Would love this but it will probably never happen, Ill just have to stick to watching my games through a streamer
-
I know some do they stream it, but for the most part i'd say at a low level and not often if ever.
-
It depends on when they dc, if they dc because they were the first to down i'll just 3 hook everyone but not farm, if they do it after they've already downed hooked rescued and was able to do something but then got downed again and just dc'd ill play the rest of the match normally
-
Better then all kill but that's a pretty easy bar to clear. Don't really care for Nem, I gave him a solid chance played him for over 20ish games and in his current state I just don't like him. The perks introduced are pretty okay for the most part, none are really meta defining but I'm okay with that.
Now then onto why I actually think its a negative gain as a whole, performance has been terrible people have been getting kicked from games randomly, game is apparently near unplayable for some on older consoles.
Not too mention, many new bugs to enjoy WAHOO, Blights power is even more bugged now, clowns bottles aren't working properly either, weird pallet bugs too(not very impactful just weird) and more.
The new map hasn't even released yet and its been almost a week since the chapter came out and that's a good thing because it looks like its gonna quickly become one of my least favorite maps to play on for most of my killers.
Call me a nitpicker or a complainer but the chapter was highly disappointing to me and I really wanted to like it.
-
The grind is awful currently and needs to be dealt with soon cause its hitting a size that some new players are just quitting for that alone, how do I know this because friends of mine who I tried to introduce quit the game for that exact reason, also bugs but that's a different discussion.
-
honestly sure I'd mostly prefer to just get rid of perk tiers all together but if BHVR is more okay with this then so be it.
-
That's kinda sad then
-
I'd rather quit the game tbh
-
The counter is that the killer is legion and he sucks. Pretty arguable that he's the weakest killer in the game right now and has been for a little while.
-
Really the only buff I want to see is just make it so that an infection hit doesn't give a speed burst do that see where he's at then we can talk about wider buffs to his kit or maybe nerfs in some areas who knows

Since tunneling and camping are an issue reduce the survivor count per match by 1. 5 gens 3 people equals more time. Killers don't have to camp or tunnel and everyone has wiggle room. This is the only solution I have.
Im not gonna lie this may be the least thought out "counter" to tunneling and camping i've ever seen on these forums and that's some high praise my friend
-
Something being boring is subjective even if the majority of the playerbase agrees with you some still find him fun to play against and a lot of people find him fun to play as. Also ill put this here knowing this is just salty bait but people have put a lot of time BP and money into their death slingers so outright removing him is just straight up out of the realm of possibility.

I want to know what people classify as a win as both a killer and survivors as many have difference ideas to what classifies as a win.
I personally feel like as a killer 1k is a loss, 2k is a draw and 3k to 4k is a win.
And as a survivor 1 escaping is a loss, two escaping is a draw and three or four of us escaping is a win.
As killer if I got a 3k or more its a win for me, if I get a 2k its a draw and obviously 1k or less is a loss. For survivor it works mostly the same but I add that if I survive then that's a win for me but if I'm the only one to survive then its still a loss for my team. A key escape I just consider to be a waste of time and don't consider it a win or a loss on either sides.
-
I for the most part disagree on every point, I find him to be mid tier and aggravating to play as and against but I've yet to see an actually good one nor see his zombies really make any impact outside of indoor maps not too mention how buggy his zombies AI is in the 20ish matches I played him zombies would bug out pretty much every game and sometimes multiple times in the same game and as many other people have pointed out even Otz made a twitter post about it but his infection strike should not give a speed burst its dumb and it feels dumb.

I'm guessing you people dont understand. Spirit currently hears at 100% so making it 50% that isn't affected by either perk isn't a buff? That's a straight out nerf, it also means survivors dont need iron will to try counter spirit. She will naturally be harder to hear survivors. Just removes the silly iron will and stridor debates.
Except for the part where stridor isn't used outside of spirit where as iron will is used all the time and it basically nullifies it's use when it actually matters and 50% is still very manageable and this frees up the perk slot to never have to use stridor, this is definitely a buff to anyone who's actually good at spirit

Okay thank you, so they aren't really saying that its not possible but that it wouldn't be fair to the people who've already achieved it, cause anybody actually cares.
-
That sounds like more of a buff for spirit though, she no longer ever has to run stridor and wont ever be countered by iron will if she decides not to bring it. Lets be clear stridor counters Iron will more then Iron will counters stridor
-
I'd say adjacent instead of just better personally I hate kicking gens and the time you save from it probably puts it on around the same level, eruption does work well with pop though where as surge works well with ruin. Up to you which you wanna use or neither.
-
In his current state, unless you find him super fun, I'd say no.
-
he's fine, he can eat through pallets but he gets particularly screwed by windows same as billy

Out of 10 killer matches, 9~10 killers carry BBQ.
Out of 10 survivor matches, 1~2 survivors carry WGLF.
Why is that? I thought both of them give bonus BP? Why's BBQ > WGLF?
You get BBQ stacks for just doing your objective where as WGLF you have to go out of your way to get all your stacks consistently. Honestly they should add finishing a gen or doing a totem as a stack requirement for WGLF. Also the aura effect on BBQ is far better then the slug healing bonus from WGLF.
-
I've seen so much disparity between where people place Nem its insane, personally I find him to be somewhere in B tier but I also think he's horribly unfun to play as and against.

This combo is beyond broken and is a free win for killers such as Blight. Why is such an absolutely busted and overpowered combo not nerfed yet? Boosts a bad killer into a good killer and a good killer into a god killer. Survivors have zero chance to beat it and there is certainly no fun having no chance with an aggressive Killer, Overpowered Perks, and Killer-sided Maps. I've played against enough of it and it is totally BS. I've played with good survivors and everyone is oppressed into nothing. 3+ gens are always still untouched at the end of every trial.
It is particularly disturbing when there is an actual survivor achievement where you have to play with no perks and is expected to exit the gates with such a combo that is spammed constantly.
Does anyone at BHVR realize you can't escape with perks against it much less without?
Rework Tinkerer and nerf Ruin so these perks don't literally "give" the game to the killer.
And how pray tell would you nerf this combo without making either of these perks worse individually, cause ruin is good but has a tendency to be deleted from the game within a minute and tinkerer on its own isn't exactly top tier.

The problem here is Sony though, as they dont allow achievement or trophy requirements to be changed as long as they are still able to be completed.
so the only way to change adept killers is to change how to get a ruthless killer result, which is currently tied to 2 pips.. maybe after MMR is being used for matchmaking they will make adjustments to the pipping system as well..
I've seen a lot of people say this I've even said it before but is it actually true i've googled it before and could never find anything

Oh, there are avenues to still send your salt on console. Xbox and Playstation allows you to send messages to anyone you're connected with, as long your privacy settings allows it.
Im aware xbox and playstations has ways to private message people you've played with but the vast majority of games dont bother with adding a text chat on the console version but some do so its not because consoles are more protective of their player base after all im sure people remember voice chats back in the cod days which were way worse then any text chat i've ever read in my entire history of playing video games.

Many console games do have chat functions though, and you can use usb keyboards on them. Especially if you play an MMO like FFXIV as well.
yeah some do but not very many of them do and I'd also be willing to go out on a limb and say most people don't have a keyboard hooked up to their console

Obviously you lack the knowledge and experience of this game. You are most likely rank 15 or something because none of what you said makes sense. Nemesis is extremely strong right now. Like... legit. C tier? more like ######### A tier. Hes literally broken asf. Hes like bubba when it comes to unhooking someone. Oh whats that? everyones down because bubba can literally chew through BT and then down others at the same time. Nice balance.
you know you dont seem that friendly

Before June 15, 2021
Everyone: "Keys need to be nerfed, devs. They're too powerful and running a single perk to counter them isn't efficient or valuable enough."
Developers: "Okay, we hear you."
Also Everyone: "The game's performance is also somewhat of an issue, and we hope you fix it sometime later."
Developers: "Okay."
June 15, 2021
Developers: "We nerfed Franklin's Demise to no longer remove items from the Trial once the timer is up because we couldn't hard code the vaccine to not despawn and forgot to do some quality control for our latest patch, so now the R.P.D. crashes the game at times, there's performance issues and FPS drops abound!"
Everyone: "What is wrong with you?"
Let's Be Real, This is an Open Letter to the Developers
Developers, BHVR. This is an open letter to you in regards to the current state of the game. 5.0.0 was meant to be a monumental patch with the release of a brand new Killer from a legendary franchise in horror, and was meant to be something everyone can enjoy.
But this patch also highlights the issues that your team are putting yourselves in for absolutely no reason. I understand bugs and glitches can happen from time to time, but that's why you had the PTB and you have your team to test these things out before releasing the full product; it's called "quality control", and if things like this, especially game-breaking or game-impacting bugs such as the performance issues (one I personally witnessed was the difficulty to turn my Killer), slip by, then you didn't do a good enough job to make sure it didn't happen in the first place.
And then there's the nerf to Franklin's Demise, all because of one little item that is practically inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Instead of choosing to take the time to properly hard code it so that Franklin's Demise doesn't affect the new craftable items, especially the vaccine, your train of thought was to simply nerf it so hard that now you've created a greater issue: Keys having zero counters.
You deliberately do not listen to the fanbase in regards to what needs to be done; this includes both lower and higher ranking players, many of whom don't even want to run Keys because they're just too unfun to play against, and you don't give these patches a proper test before launching them to see if things are just right in the end or if things need to be, you know...DELAYED?
There's a complete and utter disconnect that you guys have with the community that is utterly appalling. You make changes no one asks for, you don't make changes people ask for, you don't really communicate to your own community about what changes you want to do until you release a PTB or a patch, and you put in an incomplete version of an update from time and time again.
Honestly, I don't care about your Realm Beyond stuff, I don't care about Boon Totems, I don't care about the "additions" you guys are making. I don't want a game with better "graphical fidelity". I want a game where things just work right and the balance can at least be discussed between the developers (you) and the players (us).
We aren't warned of balance changes ahead of time, we aren't given much in terms of what to expect until the day of release, and there's still prominent bugs or issues with this game that permeate to this day, and are just created update after update.
This game needs not a graphical update, nor new content or features, it needs to have things fixed and stabilized first. I could go however long without a Wraith graphical update or an update to a map, so long as some of the already-existing features of the game can be looked at first, fixed or rebalanced, and the quality of the gameplay is better. And I think every other player can agree that the feel of the gameplay should come first and the additional content and graphical updates should always be second.
BHVR, communicate with your community. You don't need to talk about the next Chapter or anything, but please tell us your ideas for rebalancing the game, for fixing the problems that still linger around, let the community help make this game better in some capacity and listen to what we've been trying to tell you. I understand that the process of developing something is probably extremely strenuous and arduous, especially with people hounding you guys about "balance this or balance that", but at least understand from our point of view, some things need to be talked about and discussed with the community. If something is commonly agreed upon to be bad for the health of the game, talk with your players and fans, your streamers, your top players and low ranking players. See how we feel about the game.
You can do better than this.
I'll end it off with one simple question, one that I'm hoping one of you guys can answer: Will you start communicating with your community in more detail about future updates so that we can actually properly talk about it, or will you remain to be vague and never give us any information until you release it in a patch or PTB?
Or in short: Will you speak with and listen to your players, or will you not?
Your call.
I completely agree with the vast majority of what you've said and I just hope it isn't ignored so I'm putting this comment down in hopes to boost the popularity of the post

He shouldn’t have collision when cloaked. This would make for much more interesting gameplay than the boring block window or pallet then lunge and hit rinse and repeat.
that would also be an absolutely massive nerf to him. Body blocking is a fairly essential tool for him to use to make up for his long uncloaking phase by limiting options the survivor has.

When was Wraith a fair and fun killer? 2016 or at some point after that?
Obviously fun is subjective but balance wise he's currently the most balanced he's ever been with maybe 1 or 2 addons needing slight nerfs or reworks

Im pretty sure the reason why most games on console dont have a chat is because its not exactly easy to type on it, where as on pc we have a keyboard.
-
Hey could you stop licking their boots couldn't hear you down there, real talk though DBD has more bugs then any other popular multiplayer game that it's an insult to compare anything else to it, it's almost impressive tbh.
-
Fine, for the most part, I do feel bad for anybody that has light sensitivity since you dont have any time to shield your eyes from it. I also find it kind of annoying you cant kick the gen while you are blinded, but that's just a nitpick.
-
Games too unstable for the dc penalty to be a healthy part of the game, though I'll admit I never thought it was a healthy addition but with current state of the game since the chapter came out and its buggy as all hell it makes since to turn it off
-
For me probably billy only gone against maybe 2 since his nerf and the most popular is probably huntress

yeah just make it so people never wanna learn more then 1 or 2 killers that'll be real fun

No i'd say he's a weaker PH not sure exactly where he is on my Tier list or the overall community's tier list but i'd say somewhere in the high B tier to bottom of A tier

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/258715/this-patch-has-made-killer-unfun
Well the issue I think most killers will run into is they aren’t used to developing skill. You get 4K games at rank 18 and it never ends. Survivors have a much harder grind which is why they’re so good at red ranks. Killers need a higher skill curve to learn to compete. Plus if your definition of fun is a 4K match, that just means you’re the only one having fun. That’s an issue in itself.
######### does that have to do with the game being horribly optimized? Did you even read the actual message or just the header before making this comment.
-
I dont really blame survivors for bringing the same perks over and over again the meta hasnt really changed for them for quite awhile now, they havent gotten anything new really as far gameplay implications in who knows how long all they've gotten is few perks here and there that are usually not even worth using. Killer at least has variety in gameplay from killer to killer but its not like any survivor plays differently then any other survivor.
-
People gave me ######### on reddit for saying "I wonder how bhvr will mess it up" when they announced the RE chapter but even I didn't think they'd mess it up this badly.

Why make it easier for those who want to abuse the lack of DC penalty?
If you wanted to play the round, you wouldn't do so while you know the game is crashing. That doesn't make sense, because the crashes keep you from playing the round.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2282187#Comment_2282187
So the game has a 1/3 chance of crashing for you, with ever-increasing penalties, and you still try to play it? Why?
I think its pretty fair to want to play the product they spent money on, especially after a new chapter came out and who wouldn't want to play the DLC they just paid for. I don't know if they did buy the dlc but that's not really the point. If a game is having a problem that's crashing because of a thing the devs did why should the players be punished for it, they are already getting dc'd from a game that might have been going well and they were having fun, sure it sucks for the people still in the game but its not the person who's game crashed unexpectantly because bhvr cant make a stable game.
Its also not like they know with 100% certainty it will continue to crash, they didn't specify a specific scenario that caused a crash nor does it seem to be a problem on their end so again why should they be punished for wanting to play the game
-
jeez, just confirmed this. How do they do it

Honestly I don't think it'll get that much more competitive. A decent chunk of the community probably won't care about it if they can't see it. If it is visible, it'll be 1000% worse if players can see it. However I honestly cannot se bhvr splitting the playerbase like that.
I honestly think that if they put in an mmr without having separate queues this game will die or become significantly worse.
-
@FFirebrandd said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2277182#Comment_2277182
I'd much rather take a gamble on Bhvr making a solid invisible MMR system over gambling on the player base not finding ways to exploit a visible MMR system. The first of those may or may not happen. The second 100% going to happen and the results will suck.
Besides... Dead By Daylight is not and has never been a competitive game. All a visible MMR system will do is encourage people to sweat for those sweet sweet number increases.
People are going to get more competitive anyways and MMR will do that I guarantee it, honestly the way I think it should be done if they implement it at all, I'd rather it only be used in a separate queue system
