DId I buy a PC game?

Coward because I want a level playing field? Jesus Christ the intelligence on full display in this thread.

coward because you are too scared to go against better players and improve, you are the kind of person who gets a bronze rank in a competitive game and complains when they cant stomp every match because if they do they will face competent players

If you can't accept the fact that people are better than you then disable your crossplay like the coward you are

If you can accept the fact that you have room for improvement then leave crossplay on

They have more than just those 4, and they aren't even considered 2nd-chance perks. It's just the community who whines when it's (mostly) used viably against them that make it seem like they're second chance when it's not.

getting up off the ground for free when the team would otherwise lose from being slugged, second chance

getting off the killers shoulder because they downed you and picked you up too soon after one of the two programmed second chances, second chance

getting to keep looping even after making a mistake that would have made you go down because of dead hard, second chance

entire team getting a health state which can also pick up from the dying state late into the game just by doing gens, second chance

Probably if that survivor didn't have Dead Hard they would have played differently.

I'm of the idea that people like to throw the term "second chance" around. The perks mentioned are fine imo, they should only be changed to not be abusable.

but thats the idea, while they are in the abusable state people shouldnt be allowed to run them together

I mean, I hope we can at least agree that those are too many BPs for such a way of playing.

(Even tho, I think that this should not happen and the Survivors messed up, but still...)

Its a high risk high reward strat, they won, get good around a strat that can be played around 100% by competent players

But its TOTALLY not an advantage when PS4, Xbox, and switch players are forced to play PC Huntresses and Nurses if they want to play with each other. What an absolute JOKE. Is this really what you guys had in mind when you did crossplay? To completely ruin the experience of someone just playing solo survivor?

BHVR isn't serious about crossplay. Its just a boon to their PC players at the expense of everybody else.

Oh and someone will surely be like u cAn tUrn It oFf. No you can't. Not without losing the ability to play with another consoles playerbase and a portion of my own consoles playerbase I previously had access to. SO thanks for that BHVR.

also lmao just use  cronusmax plus for keyboard and mouse on console or stop complaining

Now this is just really sad. And I feel really bad for Nohequin's vision. You hold a design contest, pick a winner, then alter the design to the point it's nearly unrecognizable, and do a really poor job at it as well.

    This is unprofessional.

Let's look at the original, winning design:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/HFF68U4GXOSL/egmdtxbx0aayt8g.jpg

We've got a few selling points:

Hoodie w/ a G / Hiphop design character on back.

    Dyed hair, hoodie.

    G String, low sweat pants.

Now here's what BHVR came up with:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/AF3IYMWA0UYU/egmdvs5waaa8nzz.jpg

    They added/removed:

    Earrings, not present in winning design;

Heart necklace, not present in winning design,

removed low sweatpants, CHANGED design on back of hoodie,

    no hoodie over her head.

And the best part of this all:

This is so amateuristic it won't sell. What will happen is it's will be put in a battle pass with other cool stuff so we kinda just get this for free, because we have to.

I want to add I understand it's BHVR's property change it as they wish, and they're not legally bound to give the creator what they want. But if you're changing it this much, just don't even hold a design contest.

Lost my credit. I strongly discourage future artists to not waste time on their """"contests"""".

Bruh just go somewhere else if you want something to get horny at they don't need to add thongs to their asymmetric 1v4 game

10k points is the absolute minimum, not counting stuff like Late Hooks or Late Sacrifices or Chase Score Events or Surprise Attacks. And well, 20k BPs is quite a lot for such a cheap way of playing the game. Thats also probably more than an average Survivor game.

Its more than the average survivor game if they only do gens or only get chased but survivors that go out of their way to cleanse totems, save and heal can average 20k easy and thats not including were gonna live forever

  • 2 perks because I can

Survivor perk: King of nothing, if you don't have an item held for 140/130/120 seconds gain a brown toolbox/medkit at random, depleting the charges on a item consumes the item and decreases the time needed to not have a held item by 20 seconds per rarity tier of the item depleted

Killer Perk: Cursed treasure, Spawn 1 addition chest at the start of the trial, whenever survivors complete a chest search expose all survivors for 35/40/45 seconds and reveal the auras of all chests to survivors for 5 seconds.

  • Games already dummy thicc they were just spending time optimizing for the next gen of consoles

  • honestly I think they need to buff surge with 2 of these or all of them

Make it apply by downing a survivor in any way

Make it not have a cooldown or have something like the longer its been since the last surge the stronger it is, example 8% on the first one but if the second one is 20 seconds later its 4%

Increase range to infinite but affects X amount of closest generators to increase reliability

  • survivors being able to equip 4 second chance perks that all have synergy with each other

  • huntress addon pass, hopefully not a butcher like hillbilly and nurse

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Not bannable or reportable. Surely not the most fun way to play, but sadly, since Perks like NOED and BBQ exist, he gets this to work AND gets loads of points with it.

he gets some points with it, a 4k in endgame would probably give around 10k without bbq and 20k with, an average game gives 32k-64k with bbq, if you think 20k is loads you must have some really low standards for a lot of bp

  • @Science_Guy said:

    "Second-chance"

If Survivors "shouldn't have" any perks that help them when they're downed/going down, killers shouldn't have any perks to help them down survivors. (Which would obviously be ridiculous.)

Thats shockingly unhelpful and unrelated, survivor second chance perks like the ones above have high potential to erase survivor mistakes, the main thing that killers punish to win the game,

heres an example of what I mean by calling them a second chance perk, Chase a survivor, mindgame them into making a mistake, injure them, catch back up, mindgame them into making a mistake, go in for the down, survivor uses deadhard and gets to keep going even though they made a mistake, thats a free second chance for the survivor even though they made a mistake

also the poll is about should they have the potential to have or equip 4 of the meta perks focused around second chances not about killer chase perks, (none of which are good so remove both I guess)

  • Are squids real

  • @mostlyghostly said:

It's really just a selfish argument. You have to remember that the only fun part of the game for the survivors is the interaction with the killer. It's bad for the health of the game if the deathslinger is able to kill the survivor with no real counterplay.

The biggest issue is that the counters to deathslinger are just general or situational really. 'Split up and do gens'. 'Find long wall loops'

I think every killer in the game needs to have a balanced 1v1, so that the survivor can get away if they outplay the killer, but the killer can kill the survivor if they outplay them. I then think the killer needs some sort of movement or pressure ability, because the game will just go by too fast otherwise. Hillbilly is a PERFECT example of this. He has a strong movement ability and good potential to instadown. Deathslinger is way to strong in the 1v1 but too weak in the 1v4.

TLDR: Killers should have their power equally strong in the 1v1 and the 1v4, not too strong in the 1v1 and too weak in the 1v4 like DS.

Killers being strong in the 1v1 or in the 1v4 makes them strong in the other and vice versa, deathslinger excels at mounting pressure by having short time efficient chases which helps remove some of the time the survivors can do objects by making them have to save, killers who can balance an entire team like legion by keeping them all injured or making them spend time on healing helps save time in chases or make up for the long m1 115% speed chases.

Deathslinger is more fun to play as a killer for the strong 1v1 potential rather than be mediocre at 1v1 and 1v4

  • well yes but you are a bit off on the numbers,

Double engravings makes hillbilly move at 310% speed

And double compounds make Blight move at 322% speed on the last token

The speed boosts are relative to there speed while already in there power

  • Having somebody 4% off hook and losing the game is annoying enough but increasing the chances so that it happens about 20% which means they unhook about 60% of the time someone uses their 3 attempts is annoying and wrong

  • honestly I wish indoor maps were more large building on one side of the map and the rest of the map is mostly normal, like have half the map be indoors and the other half be like a large garden or something other then indoor every corridor is 2 feet wide and everything sucks

  • Run with a plan, complaining because you didn't do the thing good survivors do is telling everyone that you aren't a good survivor

  • The reason huntress needed a hum was because she can down people with her ranged power and has unlimited range on it so getting hit with a hatchet from 21 meters away and going down was frustrating, deathslingers power has limited range and cant down on its own, even if you get someone at 16-18 meter range with monitor and no terror radius there is no guarantee nothing is in the way in the slightest to pull them all the way in and even then they would have to already be injured.

  • thats on you for not knowing, play better and learn from your mistake instead of complaining

  • @PubStar87 said:

The whole point of Iron Will is to remove your injured sounds. Stridor overrides that? BS. What other situation does this scenario even really possibly pertain to? Spirit ABUSES this technicality. It's way too easy to win as Spirit to begin with, then you nullify her one counter perk?

Who at BHVR has a rager for her so f'n hard?

    just play better

  • @Human_Giraffe said:

Ever since crossplay has been added to dead by daylight the game has gotten so incredibly un-fun. I haven't been able to play a single game without getting bullied and getting zero kills because I'm going up against a four man swf on comp. I play console and matches were fine before this. And it would be a different story if you could turn it off and on but the option to do this doesn't work! So I'm stuck getting legacy survivors that have 10,000 hours in the game and do five gens in less than 3 minuets. Please remove the computer side of crossplay as it makes games for console players unwinnable and makes the game unbalanced.

Magic trick time, go into settings, turn off crossplay

  • Thats just a different game, also 6 hits before going down save the best for last would like to have a word with you

  • Why do killers dislike survivors getting 4 extra second chances when the main way to down a survivor is to have them make a mistake or mindgame them into making mistakes

  • Just perks because I know my lore

King of nothing: not having an item for 180/150/120 seconds gives you a random brown item, (includes fire crackers during events with them), using all of the items charges destroys the random item

Trade off: Can transfer charges from one item to another with an efficiency rate of 70/80/90%

Open sesame: Save unhooking 2 survivors, completing 2 gens worth of repair, and cleansing 1 totem allows you to open the hatch as long as there are 1/2/3 survivors left in the match, the hatch closes behind you, if you are holding a key or map the aura of the hatch is also revealed to you and your teammates for 15 seconds

  • @JustZed32 said:

Breakout really isnt useless, you just probably want to take a protection hit once, also drop a pallet or something, whatever. Saboteur is actually useful when timed correctly+ there is a perk which shows hook's auras in range where surv was picked up.

saboteur does both show the auras in range and let you sabo a hook

  • im rank 1 on the ptb and my blight is level 50 from starting at 0 bp

  • nurse and billy are more rare because the devs slapped an addon rework with a rework to the base power to add a cooldown which not only removed most of the fun you can have with the killers but it also slows you down whenever you try to have fun

  • bbq is probably one of the best and most balanced killer perks in the game, it rewards hooking survivors, and it gives information on where to go next which helps incentivise not camping

Damn, I knew the new perks gave some good stats, but near double We'll Make It's heal speed?! I know what perks I'll be using from now on!

its including base 100% heal speed

  • I usually only camp tunnel and slug when the game is going too fast for the amount of pressure I can apply with the killer, this means it might be a 8 hook before anyone dies nurse game still at 5 gens or a pig game where someone is tunneled while 2 gens are left to make up for the loss in pressure

  • if stuff gets done too fast and I can play well enough to catch back up using camping tunneling slugging ill play that way

If stuff gets done at a rate at which I can play normal and give survivors a fair amount of hooks before anyone dies, ill play that way

it all depends on how fast gens fly, how much someone annoys me, and what killer im playing when Ill use those strats, however its my choice to use them not yours, im the one playing the killer, if you don't like how killers play then how about play it yourself and don't use those strats instead of whining to everyone else about it

  • neither work with his power as its not a basic attack or a basic attack miss, good for saving stacks for stbfl when you are good with his power

ugh, not quite lol. I'd give them overall a 3/10. But as I said, there's still....hope

up to 56% faster unhook, and healing speed is more then almost any single perk in the game and the stats stack, resilience + botany knowledge + desperate measures is up to 198% healing speed or 99% self care speed, 223% with leader

getting half of the charges back on an item is pretty decent but with addons becomes ridiculous, 60 charge medkit becomes 90 charges, 52 charge commodious toolbox becomes 79 charges which is 1 gen at 150% gen speed

Visionary just helps not waste time on maps with no indicators for gens, lerys, the game to an extent, midwich and hawkins and helps new players get a feel for where gens will generally spawn

None of them are terrible your mindset for using them are just terrible

No they aren't. And it's not because they are non meta. There's tons of non meta perks that are still usable and good.

We'll make it for example. While it's not seen every game it's still a good non situational perk with a powerful effect.

dragging you into this because 2 separate thoughts are too many for rn

  • honestly making it so the skeleton key opens doors for a certain amount of charges instead of hatch would make all 3 keys more dynamic in usage

  • @johndeen33 said:

First of all, pyramid head is the dumbest killer in the game. It completely removes an aspect of the game and is incredibly annoying to play against. Might aswell make a killer whose power just ######### disables pallets. He needs a slight cooldown after cancelling his power or something.

Facecamping is just so annoying to deal with. Every single I loop some bubba for like a gen or two atleast I end up getting facecamped and 99.9% of the time end up piping down. Also brainless killers usually combo the facecamping with noed so if you do the generators you get punished even more.

NOED is a joke of a perk and should reworked (Like show the exposed status right away when the last generator gets finished, all it needs.) NOED rewards bad gameplay and is just an overall dumb perk.

Keys and moris are both such a dumb aspect of the game it hurts my brain sometimes. There have been countless times where SWF tell their mates to stop struggling on the hook so they can just get an easy escape by just finding the hatch when there's still generators that need to be done.

Also moris just make the game pointless. Unless you want to sweat really hard it's nearly impossible to escape unless you are some insane coordinated SWF team. Even then it's hard asf. Gladly you can DC in the loading screen and avoid them.

Also ######### off with the "oh just do bones" and "oh if the killer facecamps then just do gens" comments. First, have fun finding all 5 of the totems on the swamps or the new maps, it's legit impossible.

Might aswell make a killer whose power just [BAD WORD] disables pallets.

    nurse?

  • how would hex undying work with haunted grounds, would it just change 1 totem or both totems to new locations

  • some killers just aren't viable anymore with game speeds which sucks but just play op things like nurse and dominate until things get better

  • even if it should be disabled it should be only EVER trigger once, 4 chances, from just having this perk is overkill second chance perks don't need to give even more chances

  • yes, the skill should be to place traps where they get triggered not spam the teleport key

  • @Vampirox said:
