The devs said they will take the opportunity for licensed killers if the option presents itself.

Why are you blaming the devs? They never said it was today. You got it in your head, by yourself that it was going to release today. You've only yourself to blame

Instead of an active ability, why not link the dream transition to his TR. 7 seconds of Freddy lullaby and you're asleep, he can't see your aura if you're in his terror radius so you still have stealth on your side until he wonders off. Add ons for the reach of his dream demon power can now relate to the radius size of his lullaby and most everything else can stay the same. Will solve people doing totems gens and healing in front of you and yolo saves.

I think borrowed time is the right and just answer to unhooking with a killer near by. It's the answer to the bad unhook problem and they've had it the whole time.CoolAKn said:Sometimes saves are made, believed to be safe, when the killer is hidden nearby with Insidious. Other times, the rescuer has Borrowed Time.
If the killer is stealth camping a hook that's a legitimate strategy that the other survivor fell for, so giving the unhooked a window of invulnerability is just chipping away more at the killers balance in the game -
Wraith using ghost add on at the school. Hook a guy or front of a house step inside the door stands still and uncloak facing the door. Moments pass and in comes a hero. I follow after he passes the door, I get the hook grab.
I'm already looking to drop this guy because hooked survivor's timer is running out. So I'm dropping him as hero two comes for the rebound. Grab again. End up with a sacrifice and two slugs from a camp -
Is this a new stream? Didn't get a notification on YouTube

Have done this. Usually with knock out, sloppy butcher, nurse's, and thanstaphobia

If you don't want to get camped at the beginning of a match I suggest you don't get caught first. That isn't a camping problem that is a git gud problem. Learn to stealth harder to quit getting caught right off the batZaije said:
I'm pretty sure everyone wants to play a game they purchased, I don't think anyone wants to be camped at the beginning of a match, which is why there are constant rants about it.apropos said:Well, OP, because you don't know what the other survivors in a given trial want, or even within the community at large, you can't speak on their behalf to agree with you to leverage your own argument. The rest of your points are good though; it's clear that there are some issues that hinder the fun of the game. I don't personally camp unless I've been body blocked, for me if a survivor body blocks, then they're gonna get face camped. As a rank 3 killer I'm guessing this surprises a lot of people, because oh boy, do the angry DM's flow afterwards.

Your fun isn't the killer's responsibility. And punishing campers has been tried and failed because of survivors abusing it. They came out with bbq and chili to incentivize not camping, but survivors complain about that. So instead why don't we just make skill checks and gen repair more complex instead of holding a button. Gives you something to simulate your mind instead of being bored.Zaije said:
How is camping a fine mechanic when it ruins the game for 4 people? It's like you didn't read the post and just copied and pasted the usual response about camping. Even if I live it's a boring game that makes me want to go play Civ. I didn't buy this game to do 2-3 gens and escape without ever coming in contact with the killer. No one should be camped with 5 gens left but it happens.and it's widely accepted as yea it sucks but you can punish the killer well he's punishing my gameplay by forcing me to play a repair simulator for the entire match. Why is everyone so against punishing campers in an alternative way, are the ones defending it the ones who do it? I never camp unless the survivors hook dive me before I can leave or the gens are done.Chroma said:camping is a fine mechanic face camping will get you like 1 kill and than patrol camping may, just maybe get you 2 kills.

When she enterss the phase walk you can see blood. But old blood not new (except with the add-on ofc)

They give bloodpoints to killers because they are essentially robbing the killers of the points they would earn. the rage quit bonus simply gives them a fraction of the lost points. There is no reason to reward your team for the failures of a rage quitter.Witchaven said:@Master said:
No, prevent Dcing in the first place by harsh punishments.btw, all survivors DCing gives the killer 2,5k BP and he loses all addons and offerings, seems fair eh?
Problem with your logic is what if someone crashes as opposed to just rage quiting / dropping, then it's going to punish for something that is out of their hands. They give killers blood points for survivors disconnecting, I say do the same for survivors too.
Rage quitting is a prevalent issue and simply using a ramp up punishment is more than enough to account for those playing on the moon with bad connections -
I've tried without success at using insidious to pretend I was one of the doctor's illusions.

They are, slowly. Swf isn't going anywhere, so they are bringing solo up to swf levels of play one update at a time. When all games are roughly like swf, then they will rebalance killersswitch said:They are planing to buff solo q surivovrs, at the same time i would like to see swf somehow nerfed.
if they dont remove swf atleast balance the game around it since at rank 1 every single lobby contains atleast 1 swf group. -
What the devs are doing is raising solo players to swf levels by giving them more information including ideas like kindred as standard gameplay. Once all games are like playing SWF, then they will balance killers around it
-
It was tried already and thoroughly abused by survivors.SentientSickness said:@Ihatelife said:
I love that idea, I would love too see some perk's to counter a toxic behaviour such as tunneling, camping etcIll think on it, though these are much harder issues to fix.
Off the top of my head, maybe something along the line of "if a killer is with 26 meters of a hooked survivor the hooks take longer (add 1 extra minute), but if they arent the hooks go faster (like 20-30 seconds less)
This would be a base change ide love to see tbh, helps with time issue a bit, but also screws of camping which is pretty toxic tbh. -
No, they were talking about making kindred part of the base survivor experience to better simulate the communication advantage SWF has. They are slowly rebalancing the game around SWF but have to bring the rest of the community up to that level by default.Utna said:@azazer said:
Swf isn't going to get balanced, they are buffing solo players to be on par with swf.Yup, I guess the new survivor perk with the auto-hook save (Liberate ?) is here to testify that ... I can't picture SWF survivor playing it ; but here's the problem: as a solo survivor, I can't picture me playing it either because it is so damn situationnal!

I'm inclined to think you are serious. You actually think you earned a trophy with a survivor still alive in game? No friend, that isn't what earned means. Or taking the game hostage.xMystic1 said:@thesuicidefox said:

Spoiled child? Are you kidding me try going for a 4K tombstone myers achievement in rank 6 without Ruin i [BAD WORD] earned that ######### and i get a petty brat holding the game hostage because he thinks hes being cute/funny. I dont bust my ass off at work to come home and bust my ass even more while playing a game and have all that hard work ruined because of some scum.
You are the petty brat dude. You just want the guy to hand over himself so you can get an achievement. Why should he? You didn't earn it. Just hook the guy and try again until you get it. Don't beg and whine like you deserve something.
Bud he took advantage of a game mechanic, purposefully. That is taking the game hostage esp when it prevents the killer to do a task that was inclined to happen. 2 I DID EARN IT I SPENT 20 MIN IN THAT GAME FARMING THE TOMBSTONE WHICH THEN I HAD TO KILL ALL THE OTHER 3 SURVS AND THEN HAD TO PLAY WITH A KID UNTIL I FINALLY GOT THE TOMBSTONE ON HIM WHICH THEN HE DISCONNECTS BECAUSE HE KNEW MY INTENTION WAS FOR AN ACHIEVEMENT. NOW IM TYPING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE THEN MAYBE YOU CAN READ WHAT IM SAYING. AND IVE DONE THIS ATTEMPT 9 TIMES TO HAVE IT COME DOWN TO A PETTY KID HIDING IN A LOCKER OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
The moment you asked the survivor to give up, you went from earned to being given, and the fact he didn't give you what you wanted caused you to make...this. that is the most entitled crap I've ever read and that's saying something considering this community. I don't even disagree with the guy DCing out of spite.
It sucks you are having trouble with this, but you in no way deserved that achievement. If you haven't gotten it yet, I've had success using fired up, play with your food, ruin, and brutal strength. Use tombstone and tuft of hair, spend the game stalking, breaking pallets and slowing gens as you get faster and faster. Should be 1 or 2 left when you EW3 then take it from there. -
Where? My end of game report menu doesn't give camping as an example of a reportable offense. Screenshot it and tell me the platform you're using.thalayous said:

I'd like them to do away with hitting survivors with the dream beam and just have it that if they are in his terror radius for x time they are put to sleep. Gives people a chance to run when they hear his lullaby and aren't boldly doing gens in the face of a killer.
-
Could have had any number of perks. Pwyf with 3 stacks, and a little bit of fired up and you're literally as quick as death
-
Ya not the answers I was hoping for when I asked, but they seem to understand that the high risk/reward ratio is off as the work is too great on the killer side right now

Not ruin. Sloppy butcher. Longer healing to keep slugs from getting up, or longer heal times to to spot with nurse's while invisible. Pulls double duty with wraith bring invisible since he can see the blood.Master said:@azazer said:

No, the collision box on survivors is smaller so by hugging the wall in a loop they negate most the speed difference.Zanfer said:Isn't looping technically the survivor running a path just in a circle, the distance is still the same anyways and you could just run in a straight line to a pallet in theory..
Think of people running on a track, survivors are on the inside lane and killers are on the outside lane. The killer is faster, and you can see them gaining on straight away, but when they hit the turn, the inside lane has a shorter distance and the speed difference goes away and you don't see the person on the outside track gaining as much.
Now take away the straight parts, and you have looping in DbD -
you're conflating two ideas but I get the gist of what you are saying. Youre right that as the game evolves, the power the survivors have gives them a bolder play style that has warped DbD from hide and seek to tag. That doesn't mean stealth isn't possible, nor is escaping a chase. What is happening though is instead of sometimes you have to loop, it becomes the default tactic.ill_Boston_lli said:

You realize there are other means of evading a killer besides looping right? Try stealth, juking, using perks besides the meta loop perks. I'd like to see survivors break line of sight and hide instead of t bagging at a pallet. Maybe try teamwork. Looping isn't skill, it's just delaying the inevitable because they are too unskilled to actually lose a killer.CornChip said:Just make killers stronger such that they can do well withotu camping. Once looping for minutes isnt a thing anymore, most killers will prefer chasing over camping. Thats the reason why nurses usually dont camp (unless they just started playing and are inexperienced).
However, next patch we will have multiple changes that will make looping easier and last longer, so you will see an increase of camping too.
And a "slight" buff wont be sufficient btw.
What do you want the survivors to do besides looping? just stand there?

Yes you can. Seen grabs off gens and gate. Trick is to really pay attention to details. Repair noises, moving bushes, the position of the gate switch, crows.CoffengMin said:quick questuon , does someone know if she can go to a far gen thats being worked on and grab people? i know she cant see while sprinting but you might be able to grab them if you guess where they are

What cosmetic do you use on wraith and why? I personally avoid his wax warlock top because I feel it's too tall and eye catching for a stealthy character

Its a one time use for you, but not for the Killer.
In the high red ranks its a meta perk, its not rare to face 4 of those.Actually, since 2.10, I never have had a team where all 3 of the other survivors use DS. Not saying it doesn't happen, but it's certainly not as common anymore. Just from my own observations.
Regardless, nerf.

Is there any plans to rework totems beyond just placement?

You heard me right. Loops where a killer is unable to ever catch a survivor no matter how long they do it is for the most part don't away with. I'm not using the term like survivors use face camping which also no longer exists.billynair said:@azazer said:
Bloodlust was introduced to counter infinites, which have largely been eliminated.
The dev stream said they wanted bloodlust to activate sooner at the cost of higher speed later. But moving faster sooner makes losing a killer in chase harder for survivors this encouraging looping.
As a whole this will likely change the game into a direction that it wasn't designed or balanced for.Eliminated?!?! only the reduction of pallets, the infinites have not been touched...
As for activating sooner, no, I do NOT want that, I think it should actually take longer to activate, Tier 1 anyway, but then have 2 and 3 come quicker after that. Any survivor that has NOT been downed by Tier 2 is absolutely, without question, sandbagging into a lower skill killer game and should NOT be there. Make Tier 0 last twice as long, but, get 2 and 3 even faster. As has been said before, anyone who can stay in the LoS that long is doing it on purpose, and, is definitely in the wrong ranks...
EDIT:
no, keep it as is, maybe extend the time for tier 3, and make it faster speed? it is seriously only for the toxic players
If you can show me a video on 2.0 patch where you can loop a killer add infinitum I'd like to see it. -
I said weepeme's suggestion is closer to DS, not as it is now. It's just a way to get free without having to rely on teamwork.Milo said:@azazer said:
Boil over works well enough. I've had killers not use a near by hook for one further off, stalled their forward progress by making them hit obstacles, and a lot of times all I need is a body block or distraction to wiggle or. I think that's a perfectly balanced perk as it relies on team play.
Your suggestion is getting closer to DS in that aBoil Over almost a DS? HA. It would be a legit counter to Iron Grasp.
Also how many times will someone actually body block for you in solo play?
How often your solo team CHOOSES to helps you is inconsequential. If you aren't working together you should be hanging from a hook. -
