"That's too strong! My chase only lasted a minute!"

Funny thing is, I didn't even remember Deadhard was nerfed. I was too busy being upset that 99% of reworked perks are absolute dumpster trash useless F tier
"Pharmacy" OmegaLOL
Pharmacy is decent. Now you can get multiple green medkits. Of course, you could just bring one of your own instead.

It is still survivor sided unless you play a strong killer which isn't screwed over by survivors holding W and pre-dropping pallets at every pallet they run to aka Nurse which is why they want her nerfed so badly.
Every time I play crappy weak killers the survivors just pre-drop and you still can't catch them with bloodlust because it takes too long to kick in and in that time they can just leave the loop and go to another pallet.
Couldn't do anything as Sadako on coal tower due to this.
We still have pallets that you can't get survivors at, even with Bloodlust 3. That's an issue that has, once again, gone overlooked.

Play Pig and see why.

And funnily enough responding to people on the forums while doing a gen still doesn't fix the issue that gens are ######### boring
Most people who say gens are too boring don't want a second objective, the only logical solution here, because then that will take too much time. They already complain about 10-second longer gens, so it's out of the question I guess.

Not for every killer.

Wait wait wait. So what you're telling people is, that you can "Abuse" a perk that is intended for anti tunneling, which would also imply said killer is trying to tunnel. Wild
You know what I meant.

But there is a yes way that a killer player can constantly getting 4k against the best players, with 4 slowdown and tunneling.
The OP was playing nice.
No. Not against the best players.

Because everyone who doesn't have a SWF is switching to killer now because solo queue survivor isn't playable anymore so theres way more killers than survivors
Maybe I'll play some solo. It's been a while.

So when someone camp or tunnels you, give them kill?
What about BHVR fix this issue after these killer buffs? They did not adress survivor issues at all.
That's actually exactly what solos do. Haven't you noticed?

Nope. I just know that I have a 100 % kill rate since the patch. Some things are a bit too strong

sounds like you have a big skill issue if you get dunked on the new patch while using slow down perks on top of it.
May I remind you the maps that are still in the game: The Game, Haddonfield, farm maps, Badham, Garden Of Joy, Ormond, Springwood maps, etc. You try playing someone other than Nurse or Blight on those maps, even with slowdown, against good survivors.

tbh I've seen many posts already of Survivors threatening to quit the game or switch over to Killer. The Killer queue times are also ridiculously high at the moment, which is new to me.
That's what puzzles me. Why are survivor times instant and killer times so long?
-
Look, Off The Record is gonna be strong simply because of how long it lasts. Unlike BT and Guardian which are strictly anti-tunnel because they last no more than 15-20 seconds, Off The Record is a win-more perk. You can get unhooked, have a teammate heal you, 60 seconds later you body block for a teammate about to go down, and then you take another hit. That's a health state that you basically got for free, and in SWF that can be used to devastating effect. If it didn't deactivate in endgame, every survivor would be running it.
-
It's funny that survivors have all these tools to make gens go quicker like toolboxes, Prove Thyself, Deja Vu, Overzealous, Resilience, but nobody's using them. Maybe that's why your gens "never" get done, and the games are "easy." Trust me, I've played Demogorgon against good survivors WITH slowdown, and they had no problem getting gens done and people out. You still have to tunnel to win with him.
-
It's anti-tunnel and more. Now, it just isn't a free escape in endgame. You can still abuse it in a match with Off The Record and exhaustion perks and all of that to basically run at the killer and say, "Come get me" and they'll be punished for downing you within 60 seconds, even after they've hooked someone else.

It was a bad perk already, aside from the EGC usage. Now that has been removed, and it got an additional nerf on top to ensure you really don't want to ever pick it up. It now not only requires extensive cooperation from the killer to function, but when it does function, it's way, way worse than it used to be.
Where do they find you guys? Pre-nerf DS was a bad perk?
-
If they are survivor mains that switched to killer, they probably are playing like that. They will start failing once they get to high or mid MMR. But I am doubtful that killers get a small buff, and then all of a sudden people completely role switch to them.
-
When it comes to matchmaking issues, killer games are never an issue for me. I go against teams I can't beat, but that has more to do with the game being imbalanced, not that the survivors are so much higher caliber than me.
But for solo survivor, that is the way of playing this game that has always been problematic because of the matchmaking. I'm going into matches with teammates who don't touch a gen until at least a minute in, even when they spawned on one. Their perks usually feature stuff like Urban Evasion, Plunderer's, Self-Care, just all the hallmarks of noon builds, instead of anything resembling meta. They can't loop, they can't do gens, and assuming we make it to endgame, they give the killer free kills. Sometimes you won't have teammates like this, but a lot of the time you will, even if you technically should be at high MMR because you're escaping a bunch. It feels like completely random matchmaking.

I see a difference. I just don't think i lost because of communication. I think I lost because SWF can put together 4 juicers
You can put whoever you want together. Cope, cru5h, ayrun, JRM, team Oracle..whoever you've heard of. They're going to be solid and juice you. With or without communication. The communication isn't going to be why you lose to them.
Oh so, "Body block me, I'm at main building! My Balanced is almost back! I'm gonna run past this locker, so Head-On the killer!" just doesn't mean anything? Solos could pull it off in the exact same way?
-
@BrokenSouI said:

If you were losing that much as blight with slowdowns against pubs. That's pretty telling of your skill with blight lol
Not exactly.
-
So you're still Blight.
-
@BrokenSouI said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3078309#Comment_3078309
Yea, no. Communication was never the issue. That's just a cope for killers who need to get better. Communication doesn't mean ######### if you're getting downs at a good pace.
They need to revert DS stun to 5 seconds. Gens should probably be back to 80 seconds. STBFL needs adjusted to compensate for the new chase changes.
How do you not see a difference with SWF?
-
So those are probably getting nerfed, calling it now.

nurse, probably not exactly meta. Lethal, BBQ, Floods; PR but pretty fun neverthless. Does that change anything?
It's Nurse, bro. Of course it skews the results. The game is still not balanced for Ghost Face, Pig, or Clown to win even if the survivors are just decent. So when they're actually good, it's impossible to win unless you're Nurse or Blight. Not much has changed except the bad matchmaking.

Twins is a good killer now? Thought you guys were always saying they were bad.
Twins is bad in the way that Leatherface is bad. You can't win with them playing normally. They only excel at camping and slugging. However, Twins has map mobility, and the refined builds featuring Forced Penance have raised their power level. Console controls also affect my perception of killer strength, because the constricted fov feels that much worse.
-
I did say the perk was fine as is.
-
Were you also former "best survivor in world"?
-
@Dead_Harder said:
My dude i havent lost a game so far after the patch. Its not ok. I started taking it easy on survivors and letting them go because i am genuinely starting to feel bad.
Right, were those games with Trapper, Ghost Face, or Onryo, or were they with Twins, Blight, Nurse with meta builds?
-
Teamwork is the big thing. Games where I've run Botany to heal others quickly have gone dramatically better. Games where I brought Off The Record to body block for others went south only because my teammates wouldn't look behind them, and sandbagged me with pallets while I was blocking the killer for them. There's no accountability for terrible teammates; just complaints about how OP killer is.
-
Mass hysteria.
-
The bp incentives will fix the queue times. The population that leaves is very much welcome to.
-
Solo only gets good when you make it to high MMR, where teammates are actually efficient and run strong perks. Plenty of us are more than capable of reaching there when unimpeded by awful/selfish teammates. The problem is that all we seem to get no matter how often we escape is awful/selfish teammates. And when you get dragged down to MMR hell like that, all you begin to focus on is making sure you personally escape. That perpetuates the cycle of people making bad plays which causes their teammates to die, because they're so concerned for the enjoyment of their future games, that they don't care about anyone's enjoyment in their current game. Even if you wanted to be altruistic and save people, you can't take the risk, because more than likely your great plays are going to go to waste, because you got matched with an uncarryable team. So you become what you hate most: a Blendette with Urban Evasion, Sprint Burst, Left Behind, and a key. This is what happens when MMR is based solely off of kills and escapes.
-
It's still not easy for all killers, as you say. The problem is that the randoms you get matched with in solo and SWF are awful, which skews the results massively, making it seem like killer is OP. We are on repeat every day with this.
-
Off The Record, as expected. Botany Knowledge is pretty good as well, even though it reduces your medkit charges. Streetwise can be pretty good, as it offsets Botany's efficiency penalty, and can be combo'd with Built To Last and a Commodious Toolbox/charge add-ons to make the toolbox build that I may or may not have come up with. DS should still be meta as well because you can taunt the killer with it, since them chasing and hooking you again requires them to get stunned, and probably also deal with 2-3 health states just because of Off The Record. I expect there to be experimentation with endgame perks other than Adrenaline, like Hope and No One Left Behind.
Thanataphobia seems pretty popular. With kicking gens being more worth it and Pain Res losing its information, Surveillance has a chance to become meta again. Because people are more confident with killer because of the basic attack/sprint burst qol changes, there's less Blights and Nurses, because people for the first time feel that they can actually win with Demogorgon, Clown, Doctor, etc. Darkness revealed and Dissolution have a new chance to be tested to see if they could possibly be meta. And of course Call Of Brine/Overcharge is very popular.

@Card_Eater said:
It used to feel like a struggle to get 4k and I would sweat my ass off. It was really nice being able to relish a win that I barely got.
Now, Killer feels like easy mode. A lot of the challenge isn't there anymore, and I do not need to put the same effort in that I used to. I seriously have played 2 hours of killer today, and not once did I get anything less than a 4k (barring the survivors I gave hatch to, ofc).
Oh come on.
-
It does feel good.
-
The only complaint I had about it was that it didn't let me use pre-nerf Dead Hard for SO LONG after I landed. Otherwise, there's nothing wrong with this stagger. Killer should be faster than survivor.
-
I play him a bit. It's just annoying how slow his teleport is sometimes.

And from all of this you are complaining about Exponential? The worst Boon-Perk in the game?
I thought people said Dark Theory was the worst? Exponential sure as heck isn't.
-
Yeah those survivors never would have been able to beat these killers without the 100% regression nerf AND it deactivating after someone dies. Maybe a new strat will be to ######### on purpose near the end of the game when you're on death hook so that the killer loses their Ruin, which is probably all the gen defense they have at that point.

Wait, it shuts off if you hook someone now? Rofl... What?
But yeah, as a killer main not playing against bottom survivors, I too noticed it gets cleansed in the first minute. I stopped using it long ago.
After someone gets killed it deactivates. So LITERALLY PUNISHED FOR KILLING.
-
Don't finish your deep wound mend until you know the Legion is out of their rush. Otherwise, they get another hit on you for no reason.
-
Yeah, his add-ons are the worst in the world. Cannot believe they made it to live. Then again, this is the model strength of add-on that most people these days are asking for, not even exaggerating.
-
This is devil's advocate on so many levels.
We want some form of decent gens slowdown. We want games to last longer so they're not a gen rush fest. We want perks that reward killers for injuring multiple people to work, so that they go for multiple chases instead of camp and tunnel. It's not a terrible idea to have a perk that only works for certain killers, like Spirit and Stridor or like Huntress and Bitter Murmur. Thana is mostly good on Legion and Twins, who will not be seen at top level anyway. So what's the big idea?
-
It's useless on all killers because you lose it as soon as you down someone.
