  • I love the RE series and I like how faithful the map is to the original design, but it just doesn't work as a DBD map. It's probably the worst indoor map now, reworked Game is pretty good and Midwich is bearable.

  • Well, you said you like Haddonfield, so I'm taking this post with many grains of salt.

  • I am legitimately only playing to use all the cakes and get bloodpoints. It's disappointing that the only thing they seemed to fix was the new RCP map from crashing; even then it's still a terrible map gameplay-wise.

They aren't a priority at all. It's just some issues have much quicker fixes than others - and some things have been worked on for longer than others as well...this isn't about priority.

Dang, kinda sad even the forum mods can't even look beyond their biases... It's entirely about priority. Obviously the devs wanted this cosmetic glitch to go otherwise they wouldn't have patched it out in the first place. I seriously can't imagine patching something that was fun and had no impact on gameplay over trying to fix optimisation, balancing killers, possibly buffing the countless terrible perks in the game, reworking and updating more maps?

You can't expect me to believe it's because "it doesn't take long to fix" when you could spend literal seconds changing a few numbers in God knows how many terrible perks to make them somewhat viable/fun to use? But no, let's take away your cosmetic options instead of improving gameplay!!!

  • Yep. Makes absolutely no sense why any original characters have linked sets at all. I can understand the licensed ones and probably needing permission which is a hassle, so that's fine by me. But I don't see any reason why original characters should have any linked sets at all. BHVR is not bound by legal contracts and are simply just too lazy to spend a very small amount of time to fix any clipping issues the linked sets might have if you unlink them. I really don't get it.

RNG boxes? Who cares....its time stalled, and in some occasions a dead survivor. (And did you really just admit to using her dash attack to sneak up on people in stealth? Instead of uncrouching and getting the grab?)

Theres no way theres this many bad killer mains in this game.....no way. Like I think this might be a straight up L2P issue....like ######### did I just read? Bruh.....read a tutorial or get a guide or somethin cause this is embarrassing...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UOlX6azR3A

Stalled time means nothing when you have terrible chase potential with Pig and can get looped easily by good survivors. Other killers don't need to stall time because they get downs and hooks which is way better. And no, I didn't admit to using her stealth/dash attack like that. You're making stuff up to fit some weird agenda you have to think that Pig is a good killer. I said her dash attack is bad at LOOPS. I'm not saying you CAN'T do well with her. You can do well with any killer if you know how to use them. But objectively speaking, Pig is one of the weakest killers in the game and she is easy to exploit with good survivor skills. There is no changing that no matter how much you love and main her. Stop being so bias and just admit it.

"Temporarily distracting X# Survivor from doing generators for a short time is NOT good stall"

    What...other stall is there??!?! WTFF

The alternative is the survivor is just dead......#########...thats not a stall they're just dead....

How long have you been camping and tunneling to the extent where you think 30 second to 2 minute banish stall isn't a stall?!??!

    https://media1.tenor.com/images/04079c559b5acc2573a9c55870ff51f3/tenor.gif

I'm sorry, but it's very clear your bias towards Pig is making you delusional. I love Pig, she's one of my mains among Huntress and Doc as well. But she is definitely one of the worst killers in the game. The boxes are incredibly RNG reliant (with no add-ons, they get it off 50% of the time with the first 2 boxes checked). Plus, the death timer is long enough where survivors aren't worried about dying because they have more than enough time to check every box. Her stealth is the worst of its kind in the game and her dash is incredibly loud and easy to predict.

Most games, Pigs are forced to play as an M1 killer with an inconsistent dash attack that only works against survivors who don't know to leave the loop while the Pig is crouched. Her only real chance at doing well is if most survivors take 3+ boxes to get their traps off, which is a rare occurrence. Even then, you also have to hope the survivor you're chasing doesn't know how to loop that well so you can keep up pressure with more downs + traps.

While I love playing her, and I'm a big fan of the Saw franchise which might explain why I like her so much, I can objectively say she is a terrible killer. And you should try and clear your eyes to see beyond this bias you have for her because she is widely known by the entire community to be a terrible killer.

  • Was tossing up between DH and BT, but I find BT more consistent and is a better comeback perk. If DH worked instead of exhausting me on the ground a majority of the time, then my answer would probably be different.

  • Gonna have to disagree with this post. The grind is ridiculous in this game. ESPECIALLY when new players look at it. I've put my time into the game so I've unlocked most perks on my main survivors and killers, but I have friends who simply don't want to start playing the game a lot because they can tell it's going to take a long time to get perks.

Even then, I don't want to play the same survivors and killers every game. To me, that's boring. But then the issue arises where if I feel like playing x killer, I simply don't have the perks unlocked to have a good game with them. E.g. I am rank 1 with my mains of Huntress/Pig/Doctor, but if I ever feel like playing say Pyramid Head, or Blight, I am going into a rank 1 game with terrible perks which I know won't be fun for me (and probably the survivors if the game is too easy).

There are so many new survivors and killers since they first reworked the bloodweb, I really don't think it would cause much issue if they doubled the bloodpoints earned per game, or at the very least let the players choose which perks to unlock instead of an RNG web.

  • Barely ever. I find it kind of counter-intuitive since if the killer has Ruin/Undying, all survivors are looking for totems, then they get cleansed, and it's like, why am I running Soul Guard and not just Unbreakable? It's very unlikely you will ever need to pick yourself up twice in the same game so Unbreakable will almost always be a more consistent perk (as well as not needing the killer to have a Hex perk).

If we put our personal biases aside for a second, I think we can all agree that Spirit is problematic, and thus her kit should be looked at and re-evaluated.

Implying I'm only disagreeing with you because of my personal bias. Classic.

No killer should be the cause of this much uproar, hate and disagreement.

I've been here long enough to know that complaints about killers are cyclical. Complaints surge about one specific killer, they get nerfed, then complaints move on to the next killer. This time it's Spirit. Next it'll be Deathslinger or Nurse (for the umpteenth time). Doesn't matter how many times the killer is actually nerfed, they're inevitably put on the list again. The only way it ends is if killers get removed altogether, or are made so weak that you can 1v1 them.

For the record, the forum is a tiny subsection of the playerbase. Do not confuse a vocal minority for what the majority of the players want.

I didn't imply anything, I was just stating something. I was talking about the DBD community as a whole, not implying you were using personal bias.

And yes, I've played the game for a while now too and I know how killer complaints go. First it was Nurse, then Spirit was released, yada yada some Slinger here and there, and then you get to today. Spirit is by far the most problematic killer ever, and has been since her release. The complaints have not stopped. It's not simply "her turn." Surely you can see that is a bad thing right?

I also don't think it's a good idea to dismiss complaints simply because you believe they are some sort of cycle. People complain a lot about Spirit for so many reasons. There's no need to invalidate them. A game should be fun after all, and why should people not make complaints/suggestions to make the game more fun?

Regardless of whether people use the forum or not, people in end game lobbies always complain about a Spirit game. So no, the forum is a not "vocal minority" on this particular topic.

P.S there is no need to reply and talk to me (and I assume you do the same for others) in such a condescending tone.

I'd need to see the actual trials. Red rank survivors tend to give up at the first sign of trouble, and having lower-ranked survivors can definitely make it more difficult.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2262100#Comment_2262100

To prove that, you'd probably need many trials with her from people who know nothing about what it's like to play killer.

What? My point was that at even skill levels, regardless of rank, Spirit is very likely to do well. Because she's an easy killer with next to no counterplay. Hence why she's so hated and why she's competitively viable. I don't think it's fair to counter every single argument you disagree with by saying "Ok prove it I need stats". If we put our personal biases aside for a second, I think we can all agree that Spirit is problematic, and thus her kit should be looked at and re-evaluated. No killer should be the cause of this much uproar, hate and disagreement.

So what was your rank, the survivors' ranks, how did the trial go, and so on? It's easy to say "4k" without giving any details. I can go on right now and 4k with Trickster using only M1 attacks because I haven't played killer in so long, I'm rank 20.

I don't think that's relevant information though. For how easy Spirit is, it's not hard to get consistent 4k's at any ranks. You would get a 4k with Trickster at rank 20 probably because you're skill level is of a rank 1. It doesn't really matter what rank this guy is, he's just acknowledging that Spirit is an easy character to do really well with, regardless of rank.

I’ve repeatedly said on these forums that one of my favourite Clown builds is Coulrophobia, Deathbound, Forced Penance, and Sloppy. I do really well at red ranks with this build and a particular strategy.

Of course here I’m often not taken seriously at all.

I take the time to really understand a perk, and milk the most I can out of them. Even the pretty bad Furtive Chase can be used to quickly change targets mid chase at 4 tokens, and keep Survivors confused.

No perk is 100% complete rubbish. They just require methodical approaches.

Finally, another person who likes weird/non-meta builds. I have a similar build that I use on Doctor (Sloppy, Coulrophobia, Distressing, and then a slot for whatever I'm feeling like. But it's usually BBQ for the bloodpoints.) Then chuck on some Calm add-ons and the survivors are usually unable to heal for the whole match.

But ya know, it's DBD, tryhards will always stick to their BBQ/Ruin/Undying/x builds and never learn any other playstyle. I find it very boring and stale to always run the same build with same playstyle.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

I always strongly encourage experimentation with perks. It helps a player learn many valuable skills.

Yep. I've seen and met many killer mains who struggle once they are forced to use anything other than BBQ + Pop or Ruin/Undying

Nurse and Spirit pick rates combined is only 12,9%. So no, they are not "running rampant". If you say you're facing them every game then you're either extremely unlucky or lying.

I mean, if you compare to most other pick rates, they are far more likely to get chosen. The most picked killers in order are literally:

    1. Huntress - 9.41%
    2. Blight - 6.6% (likely this high because at the time he was the newest killer, I would argue Nurse and Spirit are most likely 2nd and 3rd most picked now)
    3. Nurse - 6.58%
    4. Spirit - 6.32%
    5. Deathslinger - 6.25%

    etc...

They are definitely running rampant more often than a majority of the killers. Plus, people often only remember the really terrible games they have, which are most likely to be from Nurses and Spirits. I don't think they are that commonly picked that immediate changes need to made, but I do think it is an issue when the only competitively viable characters are killers who can ignore pallets.

  • The Obsession icon is a good indicator of what perks are being run (if you're playing killer). If you are running no Obsession perks and the Obsession icon is present, then you know for a fact that at least 1 survivor has an Obsession-based perk (which 95% of the time is going to be Decisive Strike). From the survivor side, if you aren't the Obsession, you can see if the Obsession is in a chase because the Entity's little tentacle things light up and wiggle a little bit. Other than those small bits of information, it practically means nothing. If you are the Obsession though, you get a small BP bonus for escaping, and I believe the killer gets a little more BPs for hooking/killing the Obsession.

  • @savevatznick said:

    Yes and No.

Honestly, if you're playing survivor, the tenets of the game remain the same, just your windows are narrower.

    1. Do Gens if you aren't doing something
    2. Get Ruin down if you can, but still do gens
    3. Loop the killer for as long as possible
    4. Abuse your perks.

A lot of new killers have been added - PHead is probably the one that takes the most getting used to, because you need to predict his ranged attack through walls, but to be honest, the game hasn't changed much for survivors and likely will not for a long while.

For Killer? Ruin got changed and now takes up two slots now (Ruin Undying). Aside from that, not much has changed; stop gens and down survivors quickly. If you're playing a low-tier killer, you'll have to play way better than the survivors to win, and the map will still cuck you no matter what you do. Haddonfield still the worse, Shelter Woods still the best.

Haha I appreciate the tips, but just thought I'd let you know I've played the game a lot and have been rank 1 for a long time. I'm familiar with the strategy involved. I also played when PH was released, I only missed The Twins. It is good but also kind of disappointing to know that it's basically the same though - the game was in a very bad state and most of the community wanted the devs to do something about it. I guess they're taking steps backwards if The Twins most effective playstyle is hard face-camping though, and that the new perks aren't very useful.

I am complaining about a survivor who is using their "anti camping" and "anti tunneling" perks to complete objectives. I don't care if the rest of the team is terrible, all that needed to be shown was the meg doing objectives while invincible and the perks that could be run to further exacerbate that. I am sorry if you cannot understand the potential.

Okay but you don't have to be so condescending, I understand completely what you're saying COULD happen, but the fact of the matter is, it did NOT happen. Meg would've finished that gen regardless of if she had DS or not because she used the endurance from BT to do it. She wasn't relying on her DS because she risked a 360 that the killer actually missed, which is the ONLY reason she made it to the locker. She would've been slugged otherwise WITHOUT Unbreakable. This is NOT a survivor abusing the perk, this is the killer making a mistake and being punished for it. I am sorry that YOU cannot understand what I am saying :)

  • @DaKnight said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1670382#Comment_1670382

I don't see how that is relevant. Just because he decided not to bring in the build doesn't mean it does not exist, or that it is not used. This clip is literally 2 perk slots from being everything I wanted it to be. It is halfway there. I almost don't believe people arguing against me have played killer into the 4 man SWFs running all of this along side instant medkits and potentially keys.

Bro I main killer and have been consistent rank 1 for a long time, I've gone up against my fair share of 4-man sweat squads. Yes, communication like that breaks the game, but we all know this by now, and quite frankly I think people are getting sick of the same old "aw 4-man swf no fun as killer :(" posts. The game is balanced for solo survivor whether anyone likes it or not. Besides, people need to stop acting like it's impossible to beat 4-man SWFs with meta perks. You CAN beat them if you're good enough.

My problem with this post was that you're complaining about something that isn't shown in the clip. Why show a clip of a Meg who is unhooked with BT and uses the endurance to finish the FIRST gen of the game? The killer also hooks 2 other people quickly after that. This clip does NOT show any DS uses, Unbreakable and/or Soul Guard uses, so why use this as your example? 3 hooks this early as Trapper of all killers is a really good start for him. Maybe I have a hard time believing you play killer enough to know exactly what you're talking about.

  • This is pretty standard DBD. I don't see anything bad about it. Meg was hooked, the other guy was hooked, some other person then traded by unhooking and going down. Trapper also missed the swing from the 360 so it's the killers fault that Meg was able to get to the locker for DS.

    @DaKnight said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1670196#Comment_1670196

You must have missed that whole unbreakable part, you know, which can be paired with soulguard to just stand up in front of the killer penalty free or even baited.

There was literally no Unbreakable or Soul Guard in the clip. Don't try and bring up things that didn't happen for your argument.

  • Really, @ClickyClicky? You needed something new to complain about and you chose kobes?

  • This is the equivalent to 4 survivors hiding the whole game and not doing gens. Would you enjoy that as killer?

  • @Mahlugg said:

@calem To give you a really specific example, I am really bad at jungle gym loops (I know the loop is survivor favored but I always get to pick wrong paths and killer cuts in the way) but I can't practice it because it ends before it starts. Because killer knows it. What I mean is my place should be rank 10 where a jungle gym loop starts at least.

My tips would be to always look behind you to see what the killer is doing. If, like you say, the killer predicts your pathing and cuts you off, why not run the opposite direction? Make sure to always keep tabs on the killer's pathing and what they are doing. Some loops are always going to be a 50/50 mind-game and that just comes down to pure guess work.

But watch YouTube videos on how to loop tiles if you don't have anyone to practice with in a KYF.

  • You: "Every" killer has a "global" "audio" cue.

Proceeds to list Hillbilly, Leatherface, Pig, Spirit, Legion, Ghostface, and Blight who do not have a "global" "audio" cue.

But more seriously, I've never heard anyone say it's unfair that it's easy to tell when Demo is teleporting. Demo's probably one of the most well-balanced killers in the entire game. It's very easy to tell what killer it is based on the information you've listed so I don't think it's unfair for any specific killer.

  • Well, yes you can improve and it's not the doing of the ranking system. You've only played since May so I wouldn't expect you to be as good as 2000+ hour players who have been playing the game since release. It honestly just sounds like you're setting these extremely high expectations on yourself for no reason. I also have ~600 hours and have been consistently rank 1 for both survivor and killer for months. Just keep playing the game and you will get better with experience. You even said "I am having more fun in the game as my knowledge and skills improve.", which only happens if you keep playing.

P.S.: The red ranks (especially survivor red ranks) don't really indicate how good the player is. For survivors especially, being red rank means they've just put in heaps of time to play heaps of games since the last reset. It's extremely easy as survivor to get rank 1.

That's too bad haha, I for one love playing against Oni. Being chased by him whilst he's using his power is some of the most intense, adrenaline-fueled fun in the game.

  • @katoptris said:

I find that funny especially when you could easily jump over a pallet. A huntress is alot more annoying to deal with especially the hixboxes. The only other killer that I know causes disconnection is doctor. The problem is you down the Kate quickly. You're not supposed to down her that fast. You're suppose to let them escape and do bad in game. I'm gonna assume they don't like going up against a pro slinger.

Yeah, I sensed it was because I downed the Kate pretty instantly. God forbid you can't loop a specific killer for 5 gens!

  • Aside from DBD, it's mainly Overwatch with a little bit of League of Legends (thought I only play that with my roommates because they want me to join). DBD is definitely my main game however.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Taking something from a franchise popular by mostly kids and throwing it into an M-rated game like DBD doesn't sound like a good idea, imo.

Which is also a huge reason I am against the whole Springtrap thing.

But the reason the game is M-rated is so little kids don't play it. I don't see any issue here. Plus, FNAF is rated "PG-13 for disturbing/violent content, some language, and horror", pretty much on-par with what is in DBD, though not as much blood-and-gore. It's up the parents to monitor what their kids play.

  • I semi-main Pig but I don't really consider her a 'stealth' killer. I use the M&A/Whispers combo to sneak up to survivors on gens when close enough, but that is the extent of utilising her undetectable status. The only time she should be using her ambush is when looping an unsafe pallet. Without add-ons, she is manageable. Wraith however NEEDS add-ons to be successful which is why I think he is the weakest killer on this list.

  • The main problem I have with the devs is that their priorities are completely whack. How long have people wanted Ebony Moris and keys changed that they just ignore? What about map balance changes (for both sides), like Ormond, Haddonfield, The Game? What about Iridescent Head Huntress (and other busted add-ons that have been untouched for a very long time)? Then they added the shitfest that is the Midwich hold W simulator map. I, along with many others I know, would like them to FIX what is currently in the game rather than adding NEW things that will ultimately need fixing in the future.

  • @timbologna said:

Calem is a survivor main clearly. Dont value his input.

Lmao what makes you say this? All I did was explain how DS works. But sure, please assume I main survivor :^)

  • Let me explain it for you since you are new. Decisive Strike (abbreviated by the community to DS) is active for 60 seconds after the survivor is unhooked, and it can only be used once per trial per survivor. After 60 seconds, it deactivates and the survivor can't use it. If you literally let them bleed out on the ground for 4 minutes then yes, you did a boring thing and forced them to wait as long as possible before the game was over. After you're sure a minute has passed, pick the survivor up and hook them.

Holding the game hostage IS a bannable offence, but it's more catered towards survivors who do it by stealthing around everywhere and not doing gens. There's a good reason they have the bleed out timer so killers can't hold the game hostage for too long.

Don't take it to heart, you're new and understandably don't know how everything works yet, just next time remember DS is only active for 60 seconds as soon as the survivor is unhooked.

TTV is diff than fansonly....I get advertisement, but stop perving up my wholesome DBD 😂

I mean whether anyone likes it or not, the sex industry is gigantic and makes billions of dollars per year, way more than Twitch would. Just learn to ignore it if it bothers you. It's not hurting anyone by reading their name.

  • I think all Trapper needs is to make his Trapper Bag add-on part of his base kit (start with 2 traps, carry 3 maximum). He's still a very high-risk/high-reward killer with huge snowball potential, so you'd need to be careful when giving him buffs.

  • They're advertising their OnlyFans through their Steam name, same thing that .ttv does for Twitch streamers. Not sure why people care (no one is forcing anyone to look at it) but yeah, that's what it's for.

  • Alert is definitely way better imo. It lets you know where the killer is more often, which pallets have been used, and lets you know someone else is in a chase. Dark Sense only gets value a maximum of 5 times and doesn't provide additional info like Alert does.

  • I am a killer main and I am fine with the Pop nerf. It's probably necessary since I run Pop on literally every killer (similar to how much old Ruin was used, except you can't disable the killer's Pop).

The rest of them seem fine. I am glad they are finally buffing weak perks since the survivor meta is DS/Unbreakable/BT/Adrenaline/DH and maybe one or two other perks.

Can't make judgements about Thana yet since we don't know how much they're changing the values. Also sick of everyone immediately going to "omg these perks are still BAD! Pop is RUINED!" when it hasn't even been released on the PTB yet. Everyone needs to chill and just see how it goes.

  • I assume you mean that if the killer has 3 Hex perks (including Haunted) and NOED, and the survivors cleanse the dull totem, would NOED be activated? The answer is no, it wouldn't, since there isn't any dull totems on the map (5 totems, 4 of them would be hexes). But you said if Haunted was cleansed, then yes, NOED would activate. Because once you cleanse the first Haunted, the other disappears (unless you also have Undying).

  • I used to main Plague. But it's near-impossible to do well with her now unless you get either A). insanely lucky with CP spawn and survivors being grouped or B). potato survivors. The frustrating thing I find with her right now is the weird arc and lag issues with her vomit (both VP and CP). I also noticed this weird bug if you cancel VP too early, no vomit comes out (even though a little bit should) and you have to wait a second or two to use it again.

Overall though I think she's in a terrible state right now. I do not like how survivors dictate if she can use her power or not. The 1 corrupted well they gave her as a "buff" is hardly noticeable unless some very specific coincidences happen, but that is extremely rare.

  • Better hitboxes and servers, changing keys and ebony moris, balancing the maps a bit more (specifically Ormond, Haddonfield, and most Coldwind maps to be less survivor-sided, and then probably The Game to be less killer-sided, and Midwich just in general cause it's terrible for everyone).

  • I'm sure they know how survivor-sided it is. It's why they abuse things like the Asylum main building and DS/Unbreakable combo, just to name a few. Most of them are cocky and can't wait to say "ggez" when I am playing Huntress on Lery's or Ghostface on Blood Lodge. It's just a fact of gaming to get used to toxicity and abuse of strong metas.

  • Not something I am experiencing. Feels the same as usual. Obviously you're gonna get Red Forest more than things like Lery's or Midwich since there are multiple Red Forest maps and only 1 of certain others. I don't think it's a bug, just a bit of coincidence.

  • Way too many maps that suck for killer. Ormond, Haddonfield, Midwich, Cowshed, probably a bunch more I can't think of right now. Whereas by comparison maps that usually suck for survivor are Shelter Woods, and arguably Hawkin's (good survivors can still easily win on Hawkin's), but that's about it. They did remove a lot of god-infinite-loops, but there are still things that need changing.

  • Um, Nurse and Spirit are objectively the best 2 killers in the game. It's why they are the only two killers you ever see in competitive tournaments. If one is banned, they go to the other killer and vice versa. Nurse's ability to end chases so quickly is why she's so good. And her ignoring the survivors ONLY form of defence is why she is so hard to play + why she fatigues after EVERY blink.

Saying her add-ons are "a straight joke" makes me think you don't remember versing pre-rework Nurses. 4 blink or omega blink Nurse was the bane of my existence. Especially 4 blink, it didn't matter if the Nurse was kinda bad she would have so many opportunities to keep blinking she would hit you regardless. Just use fatigue reduction and recovery time add-ons and it's just like old Nurse's base power.

While I agree her rework was pretty bad and could've been done way better, she is still the best killer in the game next to Spirit despite her bugs and clunky gameplay. Spirit is more consistent in my opinion because I don't think she is limited map-wise like Nurse is, but Nurses power is definitely better when mastered.

  • I'm gonna disagree with you on a few perks, and explain why:

    Hex: The Third Seal

The only issue this one has is the fact that once it's cleansed, it's gone forever. I'm sure we've all had a few games where we can't find Hex: TTS and it's absolute chaos. Slugs are everywhere but you can't find them, someone's dying on their first hook, etc. I think a solution to this perk would be getting rid of it's Hex requirement and making only the last 2/3 survivors you have hit. Adding an Oblivious status like you suggested earlier I think is overkill and would make this way too strong while it's active.

    Coulrophobia

While I agree it's very situational, we need SOME niche perks in the game. And I think Coulrophobia is useful enough to keep it's spot. It works wonders on a big TR Doc build I like to use (Coulrophobia / Distressing / Sloppy Butcher / Thanatophobia and double Calm add-ons), especially on small maps. But overall, while it may seem useless in normal gameplay, it serves a good niche spot that I think we don't need to change.

    Iron Maiden

You said it's good on Huntress and Doc (I agree, I play those 2 killers a lot), but I think it's way more useful than you're making it out to be. For starters, I like to use it on Bubba (more so after the buff than before) because survivors often try and go in lockers when your chainsaw is coming for them. Iron Maiden then lets you get maybe 2 max instadowns with your M1 if the survivors aren't potatoes. Plus, it can force them to not run into the locker at later stages of the game, letting you chainsaw them. Other than those 3 killers, I like it's anti-Head On niche. I've made surprising amount of use in that certain situation (survivors like to run Head On cause it's FUN). It also gives information if they hide in lockers to avoid BBQ.

    Thrilling Tremors

This perk is seeing a lot of use in top tier play and in competitive DBD. The cooldown is fine in my opinion, any less and it's overpowered. I'd trade in BBQ for Thrilling any day of the week if I didn't need the bloodpoints from BBQ. This perk isn't countered by lockers, Distortion, being too close, or new auras being terrible.

    Surge

I feel like so many undervalue Surge. I LOVE it. It's super underrated. I think on it's own, yeah it's not the greatest. The regression isn't much and it's only basic attacks. BUT, if you use it in tandem with something like Ruin and/or Surveillance, Surge gets great value. With Ruin active, you get an extra 8% regression on top of the 200% from Ruin. With Surveillance, you don't have to worry about kicking the gen for information. Also, for a bit of fun, pick Doctor and go to The Game. Use Surge, Nemesis, Dead Man's Switch and Distressing. Fun and niche build. Nemesis lets you hook your obsession way more frequently for Dead Man's Switch value, Surge forces survivors near you off gens, Distressing for the larger TR Static Blast to get people off gens for DMS value.

    Hex: Retribution

Again, I think this perk is underrated and I love it. On it's own, it seems like it does nothing (although the Oblivious from dull totems shouldn't be underestimated). But used in conjunction with other Hex perks, this one is amazing. One of my favourite combos is Ruin / Haunted Grounds / Retribution. 50% of the time, they'll cleanse Haunted Grounds and now you see where everyone is for 10 seconds. It's not too hard to get at least 2 instadowns from that. 25% you'll just get free info where everyone is, and the other 25% you'll lose Ruin. That kind of information shouldn't be laughed at. Obviously this perk was made to go with other Hex perks, and that's where it's the strongest.

I respect your opinions though and I love the effort you put into this post. I would love to see weak perks buffed because I am sick of the boring snooze-fest that is the current DBD meta. Pop, Corrupt, BBQ and X perk every game from killers, and DS, Unbreakable, Dead Hard, Borrowed Time every game from survivors.
