Why don’t we can block people to play against?
Yes, I know, some people probably would have to wait more time to find a game, but this way campers and tunnelers can okay with other campers and tunnelers playing surv

That nurse is really good. Blocks well now it’s someone else’s problem.
And?? There’s so many players it shouldn’t be a problem. Only 100% fcecampers would be affected
Camping and tunneling are legit strategies. You're not getting a get out of jail free button. Learn to play the game.
And me not wanting to play against them it’s a valid strategy too
Killers will tunnel and camp the weak link. Skill issue git gud
Now I'll just add their name to a public list and everyone as petty as me can block them. Now they have to wait a month to get a game. Oh well they should have made sure I escaped after spending the full 2 min grinding my taint into the ground.
But if you tunnel me I don’t want to play with you. Is this a problem for you? Don’t you have other friends?
You're 100% wrong, it is not a valid strategy. If it was BHVR would have given you the tools to avoid them. The only tools they gave you are the ones you have in game to survive.
Use them.
Yes, it's a problem. If Survivors blocked every Killer who killed them, you wouldn't have a game anymore
Because it would be greatly abused and players who are good would never get a match...
And that’s why I’m asking here why devs can’t allow us to block people. With the number of people that play this game it shouldn’t be a problem.
The issue is your lack of critical thinking, but I don't need to harp on you anymore. Mandy explained the obvious.
No, that’s wrong. Players who abuse camper and tunneling would wait more time to find a match, but good people will wait less than now
nope sorry, it was proved a long time ago that this issue happened...when there was a way to block players, and good players struggled to find a game.
And why killers can view the name of the survs and lobby dodge? It’s more difficult to find a match as surv and it doesn’t seem a problem
This is incredibly stupid and abusable.
The good Killers are the ones that tunnel and camp or are playing Nurse/Blight/Spirit. Every other Killer needs to camp or tunnel against good Survivors
killers think every survivor is a machine that only want to give the killer a bad time. And 99% of players only want to have a good time and have fun. I can lose, and I don’t have a problem playing again against this killer. But if I’m facecamped at the beggining of the match, I don’t want to play again with this kind of people
It isn't "more difficult" to find a match. It's still 1 button press either way. The queues for survivor are definitely getting longer, but that is due to how few killer players there are compared to survivors, so you blocking killers would actually increase the time you end up waiting for a match, as the pool of killers available to play with would shrink.
Only because you want the 4k. If you play fair, you probably would have fun doing 2k on average. You can’t 4k as perkless pig against a death squad swf, but you only play against this people because you camp/tunnel
That's a lot of assumptions to make about someone who you don't know. Should we also assume that you just want the 4E every game and want to block killers who have the audacity to not let you go?
I prefer to wait 5 min more and play against a fair killer. And probably 99% of survs
It is a truly wonderful thing that not a soul in this community is required to subscribe to your definition of 'fair'.
I never escape against fair killers, so no, I don’t want 4 escapes every game
"Fair"
That's a fun word to use here. That would imply you believe any playstyle you don't like to be unfair. Personally I like facing killers that try their best and use every tool available, including defending objectives (even hooks) and tunneling out strong survivors (being chased is the most fun part of the survivor experience, so I personally appreciate a killer who wants to chase me whenever they see me)
Those are in the game and not against the rules, so it's fair.
Right? Those would be some boring ass gen repair simulator matches to play.
Well, you don’t block them and you would find these kind of people and you’ll wait less time
Unless I'm put on your team, and then the game has to look through the long list of killers who hurt your feelings by trying to win.
Yes, I want the 4k, I like winning. Playing fair means playing within the game's rules, which I am doing. I'm not being a script kiddie or abusing bugs and glitches, so I am playing fair, even if I am tunneling and camping, since playing smart/efficiently isn't agaisnt the game's rules
bur in real life I won’t play with these people, I don’t like them. I don’t know why you can’t understand it, but probably this forum should be about 95% campers killers
Well considering how everyone on these forums only goes against 4men sweat toxic squads who teabag and click click on every game, killers would never find a match again since they'd have to block everyone they go against.
Same for survivors who are camped and tunneled every match, or you could just block people playing killers you dont like going against.
That would never work.
All the old "nobody likes my half-thought out idea, so they must all be camping killer mains" probably my favorite DbD specific logical fallacy.
But hey, let's use a real world example to see if that helps you understand.
Let's say you are part of a small amateur football league. Now, one team has a player who every time you play, is able to slide tackle the ball right from under your feet, and bypass your goalie like he isn't there. Every time you face them you lose, because they play a lot more aggressively than your club does, and keep you on your heels.
Here you are saying that you shouldn't have to ever face that team, because losing to them makes you sad. They're playing the same game, by the rules established, but you don't like it, so you believe it should be changed. Meanwhile your goalie relishes the challenge, because he knows facing this club makes him that much better each time. The rest of the team may agree with the goalie, but you want to force them to play against only the opponents you like, regardless.
Man played against really good killers and now I blocked them! Time to play against killers that are constantly worse than me.
Well, as killer you can avoid it, because you see the names. You only can’t avoid it as surv
If the player base was 100 people probably. But there’s a lot of player, it should affect wait times. And I don’t want these kind of people don’t find matches, I only don’t want to play with them
Well you're lucky to get matches in general with the declining killer playerbase.
Yes, the one person who is on a team of one person... You still don't see the difference?
You could make it limited. you can block 3~5 players max. it help to block hackers too.
So I can block console player base or I can lobby dodge as killer but I can’t block as surv a killer I don’t want to play against
@dictep
I agree with you. You have the right to dodge players who you think they ruining your enjoyment.
Either they should add your idea. or they let survivors see killer name and profile.
Just pointing out the juxtaposition of username and comment made me giggle.
Guys please..... mandy is right. I also know there was a way to block players back then. Good players then had the absolute aftermath. It's just like the DC penalties. You can see the difference immediately and many players come up with the craziest excuses and explanations even though they know full well they are abusing the system.
Well, ley me see the killer steam profile. If he is a good killer no one will complain, but if he is a facecamper I can at least lobby dodge. I don’t know why people think as surv I must play against a person I dislike and as killer I can lobby dodge because I can see their profile
A community mod that works for BHVR answered your question of why blocking players doesn’t work. Why keep going with this topic? They will never and should never allow players to block people.
Don’t write anything if you don’t want to. Easy
Overwatch had the same system and the same problem. And people still, to this day, over 5 years later, ask for it to return because their cheeks get clapped.
If you spent more time learning to play against camping and tunneling, you would be better at the game. Instead you just want to avoid challenging matches for the sake of not having to lose.
LMAO introduce this and in ONE DAY you would have tens of thousands of players now incompatible with each other.
How to kill off DBD 101.
I have 4.700 hours as surv. I know how to play against campers, but I always play solo
Just do it like Overwatch. You can avoid a max of 3 players, if you want to avoid a 4th you need to "unavoid" one of the 3 you previously avoided.
