How does that counter prayer beads exactly? Technician is one of the most trash perks in the game. Even if it did counter prayer beads, you are just proving my point. You shouldn't have to run a specific perk to have a chance against one addon.

But you do have other counters to the addon..
Such as?

Welcome to the world of killers, where Ruin is required by the best killers in the community to compete in red ranks.
Deal with it.
Ruin is useful against every survivor, prayer beads is just one killer with a specific addon. They aren't the same thing.

Technically yes.
Spine Chill is a good perk in general and is particularly good against Nurse/Spirit. So I'd absolutely bring it every game, the fact that it also counters Prayer Beads is a cherry on top.
Yes,I agree that it is a good perk. But it is not fair for survivors to have absolutely no counterplay for one addon unless they have a perk. You can literally catch survivors without chasing them super easily with one addon. It is just bad game design.
No

You shouldnt have to rant weekly about one addon, when you have options to combat that specific issue, just as camping, tunneling, keys being used, etc.
Everything has a counter. And it's up to you to use what assists the points of your game that you lack.
Do you really think it is realistic to use spine chill every match just in case the killer is using prayer beads?

Like nurse?
Her addon is the issue in question. I see no issue using addons items and perks to counter other unknowable variables that are revealed in match. The power is the only constant.
If spirit beads THEMSELVES are your issue, and not spirit, run spine chill.
You shouldn't have to run a specific perk to have counterplay against one addon.

Yeah, but I think at least tea bagging and !UNNECESSARY! flashlight clicking should be reportable and bannable.
Devs already said they won't ban people for teabagging and I agree with them. In every online game people teabag and taunt people( some games even have taunt buttons) , but no one in those games gets triggered like people do in dbd.
-
Yes, moris are OP and I think they shouldn't be in the game. I think camping and tunneling is annoying and a strategy for bad killers, but it's just a game so move on to the next match and hope it goes better I guess. No need to make a post about this.
Also, If you think that match was bad, try going against a 3 blinks, ebony mori,noed nurse. I've seen people with that build.
-
Medkits are against the rules survivors. Don't you remember page 274 in the killers rulebook for survivors where it says survivors aren't allowed to bring items or they will get tunneled?
-
Believe me, there are so many potato survivors at red ranks. They make so many stupid decisions that you would think they were at rank 10 -15 at best.
-
Leatherface is easily the best.Plague is the second if she has corrupt purge.
-
This was easiest question of my life. Of course its spirit. I am genuinely surprised that there are people who enjoy going against her.
-
No, killers are always victims in this game
Killer good survivor bad

- Her skill cap is pretty high even with headphones cause not everyone is injured 24/7
You don't need good headphones. I'm using cheap headphones and I'm sure you can afford that if you can afford to buy the dlc for this game.
@Tucking_Friggered said:
Git gud. The reality is, you aren't as good as you think you are which is why a killer that goes blind still out-mind games you. The pattern with your caliber of survivor is consistent. Any killer you can't loop and semi-infinite is "OP". Those days are all but over and any killer still suffering from it doesn't get played.
Billy can be looped and he's one of the top killers. This game doesn't have any mechanics for survivors other than looping. Devs pretty much killed stealth with countless perks for killers.

I feel like everyone here has never played AS the spirit only seen gameplay. And when I mean play as I mean REALLY play as her. A minimum of 5 hours at ranks 6-1 should be mandatory to determine her ease of play
I was one of those people then I tried playing her. I still have the same opinion, she isn't hard to learn. You only need headphones

Absolutely negative. You will not pick up Spirit and be good with her, maybe not for some time. Despite what people say and think, you are gonna have to practice with Spirit a fair bit to get good with her. The issue with Spirit isn't her ease of use, the problem is against a good Spirit there isn't counterplay aside from perks. I've seen a ton of Spirits in red rank and by enlarge they aren't great. Only a select few were actually good with her.
Well, I got 4ks in my first 5 matches with her at rank 7 so she is really not hard to learn if you have headphones
-
I tried playing her after complaining about her so much, now I believe that she is even more broken. It was so easy to get 4ks every match. If survivors don't have Iron Will, it's not even a challange.
I would definitely remove prayer beads and remove her collision with survivors while phasing.
-
@vampire_toothy said:
As others have stated, Spirit can be blinded. In addition to this, nobody has brought up that her husk can be destroyed by shining a flashlight at it while she's phasing.
There might be a bug making it harder though if you genuinely can't blind Hag or Spirit, however I haven't gone up against either one of them yet as of this update.
I have almost a thousand hours at the game and this is the first time that I've heard that her husk can be destroyed.
Maybe I have to aim the flashlight lower while she is breaking the pallet since people are saying she can actually be blinded. Some of friends also said that they can't blind her so I don't know why this happens.

You can close the loop in a second with Bamboozle, just so you know.
True, but you shouldn't have to run bamboozle. That loop is way too powerful
-
I mostly play survivor and I understand why some people complain because some of the loops are ridiculous and they take so much of your time while you can't really do anything as killer. Ironworks window is a good example of this.

How about no to all your suggestions? Are those things balanced? Not really. But they are also interesting and rare. That means memorable. If you lose a game because of something like this then it is easy to shrug off. "The only reason I lost was because of XYZ". If every game plays out the same then people will get bored of the game quicker.
They aren't really rare at all. Sure, it is fun to use ebony mori on killer, but they are also very annoying and unfun to go against for survivors. They only leave bad memories to me.
@Mister_xD said:
your mori idea wouldnt work. that way the moris would be 100% pointless offerings and might aswell be in every killers basekit. moris are fine.
your key idea seems like a little overkill to me. i would definitely like to add your first suggestion (only the keyholder escapes) to the dull key, though the skeleton key, as an ultra rare item, deserves to hold this kind of power imo. though i'd like to add that the killer should be able to grab the key user out of the hatch, so that he has a chance to interfere with the survivors escape.
toolboxes are honestly fine, what they need to fix are the general objectives.
and lastly, the instaheal idea is a nice one, though i'd say it would be enough to add a skillcheck to it, similar to the brand new part. lets say a failed skillcheck makes oyu lose the add on and a hit skillcheck will heal the person by 1 health state (so the syringe requires 2 skillchecks). i would like to keep your part where only the add on is lost though.
Yes, they should be pointless. Ebony moris are one of the most overpowered things in the game. One offering shouldn't make your matches twice as easier.

@MegaWaffle said:
All killers can be blinded when at a pallet.
Also for anyone telling you "they look down when breaking a pallet" may I remind them that every killer looks down and this does not affect the blind hitbox at pallets. Its the animation and not the actual hitbox moving.
You can start blinding her when the breaking animation is about to end but there's not enough time. She can look up to avoid it
-
@ElusivePukka said:
You know what that means? You have to stand against the pallet to blind Hag/Spirit to compensate, rather than the half-step off people are used to. Simple gameplay adjustment for survivors who bother to learn a skillset, rather than an error or actual problem in the game. Spirit and Hag also have unique vulnerabilities to a flashlight: one has a husk you can burn, and the other has traps you can disable.
What do you mean by burning husks?
-
@ElusivePukka said:
Since Spirit can be blinded, your OP's kinda silly. Just because blinds have counterplay doesn't mean they're weak or wrong.
Other killers can't look up to avoid the blind while breaking pallets, spirit and hag share the same problem, their heads look down during the animation so you can never blind them. I don't think this is intentional.
-
@Rin_is_my_waifu said:
As a spirit main, I can assure you that she can be blinded at pallets. Maybe you need to learn the timing or where to aim exactly
From my experience, you can start blinding when the breaking animation is about to end, but they can avoid it easily by looking up.
-
Moris should be just a cool way to kill survivors, nothing else. It is way too powerful in its current state, especially on killer like nurse and spirit.
Insta heals should heal you over time , like your suggestion.
I don't agree with the toolbox changes, it will be completely useless if they only work on sabotaging.
I think keys should only work after all gens are done and it should take like 15 seconds to open so you can't just open the hatch in the middle of a chase.
Some killer addons should also get a rework like iridescent head huntress and prayer beads spirit.
-
I agree with most of the things in here. Honestly, devs should have buffed the weak killers instead of nerfing survivors over and over. Now, the best thing they could do is give solo survivors more info about their teammates and buff the weak killers.
What I also want to see is reworks for annoying things on both sides like insta heals, moris, prayer beads, iridescent head huntress etc. , more punishment for tunneling and camping without survivors needing to run a perk.
-
Thank god I don't get much spirits during the event. I can play this game for hours, but when I get spirit like 3 times in a row, I stop playing because she is so annoying to go against. I would much rather go against nurse than spirit, and that is saying something.

for the first part, i answered this in a different response.
to sum it up: it is rather hard to give survivors benefits for someone throwing the game, as their BP categories dont rely on the other survivors as much as the killers rely on them, so we cant just give them 2k BPs in each category.
for the second part, i wouldnt like that.
that way the killer would, again, be punished for someone elses decidion to leave the game, as they wouldnt be able to gain their pip / double pip, just because a different person felt like he doesnt deserve this. that is my main problem with how the system currently works, so yes: a double pip for 4 DCs should be the case.
i also edited the main post, so that it is also clear that the survivors will gain a double pip with 32k BPs, if the killer DCs.
No, I don't mean 2000 bloodpoints in each category, just 2000 bloodpoints.
For the second part, the killer can easily double pip by facecamping then, since many people dc when killers do that. If they make killers double pip, then survivors should also do the same when killers dc. I have seen killers dc so many times when survivors are about to escape.
-
If someone DC's everyone should get 2000 BPs ,not just killer.
Giving killers iridescent emblems for people dcing is a stupid idea. They should just get a safety pip.

Iridescent huntress wasnt ignored it was nerfed it used to be 3 hatchets over 1 maybe do some research before you post
You can still increase to 3 with addons so what is your point? Just because it was nerfed once doesn't mean it's balanced right now.
-
Why are moris, prayer beads, iridescent head huntress still ignored?
-
Today was one of the most unfun times I have ever had in this game
First match: Lagswitching wraith
Second match: Camping leatherface
Third match: Someone disconnected the second they saw the spirit
Fourth match: Omegablink nurse
-
Honestly, thank god they changed it. Previous hallowed blight was terrible. Nobody did gens, everyone filled their viels and killed themselves on hook.
-
Great idea to kill the game and make killer queue times even longer

I don't have issues reading "Megmain". I just know it takes nothing for you to make a claim out of thin air in support of your argument without ever having to prove it.
If you enjoyed killer so much and had no desire for SWF groups or the bullying you wouldn't be a "Megmain".
You aren't being punished for playing a video game with friends. Your preferred playstyle is being balanced for playing a video game with friends in a game that doing so breaks. You're calling it punishment because you can no longer exploit it and have no other defense for it than to bring emotion into it.
Imagine accusing someone of bullying low rank killers because their name is MegMain
-
Pop goes the weasel is great if you are playing a killer that can go to generators quickly like freddy or billy.
-
@jollyfoal said:
Why does it feel like they have nerfed survivors to the ground?
Because they refuse to buff the weak killers. Their only solution is to nerf survivors which did mostly nothing except make the strong killers even stronger. Killers like wraith are still weak after countless nerfs to survivor.

It used to take like 5-10 seconds to find a lobby. Now it takes around 30 seconds for me but it's not really a problem.

Because like I said, by design, being instantly killed by a offering after being hooked only once... is unbalanced.
How could you disagree that it isn't a problem when facing it as a Survivor? Not every team is gonna flawless the Killer with zero hooks...
No, I agree that moris are broken. I was referring to the OP. They are complaining about survivors being able to prepare for the moris, when the killers can easily prepare for toolboxes, swf, flashlights etc.
-
@FireHazard said:

You'll still know its a mori because of the secret offering... Who uses the cloak? If you have a secret offering on the board, its 95% a mori, and 5% the cloak to either troll or something.
The offering is unbalanced regardless of what you do with it tbh. If mori's should be in the game for some reason, they should just remove the Ebony Mori and keep the other two, at least 3 people won't be instantly killed and only 1 will.
No, what I was trying to say is that killers can see what items survivors have and they can also somewhat understand when they are playing swf. The killer can easily prepare for survivors so why is it a problem when survivors know the killer has a mori?
-

I'm really growing tired of the same gen rush alpha squad game play that you have to endure as killer because they know what's coming. It would be nice if they didn't and i can not have my objectives halved because they get a warning. In this current meta that feature is just stupid and half the time you don't even pip if you 4k
I'm really getting tired of the same omega blink ebony mori nurse that you have to endure as survivor because the killer knows what's coming. It would be nice if they didn't and I can not have my chances cut in half because they get a warning.
-
One of my biggest issues with noed is that, really good killers use noed to basically guarentee a 4k. I have been in so many situations where we barely got all gens done against a really good killer and then the killer has noed when they already play well enough, just to get free wins.
This issue is present in many things in this game. Like one thing is already really strong by itself, but becomes OP when people combine it with something ( like nurse or spirit with ebony mori or noed). 4 survivors using adrenaline is also an example of this. One adrenaline isn't that bad but becomes really OP when everyone uses it.
-
Most : Myers because the chases against him feels so intense for some reason.
Least : Spirit is the most annoying killer go against. I don't ever enjoy coin flip chases.
-
Nurse: I agree with almost everything you said, but there should be no additional blinks even if its a rare addon.
Billy: I think the insta-chainsaw addons could use a nerf but other than that he is fine.
Spirit:Prayer beads just needs a complete rework, making it rare isn't going to solve it. I have seen people having like 150 prayer beads addons. Also spirit does not move the grass while phasing, this is a common misconception. Gen tapping isn't a realistic counterplay, you won't finish gens in time. You shouldn't need a specific perk to counter one addon.
-
I agree, her corrupt purge is very OP, but you can easily counter it by not cleansing. If you cleanse against plague you can easily screw the entire team. Just don't cleanse unless the doors are open and you will be fine.
-
@Wuhelm said:

That is very different and you know it.
How is it any different? Killers can easily decide who they want to play against. Flashlights? Dodge. 4 Toolboxes? Dodge. Swf? Dodge.
Why should survivors get punished for avoiding moris?
