For me, this SBMM has just removed all the fun in the game, when i play killer the match last around 6-7 minutes, and all escape unless i play nurse, but i don’t only wanna play nurse. If i play survivor it against Nurse,Spirit and Blight and that is just too boring … so i gotta say when this comes in it’s proberly gonna be goodbye, and say it was a fun 6000 hour ride …

You have played for 6000 hrs?

  • If teammates Dc is about the only way but it would have to be more than one who DC. Hatch you have to earn now and most of time I will slug the 3rd to get the 4th. I used to play 100% by the made up bullshit called the survivor rule book. That has stopped for many reasons like if a survivor is going to win a switch flips and they become ######### about it like they just have too. Most survivors (unless I am playing survivor) know to split up on gens and butt ######### the ######### out them....So no time for rule book play. Last but not last in my entire time playing I have seen 1 survivor give me a mercy sacrifice. I have gave out way more hatches than 1 so my head is clear.....You all die miserably if I have my way.

  • I would say my MMR is accurate. My first game was with Hag (rarely use) got 1k. However I should have targeted that dwight soonen instead of allowing him (on death hook) to stick around and crank gens. I also lost my hexes 1 min into the match as usual.

2nd game - Blight (trying to get better with) and was matched up against a 4-man cross play (think was PC) and got 2k.....BALANCED.

3rd - Trickster - Wanted to try him with MMR and my series S for first time and just like on my xbox one it was miserable. His knives are so terrible to me they go where they want to go. This coming from a very good Huntress/Slinger player. Ended with 0k and 2 hooks. The best team I have ever seen I still managed 2 hooks so ######### Trickster.

4th - Spirit - 3k + hatch escape. This game I consider a win but it was a very close game in which I had to quickly eliminate one at 2 gens, and slug to slow them down. I have used Spirit maybe 3 times this year so I would say MMR did a decent jobs with that one.

2k is what is supposed to happen that's the balance they wanted. I am betting you got a kill in most of your matches @Pulsar so a couple more good plays instead of bad ones would have balanced them out. Any 2k games you got were balanced and exactly what is supposed to happen and I am figuring won't drop your MMR. If it goes off the emblem system though ######### knows what it's going to do then. You can have a terrible match and still not de-pip half the time.

Oh I thought I made it clear you had to run ONLY Monstrous. But I see your strategy lol...

Strat would be the same with just Monstrous as it is with just Pop. Neither would turn out great as so far MMR thinks all my killers should play in high level tourneys.

But why even bother at this point? It was not meant to hit and you know that this was not meant to hit. So why bother when you get the information that it hit?

It happened to me like 5 times since it went live, and most of the time I am like "eh, whatever": I am not upset, because I know that this should not have hit in the first place.

But they should do something that it does not look like it hit on the Killers side, so no screams or Blood. But this is the only thing that needs changing, but I am actually wondering why players who know what this means still get upset and think they get "robbed".

I agree when it's hits like in the video but they are not like that. I have mind ######### survivors and hit them before they drop and they took off running with no damage. Sure could be bad luck but it shouldn't happen and we have enough RNG don't need to have pallets add to it. Like you said just let me get stunned, but remove the mind ######### of a hit.

I just brought those up bc they're popular points of argument- I'm with you on not caring :p

I'll admit I was also confused as to why Springtrap and not the original animatronics, but the reason is simple. The animatronics are possessed by the souls of dead children, except Springtrap is actually William Afton, AKA the man who made the animatronics and killed said children. As the mastermind behind the evil, its natural that he's who the Entity will pick.

Look in the end any licence should/will help the cause. I know it has a lot of fans (adults an children) but that is what worries me about it. We got too many children in this game now....You killed me REPORTED, tunnel...Report etc. To be clear by children it's actual children and the adult children which is staggering in this game. Which is why I just wanted it to come later after the icons gives some time for the children to mature (hopefully). I am wrong sometimes though maybe it would all be fine and I am just trippy. Time will tell I guess.

Why not? It's an incredibly popular horror game franchise, and the backstory is like the Clown: childish and out of place on the surface, screwed up and evil behind the scenes. If its the community (LGBT issues, furries, toxic community, etc.) those are already in DBD and other games.

Ok was not going to bring that up as I personally just don't give a ######### about him supporting this or the other. Not everyone needs to support/feel the same about every sensitive area. IMO even if he came out and said it direct it should not effect the material. Just like the Jeepers Creepers ######### everyone talks about....Did the creeper do the #########? NO, I loved Jeepers and what some ######### did behind the scenes should ruin the material. SO long story short no that's not the reason. The reason is the level of popular/iconic the rest of the licences are just bigger and everyone knows them. Walk down your street and ask your neighbors (not your neighbors kids) and ask them who Springtrap is....Now ask them if they know who Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Chucky, IT, Ghostface, TCM/bubba are and you will see what I am talking about.

I'm no fan of FNAF but Pinhead just seems meh to me. Also Devil's Advocate lol

I was not a fan of Pinhead neither. I also wasn't a fan of Jason. They both belong in DBD though without a doubt. FNaF/Springtrap does not. I know a lot won't like that but maybe down the road when more icons have been added/confirmed they can't be added for licencing issues. Sure I would rather have Penny/Chucky/Xenomorph/etc but if it's a choice between Pinhead and Springs it obvious who I choose.

Funny enough, I cleansed noed before the killler got much value on it in rpd. in 10 seconds I found it at the main hall gate.

I rarely and I truly mean rarely run Noed. I had a Doc ritual last night and he is around level 30 and only had 15 perks. I ran Distressing, Coulrophobia, Overwhelming, and Noed. Best build I could form IMO and didn't do to bad hook wise but they were all alive when the 5th gen popped and I was able to down 3 of them and the 4th cleansed noed. I killed the Yun-Jin because she was annoying to me, opened the gate and let Ace (the 4th) heal the other 2 and leave. Got my ritual which is what I came for but had flashbacks of my beginning days where noed could destroy a team. I think I caught them off-guard considering I was rank 1 but had Noed lol but my perks were terrible so I ran it. Prolly should have just went for adept and tried harder but to late now. As for RPD I just despise this map as killer and don't like it much as survivor either but tolerable.

  • @TerrorUnleashed said:

Ok, title is a bit odd. But I'm not changing it lol.

Here's the gist of it: say you're loading into a trial, but instead of a full standard 4 perk slots (or 3 if you're going for adept), you are instead forced to run a single ('bad') perk against your will. For my proposed scenario, you're running Monstrous Shrine as Trapper or Clown against the best-of-the-best Survivors out there. What do you do to secure a win?

Remember this is purely hypothetical. Obviously.

Also, leave some similar situations below. A Survivor one would be great; I just can't be bothered engendering one on my own. Little effort here as you can see :)

I usually only have one perk for most of the game. I been using Lethal so that's gone in 9 seconds, My 2 hexes are gone in first minute, leaving me with the 1 perk I through in there (Surge, pop, etc). Have had the worst maps for hexes the last 2 days....I am a bit frustrated with hexes/maps right now. On top of that the survivors keep running RPD every time I use Blight, Oni, or Billy my luck sucks.

My bad was ranting an forgot to answer you. I would bring Surge or pop and do everything in my power to force a 3 gen, eliminate the weak link, Slug when feasible and pray for the best.

  • I first learned about FNaF because my kids were going nuts over it. "Hey dad look," Some goofy bear pops on the screen (what I was thinking). I thought it was just some low budget game for kids didn't think about it much. Well they recently put them on game pass so I downloaded ALL of them to check out (See what the hype about). I was playing and asked my kids "Is this all you do?" which they said yes but theres jump scares and yada yada yada. I was interested in the story behind but I uninstalled them all out of sheer boredom. I understand these games are popular and I actually despite my experience would not have a problem if they came but just not now. Down the road when we have more of the icons (Ones who fit more IMO) then why not. Although it does not sit well FNaF being in a game with Fred, Mike, Bubba, etc. However we already crossed that bridge with Trick bait so what do I know.

While crouched she moves at 3.6 m/s, ghostface while crouched moves 3.6 m/s. Ghosty just does the crouch animation a tad quicker. Not really a big deal.

Yup, which is exactly why he as well is rarely used for his crouch unless its to juke stares. The reason why I point this out is because I see alot of people using her crouch when they shouldn't be, wasting too much time.

Its light anti-loop, rarely anything more, and rarely that at all.

Spending a bunch of time keeping people off boxes is not optimal.

Correct, which is why I never claimed it was.

If you see one on BBQ, or just happen to pass one slug them and keep going.

You don't really want to use information perks as said before, she doesn't have the mobility, nor the down potential to waste time traveling to survs.

You know why STBL is good one her but to inform you a bit Monitor shrinks your TR by 8 meters out of chase allowing for you to get closer to the survivors before they notice which helps her in her weakest area (chases).

Why do you keep saying things I haven't said? I never said Save The Best for Last is good on her, and I disagree actually. She doesn't have enough pressure for it, so if you are playing vs good survs you won't get nearly as much out of it then you would for a simple combo like Ruin/Undying.

Monitor is actually fine on her, it can help with chase.

Thats why I also mentioned Brutal/enduring which is solid for any killer that can't break pallets with their power.

    Which I would agree with?

You do realize you haven't actually argued anything I have said, but point out random things and assert my position on two things I didn't bring up right?

Also just because you can't utilize a aura perk with her does not mean others can't. Just because you might play a high-level team and not get STBL value does not mean myself and other can't. Not to mention you say ruin/undying is better.....That goes in 30 seconds against good teams on most maps not all. I use her dash to end the loop if I crouch and leave great if not they go down it's up to the survivor and the PIG user. Not all experiences are the same.

Honestly there are only so many perks that you can use on her. Information perks like BBQ, ect mainly fail because she is not a stealth killer and has the slowest movement speed in the game while crouched. She is also M1 with no mobility, so basically you need to run perks that effect chase or slow gen times down.

Interesting choices. I can see STBFL would be good. As it fits most M1 killers. And I just learned that STBFL actually goes well with the Pig because she can use her ambush attack to hit the obsession and not lose stacks. Corrupt seems like a solid choice to give pig time to set up and scout the map. Now BBQ Pop, and Monitor Sloppy, Enduring and brutal? BBQ seems great to help keep an eye on boxes to keep survivors off. But the last 4 seem interesting.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2417288#Comment_2417288

Those are some interesting choices as well. What's a side quest build?

I personally love STBFL so I think I'll try that on her. Probably throw corrupt on their as well. Really changes up what survivors have to do. I think anything that helps know where survivors are going is a must because keeping survivors off of boxes is almost more important than keeping survivors off of gens. Cause if you have 1-2 survivors with an active trap and if you can keep them off boxes that's great suppression I wonder if speed boost perks would be good on Pig?

  • I want individual killer ranks. MMR offers that.

If your good you will sweat if you keep winning.....Use a different killer then?

Survivors hopefully will get better teammates but imo of how it works they should be the ones not wanting it. They can't be a Nancy Main and decide I don't want to tryhard right now and use Kate instead.

my go-to is Whispers, Endearing, Ruin, then last one is depending on my mood. I'm All Ears, Devour Hope, or Franklins.

Lately, ive been going with a Side Quest build. Devour, Ruin, Thrill, and undying. Run with tampered and the purple addon that addons an additional box.

    Both pretty decent.

I have not run the Hex build on her yet. I have bad experiences with hexes as when I run them I will get the worst map for them (ormond, macmillan, etc) then when I don't I get midwich, hawkins, swamp and wish I had them. Swamp has some bad spots but some good ones too. I think I will try it.

  • Enduring + Brutal I like on her too but those builds above a run more frequent.

  • Sloppy, STBL, Monitor, BBQ.

    Sloppy, STBL, Monitor, Corrupt.

Both with extra trap and extra box.

  • @Jago said:

Your build is not new player build. MM did good.

I noticed this too. Rank 14 has better perks than I do at rank 1. I have seen this often though.

  • @Munqaxus said:

Scott Jung asked what MMR was for in one of his recent videos and I think he was very close to the answer. He rhetorically asked if it was for players who wanted to have decent teammates, then dismissed it because those people would be continually going against “Nurses and Spirits and no one wants to play against that all the time”.

Scott is one of the few youtube content creators I like watching, however, I think he missed the point just slightly. The majority of players, about 95% aren’t red ranks. Those players want teammates that are at their level of play. If you are a “Yellow” level survivor, you want fellow “Yellow” level survivors and a “Yellow” Killer. You want a fair match, you don’t want “Red” Killers coming in and slugging all four of you with a Nurse in 1 minute of the game.

As a “purple” ranked Survivor, you don’t want a “Yellow” Ranked survivor coming in and unhooking you right in front of the Killer. Certain skill levels do certain things. The game is much fairer for 95% of the players when they are matched with their skill level.

I do understand why some people don’t want MMR, specifically “Red” rank Killers players. Killer is already a lot to juggle and when you get placed with “skittle” players, the game is easier. Yes, MMR will appear difficult for those 5% of players that are comfortable with “skittle” matchmaking but “skittle” matchmaking is also a crutch. If you want to be better at the game, you need to face more difficult opponents.

In the end, you have two choices. You play opponents more suited to your level and develop more skills, or you play for fun and enjoy where you are even though you aren’t the top player

MMR will be much better for 95% of players because they are tired of being curb-stomped by excessively high survivors or killers or screwed by excessively low survivors. That is who MMR is for.

Agreed. Personally I had a great experience with all the tests except one. I just feel that if I use a killer let's say Billy for example (Have used him 3-4 times sporadically) who I am not good with I should not have to play the exact same level of competition as I do with Pig, Huntress, etc. If I do well with them it will bring me up to those opponents but should not start there. Just because I am Rank 1 with the killers I use don't mean I'm rank one Billy which most survivors don't get. I think it's funny people think they will only play nurse, spirit, blight at the top but that's false. There are plenty of us that are better with other killers. Not every good killer uses the best killer.

When I play Killer and Survivors do that, it doesn't bother me. I really think that, for players that it bothers, that it's actually good for you because it teaches you to have a thicker skin. I honestly think that BHVR should give Killers and Survivors taunts just to help players develop a thicker skin when playing games.

Maybe I'm an old man, but even when I was young, this kind of stuff never bothered me and I'm seriously worried for the next generations because they are way-way over-sensitive about this stuff.

Racism is bad. Bigotry is bad. Someone butt-dancing in front of you is absolutely nothing.

I like this. It's a good thing I couldn't play this game in my 20's because I was a hot-head for sure. I used to get pretty heated in madden especially if I lost a tournament because I fumbled 3 times. Now I still get irritated but not like back then. I have been able to get thick skin for BM in trials but I get so bewildered on the logic of messaging everyone you lose to....Seems juvenile to me. So many can't think past there own screen to see why the survivor/killer did what they did. Better to message them I guess than be intelligent.

  • @vacaman said:

When I play a normal killer I see occasionally a survivor that tbags or click, i guess half of the times just to get your attention, not necessarily to be toxic so I don't really care.

But when I play a meme build like t1 Myers in a bad map at least half of survivors know that you are indefensible and will click and tbag nonstop through the whole match for no other reason than to be toxic, there's where you see the true colors of people.

I don't get any pleasure for being toxic for no reason, maybe against people that have been toxic before as some sort of "karma" but i really don't understand why so many people enjoy being bad for no reason to other people. They can't all be sadists or sociopaths, that would be a proportion that doesn't equate to the maybe 5% in the real world. So why? If anyone of you can explain why you do this, someone that doesn't do this as "revenge" if possible, please do.

I do a decent job at not letting behavior during the trial bother me. Sure there are some exceptions that have triggered me but I don't let it anymore. What does irritate/bother me is post-game behavior. The trial is over move on. Why the need to send a message to the killer crying like a #########. Look I have been tinkering with Blight lately and I am not very good with him imo. Sure I have had my good games but not enough to have confidence in a trial. Got Father's Chapel last night with Blight (I don't like this map with any killer) but really did not like it with Blight. I kept getting stuck or sliding off of everything. I got behind quick because of this but got a down in the shack with basement in there. As I was coming out of the shack I turned around and seen Felix starting to go down so I followed and was able to get a grab and now there 2 down there. I decided to not go far as there was a gen in shack and one right outside so used this to my advantage since I felt I was behind. Feng (not in basement yet) had a key so I had that in the back of my head as well. The two remaining never came and once these two died the game ended (key). Idk I thought it was the best play for me at the time but still got messages from the 2 xbox players who just happened to be the 2 in the basement. Blame me sure I put you down there, but I didn't leave you down there. You got hooked and left behind. Oh I get it forgot I am supposed to allow unhooks and heals under the hook. Sorry I was tired and not thinking straight I will try to do better next time...../s

You dont need to have a 1 or 2 gen left for the killer the be beind. With 3 or 4 gen remaining the killer can be beind if 3 or 4 gen are at 50% or more this is more scary for any killer then 1 or 2 remaining gen with 0% progress

There's exceptions to everything. I personally don't use the tactics until that point/feel I have to. Although 4 at 50 percent still need the same charges as 2 gens. I also stated that because loosing 3 gens means nothing that's usually where the killer points in the most work hence supplies are limited, and gens are easier to defend at that point. We all have our own preferences though.

More needs to be done against tunneling killers... 3 games in a row I'm camped on hook knocked down as they stand at me to wait out my DS to just hook me again. It's stopping me from actually playing the game. I mean if I'm playing solo it's hard to counteract this.

Won't happen. Part of game whether anyone likes it or not. 1-2 gens left/low hook count don't bother me as the killer is behind trying to make a play (they desperate) but using it right of the start as a main strat is trash. Solo really struggles against tunnel/camp.

I run the gambit of killers as well I don't use perks or addons on most of them since they are almost all level 1 because I can't justify putting points into them when I win with them naked the majority of the time anyway, legion is who I've put points in because I think he's fun and feels oppressive with thrilling, Pop, surge, thana.

Oh I'm sure he does....That's a lot of firepower. I run the best I feel I have because that's what my opponent does. I believe in the better to have and not need then need and not have. Just curious what rank are you? Not trying to make assumptions but I too can win from rank 8-20 with nothing. Rank 1 I prefer to carry some guns with me as I always get the worst possible map for the killer I am using.

I guess part of that bias for me is I don't use SC as a survivor so I'm always darting my camera around like I have adhd. And one the the people I play with isn't all that great with awareness himself so he will be actively panicking over the mic about getting chased meanwhile the killer has been off him for 10s and is giving me a pat on the back on a gen or something. Usually ends it quite a laugh. I also main legion so I have the pinnacle of being an m1 killer and thrilling tremors really tells me anything I need to know so I don't need to be super attentive.

Makes sense. I main Pig but use the entire roster (even the ones I am not great with). I like Thrilling but rarely have it on the killer I am using. I am more of a Brutal/enduring, Corrupt/Pop, Undying/Devour, Tinkerer/Disco/Surveillance, Nurses/Sloppy and STBL is my most used perk. These are my most ran combos just because I like what they offer and go well together and hard not to get value.

I'm just curious about people's opinions on if the killer DC. Do you think it's fine or do you hate similar to survivors who DC?

When I am playing with friends we usually bust out laughing. We take it as a compliment/achievement if/when we pull it off. Sucks if they do it at beginning though that ruins everthing.

I like that a little better 🤣. Still disagree despite doing quite well as killer. Survivor has backup (teammates) killers have themselves. You have to be attentive on both sides but majority of time killer more often. There are some situations were they are close in comparison (Hag, myers, ghosty, pig, etc) where you have to be more alert but SC + SB erases that.

And yes I know teammates suck sometimes. Most of the time I die it's their fault but still this is my opinion.

Okay, I find killer to require much less attentiveness than survivor

Exactly. Idk why this is either. And I always ask them, do you lose more than you win? And only one person has ever answered me. I think that alone says a lot. If it is so bad, then how come they can't honestly answer the question.

I will answer you. I won more than I lost with my Xbox one when people were skipping across the map, DH froze me, and my power surged my system. Since getting Series S I got a 2k couple times using killers I suck with (Plague, Billy) but other than that 4k. I always wondered how good I would be with a system that is not broken and I got my answer finally (thank you GameStop).

Big agree, killer is braindead easy most of the time....win 90% of my games without having to rub 2 braincells together.

Brain dead drives me nutz. There is nothing in this game that is brain dead. Uh I hate that phrase.

  • I have a 13 year old son in Vama who runs default Meg all the time. Outfits, Survivor being used, platform being used, etc means nothing. If you are good your good bad your bad. The issue is almost everyone thinks their better than what they are. Everyone gets humbled sometime including you. Everyone has bad games once in a while. Just because you had some bad lobbies let's throw all console players under the bus? Never did like your opinions and this one does not help anyone.

  • BHVR. Specifically when an update comes.

Gameplay wise I would say rusty shackle hag and when spirit appears at my gen.

  • Oppression i don't use unless I have too (killer with ######### perks) but pop/eruption/corrupt i really like and run whenever possible same with Lethal another fantastic perk

As title says, I'm a baby killer. I main Legion and Im rank 16 currently. Now I dont remember crystal clear what happened at this point, I played like 10 games after this one, but it got me thinking about my gameplay.

Survovirs: Feng Min, Jake, Bill(Maybe Kate?), Claudette (I think)

    Killer: Legion

I see Jake first just like walking out in the open, so I go for him and get a hit. As I was chasing Jake he runs me into Feng Min--so I hit her. I start chasing her and after like a 5 second chase she was downed, so I pick her up and place her on hook.

Im going around the map, and after a while I notice that Feng Min STILL hasn't been saved and she just entered phase 2 so I'm like "oo thats rough why hasnt anyone saved her" but oh well. Finally someone unhooks her and I'm like maybe half away across the map so I head in that direction. I see Jake and he's since healed so I get a hit off of him, and during our chase Feng Min just kinda runs into me--so I just take a swing, she goes down, and I place her on hook. Yadda yadda yadda--long story short I let the Jake escape because I felt bad that the 4k was kinda easy, and in post-game they said I tunneled ALL game?

Like I don't think I did, I really try to bounce between survivors. If I hooked Bill I purposely walk away and dont hang around, because I dont think camping is a good way to play, and I literally would just chase whoever I happened to see--and for some reason most of the survivors are legit just walking out in the open? Like they're trying not to make scratch marks I guess, but at least walk behind a visual barrier or something? So I let the Jake win and they're Rank 4 survivor. Like I easily coulda gotten the 4k, but I wanted to be at least a little nice since the majority of them seemed... really new to the game. But no--just got accused of toxic tunneling?

They're a streamer on Twitch so I even reached out to them, and they were super nice and spoke to me on their stream saying I tunneled their Feng Min friend. Personally I don't think I did, she just got kinda unlcuky. I dont chase for longer than 15 seconds because I get looped easily and if I see another target I just change paths.

I'm definitely open for some feedback--I wanna make sure everyone in game is at least having fun, but a Rank 4 accessing me of tunneling just makes it sound like I went OUT OF MY WAY to kill their friend which I didn't purposely do

But again, PLEASE let me know. I'm still learning.

Does not matter if was or not. Do what you feel you need to do as they will. As for tunneling that just gets thrown out there so much these days it barely has a meaning anymore. Unless you hook each one at a time AND let them heal under hook you are tunneling in so many eyes its baffling. Just play the game you paid for.

  • Strongest Overall - Nurse, Spirit, Blight

Strongest for me - Pig, Freddy, Huntress

    Weakest - Trickster, Trapper, Clown

Weakest for me - Trickster, Plague, Billy

Trickster opinion is based of my original Xbox One I am currently installing DBD on my series S hopefully it will help my opinion change.

  • I only use mine if I have no streamers, escape cakes, survivor pudding, or green bpo's.

  • Performance. The way the game breaks Xbox every update. I finally found a goat to sacrifice for a Xbox series S so that should hopefully help me for future updates but no holding my breath on that.

I get stuck on nothing all the time, but so far no issues with changing speeds that shouldn't happen.

That used to be my problem but now this. Change run to multiple different buttons and it still happen. Will try a different remote.

  • I keep getting blinded but don't drop the survivor. Even got my first ever perfectly timed flashlight save got the blind score event and he just couple secs later hooked them anyhow. So my pov says nerfed.

PS4 here, that happens to me fairly frequently, usually if I'm adjusting my camera in chase. Pointed straight forward or backwards it's a normal run, but I slow if my camera is pointed peripherally to where I'm going.

I have been playing about a year an a half and today is the first its happened. Its just every game all of a sudden. Thanks for responding and I will check my camera next time to see if thats when it happens.

  • I was so interested in Trickster as besides Pig of course DS and Huntress are 2 that I perform very highly with. Wanted him to be in my rotation but before and after the buff I'm still left with the same problem...His accuracy on console. I have even tried just throwing one knife at a time and it still don't matter. Survivors can be within 5 meters of me and the knives still miss. Every game I play with him leaves me frustrated and wishing I was Huntress.
