And? still has all his other problems including anti billy map design.
Yeah some of his add-ons are still poop, but let's just be happy we're getting something interesting.
-
They didn't bother fixing the issue with All Seeing Blood, they just decreased its range which is dumb. It's still going to be a powerful add-on.
The removal of 0.25 seconds from the uncloak speed boost after uncloaking isn't going to do much, but it's still hilarious on how they nerfed Wraith. "It made him a wee bit over powered"

No. That's gross. We don't need an old lady...
We've got Bill tho. He's pretty old.
-
Remove i-frames and increase its distance a bit. It would make the perk take more skill to use and focus on the distance part of it instead of practically giving survivors the ability to phase through a hit.
-
Yeah let's make solo queue more painful, got it.
-
I would say just give him a 28m terror radius. Would make him unique.
He'll obviously need some compensation measures (buffs) though.
-
An iridescent add-on that makes it so the chain instantly injures a survivor would be really cool (as long as it has downsides).
To answer your question though, I'm not really sure. Maybe buff him to 115% to set him aside from Huntress.
-
Damn I'm kinda scared about the new Torn Bookmark.
I feel like they should cap the recharge reduction so that you can't patch it up with a recharge add-on.
-
Only thing I dislike are the Deathslinger changes, because he might be not worth playing as anymore over Huntress or even Trickster.
-
If anything, it needed a nerf. Tier 1 Iron Will and infinite Unbreakable all in one perk? Too OP.
-
It doesn't seem like there's any reason to play him over Huntress anymore.
Huntress can hit through dropped pallets, has a faster cooldown, and has better 1v4. I guess if you find him more fun I suppose.

No, there's still more in store for keys down the line. I can't go into details on just what that is yet, though.
Oh okay, interesting...

That was a typo, there is a PTB this week. I've gone ahead and updated the post.
Wait, is the key and hatch changes the ones you all were referring as the key rework, or will there be something bigger eventually?
-
I took a break from DBD for a year after the Moonrise event in 2019. I simply just got bored of it.
I came back to it in May 2020 (before the Pyramid Head PTB), took another break shortly after the Bubba rework & Billy nerf mid-chapter for 2 months, then came back a month after Blight came out.
-
Yeah just revert him back to his old self (before he was reworked entirely) and then start from there by giving him his teleportation ability and other buffs/QoL changes.
-
It's a genuinely fun game. 25 killers to choose from with different powers, 182 perks overall for creativity, and every game will usually be different.
-
Because...
- Killer variety.
- Not everyone plays solely to win.
- Not everyone finds the same three killers fun.
-
Ace, Yui, and Yun-Jin.
-
Shoulda played better
-
Where's Billy? I'd say his backstory is the saddest. Poor guy was locked up by his parents because he was born disfigured. He had to do everything on his own, it was pretty much the world vs. him, since the police officers were against him too.
Being confined in a brick room with your parents barely feeding you while humiliating you, not to mention the fact that you're born with your face messed up.
-
Yeah we'll just see how it goes. If it turns out to be too much, I wouldn't mind giving her 115% movement speed.
-
If you'd like to access super high MMR, you can run Ruin, Undying, Tinkerer, and Corrupt/BBQ/PGTW on Nurse or Blight.
Here are some other combos that won't put you in super high MMR, but mid to high MMR:
- Enduring and Spirit Fury for M1 killers such as Legion, Clown, and Wraith.
- Corrupt + PGTW is a powerful combo. You can throw in Ruin instead of Corrupt and see if that works better for you.
- Lethal Pursuer + Corrupt. Works best with Billy, Oni, and Blight. You can just use LP and leave Corrupt out of it, if that suits you better.
- M1 killers benefit from Surge the best, such as Trapper, Wraith, Nurse, Myers, yada yada. Surge + Surveillance is pretty fun. Throw in PGTW and you've got some reliable slowdown.
However, if you'd like to have fun, here's my favorite combos:
- PGTW and Eruption is a nice combo for many killers and I highly recommend it. Works on pretty much every killer since Eruption doesn't require basic attacks.
- Agitation, Starstruck, Mad Grit, and Iron Grasp. A fun build if you want to goof off and be a vacuum cleaner. You can actually throw in Forced Penance instead of Starstruck or Iron Grasp if you'd like.
- PWYF + Nemesis (the perk, not the killer) is really fun on particular killers, Plague especially.
-
He's not a bad killer in terms of strength, he's strong in the right hands. But is he perfectly reminiscent to his actual self from Resident Evil? Definitely not.
-
๐
Body is 1 character too short.

@Huge_Bush said:
Not me, I was always terrible with her. Instead, Iโll be playing Basement Trapper.
The new Trapper Sack will be great for basement Trapper since it won't really matter that much to pick up the bear traps (you can just walk through them and take the stun), not to mention you'll have all the bear traps you need to set it up without needing to go out of your way to find more bear traps.
-
I'll def try her out in the PTB to see how it goes. She might be a killer I'll play every now and then.
-
Myers will probably be the worst killer, either him or Pig. Trapper will be barely above both on my tier list.
-
It's only problematic on Nurse and Blight. It's fine on any other killer.
Making it so that it only activates once per gen would only be a nerf to Tinkerer for those two killers, and slightly for everyone else.
-
We'll see in the PTB. If it happens to be too much, I'm down for her to be 115%. In my old Spirit rework concept, I thought of the idea of giving her 115% m/s to compensate for nerfing her.
-
It won't top DBD, but it might have a chance to rival it, and saying "might" is incredibly generous. Don't get me wrong, I'm very excited for VHS, I've already signed up for the open beta, but with all the licenses DBD has gotten, DBD has simply become the king of the genre.
-
It's not supposed to be a perk to assist you in chases, it's more of a support perk.
-
He needs better add-ons. I do like him but if you just use his power at windows and pallets and M1 for the free hit after zoning them out, it just feels boring. However, if you're good at him, he can be really fun if you can land those difficult shots, his skill cap is insane.
-
Nah I'm excited too. I'm very interested in both Boon perks and Scourge Hook pers.
-
We'll definitely get more info with part 2 of the dev update on Monday or before said day. However, I doubt we'll be getting the 21.5 reveal until the PTB releases. The PTB will likely be next Tuesday, so 4 days.
-
That doesn't look like 4:3. They're definitely cheating.
-
Definitely Billy.
Literally no experienced player wanted him nerfed at all (aside from his add-ons), but here we are. Not to mention they absolutely butchered his add-ons.
-
One of the most interesting, interactive, and fun killers to play as we've gotten in a while!
-
@Apollos said:
He's fun to play against, but he still doesn't feel like anything all that unique. But that's really more of the game itself.
He's not unique in terms of his general power, being able to slow survivors down, but his gameplay is very unique IMO. It forces one survivor off gens to focus on the box, and his slowdown ability takes effort to achieve.
-
Damn that sounds surreal as hell.
Dreams can be realistic then take a weird turn like how the game crashed (which I found pretty disturbing). I wonder though, do you remember her backstory?
-
My favorite build on Legion is Enduring + Spirit Fury, Surge, and any perk of your choice, and that's it. The last perk can be BBQ if you want bloodpoints, Bamboozle if you need extra chase to down a survivor, or it can be PGTW if you need more slowdown.
Stacking chase perks on Legion is the way to go, since it allows Legion to handle chases decently while still being able to use his wonderful utility power.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that section refers to the tutorial bot matches (note the bit that mentions they're already available in the live game).
No plans for a further bot-mode have been announced at this time.
Could you fellas possibly consider adding bots to custom games? It would be really nice to be able to play with and against bots, and maybe be able to play with bots against a friend, or vice versa.

That's not how it works. Blight will be the next complained about killer and BHVR will give him unnecessary nerfs like they always do. Nurse, Billy, Spirit were all nerfed due to survivors complaining. The whole community agreed on what changes were needed, and BHVR took it too far. Nurse got a blink timer and add-ons trashed, Billy got an overheat mechanic and add-ons trashed. The only changes people wanted for Spirit was a phasing indication and mother/daughter ring nerfed. Now she's getting a directional phase sound and visual queues when in phase, in addition to all the previous major nerfs she got last year, and moat likely her add-ons will be turned to trash.
I think the Nurse and Spirit nerfs were totally fair, Billy's nerf was bs though and most of the community agreed that Blight is one of the most balanced killers in the game, so if Blight gets nerfed then...
-
Spirit nerf yeah I'm happy about it. I don't care about Nurse but please, PLEASE don't destroy Blight. Just nerf Alchemist's Ring and call it a day.
-
I really wish they'd make both recovery add-ons base-kit before changing his add-ons. Who knows though, they might actually do that.

Question. Where can I find these listed changes people keep talking about?
Here you go: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/281832
Apologies for the late response, I'll just assume you already found it though.
edit: god i hate myself i accidentally posted the previous dev update
-
She'll still be a top tier killer in the right hands, just more balanced this time.
-
I'll probably try it out, the buff sounds very appealing.
-
My method of getting relaxing games (for killer) is to adjust my MMR by running obscure, underused, and weaker perks. While I try to win like usual, I'm more likely to lose, and my MMR begins to adjust and gives me games that usually end in 2ks.
