No. I don't like perks that can be used once/possibly not even used at all.

"Dev-approved cheating?" Give me a break. It's not cheating, full stop.

@SenzuDuck I wanted to take a moment and tell you that I appreciate your thread. And for everyone commenting, I am impressed by the way you guys put your ideas without falling into accusations and dismissing anyone's idea because they are a ''whatever'' main.
Thanks for being great contributors to this Community. This is the kind of thread we don't hesitate to share directly with our Design team. Lots of well put feedback and ideas.
Keep at it, you are awesome!

hardwire...never connect with wifi
That's weird, sorry :( In a couple games I have rubber banded for like 10 seconds but that's really the only problem I've had since the change

The change for me is that from 150-200 ping i play with 70-90 but with lots of spikes...
Are you wifi or hardwired?
-
I agree. His name is Trapper, after all, not Trapfinder!
-
Working great for me!
-
There's been zero change for me. Much smoother game play, though.

No. It's super easy to know when killers are nearby and start moving before they can do anything. It's an unnecessary perk. It's only helpful vs Ghost Face and silent bell wraith. Neither of those are common enough for me to have a mediocre perk instead of something more useful in the rest of my games.
That's just not true. It's also good against Myers, Pig, Hag or any killer with Monitor and Abuse, Spirit. It's good against any killer but those ones specifically. You can't always see or hear the killer, especially before they see you. Not to mention the 6% speed boost could shave off the couple seconds' difference that means finishing a gen, totem or gate.
-
Yes, almost always unless I'm doing a special build.
-
Ruin should remove great skill checks entirely. In addition to its current PTB effects.
I've suggested some of those toolbox changes before and I mostly agree. I'd rather the devs get inventive with toolboxes and add ons than take the easy way out of making repairing faster.
Other add ons could make it so there's no gen explosion and notification when you miss a skill check, the gen will not regress for 15-30 seconds after you stop repairing (a soft counter to new Ruin, PGTW, etc), and blocking aura read changes (soft counter for Surveillance, Discordance), and so on
-
Nah. I've had zero new issues since their release and got to experience the joy of a rage quitting killer not deleting the last 15-30 minutes of my time.

Lol what dude? Whispers is a great perk for early and end game. Maybe try playing something other than meta.

Iβve been playing this game for over a year and 3 months I have everything I could want on my nea and ranking means nothing in fact if I rank down Iβll just have better games even more easy
You're not actually addressing what I'm saying and continue to make no logical sense. I'm done.

Not trolling being 100% honest survivor will be a cake walk now
So if that's your opinion, your response is to make it even easier and thus get less XP and bloodpoints and depip yourself? Your logic makes zero sense. It's almost as if you're being completely disingenuous.

I started with like 190 or something, I just never used or bought them on the web unless they were on the path of something I wanted or my only option, I didn't view them as fun for either side. But again. Surviors don't seem to give a ######### about my fun and haven't in a long time.

You don't know me, this is going to make me feel a WHOLE lot better. Misery loves company, and if BHVR is going to screw over this many killers, I feel it's only fair to let the survivors feel the pain too.
K. Have fun being miserable!
-
Oh and Mad Grit, my favorite π Nobody expects Mad Grit π
-
I'm not a killer main but I play fairly often. I only use Ruin when I have very few perks on either a new killer or a prestiged killer. There are so many better, more consistent and funner perks to choose from like PGTW, CI, Whispers, STBFL, BBQ, Nurse's, etc, etc

Do you guys plan on doing this anytime soon ? Also thx for the reply!
They've been talking about it for several months now. I'm assuming it will have to be done before they try to implement cross play but I doubt it'll be anytime soon. Stranger things have happened, though
-
Doubtful. The occasional free cosmetics and charms are probably the best we'll get.
-
Lol no.
-
Clown and Plague are toxic. And biohazard skin Nurse.
-
Also i don't think the token system is necessary because you can't be unhooked more than twice.
-
Cool idea! Definitely an improvement. Would be nice combined with Deliverance, Breakdown and DS haha
-
There's forms of taunting your opponent in virtually every single game ever made. Get over it.
-
People have suggested Adrenaline nerfs. Many times. Why do people act like just because there aren't 5 topics a day posted about something that nobody ever talks about it?
The reason there aren't a hundred topics about it? Because most people realize that it is balanced. Not everything you personally don't like needs to be nerfed.
-
Doctor is not better than Wraith or Trapper. Probably on par with Clown. They could rework literally anyone and there would be people frothing at the mouth to complain.

3 people working on a gen with resilience can really finish a gen crazy fast.
All that does is remove 9% of their 10% co op repair penalty. Add in Prove Thyself and it's faster yeah, but they're all one shot and working on a single gen..

Don't confuse the rift with the archive challenges, the challenges are free for everyone. Hopefully they will change those challenges to prevent "bad" play.
The only bad thing is that some survivors ruin even the good challenges. 10 hook saves doesn't mean farm your teammate right in front of the killer, but thats what happens when people are trying to rush thru these challenges.
Yes, but you need to complete the tome to advance on the rift. You could technically do it by just playing the game and gaining xp but that would take forever

I didn't say it would change gameplay. I just meant that it would take a lot more explaining and story to have it make sense of why two people who were previously friends/family/etc would now be pitted against each other in a murderous arena.
But that's.. part of writing. There's 3 months between chapters. I think they can handle a slightly more complicated story seeing as they're probably 2-3 pages long total.
@OnryosTapeRentals said:

I dislike most of the licensed characters for aforementioned reasons.
This just doesn't make any sense. Their lore is already pre written lol
-
It's "fair" and not OP, but I will never view it as anything other than a crutch.
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:
I prefer that the killers and survivors largely remain unknown to each other.
Having killers and survivors be affiliated through there lore could make things unnecessarily complicated.
In what way would things become complicated? It has zero effect on gameplay, it's just a few paragraphs of back story that you can read once and never again. Maybe some more if they're ever featured in a tome.
-
People hate certain survivors because they have a few bad experiences with them so they begin to notice every time a Meg is toxic or a Dwight is useless and ignore the Megs and Dwights that play normally. It's called confirmation bias. I'm pretty sure literally every single survivor has been called toxic or trash at some point by somebody. The survivors that do not get called toxic as often (Jeff, Jane, Tapp, Adam, for instance) are because they are less popular characters. They are also newer DLCs as compared to Laurie, and Nea and Meng (keep in mind they come with the console versions, too).
Meg, Claudette, Dwight, Jake, Nea and Meng are the most popular characters because they've been around the longest, are free for all or most players, and most of the older teachable are better than more recent ones. They will be more likely to be played and therefore more chance of toxic or bad players.
Case closed.
-
I think most of the changes are buffs. I'm excited.
-
Sounds like either you don't like the game/playing as killer or you're not willing to learn to adapt to a new game. Dead by Daylight isn't like most video games where you are near godly the second you boot it up. It isn't like most video games at all, in fact. Either give it more time and see if actually learning the mechanics will make the game appealing to you, or play something else. The fact that you're complaining about Spirit isn't a good sign though. She's one of the easiest and also deadliest killers in the game.
-
They should make map offerings secret.
-
@GrootDude said:
I donβt think her prestige matters much since you can level a killer up without playing them but Iβm also ready for dc penalties.
Yeah but I personally would not use a fully prestiged skin on a killer I wasn't great with. I won't even buy cosmetics for a killer unless I'm pretty good with them. Otherwise I'm wasting money on a character I suck with lol. It's embarrassing to me. But everybody's different
-
HOT πππ
-
Wraith is pretty good and definitely underrated but in no way does he need a nerf.
When you're being chased by him when he's invisible force him to uncloak almost completely at pallets before throwing them down. He'll waste a lot of time that way and he loses his speed boost unless he cloaks again.
-
For certain people almost anything you do that prevents them from immediately downing and hooking you = tunneling. If they keep falling for your DH then that'll probably cause it. Any decent killer just waits it out after the first time, though.
-
This is why it's good to play both sides. If not regularly, then check in with the other side's experience from time to time, especially after new DLC or balance changes. It helps stop you from becoming overly biased, even if you prefer one side to the other
-
It's probably 50/50. I don't think it should sever the connection on hook. That would make it a good perk but not OP. Maybe the other survivors lose your aura when you're hooked but you don't lose theirs.
-
I hope they add a few more drops for BL. Like those movable stairs in The Game and the ST lab. Maybe a broken staircase or two.

I personally think spine chill is overated. It's a good perk but once you get used to the game your eyes and ears are all you need.
From what I have seen It tends to make people stop what they are doing at the slightest hint of it lighting up.
If it flickers on and off then you know the killer isn't headed toward you, though. If it stays on for more than a couple seconds it's time to move
