Quite the opposite. They will make fun of you and throw a teabag at you at the exit. If you don't have a problem with that, keep playing fair.
Otherwise: kill them all
The “thumbs up” option in the endgame screen, what is it? or rather, what is it good for? A useless feature and why the hell don't we have Art The Clown in the game yet? It's BHVR ... So money shouldn't matter after all.
I love this game, but sometimes I really wonder why I still do this to myself
I had a game vs an Oni that killed us all at 3 gens. Someone gave up early and we never recovered yet I still had fun with the good chases that happened. I mannged to loop him in his demon dash and it felt fun. Again we lost and yet I had a good time and good gold on chaser emblem. I tried to message the Oni “ggs fun game” on PlayStation since I’m on console and he had his messages turned off. So take that info any way you want

The problem is the entire design of the killer is unfun and without a complete rework from the ground up, she is still going to be deeply hated by survivors and the giving up/DC's will unfortunately continue.
So the next best thing BHVR could do is nerf her into the ground so the number of people who want to play her is minimal… and I am all for this strategy as versing SM is one of the most miserable experiences in the game for me personally.
yeah I played vs one on midwich…pain

This is it right here. It is only necessary because there are still some extremely busted tiles and groups of tiles on maps that most killers can do nothing about without bloodlust. Fix maps and then bloodlust is not necessary.
how do you fix them? I personally think blood lust is fine I don’t really care about it but how do you fix the maps?

Other then God pallet most other pallets aren't there the entire match I only saw four two unsafe, God pallet and the pallet on the top floor of the tower. Did they remove the pallets because of the portals or something? If so that makes no sense.

and then they ask for nerfs for those perks because everyone uses them

If it deactivates on bodyblock (I mean real bodyblocking, not just being near another survivor, I certainly know that it would be useless otherwise) sure, otherwise no xD
some restrictions it could have is if you get healed. Also nothing to do with ds but how about they use the pyramid head cages like in 2v8.

I think it would be better if survivors learned how to play against tunneling killers.
When I get tunneled, because teammate unhooked me 5 seconds after I got hooked and killer is still nearby, I am going to blame that survivor, not the killer.Just use anti tunneling perks. DS, OTR if you have an issue, or Babysitter (it's very good now) for others.
If killer is tunneling, don't unhook early (just don't do it overall). Survivor is untouchable for the killer on hook, while you can work on gens. Unhook in last seconds, or when you know killer is in chase far from hook.what exactly is the point of all the other perks if we are just supposed to run anti tunnel perks every game

We kind of had some encouragement to spread hooks. Remember old BBQ?
First, you know where the other survivors are, then you get a blood-point bonus for hooking four of them.
Then the devs have nerfed the BP bonus.
they should have never got rid of the bloodpoints for bbq and wglf

Interesting.
Because somehow we heard for months that a 3% permanent and free change in move speed was absolutely broken and game breaking.
This is some amazing mental gymnastics.
especially since the killer at base is already faster than survivors.
-
@NotVerySuss said:
as the title suggests, it should be reverted.
Why? Because it was meant to combat camping and tunneling but it really doesn’t do that much in these cases.. in fact, if anything, it encourages both sides to play in a lame way..
as of for killers, it’s almost feel like you’re being heavily punished for doing your objective and hooking survivors, therefore in most cases it feels better to just slug.. not to mention that these extra 10 seconds hurt the good killers who play fair without tunneling or slugging more than those who do.
And as for the survivor side, we can’t deny that nowadays it became a priority to finish a gen before going for the hook-rescue because you have plenty of time to save them. Which in most cases leads to survivors greeding it and getting their team to second stage and tunneled out of the game very early on.
how do you guys feel about it?no

learn how to loop it’s very simple. In my killer games when I try and tunnel players out they show awareness and skill with wasting as much of my time as possible. You aren’t just dead instantly off hook. You can run away loop and waste time the I’m getting tunneled out and need basekit perks are becoming tiresome. Learn how to play the game and stop asking for the game to hand hold you.
because you are one shot and you are being chased off the hook you are most likely dead. Yeah you can waste time (you need the right map, the right perks and teammates) but most scenarios you are gonna go down again especially with the amount of killers with strong anti loop.
“Learn how to play the game and stop asking for the game to hand hold you.” the person defending tunneling because it’s the easiest way to win consistently is the one being handheld. -
@Gastongard said:
I dont think that is toxic, but it definitely needs a revision, how come the strongest token is the first one? 30% (i think it is) gen repairing punishment should be at least the 3rd or 4th token. Not the first one. Its the same as devour hope exposing people on the first token. Even devour hope needs at least 3 tokens (i think) to expose people and get the strongest debuff.
Pentimento needs a rework.I think current pentimento is fine.

learn how to loop?
With the amount of strong killers there are now and the fact that you are at one health state….yeah “learn how to loop” is a poor response. It’s like me saying learn how to chase as killer when you get a bad map or something
-
@TheDavidKingMain said:
Yeah, I said it.
Let’s stop pretending that the biggest problem in the game is anything besides how rampant tunneling is.
Just look how miserable chaos shuffle is for survivors currently. Extremely low chance of getting anti tunnel, meaning that if the killer wants to tunnel you out immediately they can VERY likely do so.
You should not NEED to run anti tunnel to have a playable experience.
the current ds should not be basekit. With some modifications made it could be done but they would have to restrict the mechanic a lot
-
@Crowman said:
At some point you just need to recognize there's a skill issue. The more BHVR adds basekit mechanics against tunneling or camping, the more people complain about tunneling and camping so these basekit mechanics clearly aren't solving the issue. Survivors have tools to deal with these strategies they refuse to use, because they unreasonably expect to be immune to dying early.
Completely disagree. First of all no one wants to run the same perks just incase you get tunneled or slugged. Second you are at 1 health state with a bunch of killers with mobility and strong anti loop (not every killer is at Freddy level). Third there is 0 skill in tunneling someone off the hook. Thats a skill issue on the killer.

They should’ve healed before trying for the save and if any one of the survivors had been using Kindred then they would’ve been able to do that easily, though if they were all trying for the save they should’ve been able to see each other.
Also the reason Windows of Opportunity is so popular is because it shows which pallets have been already used by your team which is especially useful in solo queue.I’m assuming this was a response to me. Yeah those perks would have helped but I don’t want to rely on windows of opportunity and I’m just someone that has never used kindred in the 3 years I have been playing. Good perk just not my style. My build was dramaturgy finesse vigil and hope. So yeah me taking a protection hit turned two of my perks off. I didn’t even see what perks the others had I just know Gabriel had a flashlight
-
I had a situation in this match vs chucky. We are at 3 gens with 2 hooks. Two of my teammates are injured so I go for the save. I unhook and signal to the sable to move away from the hook. As I’m healing chucky comes right back for sable so I take a hit hit for her and then chucky commits to me and I get to a loop where the pallet was dropped already by someone else. Cool 0 chase there. I get hooked and now all my teammates are injured with chucky proxy camping me. They weren’t on gens and chucky was chasing them away from the hook so I took my attempts and went next. 0 chase time and then proxy camped in solo que with everyone injured. Yeah big waste of time and all of that because I tried to be a good teammate and not let the sable get tunneled.
That match was just a waste of time and luckily next game I played vs a vecna and I got a chance to loop

No, dude. You have so many good things to use as anti-slug. Unbreakable has always been there, if not for the self-pickup then for the quicker recovery speed. Boon Exponential, though rare, is like Unbreakable for the whole team. Plot Twist forces the killer to pick you up, because if not then you get healed straight to full. Knockout, the killer has to hope it's not a SWF, even a 2-man, or else their game plan is ruined. Same thing with the Third Seal totem being found. I really don't want something to be done about slugging, because it's gonna be overkill and it's gonna be something that's used offensively instead of defensively, exactly as what happened with base BT. Everything seems to be encroaching on how the killer's allowed to play, giving them an ever-expanding list of stuff to worry about, not even just the perks but the base mechanics.
“I really don't want something to be done about slugging”
Yeah we knew that

3-gens weren't holding the game hostage. Survivors' lack of skill and team play were holding games hostage. Do the 2 furthest gens, shift W when the killer comes anywhere near, and don't get hooked near the 3-gen. That's all you had to do. Now there's a handholding mechanic with gen blockage because, "the killer kicked the gen too many times."
terrible take but not surprised

Base kit unbreakable has always been a terrible idea.
Slugging is unfortunately sometimes necessary, but excessive slugging isn't. There's zero reason to slug all 4 survivors until bleed out, for example.
Just allow survivors who have been slugged until the "find help" stage to let go on the ground and go next.
yeah I got bleed out by a deathslinger recently. The dude just went to jump a bill that was on the ground. No one had a flashlight or anything the guy was just mad. All we need is a faster bleed out timer. Killers still get their win and survivors don’t have to wait 4 minutes to just go to the next game.
-
@Green_Sliche said:
Unbreakable right now is one of the most gamebreaking perks for survivors as it can easily turn a 4k into 0k if executed correctly.
If anything this perks needs a form of counter because right now survivor can keep it ''hidden'' and pop it out in the most beneficial moment and there's no way killer can know if this perk is in the game.
there is a counter. It’s called hooking people
-
@Green_Sliche said:
The problem with SWF is voice coms. Everyone knows that.
When one survivor can tell the other one who is on the other side of the map that killer is coming and the remaining ones know where killer is, the gens get repaired uncontested because it's physically impossible to be everywhere at the same time for many killers out of the selection pool.
At this rate, voice coms should be addressed somehow as they give an unfair advantage. It's the same if killer suddenly got a global wallhack or LP perk that last forever.
bhvr has a official discord for dbd so that people find friends to play with one another. They want more people playing their game not less. Thats never changing

The problem with this statement is that "average" is actually horrible and unviable at a high level. They need to be brining more of the killers up while nerfing the top 3-4, rather than nerfing something like skull merchant who, when played against for real, has probably an underwhelming kill rate, but only has a high kill rate due to people just giving up immediately against her.
The problem is that kill rates are inflated massively due to survivors giving up on hook, and skull merchant being a 72% kill rate proves that.
I disagree with the person saying killers should be average. Killers should be at least B tier. And most of them are at least B tier and we have a lot of stronger killers than ever before
-
just need a bleedout timer

If Distortion is getting nerfed, a perk that has CHARGES mainly because it can stop all aura reading, then why is lightborn that has NO charges can permanently prevent flashlights, firecrackers and blast mine? Pretty sure it affects the Haddie perk that requires the killer to be blinded in order to afflict blindness to the killer.
What is this double standard? This is the exact same situation with Weave + Franklin, permanent aura reading yet Object of Obsession was nerfed because of that? A combo that is not counterable in solo queue due to lack of communications should hvae been a priority, you have to go next because of this combo, now that distortion has been nerfed and aura readings were buffed, solo queue is going to be entirely unplayable. You are also pushing casual players away by doing this.
How come every reasoning doesn't apply to killers? Why are specific playstyles being forced upon players? You cannot keep lightborn in its state when you give that reasoning for the distortion nerf. I don't use flashlights, I am simply pointing out the hypocrisy. I haven't played this game for nearly a month for a reason, and that is because solo queue is unplayable but I have checked the updates, and I am for sure not going to reinstall the game.
I want to know why solo players are being punished for playing the game properly yet balancing the game around SWF using third party softwares? Killers complain survivors go next, I've seen them complain more than other survivors complain, as what a killer main says 'my fun is not your priority. Go on every social media, killers trashing survivors for going next, tell me another PVP game where the opponent complains for an EZ win. Giving one side this much power to make the other side miserable is what is going to kill this game.lightborn is fine

Decrease to hindered penalty is bad, since that doesnt increase her skill ceiling. The DURATION should of been reduced to 3s, and the penalty kept at 10%.
Haste removal is unnecessary. Just keep it to combat W keying and predropping, unless you want to increase her action speed.
Scan line removal, why. Just why. That makes drones so easy to disarm. Make her disarm time massively reduced since now disarming and dodging drones is no longer a threat to survivors.
Drones being always in active zone is cool, i guess. Doesnt really do anything.
Scan line aura hiding does nothing.
