I see noed like keys as basekit for survs. It would be only 1 escape

If a killer camp and tunnel the game kick him off and replace him with a bot

I don't personally think NOED is unfair by any means. Could it use maybe a tweak of some sort? I guess? But I feel it kind of does anything I would ask for. It lets you know when it is active (granted after someone is hit) and you have an opportunity to avoid it. The argument some of my friends I play with will say is that the killer gets a free kill or two while they were bad the whole game. But, to counter that, I always let them know that if the killer was so bad, why did you get downed?
Because he is more faster with noed?

Most people here do play both equally. Also, giving an entire extra life for a hook state is insanely abusable. Let alone paused/stopped hook timer or guaranteed self-unhook. BHVR has explicitly tested anti-camping/anti-tunneling ideas before like these and had to scrap them BECAUSE they were abusable.
Yes, because camper is no abusable

Yesterday I played against a killer that made 0 hooks before EGC. Logically, he had noed, no other way he could play against 4.000 hours survs. At the end, 2 kills. A totally fine perk, yes

Hot Take.... having 10 gen slow down perks doesn't make the game balanced. If a killer needs those perks to balance the game at high level then the game is not balanced.
Lets remove the gen slow down perks and balance gen speeds instead of making bandaids killers need to have :)
Agreed , if they remove camping, tunneling and slugging, so we can use 3 new perks

Nah, I probably wouldn't use BBQ if it didn't have the BP boost. I feel like its popularity would shrink at least 50% of it didn't have it.
With that being said the most popular killer perk appears in 57.5% of matches whereas the most popular survivor perk appeared in 86% of matches. That being Deadhard.
That’s not true. You could see dh in a match 86% of times, but there are 4 survs. This is the same as say killers kills in 95% or more matches (1,2,3 or 4k), so they deserved a massive nerf
-
4 red rank survs with 4000 hours each and a grey killer with 100 hours= noed
-
I only see survs dc when the Killer camp/tunnel. If I see a killer tunnel or camp at the beginning when he kills the first surv I run to him and point to the hook, and I kill myself. I don’t want to play with this kind of people. If he wants an easy game, I give it to him
-
@BubbaDredge said:
How can survivors enjoy slamming gens and escaping? Don't they get bored of not interacting with the killer until they're at the exit?
Tunneling isn't that big a commitment, you see a guy that was just hooked and now he's healing under the hook like an idiot, you chase him. How do you think that's not fun?
What you mean is, you need the game to be easier because you're a crybaby. What do you do in-game to make the game more fun for killers? I'll wait.
I don’t let a fair killer get 0k. I always let him kill me at the end.
-
@ryzen0849 said:
I'm confused. I thought gen simulator was boring for survivors and that the chase was the best part. Tunneling is getting chased, but it's not fun?
And chasing is the best part for killers too. So devs should give survs old MoM base kit

OH and btw yeah he teleported through the wall when i first downed him.
Then bubba need to be nerfed because he can facecamp a surv and nobody can do anything

Here is my experience if anyone cares.
I played 2 games of Clown (first was a daily the second was a kick gen challange).
Game 1: 4k - was a pretty chilled game and was also a normal 12 hook game but I made use of smart zonings, I kept at the endgame the survivors at a dead zone and kept hooking there till I got all.
Game 2: 2k - nothing really special was a fun and nice game but the 2 who escaped complained that I "camped".
Then I played only Nemesis my baby, 14 games
The first 3 games where all 4ks against pretty bad survivors, I gave them on purpose chances to unhook and stretched the game by slugging some last hook ppl and let then chased other ppl so everyone got easily over 20k points (without event points).
Then it started again slowly again, I got more and more sweaty survivors. Game 4-5 went okey with 2-3 kills again nothing that special.
I reached now 18:00 (GMT 2+ germany time) and I got then my beloved super sweat squads.
Last games where all either 1-2 VERY close kills but only with 2-3 hooks cuz they all died on first hook at the endgame and they let the ppl die and just left. The majority of the last games where just 0ks since I didnt really used super strong loadouts, I was just trying around with Iri umbrella badge and coupe de grace.
The survivors ofc insulted me very harshly in the endgame chat for beeing a ######### player, I should go kill myself and have no worth in my life. That I am a miserable piece of ######### and they worte in profile that I need a therapist for beeing that retardet.
*Edit: It wasnt just one game, I kept getting insulted for beeing bad however I was obviously playing Nemesis, he is quiete strong in a 1v1 but really bad at keeping pressure on everyone so if you manage to play coordinated you will beat a nemesis pretty easily and they obviously know that however they try to get under my skin by calling me bad.
Now I am done with Killer again since I keep getting since now only super sweaty teams with full meta loadouts that just rush the gens as fast as possible and let ppl die IF I manage to get someone later, the games are mostly just 1-2 hook games with barely any fun or points. I can also not really do my challenges since I dont get to do them with 5-7min games. They all do play very good and save, they always go on very far distances and make use out of anything possible, they also bring the strongest items possible like purple med kits with syrenges and styptics or often brand new parts.
My point here is that facing those teams is a clear loss and there is nothing you can do against that if you also dont bring your strongest. I dont want to play Blight or nurse with op addons and moris, I just want to play for the event and challenges but still get matched with ppl like this. If its MMRs fault or not doesnt matter, BHVR should finally find a way to seperate super sweaty players from ppl who just want to play for fun.
Also even though this isnt really direct prove or anything but I am pretty sure many ppl have similar experiences like that if they dont play full on sweaty for kills. This is a big reason WHY there are only blight or nurses out there that are playing 4 anti gen, if you dare to play a lower tier killer just 4 fun you will meet 50% of the games sweaty survivors making use out of that and trying to bully you for that.
Well, your point could be if survs don’t play swf you 3-4k on average and killers deserve a nerf

Why is chasing a survivor considered tunnelling? I mean i dont single out one player but my job is to kill. If i focus on one until i down them is that considered tunnelling or focusing. I down them, hook, move on to nearest player, chase, down, hook.am i supposed to run away from survivors after a 10 second chase?
If you feel better you could tunnel, but yes, it’s tunneling

Its not a problem at all though, and multiple counterplays have been provided. You know how to fix it? survivors let go of the damn gen and do literally anything else (including another gen) for 45 seconds or less. What a horrifying concept.
Actually, you know what? lets remove Legion's iri pin, and Spirits Prayer Beads as well. Survivors might think the killer is nearby and let go of the gen which would be the end of the world apparently.
Same as boil over. You can’t hook someone, find other survivors or do anything else

I think CoH is not issue. It never was. I mean it made game worse for killers yeah but CoH was not never biggest issue of this game. Maps are sooooooooo unbalanced. Chases are takes so long. CoH just makes this worse. I wish they would balance this stupid maps first but they are always going for perks.
What do you want?? Always 15 secs chases? Then devs would need to allow a blight plying against another 4 killers

I still don't want to play killer anymore, I've stopped a few months ago, but unfortunately, the tomes rarely have a path that allow you to progress through its levels purely playing survivor, so I played some killer games again, and got a taste of why I stopped in the first place.
I had a Dwight on the hook during endgame collapse. He got unhooked by the survivor I knew had borrowed time, so I countered by waiting 20 seconds to hit Dwight, the gate was far enough away for that. When BT ran out, he used DH in the gate, since I positioned myself ahead of him, he dead-harded away from the entity spikes, allowing me to down him and pick him up before he could reach the escape threshold. He then used DS and escaped.
What should I have done here? They told me afterwards that with the right counters, their perks are perfectly fine. What counters are there? This was the epitome of "#########, I screwed, but let's press this button to reverse my mistake, so the killer can't win".
He was unhooked unsafely --> Borrowed Time fixed that.
I waited out his Borrowed Time --> Dead Hard fixed that.
I screwed up his Dead Hard --> Decisive Strike fixed that.
I got 3 second chance perks shoved in my face back-to-back and some people still defend this bullshit as being fair? I did everything right here and I was still punished for it. This stuff leaves an extremely sour aftertaste. I don't feel outplayed or outmatched in skill when the survivor skill is basically: press a button to fix your mistakes.
What should do a surv if you hook him at egc and facecamp him?

Are you psychic? Can you see the future? Because the change has not happened yet, so I'm wondering how you can say 'It's like this' as if this has happened enough to be a trend. 🤔
Sure you pick a surv, see the perk icon and you walk 10-15 secs before the drop

Let's say This is your wriggle progress:
>>>>>>
Then the Killer drops from a great height, so 33% of THAT bar would be added onto itself:
>>>>>>>>>
(The bold is what you get added from the fall)
The amount you get, of course, changes based on how much you wriggled before the fall.
But 99 % of times is much like this...
>>______________
and with boil over...
>>______________
the same, perhaps 0.33% to 1%

RPD, The Game, Coldwind, Asylum, Swamp, Lery's, Forest, Springwood, Ormond, and Dead Dawg though. This perk all has areas Killers are forced to drop down to reach hooks, that Boil Over takes advantage of. Even the other realms on some of their maps too.
You use perks to take advantages

How is the perk dead? I know I’ve personally lost a few hooks to the increased stagger.
because killers always drop when they catch you, they don’t wait 5-10 secs so you could use the perk. And also they would know you have it. I can ensure you’ve you won’t see 1 boil over in the entire year if not used for adept

Cool, so when can killers expect to gain the ability to stop ds from being activated in the match by the simple act of interacting with 5 items on a map?
Oh wait, that's not happening, no survivor perks work like that, and noed is just a terrible perk to try and use for an analogy.
I keep asking, but none of y'all will answer, what do you believe the correct amount of totems to remove would be to stop 1 of 4 killer perks from ever being able to activate in the match? To me, that's a pretty significant advantage you gain, as there are no other perks that can be removed before they provide any benefit.
Yes you can remove ds, bt and ub
-
It’s a trash perk. But it’s the only perk you have against tunnelers, so you have to use it. Imagine if jolt were the only gen perk for killers, it would be meta
-
@foxsansbox said:
I have a massive list of grievances, but these are the top 5 that I would do that I feel would shake up the meta in a really nice way:
- Make survivors the BP breadwinners so that killers can be balanced as the power role
- Nerf (or remove) all second chance perks, on both sides, and buff the duration of all aura reading perks so they can be used to assist in looping mindgames and objective prioritization
- Raise the height of all tall-wall tilesets by 35% to combat stretch Res
- Increase the penalty for a killer missing his attack by a factor proportional to the reduction of a survivors speed boost upon losing a health state (Combats excessive bodyblocking, prevents the second health state from always being guarenteed to play out at the strongest tile set, and this reduction would allow them to consider things like BT basekit because it would no longer be a get out of jail free card no matter who the killer chose)
- Remove Bloodlust and increase the speed of all killers by 2%
Lets make decisions have consequences and looping an actual skill instead of a game of whack-a-mole with pallets.
Why not 3 survs start the match hooked?

The fact that killer players are responsible for most of the feedback/suggestions/complaints regarding this game doesn't indicate that there might be a design problem?
No. It’s because survs play together and killer come here and they think they belong to something bigger thank them.
try to write something from the surv pov and you’ll see hordes of killers writing against you . This is how this forum is now

You don't need to do gens to have fun.
See, players thinking they can decide what's 'fun', and then thinking they can ENFORCE what they think is 'fun' is part of the problem with DBD.
It's what gave rise to that Survivor Rulebook For Killers meme, after all; Survivors deciding they could put their 'fun' above the Killer's agency to play how they want.
i wasn’t taking to you, thx

I've been thinking about the way Gen regression are lately and have found a huge design flaw imo and it's the fact that they design them as if they are going to be used with other regression perks. This leads to single regression perks been practically useless aside from ruin which you still normal run in a combo. The next problem is that you can run multiple Gen regression perks so they have to be balanced as if they are going to be. Then you have the 4 perk limit which means that in most cases you have to dedicate half your build to have decent Gen regression. Behavior said they had no plans to limit perks but if we aren't getting any base regression I think they should limit Gen regression to 1 perk and balance them accordingly.
Well, pop alone could give 240 secs regress. Probably killers want 2.400, but I think it’s ok now
