  • Get this sometimes, got one somwhen before last update. Really frustrating thing. Plus, even if game force-restarted you should restart it by yourself because in my situation I tried to level up again and... stucked with same error at the very same level. I did it again just for lulz and... yeah, the error was there untill I restarted the game manually. Lost all those bps.

In the midchapter PTB you could stack the endurance, which obviously needed an instant nerf, you couldn't stack endurance anymore. I'm not talking about stacking the endurance though, it's about AFTER the mending. When running off the record, the endurance you get from being unhooked should be prioritized over your off the record endurance (for now 10 seconds). If you mend in the meantime and then get chased again, you should still be able to use your off the record endurance. Right now it immediately uses your off the record instead of your 10 second unhook endurance, which I'm pretty sure wasn't the case before the update and I'd say should be a bug. That basically means the 10 second endurance isn't even a thing for people who run off the record.

Nope. Devs said that all endurance effects are intended to stack their time. You don't have unhook endurance AND otr endurance. You have one big endurance effect that INCLUDES both unhook and otr at the same time. Maybe (if I remember correctly from forum devs' posts) your whole endurance is 90 sec (80 otr + 10 unhook) but those effects are deffinetely not separated, hence there's nothing to prioritize.

  • However, this will only apply if your group's average matchmaking rating is currently in demand.

    But

I played with one more person (I get into his lobby) and he got his bonus BP, me not.

So... they, playing in one group, somehow have two different average ratings with two different incentives? For one group? I always thought it's only one average value possible at a time. Either this post says wrong things or SWF incentives are showed incorrectly.

  • It's in the roadmap for the nearest year asair

I think as a whole, competitive gamers, need to see a game as being fair.

According to BHVRs last stats they showed, the kill rates were hoovering around 55%. Which to me seemed relatively fair. It would have been better at a straight 50% but I understand that it's difficult to hit that rate when you have an asymmetrical game.

However, after patch 6.1.0, where the developers intentionally gave wins to killers because they wanted killer to feel like "An unstoppable force", I feel as if I lose to a killer, that the killer didn't deserve that win.

If feels to me as if the killer is running developer installed cheat software that gives killers free wins, regardless of their skill.

The game is no longer fair to both sides after this patch. How can I respect my opponent when he is just given wins by the developer.

I didn't see that in the first page, sorry if it's on the second. But.

50% kill rate could be "every game 2 escaped, and 2 died" bust most likely its "one game it's miserable 4 escaped and other game it's too easy 4k". Still 50% killrate but looks not so fair, right?

So devs definitely can raise overall win/kill rate and make games more fair at the same time. Like they can low number of situations when all 4 escaped, and low 4ks too. Average 50% remains same but overall feeling about games is more constant.

First part were achieved, second one will be there soon, I think.

I sort of agree but i don't own those killers nor do i intend to buy them just for 1 perk i might use.

So now im forced to either buy the killers and do another bp grind or use shards at the shrine, on perks i had already purchased, and they wanted the make the grind "easier"

If you bought perk from the shrine and it is tier 1 now then just... search bloodweb and level up this perk to tier 3, just like you did that before the update. You aren't forced to buy killer or use more shards, it still works the same way (just give you free tier 1 of the perk for all characters).

  • If you see only one or two prestige numbers, that means other characters are p0.

  • In case they won't address that (because that could be intended): don't solve the cube too early. There are clusters of chains - 3 or 4 chains one by one. Those clusters work as a whole - like if there are only two survs alive and your teammate were downed that very time first chain appeared - then you will suffer the whole cluster even tho you are the only one standing. Only after the whole cluster ends you will be free with no chains.

Same with the box. If you are too early, the cluster is still going and your attempt to solve the cube can't break it, it can only prevent new cluster.

Every time chain catchs you the cluster starts over. So you have to dodge/avoid the whole cluster and then there is time window long enough to start the cube. So dodge, count and then solve in right time. Otherwise yeah, chains give you no opportunity.

I read this in one of other posts and as far as I know (tried it myself but only couple times) it works.

Comes from you being able to hide in a locker during BBQ and jump out during its duration and still not have your aura shown.

What about that: back days Distortion was buffed from 8 seconds to 10 when Lethal came to the game, because Lethal used to ate 2 stacks right away. (EDIT: I tried to check history but didn't find that. I remember Distorion was less than Lethal and was adjusted... maybe I just remember wrong, sorry)

  • Yeah, it's so painful when you are trying to get survivor's validation and bad bad survivor doesn't give a crap about you.

It's not a good sign if the only reason why you decide to give someone the hatch is their approving for your actions. Do you want them to read your mind? Do you want them to start crouch near your legs immediately begging for mercy and then cry in endgame chat in thankfulness when you let them leave? Not everyone want your mercy, that's happening. Not everyone wants communicate with you after a hard and exausting game. Some of them will just crouching repeatedly in "I don't want to fight anymore, kill me already and let me go in the next game" way.

Either be mercy (then any crouching of frustrated and destroyed survs doesn't matter for your solid mature decision to spare them) or don't call it mercy. If you want a validation and a big "thank you" then... well, not this time, I guess?

You know what you can also do? Kill all of them in your normal cruel way and then type in endgame chat smth like "sorry, I really wanted to give you hatch but the last game was so miserable I kinda had to kill you :ccc". Profit. Survs know how mercyfull you are in depth of your soul and they can blame some other survs for your cruelness. Then you can feel valid and laugh in villain. But you can use that strat if you have a very VERY white coat only. Please be careful, such whiteness is eye damaging.

I'm still getting iris once per bloodweb, but I haven't tried survivor.

Either I'm lucky, or the rates for killer and survivor are different. Which would make some sense. A lot of killers don't even have iris worth running, but I definitely don't want to see four BNPs every match.

You should compare your p9 kiler with p0 killer (maybe two of each to be sure) going through same levels. Smth like from 0 to 40. And compare them level by level and on average. I bet, you won't notice a big difference. Maybe couple iris more on average. At least that's how I feel with my characters. Even if I won't compare killers with survs, only killers with killers and survs with survs: P0 pig, p9 Michael, p11 Felix, p4 not main survs... Pretty same, I don't see crazy stuff like yours. At least not 7 iris mid 20s... Idk

I assumed that, if they did such a thing, they'd make it so that browns and yellows would still appear more often than rarer addons, but maybe not by much once you're at P100.

Nothing but iris would be awful on a lot of killers. Ghostface and Sadako's best addons are yellow and brown.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3084088#Comment_3084088

What were the increased iri chances at old P3? Like, 5%? People did testing, and it almost never made a difference in practice, but 15% at P9 might.

I'm getting iris in two-thirds of my bloodwebs, it seems like. Not sure what it means. Were ultra rare addons this common in the 20s and 30s before the update?

My Felix is p11. How many should it be? 18%? Haven't seen any BNP and maybe got one or two syringes. In 35 levels. There were more purple things, but not like crazy more, just ok, and mostly it was purple offerings, not items. And my Pig (p0, 30-35lvl) yesterday got 2 iri tapes with 3 purple timers in one blood web. So maybe you're lucky. Just like my friends who somehow stack bloody streamers when I get one in a blue moon.

Anyway, if your case is normal, then everything is pretty fine and there's nothing to change. But I saw posts where people on ptb spent bp to count how many addons they can get with new system versus old system. +5% every 3 prestiges? Doesn't seem like that. In luckiest case it saves p3 bonus, without further increasing.

And the fact that bhvr acknowledged this and promised to increase rarity speaks for itself.

It could just be RNG. I also notice that I had to go through almost thirty bloodwebs to get three or four of my favorite green addons, even though 2-3 greens were dropping per bloodweb. Meanwhile, I got almost three times as many of my favorite purple addon.

I remember making a thread here when I first started posting accusing the devs of having removed Dead Rabbit from Michael because it took so many level 50 bloodwebs for me to find another one. Then I got a whole bunch just after I made the thread. RNG just be like that sometimes.

I hope it does, though. It'd be nice.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3084010#Comment_3084010

It'll be interesting to see if there's any noticeable difference once you start getting up to the really high prestige bloodwebs.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has any anecdotal reports of this. It could just be coincidence that I'm getting a bunch of iri addons at low levels, but if other people are experiencing it, too, it might actually be a thing.

Even if it saves rarity chances, those chances are so low it doesn't really matter. Neither for P3 nor for P9, I'm afraid.

Devs mentioned in mid-ptb report that they've heard a ton of feedback about how hard getting rare addon now should be (and really is). They promised to address this proplem in future by increasing rarity of addons and items. I think we should interpret this as "no, prestiging doesn't boost the rate at which rare items are found in the bloodweb" or at least as "doesn't boost it enough". Hope, they will implement this boost soon tho.

Yeah sorry I just only play solo as I do play killer too but survivor most it's just the frustration of being left on the first hook and ending up being on the death hook. So I am just desperate for something.

I feel you. I just can ensure you, not all swfs are so selfish. My friends and I try save our teammates if it's possible. Sometimes even if it's not possible xD Mostly because we do understand how bad it is to feel being left (especially on first hook). It's not "bUt nOt EvEryOnE aRe BaD" thing, it's just a thing we all can forget playing soloQ and I think we should recall it in bad days to keep up. I faced carrying swfs who sacrificed all three of them to rescue me from basement Trapper: it was my 7 attempt to get an adept and I was unlucky to face the killer right before 5th gen poped up. Guys should leave me there tbh and escape, I woudn't mind at all, but they didn't. People like them warm my heart, huh

Your response isn't super clear, do you mean we can still upgrade perks through bloodwebs and not through prestige?

To make it clear, here's an example:

    • I have prestige 2 Wraith
    • I level up my Hillbilly's bloodweb

Will I get Shadowborne lvl 3 through Hillbilly's bloodweb?

If the answer is yes, that's a relief. Although it shows that bhvr didn't do a good job at explaining the shrine modifications in game.

I understood the change as "You pay 2k iri shard and you get the tier 1 perk for everyone. If you want an higher tier, you pay more".

Yes, you can! No matter prestiges 1-2 or shrine, you can find other tiers by leveling character up, nothing is changed here :)

  • Does anybody know how much do you get for the whole gen? Is it the same number of points as before? I haven't been able to check but it feels the same. 90s gen is giving you same number (1250 or so, I don't remember), even tho it's longer now and the cap is higher.

If it's the same it's kinda nerf of gaining bp (you make less bp per time unit). It's rare when I get more than 8k points, and I haven't got more than 8k in more than 2 categories at the same time. 8k points more sounds good but I barely see the profit. Really miss WGLF, even 2 stacks gave me more poins on average.

That's juust wrong. That's not how it works.

You do die on the hook due to the lack of informations - In cases Kindred ain't present, everybody assumes that somebody is already running to unhook you, and that means, nobody is coming to rescue you. Everybody expects the same from each other, yet nobody's willing to take the first move, as it may result in getting exposed to the killer.

You don't play Solo Queue as a survivor with Kindred, do you?

    I play.

But SoloQKev talk about SWF. See:

    >>Yes defo agree to the things you said, only time I thing is the swf should get the base kit kindred if it's you the solo player on the hook.

And, when I play SWF, we - you know - communicate with each other. If I'm with 3 swf we totally able to communicate and ask who is going to save our random teammate. We don't need kindred for that. And we never let someone die on hook just because, only if we'd let someone of us die the same way.

And I was this one solo surv with 3 swf. And - you know - I had kindred. No one even moved in my way. They saw killer standing right infront of me and decided to not rescue even tho I saved them 2 gens in my chase. They together repaired other 3 gens one by one just in time I was in death animation, and then died near gates bc of noed. If SWF don't want to save you, kindred won't save you either.

  • >>Now, unlocking every perks of 1 character for everyone costs 18,000 iridescent shard! That's WAY too much. It's the price of 2 characters, and almost the price of epic skins.

But no? Unlocking every perks of one character for everyone costs the same price, 6k shards. Moreover, previously you bought a CHANCE to find those perks in bloodweb and then spent good amount of BPs to get em and level em up. Now you buy the perk itself for all your characters, and all those perks are not only unlocked for you, they also are available to equip right away on all your characters on tier 1. If you want, you can level them up through bloodweb and it costs much less bp now to upgrade those perks to tier 3 (no need to look for and buy first tier).

And if you want more than that, in additional you can pay for upgrades. It's new feature which you didn't have early. It's much cheaper to just buy character and prestige them then, and it's perfectly logical in terms of both: saved time cost (time and BPs invested to upgrade this perk for all-all your characters) and BHVR economic (they want buying character be preferable). If you don't want to use this new feature - just unlock perks for 2k shards each and level them up just right you did before. It's cheaper now for you since you get tier 1 automatically.

  • @SoloQKev said:

Yes defo agree to the things you said, only time I thing is the swf should get the base kit kindred if it's you the solo player on the hook. As I have been put with 3 swf before and me solo player and been left on the hook. So yes I agree they shouldn't get the buff but only when it's you on the hook if that makes sense.

I don't think basekit kindred would help you to be saved by 3 swf, tbh. If they can communicate, they can coordinate your save without the perk. In 99% of cases it's not a lack of information that makes you die on hook, it's their conscious decision.

  • What you are looking for is patch note.

    Here the latest:

CONTENT "Tome 12: DISCORDANCE" of The Archives (starts July 20th 11AM ET) Added 5 maze tiles to the pool in the McMillan Estate map GAMEPLAY Generators take 90 seconds for a single survivor to repair (was 80 seconds) Killers kicking a generator now immediately cause a 2.5% loss of progress in addition to starting…

    All changes are here.

  • @tester said:

What they forgot to say is that you may not even get that bonus... No bonus right now for any role. So much for grind reduction. Now the item grind is up to x2. Facepalm.

It is killswitched because it is broken and didn't apply correctly.

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

So from my understanding, it is because you can now buy it more times per rotation? (so you can buy more BP?) but you would have to spend insane ammout of shards that are absolutely not worth the price tag. Honestly, even before when it was 150K, it was not worth it. 150K BP you can have within an hour of gameplay ezi, while you could maybe make like 150-200 shards on avarage for that same ammout of game time.

It should be worth at least 300K.

You can't buy it more times. It still 4 times max per rotation. Pretty sure it's a "we reduced the grind, you don't need those points anymore" thing.

It was 150k (I made it up but sounds nice and meaningful) because the average cost of one bloodweb was 50k, and after purchase you have to spent those 150k to find all three tiers of the perk (buy three levels of bloodweb). So since you've unlocked this perk already - here your 150k to level it up. Smth like that.

And now you already have this perk on tier 3 so what do you need those 150k for? Say "thank you" they let you get those points in the first place. /s

I don't know, sometimes it was much easier to spend 2k shards to get 150k bp just to roll RNG couple more times (bye-bye, trying to fing BT for the 200+ bloodwebs) or complete the gestalt (if I wanted reach 50 lvl but made it only to 48,5 and don't really want to play today anymore). I didn't want to spend 2 hours playing (q time included), I wanted BPs here and now. It was nice opportunity and... well, maybe it was't worth it economically, but it worked for me, I don't buy skins for shards so why not.

And 100k? Nuh. Meh. 150k wasn't too many, and 100k for the same price is awful.

  • @airii said:

I thought they said they will increase the chances of rare and higher quality items in the bloodweb but I still didn't see any on my way to 30 + which is confusing. I don't mind this system as much as I mind other stuff with this update but it is kinda weird. Maybe getting better chances of higher quality items and addons in the bloodweb with each prestige would be nicer.

Because eg at prestige 10 u already have a lot of brown addons, offerings etc while missing the better stuff in comparison and u get only few levels of bloodweb at the very end to acquire some of these only to be put back to the common ones.

Yeah, they said they will increase the chances. But it's not here yet. Maybe one of next updates.

  • @Jarky said:

Any teachable perks you unlocked prior to the update should be Tier 1 on all characters who didn't already have them.

For example - this is my Yoichi. Note: It'll say his Tier 1s are locked because I haven't prestiged him yet:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BJP95KSSGSLS/yoichi.png

However, this is my Ash's perk list:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZDIVFHLE6AQ2/ash-2.png

He has Yoichi's perks at Tier 1 because I unlocked his teachables prior to the update going live.

So my friend should be confused, then... I'll tell her to check again. Thanks a lot!

  • My friend is the type of person that let go gen right before the perk to let me finish repairing because she can't trust herself in that.

It always funny how sometimes she is sooo stressed out by first unexpected storm that she completes skill checks with no fails lol

  • They promised to solve the problem and increase rarity of nodes after prestige (I believe it was in dev blog when they said about 2mill bp-cap). Not now but... soon?

  • I don't know about balance. But I know that the cake is a lie.

I mean, whoa. I LOVE Portal. I'd like to see Portal chapter *0*

So it has been known for month, I guess? At least 3 weeks. The only thing they changed is additional levels for existing prestiges. It was 1 on PTB and they made it 2 for live update. The whole system was untouched.

And just for the history - the video. In second clip I react immediately that undetectable killer is somewhere near the hooked person.

I don't know why patch-note looks like this is intended...

  • @michelle_1444 said:

Hi, was it BHVRs intention to make the new prestiges lower for characters that were prestiged and then higher for ones that were not prestiged? Like if I had known that I would not have prestiged some of my characters at the last minute before the update. I guess me and hundreds of others just misunderstood that.

It was in patch-notes. Based on perk tiers you were able to get up to 6 prestige levels.

    image.png

So, if one character is naked p1 and other character is p0 with all-all-all perks, then... first one get only 2 additional levels (1+2=p3) and the other get 6 levels (0+6=p6).

In case if both characters are p1 but one has no perks and other has all perks, then it's 1+2=p3 (again) and 1+2+6=p9 (p3 thanx for the only one prestige level and 6 additional based on perks).

If your prestiged characters had less than 120 perk tiers you missed nothing.

that's weird, i'm looking at the wiki right now and they phrase the perk like this:

Whenever the Killer is within 36 metres of your location and has direct line-of-sight to you, Spine Chill activates:

    • • Increases your Action speeds in Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Cleansing, Blessing, Opening, and Unlocking by 2/4/6 %.
    • • This effect lingers for 0.5 seconds.

Spine Chill reveals the intensity of the Killer's Terror Radius.

Based on this description, it sounds like the action speed bonus is the only thing affected by 36 meters + LoS, and that it should only be able to detect the intensity of the terror radius... Meaning stealth killers should be undetected unless they have line of sight?

At least that's what it sounds like, but it seems that from people's experience this isn't the case... weird.

Because it was stated that way by the devs, as far as I remember. In QA stream or later on forum. And it should be that way, honestly, since they were trying to nerf the perk. And it's a logic way to implement see-the-sound feature. But now it's even worse than earlier. I like it but that's deffinetely unfair.

TR indicator is cool thing tho, I like it. Helps a lot, even tho I don't have any hear issues.

  • Just to show anyone who hasn't tested by themselves:

Piramidhead's perk is active for Bubba but here we go: spinechill is active when he is close to me.

    image.png image.png

And even if there're no undetectable perks, Spinechill becomes active couple seconds earlier than red indicator appears. I have a video too, but you really should try it out. It's pretty useful, lol.

  • I'm testing it right now. And yes, there's no red indicator so I can't tell the distance, but Spine Chill is ligthed up if undetectable killer is near than 36 meters.

  • @BubbleBuster said:

    1. read the patch notes, they literally said it isnt; TR indicator is also only on mobile; source: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/341-developer-update-july-2022
    2. you can also walk towards the killer as you do not know where they are all the time + there s simply better perks + vault speed removed
    3. really? i m not using it so i dont know, i highly doubt it. would need to test the perk. imma do that and then i post this message after 1 game with it

So i tested it and here is what i noticed:

    • it is tied to terror radius so no, it does not work against stealth killers (tested against demogorgon emerging from a portal; it did not activate until their TR was audible)

The red indicator is tied up, yes. The lighting up isn't. I can tell you more: 36 meters is much bigger distance than ANY basic terror radius, so Spine Chill becomes active much earlier than you hear TR.

  • All survs' names still work as it was previously, but you can tap their points to open the menu too. So killer's name should be bugged? Idk honestly, but I was really confused.

Im so frustrated by the new update. I mostly play survivor so i think i just need 2 more people to prestige to lvl one before the update which is doable for me. But ive recently picked up playing some killer just unlocked all the teachables bar the dredge ones and taught them to pyramid head as id like to use him and now ill lose all those perks as i dont have any killer p1. So frustrating.

Your unlocked perks will stay unlocked "even if having them contradict new system" ©

As far as I know, all unlocked teachables will stay unlocked and will be shared as tier 1 for all killers who don't have them yet (just like if you have those killers P1). And even if not - you won't loose any perks you've got so far from bloodweb anyway. So if your Pyramid Head has those perks on tier 3, he will have those perks on tier 3 after the update too.

The perk deactivates once all generators are powered or if only one survivor is left in the trial.

  • Whoa, haven't had those type of experience. I understand your will to use lockers near the gen so maybe instead of looking for another one just let your team mates leave the area first. Don't use lockers when they can see you and missinterpret your behaviour.

And, if it suites your build, use Quick and Quiet to jump in a locker fast and without noise - it's not so common for hiding-in-the-locker-type of people so less survs would assume you're doing this without reason (and maybe they won't even hear you've jumped in).

When do i get the special Prestige Background formy Killer ?

Do i Need to Prestige my Killer to Prestige 3 before the Update or only Prestige 1 to get the Special Reward?

Because my Demodoggo isnt Prestige yet but i have alot addons and Good perks 4 him

I Really wants to get the Special Reward 4 him but when i only get it if he is Prestige 3 before the Update i dont want to Prestige him yet

Special Reward (aka red background) is for those who had P3 before the update.

You have to prestige your Demo to P3 before update goes live if you want this reward for him.

What's your point in copy pasting me? Camping and tunneling only happens if survivors let it happen.

I can count more times people with BT throw themselves at me than the times i went for the same survivor twice in a row...And i guarantee you the times Survivors do that by far is higher than the number of killers that actively tunnel. It's a 4 to 1 ratio when BT and Ds has been Meta for years and people throw themselves at killers cause they know they can't die, so don't come here and spin things when the math doesn't help you.

You have the numbers advantage, you can prevent tunneling and camping. The worst thing that can happen is you coming into a Basement Trapper Hag or Bubba, how manny times do you face Trappers and Hags!? Barely anyone plays them, the most you can complain about is Bubba's and even then you always have the option to avoid looping the basement to prevent a strong camping option.

Even if you face a Bubba you can do rescues, Trade. Trades favor survivors, you can see how manny hook states your teammates have so trading allows the killer to remain in the same spot camping while the others are free to still do gens.

If you fail to trade and get slugged then crawl away, if they pick you up and bring you closer then a teammate should use that opportunity to rescue the hooked guy.

Don't act like killers control how a match goes, cause they don't, never did, never will. A killer's objective isn't babysitting gens to avoid their completion, a killers objective is to sacrifice survivors, each survivor has 3 lives + whatever second chances they use for each life, that's alot of second chances. If someone dies on first hook is either them giving up or the team not rescuing...You can get away from camping and tunneling, if you aren't getting away from it then your team mates are simply not helping you.

It's not a guess game, Perks exists for a reason. Experience exists for a reason.

Securing your fun first is the mistake. FUN is the match as a whole, not individual parts. Doing gens might be boring AF but you can engage in chases, rescues, healing, etc. So if all you did was gens then that's on you. Go try and take a hit for someone, go rescue someone, go heal someone.

    >>Camping and tunneling only happens if survivors let it happen.

Gen rushing only happens if killers let it happen. I can play this game too. Do you want me to advice you to use slowdown perks if you aren't able to prevent survs from completing gens? Just like you advice me to use second chance perks. Use noed. Use bloodwarden. You have plenty of perks to deal with genrushing survs. Do you think it's fun to deal with tunneling using DS? Nope. It's not. Tunneling games isn't fun even if you escape. And the game where you were tunneled out on 5 gens isn't fun too.

    >>You can get away from camping and tunneling, if you aren't getting away from it then your team mates are simply not helping you.

I won't write here that you are completely able to get awat from genrushing. What I will write is I can't afford to check first if my team will help me in that case. Firstly I secure my object points to make my potential death worth it and then I'll check whether my teammates have BT and are able to rescue me from camping Bubba.

    >>Securing your fun first is the mistake. FUN is the match as a whole, not individual parts. Doing gens might be boring AF but you can engage in chases, rescues, healing, etc.

Yeah. Fun is the match as a whole and just like you don't like games where all gens are done in 5 mins with no hooks for you, there's no fun in a match that is 4 mins long 2 of which I'm on hook, granted with 7k points.

It's not fun, it's frustrating, and nobosy wants that.

I can't even do gens/rescues/heals if the only thing I do is been chased the whole time and left to die on my first hook by ramdoms. So no. I prefer to do at least one gen and THEN being involved in chases knowing perfecly I have a decent amount points in my objective emblem. Then my game lasts at least some time and has fun inside.

And as a killer I prefer FIRSTLY make myself sure survs won't pop up all gens too soon (applying descent pressure) and THEN mess around knowing I'm able to have fun game and make at least couple kills. One difference from others - I want everyone has fun so I try to hook everyone twice before first kill and don't kill people before I'm sure I really have to do that to protect myself from not having fun. So sometimes it's too late and then I don't really have fun, you know. No one want feel unskillful and miserable. Neither survs nor killers.

    >>It's not a guess game, Perks exists for a reason. Experience exists for a reason.

I can tell you the same thing. Use slowdown perks, they exist for a reason, just like your expirience. But here we are, arguing about survs who don't want to earn more than 15k. Do you let survs earn more points if they OBVIOUSLY are potatoes and too weak for you? I wish you do. I personally saw only few mercifull killers who let us do smth although we were much weaker than them. Most of the times it's "gg ez lol" or (bless them) silence with 15k for killer. Why don't they have fun to earn more than 15k? They don't really want to babysit us. That's understandable. But don't blame survs if you aren't able to stop them from doing gens and they don't want to babysit you either.

The whole your posts looks like you ask people to eNjOy tHe GaMe to loose in the end being proud about that. But you know, to loose proudly you have to feel game as even and entertaining. And if gamers (don't matter killers or survs) miss their opportunity to set up a win conditions for themselves firstly they most likely won't have fun at all and loose miserable. It works both for killers and survs. Survs aren't exclusive here. If both sides make this set up - it's fun for both. If not - fun is totaly optional.

  • Sounds super interesting.

What a shame any time I equip red glyph perks challenge I can't find one :D

do you get +2 if you are prestige 0?

    P1 + 2 = P3

    P0 + 2 = P2 ¿?

It says you get 2 additional prestige's for each prestige you already own... And you don't have one.

    P1*2 = 2. So you'll get 2 additional prestiges and will end on 1+2=3.

P2*2 = 4 So 4 additional prestiges and you will end on 2+4=6

And P0*2=0. No prestiges for you, unless you have enough perk tiers.

So let me get this straight. Survivors gen rush because they want the 5k from escape!? Wich turns into 10k with a Cake or BPS. What if told you you can get the same 5k, or whatever multiplicative, IF YOU JUST PLAY THE GAME!

"OH we never know if the killer is gonna slug at 5 gens". If you don't openly show you're just gonna gen rush then maybe the killer won't slug you at 5 gens!?

Like what the hell you expect a killer to do when he sees 2 toolboxes for example? You think he will just let you gen rush for EZ escape!?

So you can gen rush because killer might be an ######### but killer can't counter your gen rush!?

    Such thinking much entitlement!

" First we secure escape then we farm BP" Oh so the killer only exists for you after you've made sure you can win easily!? After all gens are done it's easy to just gang up on any killer...

    Mob mentality...i got you.

You'll get more points doing a bit of everything else than you will just gen rushing and escaping. Getting 15k points just to SURVIVE is dumb.

You're tading both Points and FUN just to complete the objective. And you trade DOUBLE the points whenever there's extra BP...

You guys rather get more 15k matches than you want fun, than you want points. You clearly don't enjoy the game, you just want in and out without doing anything worth it...

This is why i'll never find survivor a

tractive to play, especially as a SOLOQ player. People will let you die just for them to get their measely 5k points. Then they'll complain for you dying and not helping them gen rush harder.

They're the kind of people to drop every pallet and shift W to the next one everytime so that nobody else can get a decent chase. they're the kind of people to not rescue someone because the killer MIGHT be doing A, B or C...

So let me get this straight. Killers slug ang go hard tunnel because they want the 6k from the game!? Wich turns into 12k with a Cake or BBQ. What if told you you can get the same 6k, or whatever multiplicative, IF YOU JUST PLAY THE GAME!

"OH we never know if the survs are gonna pop up 5 gens in two minures". If you don't openly show you're just gonna slug the whole team or tunnel and camp then maybe the survs won't genrush you!?

Like what the hell you expect a survs to do when they see you are facecamping for example? You think they will just let you kill them on 5 gens for EZ game!?

So you can tunnel and camp because survs might be an ######### but survs can't counter your tunnel/slugging/camping by gen rush!?

    Such thinking much entitlement!

" First we secure a kill to make the game 3v1 then we farm BP" Oh so other survs only exist for you after you've made sure you can win easily!? After 1 kill at 4 gens is done it's easy to just gang up on survs...

    Mob mentality...i got you.

You'll get more points doing a bit of everything else than you will just slugging or tunnel one surv for the whole game. Getting 15k points just to WIN is dumb.

You're tading both Points and FUN just to complete the objective. And you trade DOUBLE the points whenever there's extra BP...

You guys rather get more 15k matches than you want fun, than you want points. You clearly don't enjoy the game, you just want in and out without doing anything worth it...

This is why i'll never find survs a tractive to play, especially as a SOLOQ player. Killers will tunnel you out on 5 gen just for them to get their measely 7k points. Then they'll complain for you to genrushing and forcing them to tunnel and camp.

They're the kind of people to kick every pallet right away with no mindgames and shift W to the next one everytime so that nobody else can get a decent chase. they're the kind of people to slugg all team or tunnel you out because the survs MIGHT be doing A, B or C...

I mean... I can see a pattern here, don't you? I can name a lot of games both for survs and killers where I wasn't focused enough to get some points first and - boom - I don't have a chance for that. I was chased for 3 gens and died. Got a little more than 9k or 10k because I got nothing except full chase emblem and some bonuses from others' gens. Maybe I'm not really good at hockey but sometimes I just scream "let me do a gen, gosh, let me breath, let me HEAL AT LEAST BRUH STOP".

And sometimes I just scream "let me chase you, stop doing gens, gosh, I'm not SO good, there's no need in that rush, I only want my BBQ and then you're free to go and t-bag!!". But afterwards I go play survs, and face same kind of killer, and show empathy, and decide to pay attention to bones and chests instead of gens and... well... then we manage to get only 2 gens and die with same 15k as you've mentioned (or less) and killer get their 25-28k because apparently sometimes altruism against facecamper gives more benefits for killers (as free hits and downs and separate hooks) instead of survs.

I don't genrush (but maybe you'd call it that way) but I never ever let myself mess around doing nothing (archives don't count, guilty) if I'm not sure someone else is doing objectives. Otherwise I can die with less than 7k and you can't blame me for trying to get AT LEAST 15k :D

It's a guess-game and everyone wants to secure their fun first.

In an earlier thread, Mandy Talk said that the new catch-up mechanic does not take into account the number of perks, but basically only prestige level 9. Which is the correct answer?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/334141

It DOES take perks into account. But the max prestige you are able to get is 9 now (instead of 12). So if you have P3, your perks just don't matter - you'll get P9 anyway.

But if you have P1 or P2, you are able to get P9 if you have enough perk tiers. And in case of P0 you are able to get up to 6(?) prestiges only with perk tiers.

that's what I'm thinking but idk I just don't want to make the wrong choice do you know when the patch comes out?

Need to add: it could be not that bad. If you have 90 points, you get 1 extra prestige level. Your killers should be lvl50, right? Then after update your killers will be p1lvl50. Ready to prestige. So you prestige (without loosing anything) -> p2lvl1. And you have to go through 50 lvls of bloodweb only one time to get one more prestige. P2lvl0 -> P2lvl50 -> p3lvl0. All their perks are tier3 at this point.

If you ask me, I'd say 40 flans is better than 1.6mill bp for one prestige. I'd prefer flans, honestly.

    Platform - PS4

Description - When grade reset happened I was brought up to 1.5 mil bp (1 mil from Survivor grade and 50k from killer grades) but I thought it would be stored separately than the 1 mil you normally earn as I can't earn the regular 1 mil to have 2.5mil before the progression update. Is this a bug or are grade bloodpoints not considered gifted BP anymore?

    It doesn't work that way.

This "considered gifted BP" thing let you get more that 1 mil of bp at your account. So if you don't spend them untill next reset, you'll get another million, and another and so on. That's it. The fact you didn't end up at round 1 000 000 is prove there's no bug here.

If your total bp number is higher than 1mil, you can't earn bp from games. Doesn't matter how many bps you had before reset or before redeeming a code.
