  • @CheersTC

why would not being in a chase matter. I thought that deep wounds wouldn't go down if you were sprinting

  • maybe I don't play enough survivor but the quality looks fine to me

  • i feel like this is less of a way to counter NOED and a way to just win the game lol

I really don't get all the love for this creature that I've seen recently. I mean, it's cool for the dude that made it that it has taken off but I just don't get the love for it at all. It's a tall thing with a siren for a head and it kills you, okay? It seems like something more out of SCP then anything.

What's next, a telephone pole monster that slowly absorbs your life force the more you talk on the phone, eventually turning into you, killing and then replacing you.

I know I'm being overly critical but I just don't get it and that makes me feel old. It like Slenderman all over again but the 2020 version.

ngl that telephone pole monster sounds pretty lit

    That’s dissapointing :(

I guess I just won’t play the game untill they release it with mid-chapter.

Is there a confirmed date for it though? The last one was closed ages ago. Don’t see the reason why a battle pass should have such a long delay in between.

no confirmed date yet, so i imagine a few weeks at least still

Q&A at the 23rd so they might announce the date then

  • people dc for plenty of reasons other than being downed or hooked. bad map? dc, killer you don't like to fight/survivors are better than you? dc. There is just no way to know if someone dcs on purpose or not.

  • @Sir_Child1234 Just to add to what everyone else is saying I suggest you watch this vid by scott https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfvciT6nnB8

  • i get that this is more of a venting post but since you are also talking about the dc timer I want to add my 2cents. I think it was a necessary addition. I mean sure getting dced and getting a timeout because you did nothing wrong feels bad but rampant dcs were SO common. Looped the killer for too long? dc, fighting a killer you don't like? dc, want to take away the killers points cause he downed you too fast? dc. Is their system for dcs working well? not really as this post proves but at the same time something had to be done.

  • yeah, keys need a change. I do still think there should be a way for survivors to leave the game other than dcing if the killer has an insane 3-gen or something. maybe hatch could stay open longer but there is a decent cooldown on multiple survivors entering it?

  • I WOULD LOVE THAT. Most times now if I want to play bubba or oni I just swap to deathslinger or wraith so i don't have to listen to anything.

  • unless i am sitting in the lobby for a while i just forget about it

  • As much as i want to like this i feel like a guaranteed NOED could have some problems. All i'm thinking in my head is a wraith just standing over his last thrill of the hunt totem not letting anyone cleanse it or chasing anyone and the survivors not popping the last gen so they don't NOEDED. Granted, keys kinda solve that issue but still a lot would need to be tweaked.

  • almost clicked "other" because i didn't see Bubba or leatherface anywhere

  • they have talked about swapping to an MMR based system, so i can only assume/hope that a change comes either in the mid-chapter or the new chapter update

  • @Reborn2020 killer is hard if you are fighting survivors that are as good/better than you that's it. though losing really badly can be a rare occurrence it doesn't really matter because a bad loss on killer where you get totally outclassed makes you feel like that there was nothing you or anybody else could do to win that game. Since there is no way to look at replays and it's hard to slow down and think as killer it can make it really hard for some people to learn what they could have done instead of thinking it's an impossible fight.

  • for me this is an easy yes. Not like dbd is lacking in things to grind towards, maybe I could afford to care about prestiging if this got changed

  • don't have a suggestion for fixing it, just wanted to say that that sucks dude.

Swamp is a broken Hatch map. I don't know if it can simply NOT spawn, but the stupid thing CAN spawn almost anywhere. That, in conjunction with the sound bug drastically (and unrealistically) muting sounds if there is an object between you and the source of the sound, makes hatch on swamps even more unfair than normal. Autohaven has a similar issue if the hatch spawns at a 4-wall maze tile.

Would love a rework of the hatch so it's less of a coin toss as to who finds it.

"spawn almost anywhere" aka only in the corner of the map. Don't get how anyone thought that was a good idea, I could probably count on two hands the amount of times I found hatch on that map NOT in the most hidden spot ever

  • assuming it is just two survivors left. I would point at the hooked guy, slowly walk towards while looking at the killer, point at the hooked guy again while nodding my head at the killer and waiting to see what he does, if he does nothing or nods his head i save, if he shakes his head then i slowly walk away.

  • as someone who doesn't play legion I really like the changes to deep wounds. Not sure how long the deep wounds timer is but losing 2 seconds COULD be spooky if they were doing some sorta impossible skillcheck build. PS just wanted to say great job on this list I would love to see some of these implemented, hope the devs take a look at this.

Very simple. NOED only works on people who did not clear a totem that game. That provides incentives to run hex builds that also give exposed, and provides incentives for survivors to clear totems, because unless your playing SWF on mic it's almost impossible to get survivors to clear totems unless they see ruin. So even if you take time to clear totems NOED will still appear at end game and you will most likely die to it.

i feel like the requirement of doing just one totem would be far to easy to get even if you didn't have a perk to find totems. For a change like that NOED would need to having something more added to it. Maybe it could slow totem times or show the auras of all affected either way it would need to have more effects if it could be countered so easily.

  • guess i'm in the minority for this one but i just feel like nurses on it's own is very hit or miss. Sure I might find someone healing in a corner and get an easy down but I might not, at the very least sloppy can slow the game without you having to do much

  • @Cradmeg said:

Well if its not a reportable thing , then tell me why the devopers added at the end of the game an option to report grieving due to unfair game play , amongst Other OPTIONS ?????????? I dont think they developed that option for nothing !

I feel like you put too many "!" and "?" for this to be a real complaint but either way the devs have said before that camping is a legit strategy.

  • yeah no this perk would be insane on all killers I could only see it working as a hex or not and lowering the numbers. dear god i don't even want to imagine what freddy could do with this. I don't see why hook bombs should be encouraged and I don't think campers care if they get an 8% regression penalty to gen speeds. Anybody camping at 5 or 4 gens left isn't doing it because gens go too fast, if anything this perk would just be a huge buff to all killers including the camping bubbas of the world.

  • because it's another thing to work towards i guess. I still prestige some of my killers just because i wanted the cosmetic and i know i won't buy anything for them,

Play nurse with a teleporting survivors... You will see how funny is.

I get nurse could be frustrating against lagging survivors but as long as there are dedicated servers and they aren't lag switching then i don't see how they could get anything done. As someone who has played survivor while lagging it is a terrible experience, skill checks are way harder to hit and knowing where your going is impossible. sure with nurse blinking on blinking survivors would be hard but at the same they are gonna have the reaction speed of a turtle.

  • for the spirit part, a lot of survivors find her to be unfair due to that fact that she has little counterplay in the way that you have no idea what she is gonna do. Same reason a lot of people are disliking fighting deathslinger. Chases with her can feel un-interactive because unlike the huntress or nurse survivors just have to more or less guess when she would use her power and if they guess wrong it's at the very least a hit.

  • I don't really see why they would need a nerf. Most times you can counter them by looking at a wall or baiting the flashlighter out and smacking them.

  • lag in no way helps a survivor. Not really sure what this post is about

As I said before everyone is free to believe what he wants to believe. These are my thoughts about them. You thinking something else and I respect your opinion for me these are the killers that I can't count easily. Also about the thing of tier 3 that you can't vault, I meant that he can shock you and you scream and that makes you unable to vault. The same thing about running. You scream and that slows the movement speed giving the doctor change to come closer. Also I am happing to hear that this add-on of spirit is removed. I have to count spirit a long time now

Screaming doesn't make you slow down. everything shock related the doctor does only slows him down

  • I believe that his intent of naming mostly slugging perks is that sfws could negate the blindness effect due to comms. Though I don't think any amount of those perks getting buffed would stop the 1% of sfws these changes would be intended for.

I gave the game a go by creating an account from one of the available countries, just to see what it was all about, it’s not bad for a mobile game and the way you obtain perks is completely different, I played it a few times one week but haven’t played it since. I signed up for the mobile version simply to get the charm.

Is the charm for mobile only or is it for pc as well?

  • He is very boring for the majority of people. His addons combined with some perks while not as bad now can still slow the game to a crawl. His power as well can be seen as very simple and overtuned, allowing him to place snares down (or dream pallets) teleport to gens as well as the fact that bt may as well not exist against him.

From the Rules & Conditions thread (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/141914/rules-conditions-in-game-cosmetic-contest-2020#latest)

    "JUDGES

Members of the Dev team will vote for the 30 best designs.

Final decision will be made by a panel including the Creative Director and Art Director."

As for the timeline of when they would be released, nothing has been announced. Any time frame goes. The previous cosmetic contest winners came in the last Rift, about 6 months from the end of the contest, so it will take a while to see them in-game.

    Thank you!

  • they did ask about that on one of their surveys so at least it's on their mind. Hopefully they can setup something like that before the next rift is out

  • Yes, the rift days will be reset to ninety days when it comes to the official version
