Well I’ve agreed main event is completely terribly in need of serious buffs such as a quicker start time, being able to pocket it, no stun or power restriction afterwards etc etc
I'm glad we can agree on that.

Dude everything about this chapter other than Trickster's power is great, but you can't deny that this killer is weak af. He has lots of potential but he's just not strong at the moment. Just because he has 1 other great thing about him doesn't automatically make him a good killer, and just because you're the only person who constantly gets good games with him doesn't make him good to everyone else. His power is WAY too inconsistent. The best you could do with him rn is run Monitor on him due to his 24m terror radius or run a slug or basement build, yet he doesn't even perform those two that well. Smart survivors will just dodge his knives from a long range as well.
Also, there are so many times where my Main Event charges up without me being able to use it. I'll try running Infectious on him sometime but it's still annoying how I have to waste it or get 0 use out of it.
-
That's a pretty solid build.

My ideas are very basic...
- Making him a 115% speed killer.
- Main Event should be activated by pressing Control (like the Oni Demon Fury).
- When fully charged, the killer and the survivors will hear a sound warning (like with the Oni, Plague, Myers fully charged powers)
- During the Main Event:
- Aim & throws infinite blades at fully 115% speed
- Terror Ratius tremendusly increased.
- Survivors inside the Terror Ratius trigger Killer Instinct.
- Blade's injuries should stay until the survivor makes a new healing interaction (like Mending/Snap of madness/Wake up/etc...)
- As higher is the blade-metter more time it takes.
- Addons who affect the decay delay will increase the time takes to do that healing interaction for each blade.
- As higher is the blade-metter more time it takes.
This is not for making him more viable....
But... Maybe an animation of him making a cool pose with scenario lights pointing on him while activating Main Event?
As a negative effect of being able to choose when to use it...
These are really cool ideas! I love the idea of the killer instinct showing, it actually makes him feel more viable if he gets his own tracking ability!

It's such a shame that they brought out one of the best chapters, proceeded to release a well thought-out killer with an interesting power concept but failed to execute their gameplay well. I really hope they fix Twins and Trickster, they fixed Blight, I really want to believe in them.

@Zaytex said:
Yeah this guy is fun but he's easily one of the worst killers, if not, the weakest of them all. I'm just debating on whether Trickster or Trapper is the worst, because they're both awful.
Eh, at least Trapper's got actual snowball potential and the ability to disable pallets (which is unfortunately easy to counter). Trickster's power is just WAY too inconsistent.

Coming from someone who thinks clown is any good at all kind of has their opinion blocked out for me, sorry.
Imagine not respecting others' opinions because you disagree with something that is completely off-topic to this thread. OP has a point that most of us can agree on (aka Trickster being terrible).

A month after Blight released, I got back into DBD to try him out. Got his 3 perks on tier 3, and played a ton of games with him. I failed a lot, but I got hooked into learning him because I felt like I was just playing horribly and Blight was REALLY fun despite getting 0 kills for 10 games. The thing is though, Blight has anti-loop and god-tier mobility. Trickster doesn't have much in his kit other than an inconsistent ranged attack and another ranged attack. No anti-loop, no mobility, just an alternative M1. Plus, his movement speed is 110%, which is literally the same as Spirit's, who is arguably the 2nd most powerful killer in the game.
Sure you can go for long-ranged attacks but the survivor will just hide under a rock. He's heavily outclassed by Deathslinger for what he's got. I REALLY hope he gets buffed. They made him fun to play as and against, but they didn't manage to balance him right.
-
I REALLY want to believe this guy has potential but my god, how on Earth is he 110% while Plague is 115%?
I still want him to keep that 24m terror radius but PLEASE devs, PLEASE increase his movement speed to 115%.

######### man, I REALLY hope it's just a bug.

Please say sike

I'm pretty sure most people here agreed that Undying needed a nerf.
Also, you sound pretty down. You should get some rest.
-
This perk is gonna be scary on Twins and Bubba. Like, REALLY scary.
-
I suppose that's a good thing in my case, haven't been able to play survivor in a while because I always play in solo queue and getting garbage teammates after a 6 minute wait in the queue is just horrible.
-
It's unironically the perk I'm most excited for in this patch. I'm REALLY excited to try it out with Stake Out.
EDIT: Wait what the ######### I just read the perk description again and HOLY it's actually way more powerful than it looks.
-
I can't wait for the Sluzzy redemption arc when the DBD servers close permanently and they make their final post on the forums. Will truly be the saddest moment in the history of these forums.
-
I like his power but he seems kinda outclassed by Bubba. Maybe he could use a slightly bigger lunge and faster vault speed for T3. Oh and we need multistalk back. Maybe a slight addon rework too.
-
Oppression only activates when a killer kicks a generator, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.
For this reason, Pop is the best perk to go with Oppression.
-
Don't worry, I believe in ya man!
-
This is awesome :O
I'd love to see where this is going!
-
WGLF, For the People, an exhaustion perk (preferably DH or Sprint Burst for this build), and BT for securing WGLF tokens.
I chose For the People as the "misfit" because it might sound out of place, but at the same time very useful. Not only will it be good for farming bloodpoints, but it also compliments WGLF's healing bonus for reviving downed survivors. Can't heal a slug in time? For the People! Injured? Use that WGLF boost to heal 'em up.
If you're not farming BPs you can replace BT with Buckle Up for maximum anti-slug or Fixated (though I only recommend Fixated if you're running Sprint Burst).
Good luck!
-
I'm genuinely excited for him. He looks fun to play as, he's got awesome perks, even though he's really weak he's definitely a killer anyone can pick up due to his low skill cap (He's the first killer ever since Bubba to be considered Easy by the devs!).
-
Nurse is fine, high skill cap rewards power. Spirit could definitely use a rework as her skill cap is too medium for a strong killer.
-
If Demo gets a 3 gen, do NOT cleanse the portals far away from the 3 gen. It gives it free portals and benefits it more than it benefits your team. Also, if you hear Demo's sound effects after it teleports to a portal, that's your cue to get away.
Try to be unpredictable in loops, and try not to fall for fakes. Demo has very good anti-loop (it's a monster in shack loops) that is very similar to Blight's so keep that in mind. You can also fake your window vaults to screw the Demo over.

Yea im addicted to shadowborn. Shouldn't be a perk though it should be in the settings
Really wish it was :/
When I started playing Minecraft I always used Quake Pro and still use it to this day (though I don't play MC that much anymore). An FOV slider would be awesome. They could probs rework Shadowborn to make the killer's vision brighter if they add an FOV slider, would be sweet.
-
I love this, would make Clown feel more fun and scary to play against.

Another Blighty boi that runs Shadowborn? :O
Seriously though I love running Shadowborn on Blight, makes me feel wayyy faster. Using Shadowborn w/ double speed addons looks INSANE.
Also, congrats on that 4k!
-
Honestly, the best they could do is just buff it to make the survivors' screens darker when they have the blindness effect. For example, the effect that happens after getting M1 downed by Knock Out could be permanent until the survivor gets out of the blindness effect. Though that would probably make The Third Seal annoying to play against.
-
I feel like they should also make daily rituals more rewarding. 30k bloodpoints ain't gonna cut it, I could get that much in one game, even more than that with BBQ. I would buff the normal dailies' bloodpoint reward to 60k bps, and the mori and escape (including exit gate) ones to 80k bloodpoints. Also, they should make the limit of dailies 5 instead of 3. So if I get all 5 dailies done and all of them were the basic ones, that's 300k bloodpoints which is pretty rewarding for playing the game every day.
-
It's not that they're both unintended, it's that the j-flick requires a separate program in order to work. As everyone here said, both sides are hypocritical.
-
Welp, I have an excuse to share my tier list on here again.
-
I think the best we could ever get to a chill mode is an offline mode with just bots, but I don't think that'll happen for a good while unfortunately considering the dev team has other priorities.
-
Bodyblocking rewards the survivor for being a good and reliable teammate with protection points, and a WGLF stack if you're running it.

The Doctor should get medical tools to attack people with. The Clown should get a clown car and throw pies at people. The Demogorgon should have Survivors roll for initiative.
Now I really want to see the Clown driving a clown car. Thanks a lot >:(

To me it depends on the context. If you're slugging for pressure it's more than fine, but if you're slugging just to leave everyone on the ground for 4 minutes it gets toxic (not including if you just can't find the survs).
@Marc_go_solo said:
It could be dependant on when the slugging happens and for what reason.
For example, slugging because survivors are blindly going for the save in packs or as an endgame tactic to mop up is no issue for me, whether as survivor or killer. It's a tactic that's useful if the opportunity to do so is present.
In certain instance, like at the start of the game where a killer just floors the survivor and goes in search of others to knock down, it's certainly not fun but even then I wouldn't class it as toxic.
It slows the game down. However, it's also a situational tactic. As the unfun sample shows, the killer will just waste their time doing it. But if survivors swarm - makes perfect sense!
@[Deleted User] said:
Slugging is fine, in no instance is it toxic outside of when it is done with intent to be so.
Such as slugging everyone when the game is over and just letting them bleed out just because you can, while standing over them to make sure they can't do anything about it. There is no reason for that, it's done with intent to BM survivors.
In no other situation is it toxic, period.
These are all great takes.
Anyways, here's my take:
Slugging is necessary in many situations, such as when you down a survivor, but oh wait, Discordance goes off, better go to that gen! It increases map pressure and is pretty reliable. It's fine in general because there are situations where you absolutely need to rely on slugging, but if you intend to super-slug everyone and not hook them at all, that's also fine but I don't understand how anyone has fun with doing that.
-
I love that addon.
-
That'd be freakin' sweet.
-
Blight main since November (wait, late October, I believe) here.
I'm not a fan of the j-flick, it's confirmed to be an exploit (Are normal flicks fine? aka turning your mouse a lot while Blight's camera slowly moves and then swinging to get a turn). If the j-flick gets removed, maybe Blight will be more fun to play against?
I don't blame you for getting stressed out with playing as and against him tbh.
-
Agreed, he can literally disable pallets, windows, loops, and my dignity. Also, instadown ability? Literally OP. It gives killers free downs.
-
Descend Beyond is definitely one of the most successful chapters done by BHVR. Blight is an incredibly well-designed killer, Felix's model is awesome, their lore is AMAZING (they technically teased the Blight way before he released), the perks are awesome, BHVR deserves a pat on the back for that one.
I do hope console players will get to enjoy the fun of Blight someday.

These bandages will only work for a few minutes, unfortunately. They'll break in 4 minutes.

This reminds me of that one Nurse addon that gives you 115% speed for 60 seconds after hitting a survivor with a blink but removes your ability to blink for 60 seconds each time. I like this one.

Sure thing
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/963849204?t=10h00m27s
Here's a vod from a streamer I faced earlier, timestamped to the start of the match.
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/784880189129359363/825127809981743134/im_an_actual_god.mp4
Here's also a clip I edited down earlier of a match because I thought it was pretty cool. Theoretically this should work.
Also today I got this achievent
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/784880189129359363/825144068135977000/unknown.png
Which you can feel free to ask someone friends with me on Steam to verify.
ALSO today, and you can ask @glitchboi for this one, I faced a streamer as Speed Limiter Bubba and, whilst I don't have the VOD for that on hand, they were watching it live and can verify the match took place.
Would you like some more proof that I actually play the game on a regular basis or can I stop here?
Don't worry, I gotcha homie!

I still don't understand why the perk was nerfed, literally had so much potential and would have been such a fun perk to use. Now it's just boring to use, would have been WAY more fun on Wraith, Myers, and Spirit.
-
I finally got a greeting from Sluzzy themself. My life is complete.
-
Demi!

Hi Sluzzy.

I really, REALLY hope the 5th anniversary event is gonna be the biggest event in DBD history. I don't think I can expect much, but man, double BPs for the whole event and a 105% BPs offering for all players...
