Hi, I’m a Legion one trick and have a solid amount of time into the killer. I was red ranks consistently before leaving the game for about a year to take a break and grind Overwatch for a while. I got a considerable amount of hate messages almost every other game for playing Legion back when I played. I thought it was just because I was in red ranks and players can be that way. After a 1 year+ break I returned to find myself in rank 20 after resets. And have spent the past 3 days getting myself back up and I’ve been grinding and I’m at rank 6 and hoping to hit Red ranks this weekend now. And ALMOST every game through all ranks Ive gotten some hate message for playing Legion.. why?? Why do people hate this mediocre killer so much? I legit don’t get it. Is the killer just secretly overtuned and I’m just blind to it? I read patches and the killer hasnt appeared to have any super substantial ground breaking changes since I left. It’s seems the hate for the killer is still as rampant as ever one year later since I’ve returned.
Mending and being left alone is boring gameplay from the survivors side. From their pov they just get run down by a killer that ignores vaulting, the most powerful tool survivors have, and just hits them practically for free and then they have to just sit there and mend for like 15 seconds or whatever it is and the killer just leaves to go do the same for someone else.
-
As a stop gap sure why not, however it doesn't really fix the actual issue its helping to remedy.
-
Very rare, like a unicorn. I admittedly I don't play survivor that much lately other then to do tome challenges but since this tome started I haven't seen a single one, I've even run into more twins. I might just be unlucky though
-
Legit don't know how people get into this game in its current state if I started playing right now I'd be to overwhelmed and I just quit, the only way I see how is veteran players introducing and guiding new players but if your friend is introducing you to this game as it is they aunt a friend abandon them, that's a toxic relationship you don't need in your life.
-
oppresion is aight, coup is a meme, and her last perk hoarder I think is straight up garbage since its original intention had to be scraped after they tried it and it just didn't work so its half the perk it used to be and the original wasn't even that good either so its half an alright perk.
-
Well that shits just adorable
-
I don't know what they changed between this run and the last(since they're more vague then the church's vision of god) but it seems worse to me, I would love to know what data they're even using to calculate skill, I know its not just escapes or sacrifices but we don't even know if those do play a role in this mmr. I would assume it would but we just straight up don't know, I know the reasoning is supposed to be so that people don't game the system to get higher or lower mmr but it makes for an incredibly frustrating situation.
-
Im just using it as a good time to get adepts since I almost always get put with people far worse then me like on average over 10 ranks below me and a 10th of my playtime
-
Blights is without a doubt his collision, dudes collision is absolutely awful
-
You know what ######### it I dont care anymore no one seems to understand what I mean and I dont care to explain anymore about a concept for a change that isnt mine and is basically a middle ground that I found would just be better then its current state. I just want them gone in general and its never gonna happen.
-
His collison is awful to say the least and its not even consistent which is the most infuriating part. There are certain objects that always have inconsistent hitboxes like trees and cars but then sometimes you will randomly slide off of a wall or building for no other reason then the entity decided to end the chase and waste my time.
-
God please no, there is a reason I never give blendettes hatch, and its cause immersed survivors are the absolute most boring experience in the entire game bar non. I'd rather get gen rushed with bnps and and 4 man key escaped at 4 minutes then change the meta into a hide and seek one.
-
Blight when he's working properly which is like 50/50

It's my understanding that you can safely crouch through Hag's trap and Pyramid's Rites of Judgement trail, but not Demogorgon's portal; it can only be sealed after activation.
But im not 100% sure on this.
Would like some clarification. thanks.
yeah thats correct once it's activated it will give the demo killer instinct of anybody within range of the portal and the only way to stop that is to seal it
-
I literally just want a way to communicate to other people on my team the current 2 animations you can do in the game are practically useless and designated primarily to memeing and animation cancelling at the exit gates so you dont accidently get flung away from the exit as your sitting there t-bagging the killer
-
I will agree its way to easy for survivors to pip and leads to situations where people have to go against killers that are at a higher skill level.

I fall victim to 9 out of 10 or 10 out of 10 matches. Red rank killers are invincible.
Man as a red rank killer it certainly doesnt feel like that.
-
cause aiming basically he has to land 16 knives on a person to down them and to do that in a relatively short amount of time is relatively hard compared to most killers.
-
In its current state 100%
-
Like high B with the potential of maybe being bottom of A if his zombies perform well.
-
Pretty much only against a very high level team in most other scenarios a match of equal skill is most likely to go to the spirit.

Yeah. I don’t think it’s a good idea to let survivors build walls. The abuse would be crazy.
I dont see how making them build up the current walls we have in the game would be any more abusable then they currently are. Tbh I'd rather they be completely removed from the game entirely but I HIGHLY doubt that bhvr would budge on it since they've already but in so much work.

I was just bringing it up because of your statement ‚I'll think about that the next time I decide I hate myself and use ruin so that a survivor can spawn on it across the map thanks. Its just balanced that way‘
which.. just is the way it is. It IS balanced this way intentionally. Just like camping. Which many complain about but it won’t get fixed. There are perks and mechanics against it introduced (for hey protection as well as camping) . I didn’t want to compare them directly but some of the aspects.
you do have a chance to defend your totem. It may be harder for certain spots, sure. But that’s part of the high risk in ‚high risk/high reward‘
and they have improved totems for killer greatly with some of the spots and the visual update. And it can’t ever be perfect due to RNG and survs memorizing the spots.
no it wont ever be perfect but I'd say that spawns like the one above are in no way okay and should be removed and there are absolutely times where I've run a totem perk and ran straight to it and before I got there it was gone, does it happen often? no but the possibility of it happening and the frequency of terrible spawns completely turned me off to the idea of using them.
I didn't even use totem perks while undying was at its strongest because of my absolute disdain for them and better spawns probably still wouldn't make me use them again anyways. So my whole argument isn't even based on how a buff would affect me and again a playstyle vs. RNG is a massive stretch to me. Also camping isn't balanced in fact its very weak even without any perks to improve it. Problem is that solo queue is even weaker then that and I honestly do think solo queue needs a lot of help, the disparity between how a swf operates and a full team of solo queue is night and day on average.
-
Literally just hard mode, its massive downsides are in now way made up by its meh buffs. They could take away the ability to get yourself up and remove the broken status effect and I'd say its a pretty good perk but not even top tier.
-
it depends, what is she going against? a tournament squad? then yeah she's perfectly fine. Is she going against a team of random solo queues? then absolutely not she is way over tuned in both addons and base kit. Should she be balanced around that tournament squad or the team of randos? I don't know probably somewhere in the middle or maybe towards the higher end? again I don't know but that's the way I see it.

there are also many people -also among them people who use Hex perks- that are okay with the current totem spawns. It is well known and intended that totems can and will be destroyed early on.
So why should anyone listen to YOUR feedback on this? I just wanted to see if you at least look at problems on both sides but apparently, only your problems matter to you. That was my reach. I didn’t want to bring those two topics on the same level or compare them directly.
If you didn't want to bring those topics to the same level then why bring it up at all. I know there are several problems with the game for survivors, namely how weak solo queue is as well as queue times and randomly spawned dead zones. All those are important issues that should be addressed but because I don't think a bubba camping his little heart away I'm somehow some sociopath that cant see problems from others perspective?
Also I never even brought up the topic of whether someone should ever listen to me or anyone else people are free to listen to whoever they please, all I'm saying is that camping and totem spawns are vastly different issues. Camping is unfun I know which is why I don't do it, did you miss that part, did you think I said that purely because I don't like doing it? I know being camped is boring and frustrating i've played survivor before and as such I play pretty fairly but I also dont think its my place to tell another killer main how to play. Is that not reasonable?
And im sure many people are fine with totem spawns the way they are but i'd also argue there are far more people who hate them but think ruin is worth the variable nature of it, but even if totem spawns were made better that wouldn't change that either, it would still be possible to lose a totem perk before you got any value out of it even with better spawns I just want them to have a chance to at least be defended.
-
If they didnt add 30 million more pallets I would've actually like the change but here we are.
-
It's not even close to me
-
Visually they mostly look way better, gameplay wise I absolutely despise almost every single change they've made
-
I'd say trapper currently due to his absolute dependency on trapper bags and with every realm beyond and new map that is released his traps lose more and more good spots.
-
Hasnt been since my first like 10 hours

then please also don’t expect others to think about your problems.
But others also hate totem spawns so i'd say that playstyles shouldnt be related to inherent things in the game, trying to compare camping to totem spawns is such a massive reach it sounds like your trying to give stretch armstrong a run for his money

Her power needs some slight tweaking and her addons desperately need a pass

I personally think that the post is true, survivor mechanics are outdated and need qol changes. Killers dominate the game and it hurt seeing people being this blind.
thanks for making my point

Yes, it is, because otherwise survivors could build up breakable walls in any doorway. Create godloops that you actively need to keep breaking down. By the time that survivor goes from 1 god window back to the other, the wall would have been rebuild, having 2 teammates keep building up the walls while 1 takes you for an infinite loop, with 1 person doing gens.
Having the walls spawn in and be permanently gone for the rest of the game is the much better approach. Doesnt mean all breakable walls are equally spread though. There is a reason why bigger maps have less walls and why smaller maps have more.
Im not saying they should change where they are placed im saying that with the current spawns that they have, the survivors should be the ones that have to dedicate time to them to get use out of them not give survivors the ability to put breakable walls in any doorway on the map.

Okay.
also think about a survivor that gets facecamped because a leatherface got lucky and found/downed a Surv a few seconds into the game out in a deadzone because of spawns.
you can still play the match with Ruin gone. That survivor has to suck it up.
I wont cause I never do such things.

That’s part of the risk/reward system.
no one forces you to use those perks. There is enough variety in perks that might better suit your playstyle then.
btw there are many non-Hex perks on both sides that may turn out to become useless in a match depending on RNG, killer/survivor playstyles and builds etc.
Hex perks are not meant to be super hidden and stay super long in every match.
I'll think about that the next time I decide I hate myself and use ruin so that a survivor can spawn on it across the map thanks. Its just balanced that way
-
depends on the killer, any m1 heavy killer it would be fine on but killers that can use alternate attacks to down wouldn't get much use out of surge and I'd switch it out for something better for the whatever killer you decide to use. Ruin is also a weighted coin flip that's not in your odds, especially if you run it by itself so if your positive you want to run it I'd suggest running undying with it.
I'd also argue that tinkerer pairs better with ruin the surveillance especially since it glows yellow now once the gen regresses down to 0% for some reason, unsure if its a bug or not, but it will trip you up sometimes needlessly so I'd stick away from surveillance in general for now

Counter argument: those totems on Yamaoka estate that are literally invisible until you stand next to them and get the prompt to cleanse.
high risk high reward. It’s not like you were ever promised to get an invisible or unreachable totem spot.
Yeah that's a pretty bad argument not gonna lie, half the spawns on Yamaoka are bad too. For me totems perks are near useless to me with how bad spawns are. Sure there are a few maps that have mostly decent spawns, indoor maps have okay ones usually, but since its an indoor map I'd rather pull my hair out then play those maps anyways, but most hex perks aren't even strong enough to warrant such a high risk, its really only devour and ruin every other hex perk just isn't worth using unless its to defend ruin or devour.
Not to mention how many totem tracking perks and items there are in the game I really don't feel like a totem spawn like the one pictured above or any totem spawn within line of sight of a gen or in the open is ever acceptable under any situation.
-
Imo its fine as is and pretty strong on some killers especially when paired with agitation.
-
Absolutely not.
-
I'd be completely fine with every single totem locator in the game if spawns weren't so awful. You can run detectives and map for all I care but if you quite literally spawn on my totem then it doesn't matter anyways. Totem spawns are so bad and most of the maps that to me, even with old undying, they aren't worth using.
-
It's crazy my game always seems to crash in the loading screen when I get a Haddonfield offering

Well, honestly they don’t bother me. I’m a survivor main though, and it seems most of the complaints about them are from killers. I play a bit of killer, but not enough to really see them as a problem.
they basically just feel like theyre an excuse to have a consumable god window usually, really sucks to have to go out of your way to break them or lose a chase because of them, plus there are even some dumb ones like on the game that just lead to dead ends anyways so they seem equally stupid for both sides
-
all that told me was you don't know how to go against Billy, you say he has "infinite zoning" because he can just infinitely rev his saw at almost every pallet and that the survivor will eventually make a mistake yet you aren't taking into account that the Billy could mess up too, and if your average non screwing up period is 5 seconds that is again on you.
I don't know if you remember the patch notes about his nerf but I'll remind you they literally said "the more skilled player usually came out on top" how is that not a glowing review only to then nerf him. He wasn't even that popular before his nerf now he's a unicorn.
Billy, outside of a few addons that I will always agree needed nerfs, was punishing but fair in a way pretty much no other killer is. He's still like that for the most part but he's just not fun anymore, to much risk to the reward you get. Also dont confuse map control with zoning, sure Billy could get around the map but you could here him coming from across the map and you can usually see him coming its not like getting free cross maps with billy were easy nor common and they required the survivor to just not be paying attention.
-
@Predated said:

I remember at least seeing 1 post per week about Billy. He was by far the most played killer, so people were constantly arguing about the few things that werent fun against Billy: His addons and his zoning capability.
People did agree on him being probably one of the best balanced killers out there, but that doesnt mean there werent complaints. Deathslinger would be quite a well balanced killer if it wasnt for his infinite zoning either. Warden Keys might need a small nerf because it allows him to reload and shoot before survivors even finish their haste bonus post-hit, but even if its the infinite zoning just being removed, would be healthy.
His addons I could see but what do you mean by zoning he has a rev time, if you get caught out in the open you were most likely boned yeah but you were in a dead zone, yes there were complaints about crack Billy and insta saw Billy but no one wanted them to touch his base kit and anybody who did were in the vast minority.
