Sluzzy when no bait taken
guys please dont take their bait -
She needs a higher skill-cap. She's WAY too easy to play as for her strength. Nurse may be OP but at least she takes skill to learn/play.
If no higher skill-cap, then definitely a full-on rework tbh.

Answer my question first.
Or, I'll do it myself, since you seem to be incapable of doing that.
>So does the blight camera change.
Something that was supposed to be done after PTB, was done only 7 months later.
>And the wraith buff.
Took years after Wraith's last noticeable change.
>And removing maps that prevented survivors being hit.
A rare exception.
I would also like to remind you about DS nerf that took 2 years. Pallet vacuum fix that took 2 years and so on.
Blight's camera change taking 7 months is reasonable. They had to modify ALL of his animations just to fix his POV. I'm surprised it didn't take longer, in fact I wouldn't have blamed them.
-
I really agree with you, I LOVE the trickster, almost everything about them. The design team did an excellent job on him, his lore, perks, character, etc. But his power makes him reasonably hard to like. I love the concept they have for his power but my god it's just weak.
-
We'll probably be seeing an announcement about it next week.
-
Okay this would be REALLY cool tho.
Even tho this one wasn't on the list, maybe a killer with the ability to fly around the map to see where survivors are and be able to land on a survivor to get rid of a health state. Flying also gives them good mobility. They'd prob have a 110% speed and a 24m terror radius, but they'd be really fun to play as and against.
-
I love the poster! And tysm to you and BHVR for spreading the message on here! ❤️
-
I hope this is the last day we see J-flick related posts.
Nevermind, hoping is pointless nowadays.
-
Haddonfield SUCKS! Hmm... now that I think of it, @Sluzzy might be able to be the only person to defend Haddonfield.
-
Some may argue that this increases Blight's skill cap, which is true. Some may also argue that unintended mechanics can lead to being respected by the community and developers. However, this is different. BHVR has stated that they are not okay with the J-flick and do not want their fog whisperers to use the J-flick. Take Super Smash Bros. Melee for an example. The wavedash was an exploit found by the developers of the game. Sakurai wanted to keep it because of the potential it had for competitive play.
If BHVR does not want to keep the J-flick, it's best if you respect their decision. Play Blight how you want, J-flick or not, but you can't deny it's an exploit. If you don't wanna play Blight how he was intended to once the gets the exploit removed, then go ahead and play Stridor Spirit. No one really cares man.
-
Welp, Fat Jesus is about to get crucified. Again.
-
Pretty interesting playstyle. I kinda wanna see how Ruin and Undying would work out on him though, maybe Surveillance as well to top it off as a replacement for Discordance that goes well with those two.
It's sad that the only way to make Trickster viable is to play him like an M1 killer not even using his own power and only using it to hit obsessions for STBFL. He's basically the inbred result of Deathslinger and Demogorgon.
-
The PC elitists have invaded the forums, RUN!
-
Far from weak. He's pretty damn powerful in the right hands.
-
He's in a perfect state rn, they actually made him fun to play as and against. He's one of my favorite killers to play against because of the fear impact.
-
I'm p sure everyone who wants the j-flick removed want stretch res removed as well, including me.
-
It's so hard to take this post seriously because of that god-tier username. Sorry lmao
In all seriousness though I don't blame you considering I had a game against an Insidious Bubba (in red ranks btw) where I was the only one who escaped because I did gens while they were being camped instead of going for saves. The other 3 SWFs flamed me for not going for saves with BT but eh, what kinda overconfident maniac would go for saves against an Insidious Bubba?
I don't think it's a good idea to dodge SWF lobbies though, you might stress yourself out with the queue y'know. Plus, it's kinda rough to put on a stereotype towards SWF squads. I think every lobby is worth playing unless you just played with a survivor and all that survivor did was disconnect or something idk.
-
Apparently you can do this all you want in custom lobbies, I believe. Weird this ain't official in actual lobbies, would be cool to see my sexeh Clown's face before the game starts.

Yeah I can understand that as he worked to get it to begin with. But I was watching his trickster stream and he essentially said (paraphrasing here) "If you guys are complaining about the devs decisions why are you playing their game, go play something else."
I just don't agree with his attitude towards feedback when that's his response. People who care about the game just want it to be better. I enjoy him as a player and content creator, just not his attitude when it comes to stuff like that. Really confuses me as he himself gives criticism sometimes (or rarely depending on your view), but then talks down to others when they give theirs for even saying anything. But everyone has their flaws. Overall he's seems like an ok guy.
Again, not attacking him or anything, just expressing my views.
Jeez he actually said that? Ouch.
I still like him but I feel like it was unnecessary of him to say that. People are allowed to state their opinions on the game's state and still like playing the game. He really didn't have to say that :/
-
Babysitter isn't really a good perk but it's actually a pretty healthy one as well, considering it prevents the killer from being able to tunnel the recently unhooked survivor. I just wish it gave a bloodpoint bonus to reward the survivor from preventing their teammate from being tunneled.
The Off the Record + Babysitter combo could work for an SWF team, though Iron Will is a lot more common so that helps for solo queue.
-
@MrPenguin said:
Right now its Scott. Otz is second but he white knights the devs a bit too much for my liking personally to be on top. No shade or anything, wish him the best, I just disagree with his takes sometimes (which is fine).
Meh, I don't blame Otz. He probably wants to keep his Fog Whisperer status, which is understandable.
-
Ruin may be one hell of a perk to go against, but it's WAY more healthy right now and it's actually well-designed.
Edit: I just realized I contributed to a year-old post. My bad lmao

@MadLordJack said:
I guess the Devs assumed that he was simply a high-skill killer that would become insane in the right hands. Why they thought that when he has spread and recoil is beyond me. Skill cannot overcome a die roll.
Actually uh, the devs consider his skill cap to be low. He's the last killer since Bubba to be in the "Easy" category, the other two being Trapper and Hillbilly.
-
Yeah, Trickster ABSOLUTELY needs NOED. There's no counterargument to that, heh.
-
@Shymare_11 said:
I mean Bubba naturally counters BT with his chainsaw, so really it would be you becoming another ornament on the basement Christmas tree and that's it. You made the right choice there.
Oh ok thank god.

@Jealousy said:
Oh! My mistake. I just got Ghostface, so I'll take a listen to his menu music. Thanks!
His menu music is spooki.
-
Lobby:
- Trickster - It's so damn unique
- Clown - Fits him too well
- Demogorgon - Has the same energy as the Stranger Things opening theme
- Hillbilly - I don't know how to describe his, it's just very good.
- Ghostface - Scariest one out of all of them
Chase:
- Deathslinger - Has a lot of tension
- Hillbilly - Same description as the lobby music
- Oni - It's ######### awesome.

I didn't realize Ghostface had his own chase music. Or some of the others. The ones that really stand out to me are the Clown and now Trickster. Otherwise, I just hear ramped up music telling me I'm being chased, but they often blend together in my mind. It's probably just me!
I think they meant menu music, GF doesn't have his own chase music sadly.
-
April Fools was yesterday, you're a bit late :P
I'll laugh in pity, though.
-
SWF is fun if you're actually playing for fun and not sweating.
-
Not a Freddy main but eh, this thread sounds fun to contribute to.
Dying Light and Thanato (duh), Pop, and Sloppy. Gives as much slowdown as possible. Addons are Swing Chains and Jump Rope (obviously lol), and you got yourself Forever Freddy.
If you want more gen regression than healing slowdown you can replace Sloppy with Surge. If you want better tracking you can replace Sloppy with Surveillance.
-
My favorite counter to him is to get as much distance away from him as possible (aka hold W). This prevents him from getting those pesky Rites of Judgement hits due to its limited range.
-
Maybe you could slap Undying on there as well? To make survivors want to break their #########.
Oh and Surge to compliment Franklin's maybe.

To be fair, when survivors are heavy nerfed every patch there comes a point when some killers finally have to be nerfed. Now several needs to be nerfed. It's very imbalanced to have strong killers when survivors in general are extremely weak.
Uh...
@Sluzzy said:
Games that have rosters of characters you will always have some that are more skill-based and a little stronger than the others. It is just the way it is. Billy is that character. He is that awesome killer that you created that sits close to the top that players gravitate to when they not only want to test their skill but to actually have a fun time. Who doesn't want to grab a chainsaw and sprint across the map like a mad man? The montages of Billy are a masterpiece but with this new Billy would be impossible.
Four years this killer has been the same and people like myself have developed a skill in using him. What you did has erased it all. Not only do you have no freedom with the chainsaw but he is NOT fun now. You are creating a game and it should be fun. He is not rank 1 worthy. Rank 1 killer is already hell and you are making it worse by nerfing a fun viable killer. He is not that killer that I will want to play in my free time any more. He is a very limited Billy with a toy chainsaw with no ability to be creative with the saw to mindgame survivors around tedious loops where holding the saw is necessary. It would be like a Huntress that couldn't hold her hatchet. Even all the addons are horrible and not appealing at all. Why have addons if they are so bad?
The idea you would waste time destroying a perfect killer that is fun to use instead of actually improving your game in areas where it needs it because everyone knows it has many, many issues is a huge disservice and a major turnoff for a long-term player like myself.
I have lost all desire to play your game after four years. I am writing directly to you for the last time on your feedback page. Either leave Billy alone or you have lost a player that has played since 2016. I will uninstall and never entertain this game again. This is not a threat, but I hope you understand that Billy is seriously what I think of DBD at its core and I think for MANY other players as well. I absolutely love to play as him and I love to verse him. That is all.
@Sluzzy said:
Dear devs - "please" do not go through with your nurse changes. I play both sides equally, have faced survivors of all skill levels, I am telling you that nurse was fine with the exception of some of her addons being a 'little' too strong (in the right hands!). You have many people telling you that base nurse was perfectly fair, even survivor mains. You have console players telling you that she is extremely difficult to learn. Your nerf is doing nothing more than handicapping her so she is less effective against the sweatiest of survivors (AKA SWF teams). Survivors that already know how to juke her well and can use deadhard is very difficult when every second matters. Of all your killers, nurse requires the most practice to be effective. Do not penalize and marginalize your players for playing your game! This nerf is a handicap for everyone that has spent countless hours in learning this killer.
I will propose leaving her base exactly as it was before the PTB and improving your addons so they are not gimmicky. Her Ultra-Rare shouldn't prevent blinking through walls, etc. The addon that extends range has a huge downside that affects muscle memory... if you wanted more counterplay for the multiple blinks I propose adding more fatigue on the extra blinks, not the cooldown. This wouldn't handicap the nurse, rewards her for successful hits, and greatly penalize her for mistakes (allow survivor to juke and hide)
Please reconsider your changes and listen to people that play your game.
Can we get the old Sluzzy back?
-
C'mon Sluzzy, you coulda done this yesterday!
-
Nah, they should just make Unbreakable and Soul Guard basekit. Slugging is too OP, only bad killers use it.
/s
-
One way to fix this is to make it so that you can switch killers while in the queue and in a lobby against other survivors. However, all the other killers will be greyed out except the killer you are currently playing and other killers that are on close MMR levels to that killer. That's my idea.
A good reference to this is SSBU, in Elite Smash all the other characters except the ones you have in Elite Smash are greyed out.

Shred:
- So easy to just flick left or right and completely avoid it
- Tap E to outplay
Teleport
- Can be destroyed easily and taken away. You then need to walk all the way over the map to set it up again
Stealth
- Oblivious only lasts a short while
- Demo has BIG clomping footsteps so survivors can hear him anyway
Then there's just the general counterplay that comes from being a basic killer which is pallets and windows stop him cold. Also he roars all the time letting survivors know what he's doing and when he's in chase.
Now compare that to the average counterplay that survivors have at loops, or the counterplay that survivor meta perks have like DS, BT, DH, SB, Unbreakable etc - i.e. little to none.
It's very easy for survivors to make Demogorgan their "bad word" because he has so much counterplay and by comparison they have so little.
Shred:
- Fake your shred to get more distance towards the survivor, will cause the survivor to panic
- Bait out Dead Hard by faking Shred
Teleport:
- Hold right click (M2) to channel abyss. Channeling the abyss lets you know when a survivor is on top of an activated portal. If the portal is nowhere near a generator, let them waste time on that portal to slow the game down. If not, use one of your portals on the map or place a portal to get to that portal and begin the chase.
Stealth:
- Hide your portals so that it's harder for survivors to see you. You're likely to get a free hit if someone is near your portal.
- Can't argue with that one though but eh, his playstyle is similar to Wraith.
-
Demo is a strong killer, people just heavily underestimate the big guy. Anti-loop, mobility, mindgame potential, faking shreds, tracking ability and insane 3-gen pressure. In the right hands, they are one of the strongest B-tier killers in the game (probably even the strongest in the B-tier) IMO.
-
Mother-Daughter Ring addon? Or just Spirit making games end faster?

They sadly can't. For some reasons they have managed to reach the Orwellian state of doublethink where they can hold two opposite value while keeping both true at the same time.
And you dont need to look any further than the guy right over me for that
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2070764#Comment_2070764
I'm sure you'll be perfectly fine with a killer just going for the guy that got unhooked recently right? Since he is already 1 hook down and probably still wounded, he is clearly weak, and after all its not the killer fault for that survivor being weak, right?
Tunneling in general is fine because it's a playstyle but I don't see what that has to do what I said.

Probably because you're overreacting, it's not the survivors at fault it's the killer being weak.

Ight. yall think it's SOOOO easy to perform.
Go get a dpi mouse, go into a public match and try to flick survivors to see how "Easy" it really is,
I'll wait, you'll overflick or underflick,
I have a few clips of me J-flicking, I'll try to make a compilation out of it if I feel like it. Someone even gave me this comment despite me 3k'ing the game (last guy got hatch). J-flick is easier than it looks, but it's not easy nor is it difficult to perform.

Agreed.
