I play in a swf. I fully understand the advantages I get but playing as comms can be a bit much. But I enjoy it at better then solo. Don't get me wrong I have fun playing solo at times too but I find swf more enjoyable overall. I do want to try being in a swf with comma though.
Everyone has the right to play in a swf or not. If you like to play solo that's fine if you like to play swf that is also fine, to each his own. I feel we should not look down on other because of their preference. It's just how they have the most fun as long as they aren't be toxic.

The signature for Trickster looks like it says "Pound" to me but I couldn't find anything. I also couldn't make out Zarina's.
edit: @dspaceman20 got there first but here's the proof it's them
I love their artwork too. I want to request one but alas I don't have money. I want an adam one.

Dead Hard can be annoying when survivors use it well, but honestly if you lost a kill over a single dead hard you made a lot of mistakes up to that point. Dead Hard is not some instant win thing as many survivors fail to use dead hard well.
Like in the Otz video you shared when he was playing Plague on Rotten Fields and the survivor near the beginning of the match dead hards towards shack out in the middle of the corn field and goes down because they weren't close to anything.
In the Myers match on the game none of the survivors had dead hard.

We need entitled survivor main vs. entitled killer main. @Sluzzy where you at? Only you can finish this guy off.
Also, I watched your Twitch VODs. You have a bad habit of camping and tunneling, which is what makes you lose. Also saw you get 360'd by a default Claudette lol
You assumed the survivors were SWF every time at least one person escaped LMAO
Don't you know solo survivors never work as a team.
Is survivors work as a team and play efficient it's automatically a swf.

Your point? I've seen Otz destroy good SWF's, especially in his "50 wins as x Killer". And he does those without add-ons.
But, I guess those don't matter since they don't fit your agenda, right? Jesus dude, your hate boner for people playing with friends is just ridiculous at this point.
He just hates every survivor in existence. All of us are toxic jerks to him.

I honestly feel you about dead hard. With the new change to DS, dead hard has seem to taken its place as a must have for any and every survivor. Chasing down really good survivors just to have them use dead hard and reset all the time you just spent closing the gap in the chase, is very frustrating. But to have to deal with this scenario almost every single match, and also on every survivor, just get boring and annoying.
The fact that it causes exhaustion is fair. But the fact a survivor can use it on command and not worry about finding a vault spot or something to trigger their speed perk, is a bit OP. My idea of a change would just to give it tokens, then survivors wouldn't be able to abuse it as much as possible. Either give it a set limit at the start, or they gain a charge if they take a protection hit or something similar.
It's not that big of a deal on inexperienced survivors, but we all know how cruel it can be on those that can perfectly loop every map. And when the really good survivors have looped you for awhile and use DH, suddenly all that time you spent is just wasted entirely. Your only choice is to commit and sacrifice more generator pressure, or leave them and chase someone else. But by the time you find them again their DH is ready to use again and your back to square one.
This is the change I would somewhat suggest. I would say give it 3 tokens to be used 3 times afterwards they are permanently effected with the exhaustion status effect.

I know that if you post your gameplay on the forum people will give you feedback on it. I did it and it was really helpful.

- Not all SWFs bully - I have never been in a SWF where anyone bullied the killer - believe it or not a lot of people just want to have fun and aren't toxic or bullies. Unlike a lot of the hyperbole and vitriol spread on these forums - most of us streamers are just regular people playing games and having fun - I could care less whether I win a match or not - I'm in it for the fun.
- Not all SWFs use voice comms - Because I stream - if I SWF with a friend not on PC we don't use comms and even with some PC friends we don't use comms because we are streaming. It's a pain to use push to talk/push to mute and we like to be able to talk to our streams without having other streams to hear our conversations.
- Not all SWFs are 4 people together - I only SWF about 10% of my survivor games and the majority of those SWFs are me and one other person - rarely do I do 3 man SWFs and VERY rarely 4 man.
- As a killer going against a SWF is fun to me - Most of them I exploit their altruism...which results in more 3/4ks.
I'm thinking about playing swf with my friends without voice comms. How is it? Is it fun? And do you just plan out before hand what your perks are or do you go in completely blind?

But he’s already fine. The only thing survivors can do is waste pallets quickly, only to still go down quickly.
Clown played properly means the survivors can’t get gens done fast enough to exceed the frequency of downs he’s getting.
This means Slugging is an excellent tactic with him because it wastes so much of the survivors time with how often 1 or 2 survivors are on the ground.
You don't mind me asking what are the counters to clown. Just in case I can be prepared for when I go up against a good clown.

Well the pallet for 1 has to way a lot to be able to stun even super human killers powered by the entitiy.
But it also has to be light enough if survivors can throw them down and pick them up effortlessly.
Most of the killers are still human so and I'm going to assume they get a concussion for each hit from the pallet. Most concussions neuroscientist say is about 95 Gs. So that will be the force.
You would probably have to take gravity into account since it's being pulled down. Gravity acceleration is 9.8m/s^s.
I'm going to use 1 of newton's 3 laws for this. Th3 second laws states that Force of an object is equal to its mass times acceleration so we can use the equation F=MA and do some algebra to find the mass of the pallet.
You would probably also have to take the acceleration of the survivors throw into account as well and I'm unsure how to find that at the moment.
So in the end you would probably have an equation like this
Mass of the pallet = Forces of the blow (95)/ Acceleration of gravity (9.8) + acceleration of throw (which is unknown at the moment)
Thus is what I think we about the pallet in dbd. There is probably a lot of flaws with my thinking (I'm a novice in physics and will be studying more) so take this with a grain of salt. This was fun to think about.
(I hoped this helps a little bit. I'm sorry of it turns out to be wrong)

That's fine, I get what you're saying as well. I've played along with a couple of "online friends" that I made by asking around here on the forum, but there's no Discord talk or anything like that. Just other people to join up with who will help fill the queue and develop trust with, that kind of thing. Was your SWF experience like that or did you mean the whole teamwork / Discord chat type of thing? I ask because I wonder what most people think of when they say SWF.
I didn't find people through the forums. I play on Xbox and there is looking for group section on it and that'd where I found them. We talk through party chat. I'm not sure about discord though I have never tried that.

@miketheratguy said:
I enjoy the solo game, even if some of my losses sometimes feel cheap. I like the idea of four random strangers having to work together toward a common goal. I like not being paired with cliques of dickhole friends.
Maybe I'm in the minority but I see no need for solo buffs. The difficulty of playing by myself with no means of actual communication may make things more difficult than SWF, which means that it's going to take longer to learn to excel at the game, but I'm fine with that. I don't want my hand held. A more fair and balanced matchmaking system wouldn't hurt though...
I think I was like you at first. I played solo the first time mainly because I was nervous to play with other. I was able to get to purple ranks on my own from playing solo. I would say I was pretty decent.
Overtime I met some kind people and enjoyed playing with them. I'm fact I would say I gotten better by being in solo. By playing with my better friends I was able to learn from them and do better. The skills that I learned in swf I can carry to solo anytime and do well. I wouldn't say I had my hand held either. I probably would have learned at the same time if I had stayed solo.
I guess my point is regardless If I'm in solo or swf your skill will be the same and you get better by just playing more not if your solo or swf.
P.s I'm not trying to encourage or discourage you to play in a swf. To each his own but just to say I get what your saying.

-
The struggles of being on console. I understand your pain
-
I will never use current object and no one left behind. It's completely useless.
I will never take off detectives hunch. Its extremely amazing perk and one of the best counters against hexes
-
Ok let's talk about it.
Adrenaline: it's fine it rewards survivors for completing their objectives and the survivor is player the rest of the game with 3 perks. Also it's completely dependent on the situation. If your being chased by the killer it helps but if your not it's not too useful. It's also countered by noed, and insta down killers.
Borrowed time: it's one of the only counters against camping and tunneling to a degree. It's fine. If your not tunneling or camping near the hook you should be fine ( I'm probably missing something about it thought)
Dead hard: I can agree its a bad second chance perks and need a rework to be more skill based ( after you fix it of course)
Decisive Strike: was nerfed and its fine as it as now.
Flip Flop and power struggle: it has so many counters and its very nich often times requiring a full build to make it work. I cannot believe your complaining about Flip Flop and power struggle.
Iron will and new lucky break; lucky break us definitely not coming. Its too strong and nearly everyone agrees it was over buffed. But iron will being a second chance perk? That's a really big stretch and I don't see how.
Mettle of man: it requires the survivor to play extremely reckless to get a decent effect. If you manage to put in the work to get Mettle of Man to activate then you deserve it. It's a now balanced second chance perks. If you would even call it that. I don't think you shouldn't complain about it.
Soul guard: it's getting nerfed so it's not a problematic perk. Yeah its second chance but it's fine
Unbreakable: about the same reasoning for soul guard. It's a fine second chance perk.
The team second chance: I think its unreasonable to complain about Survivors team second chance. Often times the survivors have to play reckless I'm order to get the team second chance and they earned it by working as a team. Are survivors not allowed to work as a team? Be reasonable.
Most of the complaints about these perks are unreasonable since they are mostly balanced. The only problematic second chance perk here in this list is dead hard. Everything else is mostly fine.
-
That seems like an easily fixable issue.
Just make a statement in the news section of the game when your in the main menu that breakdown is bugged at the moment and that using it will get you banned. That way people know of the issue and can't use ignorance as an excuse. If they didn't read the announcement and used breakdown and get banned that's on them.

I liked Scott Jund’s idea where the teammates communicate through a text system that has the options of what to communicate limited. It fixes the lack of communication issue and it won’t be too OP.
I liked that idea but I would also like a system like in the game white noise 2. Sure it's not a popular game but that doesn't mean it doesn't do things right.
In white noise 2 the survivors would speak and communicate to each other to (not voice chat) using a set text system. the downside of using it though it that it also reveals your location to the killer so it was balanced.

I agree tbh, if solo queue gets buffed along with all killers' kits (movement speed, cooldown, etc.) getting buffed to balance it out, I think SWF will be fine.
I don't want SWF nerfed, but I do want solo queue to be buffed.
I agree completely.
Also if you think about if you buff solo queue then it makes it more appealing and people won't see swf as a need.
Me (and I'm going to assume a lot other people) play swf not just because it's funner to play friends but because its not a almost complete lost for them. Playing in a swf feels like you actually have a chance. So buffing solo would definitely help more people play solo. I know I would play solo more if it was better.

Killers footsteps are loud, especially when it comes to Oni and Demogorgon, who have such loud stomps it can be heard from 16 meters, even if they are Undetectable. The only killer who has no audible footstep sounds is the Nurse, but she floats, and at 3.68 m/s, so... I wouldn't expect her to make footstep noises. As for Mikey, Wraith, LF, Hillbilly, Clown, or even Deathslinger... their Footstep sounds can be heard from at least 12 meters away, but most people don't notice either because of their TR music, generator noises, or the TR heartbeat. However, I've personally heard an Undetectable Mikey approaching because of his footsteps and long before I even hear his breathing, so I know that is still at appropriate levels. I can't say I've heard them once the chase music starts, but at that point, hearing his footsteps was the least of my concern.
In all fairness though, If you feel there is an imbalance in killer footsteps too, we might as well go for broke and up the volume on them as well. While this may mean the end of the Undetectable status as a way of getting the drop on survivors, It might encourage devs to buff the Undetectable status to remove that sound effect as well while "Undetectable"... which is something I think every Demogorgon main has been praying for since his release.
I don't think I have a problem hearing demo's or oni's footsteps. But with others I think your right their terror radius hide their footsteps. Maybe it's just my ears.
