I have only these 2 screens I've take. I reported one player in the game saying it was the Dwight who used a hack.
I can't send a ticket because I have to write the ID64 of the player, but I don't remember which one it was. I only know Dwight was not my obsession (because of my obsession perk).
"Saignement" on the left of these 2 screens means "bleeding". We can see that it's too much mentioned to be normal ;)
Will I have a feedback from my report on the game ? I want to know the consequences for that player. Thanks !
You should probably edit out the names.

Well, if they redesign maps this perk will be dead. I'm ok with decent nerf on recovery speed.
It wouldn't be dead with a map redesign. People use it for things other than looping infinites.
-
I say put together perks until you find builds you like. c: I've ran Ruin, Discordance, BBQ, and Spies; Discordance, BBQ, Pop, Overcharge; and sometimes I put in Thanta, too. I don't have all the perks on them quite yet, though experimenting with builds is fun.

If keys are fair from survivors point of view, then EGC is also fair.
Even if keys aren't fair, EGC should still be seen as fair. The only thing that needs to be changed is to make doors not spawn next to each other. The killer shouldn't be able to camp the way out.

You're tempting people to put "git gud" by saying not to put it. xD lmao
Are we talking about newbie ranks or 1~5. I kinda wish they made ranks more of a level up than a level down. xD It's confusing sometimes.
If it's red ranks, just avoid red ranks. Play some meme games to get out of there. If it's yellow/white, do you best to get out of the 15~20 threshold. That's where the trolls tend to stay.

Yeah, that sounds like a bug. Does NOT sound like intended behavior.
I would write up a bug report.
How do I write up a report? I don't think I'm the only one who knows about it and nothing's been done about it so far. I'm not sure how much good filling out a bug report would be.
-
I think it'd be fine to start off survivor fully heal and not notify the killer that you're broken.
-
@tehshadowman33 said:
Wait, what?
A killer dropping a survivor into auto-escape doesn't register as survival category BP/emblem points?
That sounds like a bug.
Yeah, I'm thinking it's an oversight. It's been like that for a while now. It's why if you're letting people wiggle off (while farming), you don't drop them to get them off. I believe you can drop them 4 times to build up the wiggle meter. It's annoying when people drop you when you're about to wiggle out, though.

@fluffymareep By friendly, I mean that I often allow survivors to farm when someone disconnects. For me, there is no satisfaction in killing three survivors.
That would make sense. I was gonna say I do the same and people seem to take well to it. c:

I'm probably one of the few friendly killer mains out there. Example: Letting survivors farm when one disconnects.
And honestly? Survivors are very polite and thankful 95% of the time when I'm nice to them as killer. So, I don't really mind being a nice killer.
I thought "friendly killer" refers to farming killers (who farms with the group) and "nice killer" refers to someone who goes out of their way to be nice and considers the other side. I'm so confused. XD

Nah, don't worry too much about it. He's probably just the easily triggered sort. Some people have a vendetta against certain survivors, too, though I think that's typically as a joke (and out of boredom). He was probably just tilted 'cause you wasted a lot of his time by juking him with the pallets.

1.2 gigs. I've uploaded 50+ gig files before. Size isn't the problem.
.mp4 format. Recommended format. Also tried .avi, and .wmv. Also didn't work. I've tried compressing the video to 200 mb, also didn't work.
So just chalking it up to Youtube being dumb and will try again later once their "highly trained" monkeys fix it.
Haha, possibly. I haven't uploaded a YouTube video in a while. Hopefully the highly trained monkeys will fix it soon.

Yeah, I tested it out, it doesn't work.
We recorded a video but Youtube is like "hell naw".
...Even when I tried to format the video into a different format, it still rejects it, so I can't upload to show.
Probably Youtube being Youtube. Not much I can do about it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Was the size too big or did it just save it to a weird format? I can't remember if I had to change the file type back while I was uploading YouTube vids. It could be easier to upload it to Twitch, I'm not sure.

Devs mentioned something similar, maybe in last stream, or just a post, though if memory serves, it was about standing survivors, not downed ones, but it could work the same way. It would be wonderful: both a little more fair towards killer points, a much needed fix for hook dependent perks, and not least of all, for Hatch exploits like described in this post.
Also: I can't believe how many people are so deeply biased that they refuse to admit the scumminess of such a move. It's so obviously an exploit, it practically yells in your face. I fully understand how horribly boring it is when you're staying slugged for ages, while there's still another survivor around, stealthy as someone can be. Killers, you shouldn't be so bent on getting a 4K to do it all the time, it's horribly boring for survivors. But survivors should also consider that the killer may be going for an Adept, or just maxing out his score... or simply likes his 4K. You got beaten. In game. A little time spent slugged is tolerable.
I don't think the issue is about people being bias, but about the culture around DCing as a whole. A lot of people don't see it as an issue and will DC for any rhyme or reason. It's kinda dumb. A lot of end game is a lose-lose situation for survivors, too. Like when doors spawn next to each other, etc. I don't quite get slugging for the 4k, but I'm not actively going for Adept achievements and I know those are a pain compared to what the survivors have to do.

Okay, now you are making a lot more sense.
I'll record (or have my brother record since my computer is poop) a video. Probably of me slapping him, letting him wiggle until he's nearly free, then dropping him and seeing if he gets the points or not.
I don't play on console, but I know you don't get the points on PC if the killer drops you and you get freed.

The ability to just run to a corner and heal infinitely negates any and all pressure a Killer applied in chasing and hitting you. Instead of having to find a teammate or use a medkit, you just lol off to a hidey hole and heal. Plus it enables startegies like hook cycling; zerg the hook, and just take hit and heal so that a fresh person can always run in and bodyblock while you chase one. Add in flashlights and it gets even worse; it's the extra factor in the equation that can make it impossible to win unless you have a reliable instadown like on Myers, Leatherface or Billy
If you're using SC, you're healing at a slow rate and wasting a lot of time doing so. It's faster to find a teammate to heal you or heal with a med-kit. You're still getting pressure 'cause that's time they're not on a gen.

Well, this is the only data point we have, so I based my speculation on that. I'm not psychic, as far as I know, so I had no other recourse.
Which would be helpful if people were looking for a surface reason to consider, but people are cruel for no rhyme or reason. I've had people threaten to hurt me 'cause I said something they thought was dumb or did something they didn't want me to do (and didn't express not wanting me to do). The closest you can come to for a true explanation would be looking into the person's psyche. Someone else doesn't control another person's reaction or what they say and often aren't even that big of an influence on it, so bringing it up as a possible reason is insignificant and can come off as making excuses for them or trying to divert the blame to the victim in the situation. I'm sure this wasn't you're intention. I'm just letting you know the reasoning behind what you perceive as misreading what you said. A lot of interactions don't just take place on a black and white plane. A lot of people aren't so simple to just mean what they say. They say what they do for a reason and that reason is often gray and not explicitly stated.

Where did I say any of those things? Seriously, are you even reading what I'm writing? My first comment explicitly says I'm not condoning this behavior, yet I have multiple people who apparently either skipped that part or lied about it.
I mean, what I listed was a source of frustration, too, possibly, related to the perks you could use. We really aren't seeking out to understand why he's frustrated. For all we know, he had an argument with his SO and is taking it out on whoever's his opponent. It means about as much as personally not liking some perks.

Nah, even when pipping was point-based survivors were toxic little trolls. Back then i would often go out of my way to make sure i dragged the game out to max every survivor's points in every category so they could pip, but they rarely were willing to return the favor. Its not the emblem system or any other excuse; they're just used to being the entitled elite masses who should never lose.
No, I was talking about killer-wise. I'm aware a lot of survivors have been toxic for a while, especially since back then Ochido was a thing and he's super toxic and there's quite a few streamers who are toxic because they think it's funny or something. I think it's worse for killers in some way. You get 4 against 1 and that doesn't feel good. SWF often do that against solo players, too.
When I mentioned emblems, I meant they found it too hard to pip or felt the devs are taking too long to implement something that'll allow them to play their favorite without stressing too much. I personally don't try to drag my feelings from a past game into a present game since it wasn't the current people I'm facing who's at fault, so I can only guess their reasoning.

I've seen Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike be used more often to hook rush than I've seen them used against campers. Regardless, I was just listing possible sources of frustration.
That's like saying "You used Ruin, so obviously the survivors were toxic" or "You used BBQ, so you should expect this treatment." People should be able to use any perks they wish, so long as they're not bugged terribly to the point they break the game in some way. In that case, they should be fixed, though, imo. Someone running a perk isn't an excuse to flaming and being rude.

@BigBlackMori said:

When all you encounter is toxicity you expect nothing but toxicity. The fact is that any Killer who plays efficiently and wins is going to get flamed, insulted and threatened more often than not. The rare few times people are good sports don't make up for the majority of times when people are pricks, so you assume every survivor group are salty little jerks, and since you can't talk to them in the lobby you never know beforehand.
It's why I'm not toxic towards people. You need to be the change you want to see in the world. I want everyone to have a good experience. I usually compliment the killer if I thought they did well. I also stand up for the killer if I feel the other survivors are being unreasonable.
It just kinda feels like the trolls who went to lower ranks (15~20) to bully killers have also made their way to the killers ranks and a lot of people are just on edge or out to be mean and stuff. I think it's to protest the Emblem system, personally. I hadn't seen nearly as much before then. It certainly doesn't help that killer hasn't been given a natural prolonging to the game to make it less stressful, though, like with extra gen time or additional (mandatory) objectives. I've seen people give really good suggestions to balance. I hope they incorporate some of it, at least.

Of course you would feel the need to defend him. "I'm not saying it's okay, but what were you doing running perks that are in the game?" LOL
Obviously running perks is toxic. Also running away from killers are toxic, too. All they want are hugs. :c Especially Susie. She wants group hugs.
-
People are just being more and more salty and toxic. The most it felt like you got before was campers, but it feels like more and more trolls are sticking to DbD and making games miserable. It's like how killer mains say (I think?). Enjoy the salt. Feed off of it.
A lot of killers assume everyone they face is a toxic SWF, too. Especially bad ones 'cause it couldn't possibly be them.
-
What if a DC still kept the player character in the game and you could still hook them as normal? Maybe they just wouldn't struggle on second hook, but they'll hang on first. That would also fix the issue with people DCing to deny killers their stack of BBQ.

Who cares? Damn, all these little thousand cuts gripes about any hint of adversarial play in an adversarial game.
There are a lot of big systemic issues with Dead by Daylight, and then there are insignificant gripes like this one.
Adding points to an escape (by the killer's drop) would be easy, though. I wouldn't think fixing people losing points (on console, from what I've heard at least) or lose survival points (on PC) would be hard, either.
-
It's about practicing your loops as tight as you can and knowing when you can throw down a pallet and when you can loop again and how to fake throwing a pallet and so on. It's also important to know how close a swing may hit you at normal latency and paying attention to your latency in the match and adjusting how you play accordingly.

not understanding the loop hole with dropping.
are you talking about when killer drops you many time till they lose they grasp on you? how you not getting points for that?

But it doesn't have the same outcome. One is you successfully escaping the killer's grasp, thus you are no longer downed, and can run again. If the killer just downs you and never picks you up, is that denying your points, too?
Secondly, you did not answer my question. Please explain how and why you believe a mechanic that is clearly in the game, being used in its intended way of dropping a survivor you picked up, a 'loop hole'?
Again, is leaving a survivor slugged on the ground a 'loop hole' too? Despite killer perks being designed for such things (Deer Stalker, Knock Out, Hex: The Third Seal) and survivor perks to counter a killer slugging? (Unbreakable, Tenacity, No Mither, Buckle Up)?
Wait, how isn't it the same thing? You're literally escaping and running away in both scenarios. I'm wondering if people aren't understanding what I'm saying 'cause I don't think it's that farfetched to say I want the points if the killer tries to put me down and it results in my escape. I'm still escaping.
The loop hole lies in denying points. Some killers are really against survivors getting points and try to deny it any way they can. I also believe it's an oversight.
Friend, I'm not talking about slugging a survivor. Maybe I wasn't very clear in how I explained it. I'm not really good at expressing myself, so I apologize. What I was talking about is the specific scenario where they try to put you down and it results in you escaping. I think it's an oversight that you don't get points in that scenario. With how bad the grind is, I want it anywhere I can and as I expressed earlier, survival is a category you'll rarely get far over 5k with, if that. I'm not talking about getting points if the killer drops you and you become a slug. That would be silly and I think maybe I didn't express myself well enough and that's why people are railing against it.
I personally don't think it'd be a big deal to allow you to get points in that case since you're still escaping the killer's grasp by all definition of the term and survivors getting more points in a place that feels like an oversight (for them not getting points) wouldn't have a negative affect on killer imo. It would just get more BP and I like more BP. Helps me level up newer characters quicker.
-
I noticed and I think it's really cool! c: It adds to the drama of the situation imo.

I know but still there are a lot more perks/addons that can drain the perk in no time. Rather see it recharging on a long CD than to have limited charges.
I'm sorry, what do you mean by CD? I'm aware there's other perks/addons that can drain it, but it gives you valuable information, regardless, and I assume BBQ is present in all my matches and react accordingly. If I'm in a strong spot or haven't gotten any hooks, I'll roam around. Also if I'm close to done with a gen, I'll stay on it. Otherwise, I'll go hide in a locker or hide behind a gen. Or I'll fake where I'm heading. It has counters that don't require perks, though distortion really doesn't. It'll work to hide your aura and give you definite information on what the killer has/might have. And once again, survivor perks need to be weaker than killers (comparably) or else they'd be a nightmare to go against.
-
@Dirtyhennessy said:
The only thing that puzzles me is that BBQ can be used max 11 times and distortion only has 3 charges.
Survivor perks will always be weaker than killer ones since you have to account for there being 4 survivors and 1 killer. Most of the time distortion is used for information, anyway. After seeing BBQ eat it the first time, you can just hop into a locker whenever they hook or fake out a direction.
-

I don't think people who play DBD play on console and pc. On console Nurse is a nightmare to play and beyond frustrating. She needs a rework just to make her playable for console if anything else.

-
Survivors: Teammates (sandbagging, leaving you on the hook and not saving, farming), camping and tunneling
Killer: Mostly end game chat stuff, though tbagging at the exits and running out before the killer can get a hit is annoying, too.
-
It would waste a lot of time, though. By that point, the killer wouldn't have a lot they can do, especially if there's nothing to kick. You don't get much points for struggle, anyway. They need to rework the survival category. In most games, you won't be getting much there.

Loop hole?
You do know that the ability to drop survivors instead of letting them wiggle free is an intentional and intended game mechanic, right?
That doesn't give points, despite having the same outcome. Them rewarding you points for the killer dropping you so that you would break free literally wouldn't negatively affect killers. I don't know why people are arguing against it.
-
They're making a new way to get BP coming up here, pretty sure.
-
Hide in a locker or bring in distortion if you're having issues with it. BBQ is fine and doesn't need a nerf.

Can you all just stop focusing in the obvious absurd suggestions, and discuss the actual good ones?
Only one of each item type allowed per swf group. That would stop full insta heal squads or full toolbox genrush squads and so on
Limit the max rarity of items/addons/offerings swf groups are allowed to bring in based on how many people are in the group
Put your egos aside and discuss the important ######### that benefit the game
I'm okay with these two. The rest just seems trivial imo.
On top of those two, can we make it so that the lowest rank in the group is the one you're facing. So if you have a rank 15, 13, and 2, you're facing a rank 2. The rank 2 shouldn't be getting an easier game and it may help with lower ranks being boosted up to the higher ranks.

@Mister_Holdout said:
@fluffymareep Because until the devs do something about the garbage map design, certain killers are going to have a really hard time against competent survivors. If you add to that free aura reading, then the match will be even more unfun for the killer.
Also, matchmaking is indeed the major problem. I've played with really skilled survivors before, and I don't think I ever saw one instance of someone not getting rescued in time. Good survivors know how to play the game well. Unfortunately, there are plenty of survivors who don't.
But isn't that something they're working on? They made a lot more unsafe pallets in some of the newer maps from what I've heard and seen. They were looking to cut down on loop money I think they called it? I would personally think it'd be fine to just show the auras of survivors the hooked person is currently looking at and the killer if the survivor can see them (if they're close). That way the killer can get away with camping they would have gotten away with if the person didn't have Kindred. I know someone else suggested icons and I'm okay with that, too.
I'd consider myself decent and have let someone second stage or die because the person going for them got cut off and I didn't see (e.i. they didn't get hurt) until it was too late. If you have two people on separate gens, they're likely to think the other is going for the save, too.
-
Freddy just got a rework that made him significantly stronger, so maybe take the Freddy complaint off there? It isn't helping your case when someone can say "not anymore" to go against a point you're trying to make.
With Legion, they made it so that you can hit them twice (often with the first a quick stabby) instead of 4+ times and that makes them worse somehow?
Plag's biggest issue is that the bulk of her power comes from survivors feeding it to her. Without that, she's just an M1 killer who can one shot you and can locate you easier 'cause you're noisy. Being faster while puking isn't gonna make her top tier. It's just something that can be cheesed.
You mean the changes during EGC or the M2 being treated as an M2? I dunno why the latter happened. The first was probably to avoid cheesing a situation since the hatch could now be closed.
Nurse won't be gutted. She's just gonna have her add-ons adjusted (and possibly base) to make her feel more fair. A lot of things have changed since back in the day and survivors are significantly weaker than they once were. She should be adjusted to make up for that. There shouldn't be a killer you can reliably get 3~4k regardless of opponent's skill (once you get better at her) and she's always in the way whenever a flat buff to all killers is being discussed.
