Honestly that looks way more significant than I was imagining. Looks like stuns are going to be highly prized.
They already are even though they're easy to do with the survivor-favored servers.
-
Killers who are toxic clearly had a very easy game, and I know this because I play killer all the time and it's never easy, so I just let them have their fun. They'll get destroyed by a SWF next match.

Having auto-aim at all.
If the killer loses me and can't track me while swinging, they shouldn't get rewarded with a hit. especially Nurses
To be fair, survivor hitboxes/killer attack area is BS. I've never seen a game where you have to be so precise just to land a melee attack on someone right in front of you.

It works but not like it's better than other perks in most case.
It is better than a lot of perks. Pretty much mandatory on killers who are M1 in chase.

the charge isnt a problem but the projectile travel time is bad
Yeah you have to run Discipline Carter's Notes to fix his charge time. Otherwise he's way too sluggish.

STBfL won't see a huge increase in usage. A lot of killers still don't have much benefit for running it.
Every killer gets usage from it except maybe the chainsaw killers and Nurse.
-
The latency destroys his power, because you have to pre-emptively shock always, which gives the survivors more running time because you're forced to do it early.
-
Auto aim hitting pallets/walls instead of the survivors.
-
She'll never be meta again. Now at least she can hear a survivor at 50% sound IF they're using Iron Will and she's using Stridor, or 25% if they're injured. You may see more Spirits not having to use Cherry Blossom to find survivors in phase.

I would like to safely be able to lunge again.

If youre constantly trying to curve some one, sprint to a location where no one is, missing your hits, all of these are misusing your power.
This isnt something unique to Billy either, 2 killers hes compared quite a bit is Oni and Blight, 2 killers who also get punished for misusing their power.
That's a can of worms you don't want to open. You can justify just about anything as "misusing" your power. Deathslinger gets rewarded for misusing his power by shooting healthy survivors through holes to break the chain and injure them. Huntress gets rewarded for misusing her power by the survivors having to dodge which loses them distance. Trapper gets punished for misusing his traps by placing them in obvious spots which survivors disarm.
-
Myers can instadown multiple people, vault faster, and lunge further all off of 1 Tier 3 pop. Ghost Face can get revealed by people on the ground and on the hook, which takes away his power to Expose 1 survivor.

Correct.
They could have been decimated.
X to doubt.

Cause it was a wanted to change to those "i just rev my chainsaw all the time at all loops, cause nothing stops me from having a braindead time"-players. You just cant braindead play him anymore, thats what this change did. nothing more.
But he did slow down from revving his chainsaw, so people who play him well wouldn't be doing that all the time, only at times where it would lead to them getting the survivor. Revving your chainsaw all the time around the whole loop, or braindead as you call it, is what noobs would do, and they would not get rewarded by playing like that except against other noobs.

Revert the nerf and watch that not happen.

Todays basekit and the old basekit are nearly identical, only thing the old basekit did was not punish you for misusing your power
But define "misusing" your power.

There were a lot of very poor decisions made by the Wraith player.
Those Survivors weren't very good either, they made a ton of poor plays.
Which they got away with.

Most likely some cheating involved. Too many times where the timing and placement of the flashlighter was perfect.

so many players will slug to find the last one it's weird to me, even streamers do it, your life isn't ending if someone get hatch just hook
They'd rather spend a minute or two looking for them than give up a free kill/bp.

Nah he is bad. If he puts snare? Go to next loop. If he puts a pallet? Use your brain. If he is approaching you? Make a failed skill check to completely remove his power or even use a clock if you are close. The fact that even against Pre nerf Freddy people were can do this simple tricks. Pre nerf Freddy wasnt even good and now he is D tier at best. An extremely overrated killer got nerfed to D tier thanks to survivors who cant counter this guy and complained at forums.
Thank you!

Teleporting back into the pallet drop animation absolutely still exists.

Play on PC, to start.

I always see him in D teir on most teir list and people saying he's really bad. He deffinatly is not bad, it's just that he is really boring . Before he got nerfed he was a go to killer to grind up to rank 1 and now he is a little worse but he plays much smoother than he used too. Freddy is very good in many categories and is mid B teir. True he is boring, but a very strong killer
Every time someone brings up Freddy they do him dirty. Here's the truth: Freddy has never been boring. Original Freddy was trash. Pre-nerf Freddy was almost perfectly balanced. Post-nerf Freddy is trash. This is all observable.

no clue
it also reduces token recharge rate and is bugged so you move slower than survivors run at the start of a sweep
amazingly designed add-ons as to be expected from bhvr lol
When are they gonna fix that bug? It's been like that literally since his rework, correct?

@Adaez said:
It just needed to be bigger.
Add 1 or 2 more corridors and it becomes a pretty balanced map if survivors play it good.
It was a bad map for killer. Literally just play with survivors who knew how to run it. God pallets, long loops, easy map splits, unpatrollable exit gates, etc.

The new system is ultimately disappointing. A few points
- The 50,000 bp cost to prestige is really not good. Maybe it'll be removed?
- They definitely reduced the perk grind for long-time players who play lots of characters, but...then they also removed the bonus BBQ and WGLF bloodpoints, which many of us considered mandatory given the insane grind. That change alone will undercut much of the benefit of the new system. It would be completely fine to make the BBQ and WGLF bloodpoint bonuses basekit or just give x2 bloodpoints all the time. Some kind of base bp bonus like that would be helpful and not excessive AT ALL.
- For brand-new players or even players with 100-200 hours, the grind to get the specific perks you actually want will still be monumental. I'm not yet clear whether the updated Shrine of Secrets will help with this.
In the bloodweb it should be 1000 bp for browns, and 1000 more for each rarity. Instead of the stupid thing that it is, which is starting the cheapest thing at 3000.

Why? Freddy is pretty terrible at the current moment in the game. If people want the magic bullet of high performance at the skill floor, they'll probably go to Bubba.
Wraith is easy to play and performs well in low skill brackets. He's got a low skill ceiling and terrible in high skill lobbies. There's not much to say.
If annoying players are your problem, you're correct that they'd all move somewhere else and removing a killer solves nothing (ergo, why would you ever do that.)
He's not easy to play against survivors who know how to play against him. That's why he does well at lower MMR, because they don't know how to play against him.

@Kaitsja said:
Yes, because technically with the basekit change it's 22.5%, so you only lost 2.5% from Pop.
I'd rather lose nothing.

How do y'all get Nurses all the time? I almost never see her.
-
I wanted to see the NOED stats for a different reason: to figure out what justified the nerf.
-
Self-Care nerf. That's all I gotta say.
-
I've said that it should work for both hook stages, not just one. I'm not saying that wouldn't be too strong or not strong enough, but we don't know for sure until we try it.
-
It's any killer.
-
...So nothing's changed?
-
I think most "unsafe" pallets are more safe than most people give them credit for. Try chasing at one of those basic junk pile loops on Macmillan or Autohaven as an M1 killer, and watch how often you have to get to Bloodlust 2 or 3 to catch the survivor if you don't break the pallet. That way there's no room for misinterpretation or exaggeration.
-
Why do we have to equip the challenge to make progress on it? We've been saying this for 2 years.
-
They claim that they "can't even play the game" but I'm sure that a recovery from the ground in most of those matches and getting away is possible, assuming the killer isn't just staring at them on the ground or their teammates refusing to pick them up.
-
Fair point.
-
"Prestigate".

We're gonna be conditioned to wait out Dead Hard even after it gets changed, kind of like how we were conditioned to beware the good old double Adrenaline prock.

It hits the highest gen that isn't blocked. It only gets wasted if every unblocked gen is at 0.
I thought Surge was supposed to apply the regression even while it's blocked, or at least make it start regressing once it becomes unblocked. That's one reason why I was disappointed that Pain Res and Deadlock didn't work together.
-
He moves slower than Nurse when leaving behind the remnant. You can either bait his tp or hold forward.

like it pops them?
If the gen is blocked, Pain Resonance won't hit them at all. I don't know if it then goes to the next furthest along gen or if it just gets wasted.
-
I've never understood hoarding either. It's not like real life currency or goods. There's no point in not using them. I've seen people go in without items, denying themselves a straight up advantage, for the purpose of hoarding. I've seen people go in without offerings, denying themselves and advantage or extra bp. If you've got it, use it.

SOOOOOO I just experienced the new gen regression meta.... yeah deadlock deadmans switch and pain res with bbq yeah its nasty, sweaty and is just way too oppresive for casual players like me. SO for everyone who hates this... I understand now.
Pain Resonance ignores blocked gens.
