They do all this and don't touch the maps. All the "killers are fine and balanced at high level play" don't include all the brokenly survivor sided maps like Haddonfield, The Game, RPD (although everyone hates this map), Badham, Red Forest, etc etc. It's like "hey burn Macmillan's and hope you get coal tower without a second floor boon" at this point lol.
-
My friend pointed out that with unbreakable, new power struggle numbers, and boon:exponential they'll probably be able to slam the pallet onto your head before your m1 attack has cooled down
-
I cannot believe we're getting another twins' nerf. And a nemesis nerf. lmao.
-
Unsure about the prompt but a stale biscuit/candelabra (the one that adds time to the victor kicking animation) has been popular since if you don't fully complete the kick it doesn't destroy him, so maybe that's part of it
-
the only concession i'll give these days if i'm ahead is a hatch race :^)
-
I've been having fun with Scourge Hook Pain Res/Hex:Plaything/Starstruck/Deadlock even though they all have negative synergy with each other but that discordance adds to the appeal.
Starstruck forces people off generators near you. Plaything makes survivors have a secondary objective after getting hooked (and after first hook they're going to the cage if a scourge isn't nearby). They also have to make a choice between getting their totem and being vulnerable to starstruck again or not be aware of the Pyramid Head sneaking up on them. Deadlock is just guaranteed slowdown. Scourge hook pain resonance is there to get some opportunistic gen regression.
You can also pair it with the obsidian goblet iri to surprise anyone trying to go for a bodyblock/flashlight save by drawing the line of torment on whoever you're picking up and walking them through it.
-
if your killer isn't blight, you can also give them a skin to look like blight. I think they really like blight.
-
I've had to switch over to trying him out because I'm a twins main during this event rofl but snowmen are also rough for him. However you can usually force someone into torment because of it >:)
-
billy after overheating his chainsaw
-
they need to give victor a christmas sweater to make up for this imho
-
Making great skill checks gives extra progress so ~80 seconds is just a suggestion at the best of times.
-
Little victor following susie and pouncing on everyone she immediately injures and following them to the next one

Plague and Twins would be my suggestion.
This but legion and twins as well :)
-
Map pool was limited and every killer was nurse/blight/spirit. I think that's all that needs to be gleaned from this, sorry gamer.
-
They were a really good killer whose gameplay frustrated survivors (which SHOULD be normal because no one should ever be like "thank god i'm up against this killer haha") so they had to get the axe. It's a damn pity and right now the only twins mains left including myself basically play them out of spite I think lol.
Maybe they'll give them some love now that killer numbers are shrinking but I doubt it. At least forced penance gives them some of their old power back but it feels bad having to use a slot on that because everyone's running CoH.
-
Piping in as a fellow twins main, all the nerfs really prove they only use statistics when it benefited them. We were getting massive quality of life buffs until someone was like "oh wow Dowsey got a 200 win streak on the twins" and then everything went to hell lol

Penemento thrill undying ruin is nasty right now bc thrill is bugged
What's the bug if you don't mind me asking?
-
They also nerfed it by not allowing you to rekindle infinitely, unlike a boon totem. Rip.
-
If only smashing boons broke the totem so we could use it.

Why must I torment people? I'm playing Pyramid Head, I can't cage them otherwise.
I legit need to stop trying to save torment for the free mori when I play him lol
-
I would be ok with Billy's chainsaw also getting an ugly Christmas sweater too :)
-
Statistically people who bring boon totems into the match get killed at a higher rate than non boon totem bringers from being tunneled so boon totems will get buffed 8)
-
She does not so terror radius based perks don't work. Used to be a way to prevent Borrowed Time saves before that change lol
-
Yeah I wouldn't mind Nemesis getting a charge or the ability to globally reposition zombies by pressing ctrl at tier 2/3. In a chase with someone? Summon zombies will make them appear at the two closest hooks and you can use that to bully whoever you're chasing and also solve the issue of them getting stuck.

@JacksonWise said:
I used to like playing them occasionally but CoH destroys them now.
Yeah. They have to make two bad choices to deal with CoH right now: give up toy sword or forest stew for broken rattle or give up a perk slot for forced penance. Victor hugs count as protection hits if someone's around another survivor so when they crush him they can't heal it for 80 seconds.
But then you lose anyway because you gave up ruin/undying/pop/deadlock/etc for that slot
-
Survivors waiting 10 minutes in a queue to be like "oh no it's the killer i really hate" and DC never gets old to me, nor does the people left behind thinking it's time to farm either. >:)
-
The solution is to make survivors charge up Dead Hard like a Demogorgon shred or a Victor pounce, imho ;) as that would solve hit validation
-
add a perk that lets killers use E to do something imho
-
even if it wasn't a good game, you should say it imho. good sportsmanship is dying out. i add in the "wp" personally because some people will interpret gg in the wrong way but there isn't an accepted diss version of ggwp as far as i know lol.
-
Same, but I'm a twins main. ;_;

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/296318/why-does-every-nemesis-tunnel
Because 8 free health states a game is unreasonable. It's smarter(no matter how much you don't like it) to tunnel the person ready infected. Then it is to go and find someone else and infect them then down them.
I've been saying it since the PTB and it remains true. The speed boost from infection is stupid and overkill. Why is it Nemesis infection is deamed as too much if it doesn't give a speed boost. But plague pukes on you until you're broken and it's no problem.
Yeah, Nemesis' infection should have a lot more benefits for what they risk going for it over an m1 hit.
-
Needs buffs, only near viable playstyle is getting nerfed
-
Unless you need the extra tracking from the blood pools I don't think so. Forced Penance basically does its job better these days but even then I wouldn't think about using that on anyone but the Twins since they get a lot of mileage of out keeping people injured.
-
You guys are equating playing an asymmetrical video game to harassment if someone doesn't play the way you want them to. You can only control your response to actions in video games. If they're taking it outside the video game or hacking within it then you'd have a right to be upset. Opt out, take a breather, etc, there are many healthier ways to deal with people abusing effective tactics or trolling than whataboutism.
-
I think people confuse unsportsmanlike conduct with toxicity. I look at it two ways: everything within the game, and everything outside of the game. Inside the game nothing should matter. Baiting, trying to get a rise out of either side, "unfair tactics", etc... If you let that rock you then you have to develop more mental callus. Where it borders on "being unsporting" is when you have a situation like a survive with friends party burning haddonfield and having an end game celebration at the exit gate or letting everyone bleed out for 3 minutes as a killer (although sometimes that's an optimal play).
Toxicity is when that unsporting behavior carries outside of the game. If you refuse to GG out or say nothing at all and whine/rant/complaine/whinge/insult/etc then you might very well be toxic. Also if you cheat in game. You're toxic if you do that lol.
-
Has anyone said "you don't" yet?
-
Toy sword base kit.
Victor downing someone has him mauling them for 10 seconds to let Charlotte secure the pickup.
Less clunky transitions.
Charlotte getting either lowered TR or complete undetectability or enduring/spirit fury/brutal strength type buffs when Victor is taken hostage (she's mad that her brother has been taken away).
-
All scourge hooks should be every hook.
Hex perks should have a passive (maybe not that strong) attached to them so RNG isn't as unforgiving or also only spawn into the game when needed. Ruin spawns on a totem after someone's touched a generator, that sort of thing.
It would be nice if obsession perks didn't benefit the obsession so much.
Jolt: map wide or lower cooldown, applies kick related perks like eruption or trail of torment or dragon's grip.
Oppression: lower cooldown, applies every kick related perk as well.
Hoarder/Franklins: I don't play survivor but I think it would be funny if you got to keep everything left on the map to be gifted to your own survivors.
Unnerving presence: Honestly I'd make this just a basekit perk. It's pretty useless but would be atmospheric.
Predator/Bloodhound: Probably should be merged, maybe add a speed boost when seeing fresh blood to help out with Hold W meta.
Beast of Prey: Either kicks in extremely faster, makes bloodlust take shorter to build, or immediately go into undetectability when a chase is started. It's extremely bad.
Coulrophobia: I'd just build it in basekit as well.
Gearhead: Any attack, 30 seconds of being unable to do skillchecks and give it a built in ruin/thanatophobia effect (20% less efficient gen repair, gens not being worked on regress that sort of fun stuff)
Hysteria: remove injured requirement. Make everyone oblivious when someone gets hit. Should be funny.
-
It would be a nice buff if they could never get stuck. The good AI was there on the PTB from what I can tell (being a windows store gamer I can't access it hehe) and they changed something around to make them dumber because they were too effective.
-
Twins and they should receive nothing but buffs imho
-
@Myla said:
I legit haven't seen a Twin use the so called forbidden technique I keep hearing about.
Just leatherface.
There was a hidden nerf or something broke in the last patch no one knows about because no one plays the twins any more besides me and like three other people that prevents using elevation difference on hooks to release Victor so park and camp might have been killed.
-
I don't know man, seems like the answer is right there in your name :^)

That's fair, no I get that. I guess that's why they made Nemesis like this, but realistically... they could have done a lot.
Nemesis could be the only killer in the game that can just body slam through a breakable wall without getting stunned. I feel like smaller things like that would make him more interesting
Yeah, I wish he had this or a mini oni blood rush he could use for mobility to capitalize on zombie info.
-
I've been trying out different killers/endgame builds because of it/nerfs to the twins. It's been rough not having ways to cover distance quickly like using Victor and I've probably become an even meaner killer to survivors in games because of it but that's just how it goes.
-
Just make Devour Hope a token system instead of a hex and I'm sure camping will go away :^)
-
Tucker/Dale from Tucker and Dale Vs Evil would be pretty good survivors, imho
-
Oh I thought it was because you can't help but staring at elf dwight :^)
-
Ironically a pretty good example of what I meant by "it doesn't matter what you do" hehe
-
I wouldn't worry about the other side, gamer. Most survivors either understand that you have to play the way you do/want to or they just look for an excuse to get angry and it didn't matter what you did.
-
Might be, I've only noticed it since I switched over to playing Nemesis games and it's tricked me a couple of times to the point where I thought I was going crazy until I finally caught what was going on on video haha
