Let me guess; you're going to use my answer to dismiss all my points without actually countering them because you've got no counter arguments to solid facts and are seeking a way to ignore my very solid argument?

Yes, sometimes, I do. That does not mean my points are wrong.

    No, I knew the answer

  • Noed is totally broken. It kills more survs than 90% of low-mid mmr killers. And another problem is that killers that use it think they’re better than they really are. And when they play with good survs they come here crying because they think they’re semigods and the problem is that survs are op

Because noed gives them extra kills they don’t deserve

Oh look; the same lie Survivors always babble. 'They don't deserve the kills because we said so! Proof NoED is broken! 🤪'

Does NoED show the Killer where Survivors are? No. So the Killer still has to use other Perks, or just find them on his own.

Does NoED hurt Survivors on its own? No. So the Killer still has to chase Survivors and hit them.

Does noED hook Survivors on its own? No. So the Killer still has to be aware of flashlight saves, flashbangs, pallets, hook sabo, bodyblocking, DStrike...

The simple fact is that NoED is balanced. Because of this, Survivors vomit lies and fake flaws in order to pretend NoED has flaws to try getting it nerfed. Because they have nothing.

Three unalterable facts that take apart every Survivor whine-post about NoED:

    1. It does not give kills Killers 'don't deserve' because they deserve every Kill they get. That's how the game works. They killed you? Your hurt widdle feelings aside; they deserved the kill. That as stupid as saying 'Survivors did not deserve the gen because they used Prove Thyself 🤪'
    2. It does not 'reward failure' because the Killer has not failed until you leave the map. Survivors cannot just invent a failure state and expect it to be a rule.
    3. Deal with it.

    You use noed, don’t you?

  • If devs want to remove the distance part of the perk I can help them.. remove the perk. Everybody will use sb instead

Because you probably play at low MMR, learn to play and you will understand that NOED its trash perk at high MMR.

I’m high mmr with 4.500 hours, and when I see a killer that only gets 2-3 hooks before 5 gens are done I know he has noed. Why do you think I play against him/her? Because noed gives them extra kills they don’t deserve.

If you are 3000 you will only get matched with 1900 if the queue time has exceeded a certain time.

Or like they said in the q&a when a lobby is suddenly missing a player and they need to fill it in quickly.

Or if the killer facecamp, tunnel and have noed. I see hundred of them

  • @EntitySpawn said:

So this will be a very long post, I'll do a quick summary for the lazy readers ;) and a full version after so.....

Quick summary of me: been playing since console release, both roles. Always rank one and would now assume high mmr. I know pretty much everything about the game from perks, killer counters, maps/tiles and even totem spawns.

In short: DH, a strong perk with many uses at most tiles and loops. Hurts basic attack killers more than antiloop ones. The distance should be changed, this would make it less strong against basic killers and would reduce the gap between basic attack and the more powerful antiloop killers.

Long version: DH currently has 2 parts to it, this is what makes it such a strong and multi use perk as it has next to 0 limitations and requirements. Requirements being injured and not exhausted, and it's two effects being distance and iframes.

Distance: basically allows you to cover more distance than usual, this mean you can get to pallets and vaults you wouldn't normally make and gives you the ability to correct mistakes (or mindgames by the killer) at a loop or gives you an extra free rotation in a loop. Can still be used to get to a corner faster avoiding a ranged attack

Iframes: while in animation you take 0damage and arent affected by certain actions. This is great to avoid ranged attacks like a hatchet or a very well timed use a shock from doctor.

Out of these two effects the distance clearly adds alot of extra possibilities to the perk, why I do think its terrible a perk is able to correct a mistake for free I feel the impact it has on basic attack killers due to this is what hurts them the most. While antiloop killers are usually stronger by base they arent as affected by the distance. (If a huntress can throw over a loop, she can keep you there even with DH)

So if we changed the distance (like I recommend) it would reduce the distance between the basic attack killers and the antiloop ones (usually the stronger ones) this means 1 perk isnt widening their potential and makes overall balances better in the future as a perk wont be changing the outcome.

So if the distance what would the use of DH be? Well this means DH now has a specific use much like other perks. So DH main use now would be to avoid an antiloop/ranged attack (usually linked to the stronger killers) but DH still has the ability to avoid damage, this means you can DH past a Billy/blight coming towards you and even over trappers traps. As you can see there are lots of uses still but now has a more focused use.

Unlike most exhaustion perks DH doesnt need much requirements. For example lithe and balanced require an interaction from the map itself, and sure SB etc. Just work whenever but you have to be less efficient walking around or if you 99 it you cant make progress on a heal or gen and still save it.

Overall DH atm has too much freedom and use and that's why its meta. With this change it would not only reduce its use (less meta, more perks may be used) but it now has a specific use like most perks and would reduce the gap/damage it does to the basic attack killers meaning theyrr more effectively. In turn making all killers on a better more equal playing field.

    Thoughts?

Agreed. If you remove the distance dh would affect the same to m1 killers and antiloop killers.. nothing. Because you won’t see the perk again

  • then remove bloodlust and transform it to a perk. Same as survivor must use ds it bt

  • I don’t know why bloodlust is basekit and bt doesn’t

  • Because of camping, tunneling and noed. So many killers use these tactics and the sbmm finally put them against good survs, and they think they deserve 4k with trapper. And then they come here to cry

  • do not camper and tunnel and you see less dc. Easy

  • @fulltonon said:

Tunnel and camp is 1000% intended very good behavior, if anything we should remove weird penalty of the emblem system from the game, so we can happily tunnel/camp.

We could do something to "bully squad" (if that is what you mean) though.

Vamos and tunnel is a valid strategy, but it’s a very bad behavior, sorry.

  • @Anara said:

Even camping isnt enough. I tried everything. Against this kind of teams I can get 1K and thats it.

    SBMM is not fun.

at least you can get 1k. Against good nurses we only can have 0 escapes

  • @GannTM said:

I use Lithe more than any exhaustion perk and I really love it. I usually get a ton of value out of it almost every game. I don’t even think it’s too strong or too weak, I just think it’s a perfect example of a fair and balanced exhaustion perk.

I know why Lithe isn’t used much, it’s because Dead Hard is so much better and so much easier to use. I just wish Dead Hard can get nerfed so other under used perks like Lithe can get exposed in the survivor meta. Also, many will agree Dead Hard is objectively unfair in its current state.

Do you know after a dh nerf killers will ask for a sb nerf, next will be overcome and lithe, don’t you?

  • @Crowman said:

If you spent more time learning to play against camping and tunneling, you would be better at the game. Instead you just want to avoid challenging matches for the sake of not having to lose.

I have 4.700 hours as surv. I know how to play against campers, but I always play solo

  • Agreed if the match ends if a surv open a door

A community mod that works for BHVR answered your question of why blocking players doesn’t work. Why keep going with this topic? They will never and should never allow players to block people.

Guys please..... mandy is right. I also know there was a way to block players back then. Good players then had the absolute aftermath. It's just like the DC penalties. You can see the difference immediately and many players come up with the craziest excuses and explanations even though they know full well they are abusing the system.

Well, ley me see the killer steam profile. If he is a good killer no one will complain, but if he is a facecamper I can at least lobby dodge. I don’t know why people think as surv I must play against a person I dislike and as killer I can lobby dodge because I can see their profile

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2755320#Comment_2755320

Think about it. Lots of people start blocking over petty reasons (and I have no doubt this would happen) it’s going to make wait times longer for everyone.

So I can block console player base or I can lobby dodge as killer but I can’t block as surv a killer I don’t want to play against

  • @Brimp said:

Man played against really good killers and now I blocked them! Time to play against killers that are constantly worse than me.

If the player base was 100 people probably. But there’s a lot of player, it should affect wait times. And I don’t want these kind of people don’t find matches, I only don’t want to play with them

All the old "nobody likes my half-thought out idea, so they must all be camping killer mains" probably my favorite DbD specific logical fallacy.

But hey, let's use a real world example to see if that helps you understand.

Let's say you are part of a small amateur football league. Now, one team has a player who every time you play, is able to slide tackle the ball right from under your feet, and bypass your goalie like he isn't there. Every time you face them you lose, because they play a lot more aggressively than your club does, and keep you on your heels.

Here you are saying that you shouldn't have to ever face that team, because losing to them makes you sad. They're playing the same game, by the rules established, but you don't like it, so you believe it should be changed. Meanwhile your goalie relishes the challenge, because he knows facing this club makes him that much better each time. The rest of the team may agree with the goalie, but you want to force them to play against only the opponents you like, regardless.

Well, as killer you can avoid it, because you see the names. You only can’t avoid it as surv

  • @AsherFrost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2755389#Comment_2755389

Unless I'm put on your team, and then the game has to look through the long list of killers who hurt your feelings by trying to win.

bur in real life I won’t play with these people, I don’t like them. I don’t know why you can’t understand it, but probably this forum should be about 95% campers killers

  • @AsherFrost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2755376#Comment_2755376

    "Fair"

That's a fun word to use here. That would imply you believe any playstyle you don't like to be unfair. Personally I like facing killers that try their best and use every tool available, including defending objectives (even hooks) and tunneling out strong survivors (being chased is the most fun part of the survivor experience, so I personally appreciate a killer who wants to chase me whenever they see me)

Those are in the game and not against the rules, so it's fair.

Well, you don’t block them and you would find these kind of people and you’ll wait less time

  • @AsherFrost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2755371#Comment_2755371

That's a lot of assumptions to make about someone who you don't know. Should we also assume that you just want the 4E every game and want to block killers who have the audacity to not let you go?

I never escape against fair killers, so no, I don’t want 4 escapes every game

  • @AsherFrost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2755354#Comment_2755354

It isn't "more difficult" to find a match. It's still 1 button press either way. The queues for survivor are definitely getting longer, but that is due to how few killer players there are compared to survivors, so you blocking killers would actually increase the time you end up waiting for a match, as the pool of killers available to play with would shrink.

I prefer to wait 5 min more and play against a fair killer. And probably 99% of survs

  • @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2755347#Comment_2755347

The good Killers are the ones that tunnel and camp or are playing Nurse/Blight/Spirit. Every other Killer needs to camp or tunnel against good Survivors

Only because you want the 4k. If you play fair, you probably would have fun doing 2k on average. You can’t 4k as perkless pig against a death squad swf, but you only play against this people because you camp/tunnel

  • @SuzuKR said:

This is incredibly stupid and abusable.

killers think every survivor is a machine that only want to give the killer a bad time. And 99% of players only want to have a good time and have fun. I can lose, and I don’t have a problem playing again against this killer. But if I’m facecamped at the beggining of the match, I don’t want to play again with this kind of people

  • @Mandy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2755347#Comment_2755347

nope sorry, it was proved a long time ago that this issue happened...when there was a way to block players, and good players struggled to find a game.

And why killers can view the name of the survs and lobby dodge? It’s more difficult to find a match as surv and it doesn’t seem a problem

  • @Mandy said:

Because it would be greatly abused and players who are good would never get a match...

No, that’s wrong. Players who abuse camper and tunneling would wait more time to find a match, but good people will wait less than now

  • @foxsansbox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2755323#Comment_2755323

You're 100% wrong, it is not a valid strategy. If it was BHVR would have given you the tools to avoid them. The only tools they gave you are the ones you have in game to survive.

    Use them.

And that’s why I’m asking here why devs can’t allow us to block people. With the number of people that play this game it shouldn’t be a problem.

  • @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

Killers will tunnel and camp the weak link. Skill issue git gud

But if you tunnel me I don’t want to play with you. Is this a problem for you? Don’t you have other friends?

  • @foxsansbox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/305609/why-don-t-we-can-block-people-to-play-against

Camping and tunneling are legit strategies. You're not getting a get out of jail free button. Learn to play the game.

And me not wanting to play against them it’s a valid strategy too

  • And?? There’s so many players it shouldn’t be a problem. Only 100% fcecampers would be affected

  • @Murgleïs said:

It doesn't matter that you don't like tunneling, slugging, facecamping, proxycamping or bodyblocking. None of these valid strategies used by the killer gives you the right to wish cancer, send death threats, harass, or try to diminish someone self esteem.

These past days, I have been enjoying the following build with my nurse : BBQ, Pain resonance, No way Out, Noed. I have been playing so much Agitation / Starstruck in my nurse career I thought it was time to change my build. The strategy is simple : tunnel someone out and get no way out token to finish off the team in endgame if they are not dead before.

It is actually a good build and less stressful than Agitation / Starstruck because you don't need to keep track of as many variables but the amount of hate I received is unbearable to the point of affecting my mental health, for real. For example, yesterday the survivor team was so mad they insulted my mother (I suppose you can guess what they said about her), wished death to my grandmother (she is actually very sick, even if they have no idea you can imagine how it makes you feel), told me I was the garbage of society then they flood my steam profil with insults and tried to add me friend to send me disgusting pornographic images of male genitals. Yes, all of this because they felt rightful to do so.

When I point this hate to survivors, politely, they always find excuses :

    • The game is -18 therefore it's OK to insult someone you are an adult and you can take it
    • You were toxic first : I stoped counting how many times someone told me "gg wp" is toxic (it's the only thing I say in end chat)
    • You deserve it because you used X or Y strategy

NOBODY DESERVES TO BE TREATED LIKE THAT. THEY ARE NO EXCUSES.

My suggestion to end this hatred is to educate survivors, please create commands in the end game chat such as !tunnel !slug !camp with an automatic message reminding these are valid strategies, and that hate speech / harassment is NOT allowed. I am seriously considering stoping playing DBD for good, I used to have so much fun playing after work and chill. Now I launch the game, stare at the main menu and quit immediately to avoid the odds of getting matched against this kind of survivors.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/CB5AGM6MBTVG/image.png

PS : Sorry for my bad english but I really hope BHVR will read this and address it.

Survs can’t do anything against people like you, and it’s frustrating. Yes, they shouldn’t say these things, but if you want to ruin their time, what do you expect?

  • Monstruos shrine has no counter also

  • @Advorsus said:

So I was a killer main for years since I started playing. Then I started playing survivor, a lot of survivor. And I came to the realization that it's not really that hard. Now I understand that there is a vast difference between solo survivor, and a full swf. So I played both solo and with a full team, and then with a duo. I would play 40+ matches and each time I was actually escaping a majority of the time. Today alone I played 20, escaped 18. One death was I got stuck in between the killer and a window and it wouldn't let me vault, like at all. The second death I missed my decisive at the exit gate. It was rough, but completely my fault.

Now I will say that the playstyles to escape when playing solo vs with a team is also vastly different. More evasion and objective focused, so you kinda have to switch your mind set when playing with solos.

But my point is, when I was playing and I died, it always felt like it was something I did. Like missing a skill check, or not cleansing totems because they might have NOED, or sprint bursting into a wall, or not running a loop properly. They were all my mistakes. Sometimes I trusted in solo teammates when I know I shouldn't have, and made riskier plays because of it. But they were things I could fix. Yes there were some things that were difficult to deal with, strong killers with the best perks and add-ons, camping and slugging killers. But none of it felt like it was something that was impossible to overcome

Now back to the flip side, with killer. I still win most of my matches as killer, playing without camping or tunneling, with not the most meta perks. The ones I lose are usually like, I spent too long on a particular chase because they were my last stack of BBQ or something like that. However, there are times when I lose, but I know I didn't play badly. More so, I just got beat by RNG. Take for instance this evening. I had 5 back to back random Haddonfield matches. 4 of those matches went fine, a bit sweaty on the survivor side, but it was fine. However, the last match I decided to take off pop and put on ruin which I almost never run. Load into the match, I'm complete opposite side of ruin, know they spawned on top of there so I head over. It's destroyed before I can even get close. Chase that survivor, they immediately run into the house of pain, where all but one window is open to where she can get fast vaults from any angle. I chase her for about 20 seconds before I break chase because I don't want to lose too much time on one chase in an infinite loop of windows. As soon as I break chase 3 gens pop. So I'm pretty much in a losing match up where there's not much I can do. No 3 gen, and they all run to an infinite loop anytime I hit them. If I commit to downing one person, which I did because it was the best of the worst options, and then the other gens pop. The other option was pressuring the spread out gens, which would lead to a single hit, them running to the infinite and healing, and then repeating that for much longer just to get the same results.

So what did I do wrong there? Nothing. I was in a losing situation from the get go and it wasn't anything I did. They didn't outplay me, they weren't particular good survivors. But I got hit with extremely bad RNG. The only thing I could think that might change the outcome was not heading towards my totem. But once again, I had no idea that loop would spawn in that manner so, RNG.

And that's the issue with playing killer. That's why it feels so bad to play killer. Never once have I died as a survivor and thought, oh it was because of the totem spawns, or hook spawns, or how the tiles and loops or generators spawned. I've never died because of bad RNG. However killers can be completely hindered by bad RNG. And since you have no control over it, it's not just something that you can improve upon or fix within your own gameplay. Yes, all killers make mistakes in matches, you're never gonna play perfectly. But only with killer is RNG ever really a factor to the point where it can lose you a game before you can play it.

And that's why some, not all, but some killers get so upset. Because you could be robbed of things in a match through no fault of your own.

As survivor I never really felt like I was screwed out of an escape due to RNG. And I never really felt like I was not in control. Playing as survivor I felt like a majority of the time we controlled the entire pacing of the match, and the killer was having to play on their back foot. Like their only option was to snowball and if we stopped their ability to do that even once we pretty much won the match.

I can't say I've felt the reverse side of that when playing killer, but let me know if y'all have.

I played many matches where ruin spawned in a hidden place, and this perk alone won the matches

  • They’re very different perks. B&c is Meta and wglf is a trash perk. But I agree

Ill ask you this, was benefit does that Survivor get for saving their teammate? Sure they might get BP for the save, but theyre risking 5k BP for 2k.

Assuming its a SWF, if theyre playing optimally and making sure the killer gets the least amount of points possible theyre gonna leave that guy on hook. This is shown in tournaments where most of the time a hooked Survivor during Endgame is left to die so the rest have a guaranteed out.

Survs on average are less selfish than Killers, and want other survs to have fun

Well if you want decisive strike to be like in the old days and be able to DS every time a killer picks you up, then sure. The only buff I can think of that wouldn't make it stupid op Is you get DS back if you complete a gen. Still good survivors can flash save and pallet stun u to drop survivors. Just because someone killed you doesn't mean there need to be an instant to the killers. I play mostky killer (cuz no friends). Sure it gets annoying as survivor to get tunneled but it is how it is. DS Is supposed to give you atleast a little bit of Fighting chance against tunnelers and not give you a 10 second head start with no way to track you down. If you are good enough, you won't get caught and there wouldn't be this 20 line rant in the first place. You can always quit the game.

I understand why you don’t have friends

  • Noed. It kills more people than 99% of killers

Either Dead Hard is for I-frames, or it is for distance. Just like when they changed Balanced Landing to only reduce drop stagger when you aren't exhausted.

If it is for distance then remove the I-frames and give survivors a longer shoulder tackle.

If it is for I-frames the distance gained has to be halved so good use is actually rewarded by using the I-frames successfully as an expression of survivor skill.

Having all of this utility in one perk is unnecessary, and defeats the purpose of having 4 perk slots. This one perk literally should be two different perks.

Same with bbq. Bps or aura reading, but not both. Noed also. Faster move or 1 hit
