• Really don't see the argument against making what things do more clear, I shouldn't have to go to a wiki to see what the actual impact something has on the game.

• Both of those changes are horrible there's a reason why P-heads cages move and its because the normal counters to camping don't work on them

The killer's small fov is a deliberate design decision, as they are supposed to have a sort-of tunnel vision. It's also a balancing choice, allowing survivors to hide in their peripheral vision without getting seen.

We're all aware it was a specific decision to do this. They also made specific decisions on many stupid things in the game some that have since been changed some that haven't been changed just because something was deliberate does not mean that it should stay. FOV in its current state is idiotic and makes killer very uncomfortable for some people, physically uncomfortable for some how is that ok because "balance". The game already has a killer shortage and stupid things like this are why.

• i dont think i've ever switched to lightborn or frankilins sometimes I wish I had but never really do.

• For real the last change they implemented almost made him feel worse, I also hope that this change doesn't add more bugs to him

I'm glad that I and some others have been bitching enough about this for others to start taking notice.

I'm fine with the Wraith being able to cloak. I'm fine with the Wraith being able to move super fast while cloaked. All I ask is that when he decides to uncloak, I have a fair chance to get some distance, not just let him have a free hit every time. That was never happening to me before his update, now it happens on a consistent basis. It's too much.

I just posted this in another thread and am not trying to spam my channel (these vidoes are actually unlisted anyway) but I post this as an example. I'm in a room with one exit, a hole in the floor. There's a breakable door. The SECOND that I hear that door being hit, I bail. At the 11 second mark if you look SUPER CLOSE you can see just the Wraith's one foot uncloaking. In other words I jumped up and ran before the killer was even in the room, I was down the next floor before the Wraith even uncloaked, but he quickly ran over and was able to hit me anyway. What, in this scenario, did I do wrong? What could I have done differently to avoid the hit? In what way could I have defended myself against a free hit here?

Dude you ran away from 2 pallets that you couldve played, what do you mean lack of counter play.

"As your chainsaw overheats, the charge time for your chainsaw sprint deceases and your speed while sprinting increases, in proportion to how close your chainsaw is to overheating"

This seems like such a no-brainer buff to give Billy. The addition of his overheat was pointless and we all know it. Why was it not turned into a risk-reward mechanic where skilled Billy's can mange their overheat to land hits around loops and otherwise make skilful plays instead of the meaningless handicap it is now?

A lot of his weird, gimmicky add-ons could be changed to support this as well. One of his iridescents could be:

• Your chainsaw no longer overheats from use and instead heats up when injuring a survivor with either your chainsaw or a basic attack.
• For the duration your chainsaw cools down after overheating, you can still rev it and your chainsaw sprint gains massively increased steering and will continue even after destroying a breakable or downing a survivor.

Imagine Billy knocking down pallets, walls and survivors as if they were bowling pins. Sounds like a hell of a lot more fun to me than his chainsaw becoming silent.

That'd be neat but tbh I would vastly prefer them to either just remove it or make it so that when you hit someone with your chainsaw it resets it overheat, would reward skillful play and punish mistakes, crazy concept.

Just play the game. Grind. I dont see a problem with the number of events. Go on a killer and farm some easy bloodpoints and spend them on your survivors.

Stay at lvl 50 for a while on a character.

I think that special events take a lot of work that take devs away from new maps and overhauls etc.

For each event the devs probably have to come out with new cosmetics, gen skins, addons and offerings and alter the blood web.

How much work would it take to flip the switch on a BP modifier, and its not as easy to just go farm the blood points forehead. I've had friends who quit the game with the grind being the main reason why they quit and its easily one of the things I find the most annoying about this game.

I think every weekend is a bit much. I could see like first weekend of every month or something like that.

Why is it too much, what would be the downsides of it happening every weekend?

• Would love a double blood point weekend every weekend but honestly I'd settle for one a month. Meanwhile we haven't had one since OCTOBER OF 2019!!! over 2 years since the last blood hunt. Absolutely ridiculous especially since I've had friends who quite the game due to the grind of getting the perks they wanted.

• @Relix said:

I never understood that. Why should a perk like surge have a cooldown? Whats the point of it? Pop, for exemple has no cooldown and much bigger instant regression on a generator.

I dont really get that. What do you think about? (No mad survivors main ty)

Pop requires a hook something that would need you to take the time to pickup, hook the survivor, then walk to the gen and spend the time kicking it. Surge you just need to be within 32 meters of a gen when you down a survivor with a basic attack it then hits any gen within range with an 8% hit to its progress and starts to regress automatically, unless of course someone was on it at the time.

Don't get me wrong I still think pop is better in 80% of scenarios but its ability to hit multiple generators within an area and require no interactions from the killer and its relatively easy activation requirements means that if it didn't have a cooldown it'd be kind of busted.

Though I would say that either its range should be increased or its restriction of needing the down to be done by a basic M1 should be removed. 1 or the other I think would be a nice buff to it, not both though.

I am glad you are not a camp n' tunnel player by your admission. And I do not consider a pip a win, I consider BP the win/loss factor because that is the games currency. Rank does not mean much in terms of skill but does tend to become sweatier the lower ya go. You asked, "How is a survivors mistake my fault as killer?" But that is not the point or argument in this discussion. A survivor hanging on a hook and a killer running in to down them before their feet hit the ground in an offhook situation is not the survivor's fault, or them "making a mistake". That choice to tunnel that survivor rest solely with the killer. So OP is just spit balling ideas do decrease killers who forgo learning to play skillfully for the cheap trifecta of Camp, Tunnel and Slug. I don't know that I agree with his specific work arounds but have seen tons of good ideas float through this forum over the years, all promptly ignored by BHVR.

I'm not talking about a survivor being tunneled as a mistake I'm talking about if someone gets hooked and they try and kobe fail and then boom they lost a health state and the next time I catch them theyre dead or worse yet their team never goes to rescue even though I wasn't camping they just weren't paying attention or they just wanted to finish the gen or heal their buddy or whatever reason. Survivors also wont get many points if they get hit quickly and go down in all their chases.

Those are the kind of situations were survivors not getting many blood points because of constant mistakes are what im talking about not some poor fella who got basement camped y a bubba.

• On blight I wouldnt even try for 2 main reasons

1. You'll never be able to get past a certain level with him as high level blight gameplay involves a lot of quick flicks of up to 180 degrees which you just cant do on console as efficiently
2. He's buggy as ######### so that will just add on to the uphill battle that is enjoying him on console.

For Death slinger it will just take practice and patience.

• No and neither does BHVR.

• Mostly baseless claims, I saw one person say that because they think they heard megs scream in RE8's Dimitrescu castle in the background.

• all my friends quite and I hate solo queue

I don't think giving bonus BP to first games would help too much because you still need to learn things so really early on you won't be getting much in the way of base BP to apply a bonus to. Now if the bonus applied to the first 50 games after you reach say, Rank 15, then that should be good.

But really I agree with @gilgamer in that Perk Tiers are just, really, really, really out dated. There is no reason you'd ever want to use a lower Tier Perk and they are really only there to bloat the Bloodweb. When people talk about Perks they only ever talk about the T3 version of it, because any other version is near useless.

Really the Bloodweb itself is just kind of out dated as well. It's not really all that fun and only there to waste people's time. I'd rather be playing the game with the characters I want to play instead of not being able to run Jake because he doesn't have Balanced Landing for the challenge I'm working on and so on.

The bloodweb is a very wonky and confusing way to deal with upgrades and level ups

Although killers should get a built in, far weaker pop. Gen kicking is insanely weak base

I do agree but thats not really the point though. kicking without perks is pretty much useless.

I body 99% of teams and can do so with almost any killer. I am a Nurse main and I can tell you that there many games that make me glad I picked her. There are too many situations in the game that are unwinnable for the majority of killers. Wraith is one of them.

You even said so yourself thats a problem for most killers and unwinnable situations can arise purely from RNG its sucks but thats the game, Wraith is a far cry from where he was and I would pick him over most killers in the game

• just revert any change they made outside of add-ons and terror radius and ill go back to playing billy

• Unfortunately its they are really dragging their heels on the key fix cause....reasons

• personally I think the best way to help the grind is to take away perk tiers. I also hate the grind and i have friends who stopped playing because of it, really sucks.

• bro I had to look this perk up and I know almost every perk in the game except the absolute lowest of the low use rate perks and this is one of them, i've never seen this perk used or used it myself.

• Except for the fact that only time most people bring those offerings is in tandem with a key so no they aren't. Its like the devs forgot keys exist when they put those offerings in the game.

There would be almost no noticeable effect on stealth gameplay. The chances of the FOV mattering are incredibly small. If I saw a survivor in the corner of my screen with shadowborn, chances are I'll have spotted that survivor without it. The only thing I could see the extra FOV be noticeably good against is window teching because you can see the survivor underneath you, but you could already counter window techs by paying attention and looking behind you.

Window teching is kind of dead these days anyways since you cant phase through killers model during the vault animation anymore

How is a map unbalanced for both sides?

It can either favor one side or be balanced.

No, really. I would like to know

Basically comes down to RNG on which side it swings so everyone ends up hating the map

• Corrupt while it doesn't necessarily take skill to use it does take skill to actually capitalize off of it gives you an easier early game to set up your pressure for the mid to late game but you still have to win your chases normally without the gimmick of everyone being one shot to an m1.

• we've figured out he's about as bad as we thought he was, no twins one trick pony style of play that works for him he's just bad.

• I feel like this is just a straw man argument I'd have to see screenshots to believe someone unironically tried to make the argument that running is toxic.

• I don't really see anything wrong here you had decided you weren't going to give her hatch, which she isnt entitled too, so you took the correct option to kill her.

Just went back to trying to play my girl after a while of not playing her because of how buggy she was.

(Apparently you still can't get survivors sick for some reason during some instances)

After playing a couple of matches with her, I got to wondering what kind of buffs she could get.

For me, I feel that her Corrupt Purge should do more. It is afterall her deadliest ability. An idea I had was that since her Vile Purge contaminates gens, her CP could damage gens in a similar fashion to how Pop does, but on a smaller scale. The reason why I think this would somewhat help her is because she already has to go (sometimes to the opposite side of the map) and consume it.

Another idea I had was that she could consume her CP from a distance, similar to how Oni picks up his blood orbs but maybe from a bit of a greater distance.

These were just some thoughts that pop into my head while playing her. Adiris is such an interesting character to me, and I really would love to see her get some attention at some point.

What do you avid Plague players think?

Honestly, none. But if I were to change anything make her vomit a little more clear on what its actually hitting. I know how her powers hitboxes work but it should be better represented with the animation. I'm kind of sick of seeing survivors recoil like they were and take nothing which was probably a lag thing but even so I've definitely sprayed a stream and the person got lucky and all the hitboxes missed.

• if survivors get BT for free then i want pop for free. Is pop for free a horrible idea likely to kill the game? absolutely. Giving survivors BT for free would be equally detrimental to the game

• I almost always only use 1 sometimes no slowdown perks and I probably win the majority of my games maybe 60/40 or 70/30 idk I dont keep track. I also take into account that a lot of my games have people far lower ranked then me and the rest of the lobby so its not like they were very fair matches anyways.

Yea man, killing a green and purple rank survivor definitely proves wraith is viable...... If you know the game, you know that m1 killers like wraith have no chance against a good team. Any killer in the game can smash a team with weak links (except maybe trickster...lol)

only 2 arguably 3-4 depending on the map and rng actually stand a chance against a good team that all now what they're doing, and they are RARE very rare, trust me bud the teams that body you aren't some insane team half the time they probably aren't even swf.

• I've played the game for over 800 hours majorly as killer and this has never happened to me, some have probably tried but I've never not been able to find them eventually so I cant say its that big of an issue.

• The majority of the playerbase doesnt like in door maps, at least from what i've seen. Personally midwich is one of my least favorite maps. It's insanely boring its the W key map with almost no ways to cut survivors off so you just have to run in a straight line which really emphasizes how actually small the difference between 4.0 and 4.6 is.

The other main issue and its an issue that pretty much all indoor maps have and its just the lack of an ability to capitalize on a lot of the information that you get from perks or other things. BBQ mostly useless, Whispers almost completely useless, Infectious rarely will you get value out of it, most perks that has to do with distance isnt gonna be very useless.

• Sabotage I guess though I'm more of a info perk killer as I like always knowing where everyone is so I can constantly stay in chase and capitalize on people being out of position as much as possible.

• used to be wraith but now he's good or at least better. Now idk I find it hard to enjoy a killer that's blatantly bad. I think the only reason I liked wraith before he got buffs was because he was the first killer I ever played and I like mobility killers and with windstorm he definitely checked that box so he's the only stealth killer I like.

Other then that though I find pretty much all the current bad killers pretty boring, and I think the reason for that is because a lot of the lower tier killers are bad because of their limited capabilities with their power or are only good at 1 thing and usually the 1 thing they are good at get beaten out by better killers in that 1 thing.

• Yeah if you're only using 1 chainsaw charges then I can see why someone would have some trouble with him

in Closed Comment by gilgamer
• It's kinda sad that one of the most iconic killers in cinema is kind of a joke against any team that knows what they're doing. He definitely needs at least a slight rework to add some more depth and a higher skill ceiling to his power.

• There's really only a couple that are a little over tuned a lot of killers have fairly useless purple and red add-ons that can be kind of fun sometimes

• I'll be honest the game has had either bad or lack luster updates since blight released and this one isnt really any different for me

• The DS nerf shouldn't effect the basement play almost at all, plus the basement is supposed to be a powerful yet situational tool, if you get 2 or 3 people hooked down there its not meant to be easy to get out of.

• I've gone against a few times now, only on farm maps though and I can say I've already lost chases because of it. The one I can remember is I hit a Feng on the inside of rancid abattoirs main building she damage boosted to the window that leads to the pallet and by the time I walked around to the door, she was gone didn't see any crows fly up obviously no scratch marks or blood, might've had lithe, too but either way didnt see her at all so after a few seconds had to just give up.

I have three friends that I team up with, and we played 10 games. I did an experiment, and each game, I waited until the end to look at the killers perks. Not even joking, 9 out of the 10 games, the killer used BBQ and Chilli. One of us had the Distortion perk. 7/10 games all 4 of us died. The last survivor of those games would usually be looking for the hatch, but would never make it because thanks to BBQ, the killer always knew exactly where they were.

This perk needs nerfing, or removing from the game. It makes the match feel super one sided. 2 of us are very high levels, but my other 2 friends are still learning. They died Every. Single. Game. I'm fine with aura reading perks, but BBQ is insane. Gives survivors no chance to hide, even almost a cross the map. Out of the 10 games 4 of them, the killer has BBQ as well as A Nurses Calling. So I'm pretty sure you can imagine how that went. Not fun.

BBQ has by far the highest pick rate of any other perk in the game and there is a reason for that but its not because its OP. The reason is pretty simple, blood points. That's it that's my argument.

1 … 32 33 34 35 36 … 40
