Rank 1
Hard to choose, I rarely play one killer for more than a few games in a row but I would have to say Demo. The simplicity of his kit and the fact he can run STBFL makes me really enjoy playing him
Only Demo addon I use is rat liver
-
plenty of people derank and smurf in this game. You also will have the survivor mains who sometimes play killer and their rank will always be low due to rank reset
-
it is. coming in the next patch I think

Blame yourself and the devs. I can't tell you how many times survivors crawl to some corner of the map when i slug because they have DS then they get pissed that i can't find them because they are sound bugged on the ground after LITERALLY 2 ######### YEARS OF THIS BUG NOT BEING FIXED
not the kind of bleeding out I mean. But yes survivors crawling into Narnia just to waste time is very annoying

When I'm on someone getting off hook, even if I am pretty sure they don't have Decisive or Borrowed Time, I will let them go in favor of uninjured, unhooked survivor. And in the endgame I will purposely leave hooked survivors because I will feel like a dick for camping them. Am I being too nice? Am I handicapping myself?
play the game however you enjoy it

Survivors can do the same thing, just hide and not do objectives if both want hatch or are working together to waste the killer's time. This isn't "whataboutism" but similar problems need to be fixed at the same time on both sides. Frankly it's just an act of toxicity like tea-bagging and refusing to until the last second or killer hits them. There's not much you can do about it, plus with this Killers would be encouraged to run slugging builds in more competitive games to encourage survivors killing themselves so that they would have an advantage.
It'd also make it so that slugged survivors could kill themselves to allow the other to get hatch, which I feel is unfair considering how advantageous the hatch setup is for the survivors and sluggging one of the two last guys is really one of the only counters to it.
Personally I feel like they have to use a system that looks out for this, to see if one sides trying to waste the other's time and only that and punish them for it.
I would cry tears of joy if they ever added a fair system to help against survivors that hide for the sole purposes of extending the game

Decrease the bleed out timer to 2 minutes, exactly the same time as two hook states.
If neither side can pick the Survivor up in that amount of time or they are constantly being slugged I'd think most would clearly just want to move onto the next game.
4 minutes is excessive and unneeded.
Problem solved.
Now that is a solution I like

Now for my serious response.
Slugging is a legitimate pressure tool required against strong survivors at high level play. In a lot of instances the killer DOES intend to come back and hook slugs.
A “bleed out”/“surrender” button would be abused to deny killers hooks that a killer does intend to do shortly after slugging.
If a survivor WANTS to minimise the amount of time they are left on the ground so that the killer DOESN’T lose the slugged survivor, they should either:
a) stay right where they are, or
b) if they choose to crawl away for strategical reasons, but it becomes apparent the killer has won and the slug cannot be rescued and cannot find Hatch, they should STOP crawling so that the AFK crows start showing up so they killer can find them.
It’s a double standard for survivors to complain about being left on the ground for long periods of time if the survivor is doing what they can on the ground to make being found by the killer really difficult.
I'm not saying that slugging is a bad thing to happen. I do it constantly. I just want to stop situations where a killer can stand over a survivor watching him bleed out just because he wants to waste time. I have no idea how stop something like this from being abused but if there was a way. I would want it added to the game.

haven't to be Haddonfield in while now. Unless you count map offerings in which case I was sent there 3 times in a row last night

There's probably a point system that could be integrated into it. But the main problem that i've been having is that your rank goes up no matter what but based on what you do it will go up slower or faster. I haven't won a single match in a long time no matter who i play as and people have told me the only way to make my rank go down is if i simply don't play the game. Given where my rank is it will be a year of not playing the game before i am going up against people i can handle. So i believe there needs to be a system that will make your rank rise and fall faster. I'm pretty sure i'm not the only person having this problem. I like the game and i want to have fun but haven't had fun in over 6 months of playing and have even considered quitting the game entirely.
I absolutely see where you are coming from. This games ranking system is a huge mess and I can understand your frustration. Hopefully the MMR system they want to add can do anything to fix the imbalance of skill from people in the same rank. Assuming they ever actually get around to adding MMR to the game that is
-
I think deathslingers might have changed. I can't open dbd to look at it now but here is an older video with his prestige weapon
-
just off the top of my head I could see this ranking system being troublesome for survivors because escaping does not equal skill. As a survivor you need to put yourself at risk to complete the generators and escape. I believe the current ranking system does try its best to reward players for putting themselves in danger and doing gens. Your ranking system seems to help the survivor hiding in a corner waiting for hatch rather than the people doing the gens or looping the killer.
I am forming this opinion based on the belief that you mean to say that only the survivors who escape rank up. If you instead meant that if all survivors escape they rank up I also see an issue with that.
It would be fine to require all survivors to escape in order for them to rank up if it was not extremely easy for the killer to facecamp one person and kill them off thus preventing the rank up of all survivors.
Also the requirement of the killer needing to kill all four survivors is a bit too much. Hatch would either need to be removed or you would need to change your requirement of 4 kills down to three kills. As of now getting a 4k is more a test of luck. Even if you slug the third person it could still result in a 3k
-
every item except for flashlights, sabo only toolboxes and firecrackers should be removed. Every add-on that gives a flat out buff to a killer power should be removed

But that's not fair bc what if I need to take the last hit which will put me into the dying state to save the survivor or either taking the hit while using medkit stpytc agent
fair or not that's what it is. if you didn't lose collision, any time you were stuck in a corner with a killer it would be an instant down. I think it's a good mechanic that can help both sides
-
It can do some work but imo the perk is far too unreliable to really be good. On an indoor map it can do well to hide hooked and slugged survivors but if the map is open enough the survivors will just see you slugging and hooking. Worst of all it's a hex perk so it can just be destroyed. Third seal can be affective but it can also be countered really easily
-
Just take out the hatch already. I'm not sure how but they really need to change endgame. you either luck out with getting / closing the hatch, then it all depends on how close or far apart the gates are. It's not fun and feels like a big waste of time. You might also get the people that slug for the 4k then it's just a bad time all around
-
what's the fun in winning if you don't have to work for it? If you got anything important for winning in this game then maybe I'd care. As of right now I enjoy the struggle that comes with winning more than the win itself
-
They are working on an MMR system that SHOULD stop things like this from happening but who knows if it's even gonna work this time
-
Doc. he'll always be my favourite character just due to his theme and laugh
-
A tie between Freddy and GhostFace. With Freddy I'll be in a 20 minute game no matter who wins and the majority of Ghostfaces I fight are just the worst kind of players
-
demogorgon. I do well with oni but better with demo
-
If it aint out yet I doubt they plan to add it in. Besides you can already make yourself bloody if you take the time to do so.

play long and 20 matches.
easiest way to do it is to afk at a corner invisible wraith but this will give u less xp but its autopilot
i can get nearly 1 thousand iridescent shards in one day if i tryhard
nevermind so youre most likely not going to get 1.380 unless you spend midnight and most of tomorrow playing dbd
why 20 matches specifically?
-
No. You would be taking survivors ability to change for no reason. Killers can't swap because they still are planning on implementing killer based ques.
-
@WalkedMoss92 I feel you man. I did the exact same thing about a year ago. But I only thought it worked because of how many people I slugged that didn't make noise

Did restarting the game change anything? I remember seeing someone on the subreddit that had this happen. He couldn't get into a game and when he restarted he lost all the extra ptb stuff

i have seen this one already but it didnt help a whole lot as the part that im struggling with he just says to fell out and the facing a random direction after a demon strike just doesn't come up.
The facing a random direction after a demon strike is a semi recent bug

https://youtu.be/KfvciT6nnB8 watching this helped me out a lot.

Honestly impressed that anyone understood you meant spies from the shadows from your post. Haven't even thought about that perk after my first 20 hours in this game
-
I wish Freddy would just get stuck in one of his own nightmares and never wake up. Easily one of the most boring killers to play/fight. Though I suppose it fits the lore for him to be putting me to sleep
-
T-bagging and whatever meaning you give it is a complete social construct and if it was ever removed something else would just take it's place
-

I mean honestly. I feel like there are way too many ways to hold the game hostage for a dc penalty. Why should I be punished if I don't want to wait until egc comes after being locked in a corner. Of course there are plenty of people who just dc for no reason but I still think the punishment is a tad much. Maybe just leave the timer at a static 5 with no increase? Or add better ways to deal with game hostage situations and keep the penalty as is.
-
I think this is more general terrible matchmaking than a swf thing. Just going as solo survivor I often get these lobbies (rank 1). Though most of the time the killer is near my rank and my teammates are yellow/greenish
-
honestly mate don't be afraid of dragging down your teammates as survivor with any of the quirky perks you wanna use. In soloq your perks matter less then if you can run around a loop for more than 10 seconds. If you can you are already better than 90% and if not, nobody expects much from their soloq teammates anyway.

what about this has to do about money. A feature like this would get abused. I know I would use it so I don't fight any Freddie's or ghostfaces and I'm sure many others would do the same.
-
It was leaked that they will be coming to live on the first of December
-
Because the ranking system is terrible. It's so easy to get pips and even easier to keep pips. Something really needs to change
-
Absolutely not a perk that did that. Also no one gonna mention the gens popping in seconds?

they already made a twitter post about it. They say it will be taken away in the next patch or so

3k but if I have fun with the survivors I don't really care about kills
-
Getting rid of the popup of a gen pop, gen explosion or hooking of a survivor. All it does is make you not know where the killer is after a hook and no idea where to throw a hatchet after a gen pop. At least make it see through or something
-
Pretty sure it's working as intended. She was just bugged where you could hear her breathing but they patched it.
-
Because people fight more good spirits than amazing nurses. I personally think they both have their problems but no one plays nurse so no reason to complain
-
I really don't think these things should be compared
-
I'm going to assume you mean the rocks on Yamaoka. Quite a few of those rocks are known to be scuffed. Really wish they would fix them

You will be given the bloody outfit. They only shelved the old non bloody prestige rewards

Popping nearly two gens in the first couple minutes. What I get from that is "We wAnT oUt Of dA MaTcH NoW" Like seriously how is it any fun. I can handle rushers relatively well but it's the most boring brain dead game I could imagine. Chase this person, down them, gen pops. Chase next person, down them just as quickly as the first, 2 gens pop. Rinse and repeat. I don't see how it is fun having little to no interaction aside from sticking to gens like a fly on a cow pie. It isn't a tournament.
How on earth could you see nearly 2 gens popping in the first few mins as gen rushing. It takes 80 seconds to do a gen. You aren't describing some provethyself toolbox gamers. You are just playing against normal players that hold m1 because they have nothing better to do.
