No your right RPD is a horrible map to keep gen pressure my advise let them have one side of the map. Patrol a section of gens where you can 3 gen effectively.
Range killers are at a big disadvantage on that map, as well as killers with no travel power. Even the jumpscare queen The Hag is at a disadvantage because of the sheer size of it.
I am fully aware of only patrolling and protecting 1 half of the map. I do that on every killer on RPD. But I was Huntress. It didn't matter. You can't pull up a hatchet anywhere on that map, so you're left being a 110 killer against 4 survivors who hold W and cut off LOS every second. On a map the size of Red Forest with 3 different levels.
-
Versing good Pyramid Heads will basically always be a lose/lose situation. They are patient and wait to see if you commit to a vault or fake it. They will always get the hit. I agree it's not very fun to verse, because there isn't much of anything you can do, but PH as a whole is "balanced", since he follows the common trend of killers being strong and oppressive in a 1v1 but weak with no mobility in the 1v4.
-
I try my best not to tunnel and play "fair", but when I notice the gens are popping a bit too fast then I have no other choice than to kill someone ASAP. If survivors want to rush the gens, then I want to rush a kill.
Unfortunately due to SBMM, that situation is happening a lot more and it's getting quite boring and annoying.
-
Yeah this happens to me as well on PC, I was so confused wondering why all the Feng's were copying my outfit, especially since I've never seen anyone have the same one before!

That's because his hitboxes were so bad that made him unplayable, bad example.
His base power is still the exact same, and he's one of the strongest killers in the game. It just took time for people to learn collisions and specific techs. Bad counter-argument.
-
Remember when Blight was released and everyone called him "bad"? Just give it some time
-
Yep Nurse still has a huge amount of problems. The main ones I experience are the blink bug where you're stuck in your blink charge animation with the sound going wild, and unable to actually blink until you swing (I believe), as well as certain tiles just being... too big to blink through? The hill tiles are really weird like this, I cannot blink through them even with a fully charged, increased range from add-ons blink. But that's just the tip of the iceberg, and is why I do not play her much anymore.
-
Twins not in a good spot? They are completely fine right now. While those nerfs might not have been the right direction, they're still top tier and better than a majority of the killer roster, and can easily pubstomp a group of solo survivors (and if you're experienced, SWFs typically aren't a big problem either). And yeah people are allowed to complain about Twins because I agree their most effective playstyle encourages what the community considers "boring and unfun" (slugging and camping hook), it's ultimately a design flaw from the dev's part, not the fault of people who play Twins.

literally never met a single person who thought they were better than D. Youre saying twins is better than Demo? that shes on par with Hag and Blight?
Have you ever versed a good Twins player? Twins is 100% A tier. Demo is nothing compared to them. They have some of the biggest snowball potential in the game, similar to Nurse in that if everyone is injured it's very easy to slug all 4 survivors. Victor is very powerful if you use him correctly. I also think you shouldn't underestimate the power of being able to control 2 parts of the map at once.

Same could be applied to the male staff though. Pretty much all male killers are relatively attractive. Clown and Bubba have a bit of dad-bods, but even those are just "man but he kills people".
The only killer that is not fitting either, is Demogorgon, but he's a handsome puppy too.
"Same could be applied to the male staff though" ???
So you're telling me, you think Trapper, Wraith, Billy, Doc, Slinger are attractive? Have you seen Oni under his mask? It's not pretty.
The only acceptable argument for attractive male killers would be Trickster, Pyramid Head, and MAYBE Myers. I'm not counting Ghost Face or Legion because you can't see any of them behind their masks or under their clothes.
This entire thread is an absolute train wreck.
-
Definitely Billy, mainly because I have barely played him so I still have a lot to learn
-
So.... Sedate is just DS but without the requirement of being hooked, AND it slows the killer for 10 seconds, AND they can't use special attacks? No thanks.
-
Man, so many killers need buffs its unreal. I know they don't want to balance for high rank play, but it's so disheartening that I can't play strong killers, unless you want to be gen-rushed and looped as an m1 killer.
Trapper needs bag addons base kit
Hillbilly needs overheat removed. Insta-saw is gone and that was the ONLY issue he had before
Myers needs be able to stalk survivors all the time instead of it running out. Make it so the minimum amount of stalk you get is 50% instead of 0
Pig needs her crouch speed and ambush time addons base kit. I also think her stealth movement speed should be upped to 100% instead of 90%. I do not think it's a good idea to buff/make her RBTs more annoying, so she should have her stealth buffed instead
Clown needs a separate bottle count for Tonic + Antidote bottles (refilling still fills up both though)
Legion should not lose Frenzy charge for basic attacking survivors
Ghost Face just needs the entire reveal mechanic fixed. It's the most inconsistent thing in the game
There's more things I would want for other killers but those are the main things I have issue with. It makes no sense why wouldn't at the very least MINORLY buff the weak killers. I do not think anything I said would make it worse for lower rank games, and it would help a lot for higher rank games.

Map is fine once you learn it. Too many players are just unwilling to adapt.
The only problem I have is that it is too dark in some places.
Yes, learn to hold W and m1 the survivors with no mind-gaming necessary because the pallets are either the most unsafe ones I've ever seen or complete god pallets with no chance to mind-game. Not to mention most of the killer roster is rendered completely useless by the sheer size of the map, as well as the fact it is indoor. Plus, even if you do learn the layout, half the gens require you to follow through a labyrinth of indirect hallways.
But yeah "it's fine once you learn it". Let's not excuse this horrendous map design because YOU like it personally. It's objectively horrible.

If you want people to play that mode, you want it to be balanced. Killers are not going to sign up for a mode that's just heavily in the survivors' favor. So I care, because I'd actually like to play it. You should care too for the same reason.
In a game balanced around 1v4, no, I really wouldn't care if a 2v8 mode is unbalanced chaos. It's clearly more of a mode for fun, not to take it seriously and try to sweat and win. Lots of games have chaotic alternate modes that aren't balanced. League of Legends has URF, which was so popular that Riot got rid of the mode altogether because people weren't playing regular LoL. Overwatch has Total Mayhem, which has a significant player base/cult following. I also believe Blizzard has limited the times it comes around because too many people were playing it.
My point is most people like the chaos and fun, regardless of balance. You also have this bad habit of insisting everything you say is right. "You should care too for the same reason", no, I shouldn't, and I don't have to. I want a 2v8 BECAUSE it would be unbalanced fun. If it's balanced to play exactly like 1v4, why make the mode in the first place?
-
"2v8 too strong blah blah blah make it 2v6"
man who tf cares, 2v8 sounds like an absolute blast of fun. if you're so worried about balancing then stick to 1v4, I would gladly take the utter chaos and mess of a 2v8 mode
-
I definitely stay away from DBD for starters lol, I generally either go and sit outside and relax doing things on my phone for a while, or I play a relaxing game that I can chill out on (usually Bloons Tower Defence 6). I have GAD so I tend to do these things a lot. I also enjoy candles, but sometimes the smell can get overwhelming
-
Huntress is fun because she has good and interactive counterplay, since she has a windup time and is punished for misusing it. When you outplay a Huntress it feels good and fair, same as when she outplays you (disregarding laggy hatchet hitboxes).
When a Deathslinger misses a shot, I don't feel like I outplayed him, rather that I am alive solely because HE missed, not because of anything I did.
Trickster is awfully boring to verse, at short loops you are absolutely ######### and at high tiles he plays similar to Huntress. I also feel like when I escape a chase against Trickster, it's not because I did anything special, but rather he just missed too many knives.

How do you counter a 3 gen if it takes forever to find any gen at all?
I didn't miss your point. You just have no point. You 3-genned yourselves. If you still can't find gens on Hawkin's then that is your problem, not the map design. Go look at the Swamp if you think Hawkin's has bad gen spawns.

That makes sense, but I've always hated him being called Trickster. It makes him sound like he's a prankster of sorts, think of Loki, that sort of thing. But nah, he just throws knives. Very "trickster".

I feel like you're blaming the design of Hawkin's when the actuality of this match was that the survivors 3-genned themselves. Not the maps fault, sounds like it was completely yours.
I know a lot of people don't like Hawkin's, but I really love it. It has unique loops and the aesthetic is nice. Too many people hate on it because "indoor" or "garbage pallets" (you can actually just insta-drop the bad pallets in the corridors and make near infinites and force the killer to break them which is cool).
But to me this post just sounds you are taking your anger out on the map when this could literally happen on any map. You 3-genned yourselves. It's not a Hawkin's exclusive thing, so there's no point saying it's "bad map design".

I've already stated multiple times the build is effective for Blight, yet you keep explaining it to me like I haven't acknowledged that. You truly don't get the simple question I'm asking and it's quite intriguing since the question is so simple I can explain it to someone who hasn't even played DBD and they would understand it.
You don't understand map pressure. Map pressure is not purely mobility, it's making survivors not do their main objective which is generators. Mobility doesn't mean anything if you can't actually make survivors not do gens which means you have to down them relatively fast. Sure a (bad) Blight can push people off gens easier than a Nurse but that doesn't mean actually anything if he can't down people fast as the killer can chase one survivor and either another teammate gets on the generator the initially-mentioned survivor was knocked off of or they simply do another one. Hooking, slugging, to some map mobility, and then lastly tunnelling (to some extent) is a form of map pressure. There's a reason for example why you almost never see Billy players in tournaments use ruin and undying. Can they knock people off gens faster than a Nurse? Sure but they have no map pressure as they can't get downs fast enough against very good players. It's the same with Freddy, who I'd argue has the best map mobility in the game, particularly since his dream projection doesn't take that long to recover either. He can get from anywhere on the map with a dream projection
Nurse has the best map pressure in the game, hence why she's the best killer. Blight is also one of the best but he still has to interact and is countered by survivor resources (pallets and windows). Nurse ignores all of that. There's no debating that. You don't understand what map pressure is, so stop using that as a reason.
As I said before I have no skin in this game so there's no irritation but I said that last sentence not to be mean but because I genuinely think it's true. My question has been explained in the utmost simple way in multiple ways but yet you are lacking the comprehension of it so severely to the point where you're just not even attempting to answer the prompt in a relevant way because I genuinely think you don't understand it, hence why I said I think you guys are clueless. It's one thing to not know the answer, it's another thing to not understand the question at all.
I understand your question just fine. You seriously aren't taking any responses from people as adequate, which is your own problem I guess. Take everything I said into account and that's your answer.
And yes, I do understand map pressure. However, we seem to be talking about different versions of it. I am referring to map pressure in the literal sense that Blight/Billy can be at any location in the map extremely quickly. That is why they get the most value out of every killer with Ruin/Tinkerer. If a Nurse is on the other side of the map, and Tinkerer procs, there is very little chance she gets there in time to stop it. Nurse's map pressure only exists if she is good enough to get quick downs, she CANNOT traverse the map quick enough to get the same value out of those perks as Blight and Billy do. It's not the same thing.
You seem to be mixing together actual map pressure and chase potential. Nurse definitely does not have the best map pressure in the game, that's a ludicrous thing to claim. She's considered the best killer because her potential to end chases quickly is the best out of every killer. Therefore a good Nurse who gets quick downs "pressures" the map in the form of forcing the other survivors to come to her to unhook and save their teammates if they want to even stand a chance at escaping. When it comes to actually pressuring far away points on the map, Blight and Billy win that by a landslide, Freddy comes in close although falls short because of the cooldown on the teleport.
I am not even going to bother talking about comp DBD, it's completely irrelevant to even bring up because the comp experience is so far from actual public games that it's not even worth responding to.
But ok, I'm done responding now, if you don't understand what I am trying to tell you by now, that's on you. Have a nice day.

I typed out an equally long response to the bulk of what was said earlier but I'm going to be real with you, I don't care to discuss it so I'm just going to move on from it since that's not really the main talking point I want to get at anyways
I really have no skin in this game, but none of the responses are adequate and I really don't understand what's not clicking here. For the nth time, no one is questioning the effectiveness/power of the build on Blight. People are questioning why players who play Blight use the same build in such a high saturation, and you almost never see such a thing on other killers. Twins, Demo, and PH are exceptions as they have perk compatibility issues in regards to their power and/or playstyle to even win consistently with them. Blight doesn't.
There is nothing wrong with optimal builds and obviously people are going to use them but people are questioning the odd saturation of Blight players who use it as it is strange to droves of people. I have yet to see other players of killers use "optimal builds" to even a fourth of the frequency as I do Blight players. Most players of other killers in pub games have a variety, even a variety of strong builds. For Blight players even though he has multiple options for alternatives for strong builds (because let's be real you don't need ruin undying for the average pub game, even for practising Blight) they only use one as if those are the only perks they have in their inventory. 95% of them bring comp builds as if pub games are scrims. No one else does that.
The question is extremely simple: Why do so many Blight players bring comp builds in pub games but you don't see players of other killers bring it with the same frequency as Blight players do?
I'll make it even simpler: Why don't you see players of other killers like Nurse/Spirit/Hag and so forth bring comp builds or "optimal builds" just as much as Blight players do? Why aren't we seeing threads complaining about Infectious ruin undying corrupt nurse players? Or corrupt ruin undying pop Spirits? Wraith has become very popular since his recent buffs and you've had people make threads expressing complaints about how Wraith feels annoying to play against, but do you know what they don't complain about? Wraith players running optimal builds 95% of the time like Blight players. If people want to run optimal builds so often in general, why are people only complaining about Blight?
I've explained this extremely simply and if the question cannot be comprehended then you guys are kind of hopeless.
I just don't think it's clicking for you, that build is extremely effective on Blight, and most people get the gen regression perks before other perks. Hence why lots of people use it. Blight does not need other perks to do well because he doesn't necessarily have a weakness.
Take Pig for example, she's weak in chase so a lot of Pigs use Save The Best For Last because it helps strengthen her chase potential which is a weak point. What is the weakness in Blight? As dull as it sounds, it's gens being done. He's strong in chase and has high map pressure and mobility naturally. So all he needs for perks is gen regression. Therefore, you get droves of Blight players using 4 gen regression perks (sometimes one is replaced by BBQ & Chili, but the point is the same).
You can't make the same argument for Nurse because she lacks map pressure. So, because of her insanely strong chase potential, lots of Nurse players try to snowball the game with Infectious. Hence, Infectious being a popular choice for her. Wraith's almost always use Sloppy Butcher because it plays into his strengths of getting hits when survivors aren't ready. People generally don't complain about Infectious or Sloppy because it doesn't stop their gens from getting done, even though they are arguably as strong as gen regression perks on certain killers. That's the main reason people complain about Blight's using 4 gen regressions, because it's directly interfering with their objective.
I also think it just simply comes down to: Blight is extremely fun to play. He really is. Whether you think he's busted OP or not, he is fun to play. Putting on Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer makes it so all you need to do all game is rush, rush, rush. You don't need to worry or stress about popping this gen, wasting time going somewhere, etc. because the build mixed with Blight's kit means you can kind of just autopilot mode and play the game with little worry.
There was no need to get all snarky and condescending in your last sentence, we are answering your questions when we don't need to be, if you don't like our answers, then keep it to yourself :)

Blight's mobility is nice, but he also has collision issues so it's not always guaranteed. And Nurse also has incredible mobility as well, let's not act as if Blight is the only mobile killer, let alone the only killer that can get value out of ruin. Especially Nurse with range add ons, unless it's something like Mother's Dwelling, she can get from point A to C across the map typically with just two blinks at most.
Other killers can put pressure on survivors and generators and some can do it better (Nurse, hence why she's the strongest killer in this game as she can pressure survivors the best), I'm still not sure why you're acting as if Blight is the only one who can do that.
Every killer has an optimal build and it doesn't always consist of regression but even then you still don't see players of other killers use the same optimal build, and if you do it's because of perk compatibility issues like Twins and Demo. Blight is the only exception as there is no excuse.
No one is properly answering the question still.
The collisions are a non-issue, you bounce off most things, and it becomes very obvious what you can/can't bounce off in-game after playing a few Blight matches. You can still extremely easily traverse the entire map.
Nurse's mobility is barely anything compared to Blight. Her blinks go barely anywhere compared to Blight's rushes, and she has fatigue after every blink. I am not acting like Blight is the only mobile killer, I am simply saying ONLY Billy and Blight have enough mobility to keep pressure up with Tinkerer/Ruin/Undying. Nurse doesn't have that kind of map pressure. I say this as someone who has played a lot of Blight and Nurse.
I also want to point out that Nurse's mobility is stronger in chase than Blight, but Blight's mobility is way stronger at map pressure. There's the trade-off between the two. Same goes when comparing Spirit and Blight.
Nurse is theoretically the best killer in the game. And I want to stress the theoretically part. If you do not miss a single blink, there is not much the survivors can do. So yes, in that regard, she is the best. But Blight is extremely easier to play and learn than Nurse, and he's almost just as good. Please stop making things up about what I am saying, I never said Blight is the only killer who can pressure survivors, I am saying he has both strong MAP pressure, and chase potential. Nurse has strong chase potential, NOT map pressure. Her pressure comes from downing survivors quickly and forcing them to get off gens and go for unhooks/heals.
We are properly answering your question. You are refusing to take our responses. Blight and Billy are the ONLY killers with high enough mobility to CONSISTENTLY pressure the entire map using Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer. Nurse doesn't have that kind of mobility, neither does Spirit, and Oni only has it when he has his power (therefore he is not consistent). That is why you generally only ever see Blight's run this build. He gets more value out of it than any other killer. Billy is a close second, but it's hard to say because barely anyone plays him anymore.

@kyogul said:
It would be interesting perhaps if Alchemist Ring got changed to where it does what it does now, but Blight's base movement speed becomes 110%. That seems like a kind of decent trade off.
I also think people are missing the point with this argument, and I don't get why it's not obvious. No one is questioning the power of ruin/undying/tinkerer or why people want to use it. People specifically single out Blight because an odd saturation of players use this build and seemingly nothing else. The only other killer you see such an optimal build ran on is Twins and they have legitimately and pretty significant perk compatibility issues that conflict with playing them efficiently and well to win.
No one is answering the question of: why is it only Blight players who go so hard in the paint and use basically quasi-tournament builds at all times in pub games but you don't see such a high saturation of the same build on any other killer?
Why don't we see Nurse's, Spirit's, Billies, Oni's, Freddy's, etc. who have an absurdly high saturation of using ruin undying tinkerer? All of these killers I mention, players have some variety in their builds and they don't need ruin undying to pub stomp, let alone do you see that even an eighth as frequently as you do with Blight players.
Blight does not need ruin undying to pub stomp, point blank period.
I will ask the question again: Why is it only Blight players who use optimal builds to such a high saturation but you basically do not see this on any other killer?
Because other than Billy, Blight has the mobility to properly use Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer to his advantage. He can rush to basically any gen on the map when Tinkerer procs, and he can keep up pressure to get value with Ruin. Other killers cannot afford to use 4 gen regression perks because without mobility, Ruin does not get as much value. Neither does Tinkerer. You only see Blights use it because he can optimally play into those perks' strengths. Billy can as well, but not many people play Billy anymore.
-
As someone who uses the slowdown build (Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer/Pop) on Blight, I would like to give my opinion on why it's fine and what you need to do as a survivor to escape against it:
Step 1: Find and cleanse Ruin/Undying. It's 100% necessary as you will not finish a gen because of Tinkerer. Hide like a ######### and don't do any gens until Ruin is gone. Make the Blight's life boring by not letting him find you.
Step 2: Spread out and work on 3-4 separate gens. If you know you're giving him Tinkerer, be more aware if you're in an open space and look out for Blight coming. If you have awkward line of sight, get off the gen and hide/run to a loop. This will lead to either the Blight coming to your gen and looking for you, giving your team time to pump 2-3 other gens somewhere, OR he will not come at all and you can finish the gen.
Step 3: Repeat Step 2 until 5 gens are done. I cannot stress enough how important it is to SPREAD the gen pressure. Work on at LEAST 2 simultaneously. He cannot use Pop on 2 gens.
Before anyone says anything, yes, I know for solo survivors this is probably too much to deal with, but it is a general idea of how you should be playing against a Blight with those perks. If everyone remains spread out and focussing 3-4 different gens, the Blight will be getting lots of Tinkerer notifications, and he will know that he can't stop all of them from being completed. The main strength of the slowdown build is survivors trying to push through without cleansing Ruin, and unless you're in a SWF, I doubt it can be done. Cleansing Ruin is the most important thing and must 100% be done before you start trying to pop gens.
I do agree though that his add-ons are very strong. Most of them don't need changing though, I just hate Alchemist's Ring. I have never used it and never will. It's the only one I think deserves a nerf. Double speed or Compound add-ons are fine as is because you have more than enough time to get to a new loop while the Blight is recharging his rushes.

I see. More condescending. So basically you have to play 5,000+ hours (I have no objective life) in order to have two cents within a game as simplistic as this one? Good to know. Lol
Getting to red rank is easy if you have as little as 10 brain cells. 😂
You're making baseless assumptions because everyone is shitting on your idea, which sucks, but you should really listen to us. I only have ~850 hours and I got rank 1 on both sides very easily, this game isn't that hard. But yeah, keep being in denial and resorting to insulting people when we are all telling you this is a terrible suggestion.
-
Yeah, the only games I experience where gens do not fly is when I'm playing Blight with the most meta build ever... Corrupt, Ruin, Tinkerer, Pop. Unfortunately most killers just aren't good enough to keep up the pressure against good survivor teams. I don't like the idea of changing gen speeds though, I would just like some incentive for survivors to not hold M1 on a gen if they aren't in chase, which makes every game 5 minutes long instead of 10.
-
OP has clearly never played in red ranks where the survivors actually know how to loop tiles. This is one of the most busted perk suggestions I have ever seen. Survivors, of all things, do not need buffs. Tunnelling is a strategy in the game, and while you may not like it, it's something you just have to deal with. The same way gen-rushing with Prove Thyself is also a strategy.
Imagine the complete outrage if they had a killer perk that caused gens to be blocked off by the Entity for 30 seconds when it reached half progress. That's basically the killer equivalent of what you are suggesting. You even admitted to having "mere hundreds" of hours in game, which is evidently not enough for you to understand enough about the game to make suggestions like this, and then you laugh and shrug everyone else off because they're saying it wouldn't work. If you aren't open to changing your mind, why even post a discussion in the first place?
-
I really just love everyone saying "Keep the FNAF kids away, they're so toxic!" and acting like DBD isn't already extremely toxic. In fact every online game where you compete against other people is toxic. If anything I expect FNAF players to be less toxic because they aren't killing other people, or tea-bagging and macro-spamming your flashlight to the killer at the exit gate.
I have never played a single FNAF game, but I am very interested in the lore and story behind it, and I think Springtrap would be a cool killer, plus he would be something we haven't seen before (an animatronic).
Let's not gatekeep DBD and act like we are somehow 'above' people who enjoy FNAF. It's very petty and pathetic, and the recent teasers from the devs have brought out the worst in both our community and the FNAF fans. I'm very excited for Pinhead as he looks awesome and fun, but I would be equally as excited if it were Springtrap.

An innocent reason, but you instantly know you're facing The Cenobite because there are chains on everyone's portraits.
They also both have audibly distinct Terror Radius themes, so I don't think anyone will truly get confused.
The Doctor also has a considerably aggressive and distorted posture compared to The Cenobite's upright and stiff position.
Sure, experienced players like us would know, but what about people who are new and/or still learning the game? I have friends who are brand new to the game and have trouble telling the killers apart. It would make it very confusing for them if they're versing a Doctor that looks like Pinhead...

It's a cool idea but I'm not sure they'd add Cenobite skins for other killers, since it might confuse people about what killer you're actually going against.

Everything about that map is a joke. I just don't understand why they also took away hatch spawn consistency with it. Just leave it spawn on first floor only, the same as Midwich and The Game? Makes no sense to change it for no reason.

I'm so confused, when did people start thinking Hawkin's is survivor sided? That map has been famously killer sided, due to it being indoors (great for stealth killers) and most pallets are complete garbage? Before Dead Dawg Saloon was added, I thought we collectively agreed Hawkin's was one of, if not the most, killer sided map? Oh well. I will miss the map, I love the aesthetic and the loops aren't generic tiles, they are actually interesting. It sucks we are seeing an actually unique map leave. Plus, I don't really have respect for people who are HAPPY content is being removed, regardless of whether you like it or not. Just seems very petty.

Players who refuse to try and do gens or unhook because they're hiding for hatch are some of the worst players in this game. Stop being so selfish and just play the game out normally, it isn't the end of the world if you die and don't get hatch.

I love the Supernatural series, and I think Sam and Dean would make great survivors, but I just can't ever see BHVR being interested in getting it.

I don't think we have to worry too much about old movie licenses. I believe Netflix is pulling Stranger Things because of their gaming platform, so they want to draw all the gamers who love Stranger Things to that, and away from DBD (because they're most likely creating a ST game). The new season being released next year will also generate a lot of hype so more people will be invested into it, and with the ST chapter being available in DBD, less people would buy content from Netflix's games. I don't personally believe it got too expensive for BHVR to afford, I just think Netflix said 'no' because they want Stranger Things all to themselves.

That is a good point. I agree that it is probably one of it not the most successful chapter they have done, but i think in 2020 because stranger things isn't as relevant it was not selling enough to justify renewing the license, that is my theory.
I guarantee it's still selling more than the Ash vs. Evil Dead paragraph and the Nightmare on Elm Street chapter (especially since Freddy's nerf and add-on rework). It probably still outsells the Saw chapter, although maybe not recently with the Spiral movie coming out and BHVR trying to promote the franchise a bit (the Pig mask for Meg, and the 2x chance to get Gideon Meat Plant). I'm pretty sure it was the most successful chapter until Silent Hill, and then even that was overtaken by Resident Evil if I'm not mistaken.

He didnt say it was bad because it was indoors. Most people argue that its bad because it chases tend to be made up entirely of holding W down straight hallways. For the most part, the fun part of chases come down to killers trying to cut off survivor's pathing while survivors trying to predict what a killer is going to do to gain distance. Midwich doesnt really allow for that. It's hallways dont allow for any corner cutting on the killer's side or any mindgames.
The entire game has become a hold W simulator, Midwich was just one of the maps that made people realise how strong it is against most killers. Some killers are extremely good on Midwich. It's Nurses best map, and the corridors make it pretty good for killers like Blight, Huntress, Slinger, Trickster, even Oni with power although I literally never see Oni anymore. I think it has the right amount of pallets and windows and isn't overloaded with a million resources like lots of maps are. Even so, if the gens get done, it has one of the most killer-sided door spawns that never change. There's a lot going for killers on that map, but for some reason most people hate it because "indoor" or "hold W simulator"

Gonna have to disagree, the Stranger Things chapter is one of the most successful chapters they've done. It was the first to add 2 survivors and everyone thought that was cool. While obviously none of us know the real reason the license isn't being renewed, I personally believe it has something to do with Netflix making their own gaming service in the near future. I'm assuming a Stranger Things game is coming, and they probably want all the money people put into Stranger Things gaming content to be for them and not BHVR.

Hawkins is the third worst map in the game after RPD and Midwich.
RCPD might be the worst, but Midwich is far from it. Just because it's indoor doesn't mean it's automatically bad.

Yeah, it would definitely depend. Like an example above, Tomb Raider is not horror but I think Lara Croft would fit in great as a survivor. As a general blanket statement though, no, let's stick to horror.

I am a bit of an achievement hunter so I go out of my way to get some. The only one I am kind of dreading going for is Skilled Huntress, I am a Huntress main and I only have 8/20 for that so far

yeah um why are we trying to think of concerns for a mechanic we know next to nothing about? let's just wait for actual information about them before we start assuming everything... I would be more worried about the next killer's power being oppressive and boring in the 1v1 and lacking map pressure since that seems to be the modern design philosophy the devs have...
