be more fair for both sides
The perk is way too situational to bring. If the killer doesn’t slug it’s useless. I don’t slug as killer (unless I can’t hook them at all) and I don’t deal with the perk

If you dont run gen regression, youre gonna set yourself up for either a loss or an extremely tough match!
Why is the game designed that way?
I genuenly dont understand how it is almost expected for Killers to have to run one set of perks for the CHANCE to win the game!
Oh you took like 15 sec to find and 20-30 sec in your first chase? Well, thats 1 or most likely 2/5ths of the survivors objectives done… whilst you get 1/12th. seems balanced…
I genuenly despise BHVRs focus on gen regression and think that this is the core issue to camping and tunneling. Think about it! Why do Killers camp and tunnel? To get one gen-doing survivor out of the game as fast as they can! As soon as thats completed, the game becomes a lot easier. Because having multiple survivors sit on gens is just ridiculously unbalanced from the Killer PoV!
I almost NEVER run gen regression and Ive come to terms with it. But because of that, I keep going against absolute baby survivors that just predrop every single pallet they come across! Because at higher levels it is EXPECTED that you run gen regression!
My take would be: NERF gen regression, but BUFF survivor objective time… by A LOT.
I play DbD for the chases. Just sucks that I get one or two good chases (as Killer) in a game before the gates are powered! Unless I go against absolute babies, whom I get matched with because I dont run gen regression perks.
corrupt should be basekit. Maybe a basekit deadlock that can only be unblocked faster by cleansing a totem. Idk just some ideas I have
