Yes, my theory is that DBD is just a massive social experiment. 😂
how long will people keep playing a game that gets more broken over time instead of improving?

"this bug needs to be fixed immediately"
famous last words. welcome to nurse, hag, wraith and recently hillbilly's club of unplayable killers.

Their patch notes are not even remotely a comprehensive changelog. Patch notes are just that, notes.
Do you mean they were trying to change something on hillbilly's chainsaw without being transparent and ended up screwing up?

when making system wide changes, there is always a possibility of individual interactions being bugged. Rolling back may revert a beg that was caused by a fix, but it will also undo all other changes made to all other characters. When dealing with a specific interaction bug caused by an overal change, the correct thing to do is isolate, diagnose, and fix on an individual basis.
They're handling it correctly, though more transparency would help ease people's minds. Due to a lot of bugs lasting for a very long time, I feel some assurance goes a long way in at least acknowledging its an issue and will be resolved.
The only change related to hillbilly on last patch was a sound bug, according to their own patch notes. There was no change to the killer basic class, apparently. How on earth some map balances and a sound bug could bug my boi billywilly completely? They lowered him to nurse's level. They both have so many bugs now that they are literally unplayable. Not a surprise survivor queues are unbearable right now...
-
hey @Peanits do you guys ever heard about GIT and versioning? fixing something that wasn't bugged before is easy like reverting the changes. it's not rocket science.

Because survivors are given enough things to work with that it's not fun to play as killer and the queue time is getting survivor sided as a result, yet you seem to be annoyed that you can't use every single benefit.
benefits? perks? seriously?

maybe if they fix hillbilly someday

Ever wonder why those queues are 15 minutes? To avoid the wait just switch to killer our wait times are pretty short
because toxic swf f around some noob killers?

Psst...sometimes you actually have to rely on your gameplay to win, not just thinking that rock, paper, scissors with perks will do it for you.
said the cow complaining about ruin and gen rushes. well tried little cow...
-
run kindred because solo queue
run iron will because nurse and spirit
run spinechill because spirit
run ds because tunellers
run unbreakable because sluggers
run bt because campers
run small game because noed
oh, you can't run all of them? so stop complaining you stupid survivor, just die and go for your 15 min queue look for another lobby.

Killer is fine for me, takes less than a minute.
As for survivors, it takes alot longer due to the lack of killers playing.
I'm still waiting for the big survivor>>killer exodus people said would happen after last patch.............
-
Killers receive extra BP for every DC, so killers could exploit your idea by camping survivors for winning free BPs, since some survivors just suicide hook when camped....
-
I only use mories when I'm doing "kill with your own hands" daily rituals, so I think it's ok to do that

@aregularplayer I have a story for you. Killer hooks meg after all the gens are done. Meg get rescued by Bill, and David. Nea is waiting at the 99% exit gate as meg is in full Sprint towards her with David and Bill busy blocking.
Bill makes a grave mistake veers right though a window while David and meg go left.
The killer sees his chance to down meg again as she passes the exit doors. Killer swings down meg. She crawls toward the exit. The killer happy to get one kill picks up meg only to scream in agony of being stab by decisive strike.
So I am confused this is a noed novel but you talk about otz face camping video. Where he is trying to prove that noed is op but all he does is prove that face camping is a direct counter to overly altruistic swf.
You're not that good in story telling.
I didn't have 5h free to watch his stream so I have no idea about how it ended up, all I know is that he was trying an experiment of facecamp + noed and according to math and experience, I imagine the results. Also, you know that not everybody in the world is in a swf, right? Solo queuers also try to save people because nobody really enjoy the facecamping games. Facecamping isn't OP against swf alone, it is in fact OP in general. Just like NOED which may save your ass if you suck even at facecamping.

The only overpowered thing on you list is iri head huntress(seriously BHVR, stop letting it stack with infantry belt ffs).
For Freddy, stop genrushing for 30 seconds and go wake up
For Billy, keep breaking LOS and don't be greedy with pallets. if he chainsaws you at point blank he was already able to M1 you, so it's no different from Devour or MyC
stop genrushing and go the other side of the map to wake up againts a facecamper? it will end fine of course

I'll See your small game and raise you
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/248/HFF2AWG7R5E4.gif
Is the op really posting complaining that they can't do ALL the objectives during one person's set of hook phases?
I've put survivors in a really comfort situation: first hook with only 3 gens remaining and even so it was mathematically impossible to do all the objectives during two complete hook stages. if you change any variable like, 4 gens to be completed, the person trying to kobe, or one survivor dropping gens to try the unhook, things get worst.
-
you didn't path optimally and you could have used your static blast to prevent the gate openning. you could have killed them both

Before I start working on a gen, I run around the map cleansing every totem I see, making the perk useless.
throwing a perk icon doesnt solve the problem. running all map looking for totems will not make gen progress, it would increase the 4k probability. also, if one person finds one well hidden totem and cleanse it, I'll spend the rest of the game looking for the 5th totem because there is no indication of remaining totems. pretty good solution.

@Dwinchester said:

What you described was entirely the survivors fault. In the event of face camping, you do the gens and leave. You're not entitled to a 4 man escape. Plus changing noed will do nothing to stop this, because they will just use bubba.
this is the "in perfect world" scenario 3. but as I mentioned later, we all know this situation happens once in a lifetime, specially on solo queue where lack of information is key. you only discover that the killer is facecamping if you go there check by yourself. if you do that, you will automatically not be doing gens and in a situation of facecamping every second rushing gens is gold.
-
the only problem with your reasoning is that in fact you didn't messed up necessarily. most of the times this happens when you in fact made it the right way and just got punished because of latency. messing up dead hard is when you try dead harding perpendicular to the killer and his lunge still reaches you slightly after your dead hard movement end.

Pig needs some love.
1. Make searching bear traps take longer
2. Increase bear trap timer by 30 seconds
3. Increase crouch movement speed to 115%
They probably have less chance of dying from the reverse bear trap but it still wastes more of the survivors time, even with the beat rng. Increasing her crouch movement speed makes sense. Overall this would make her a lot better to play.
#1 survivors can start searching before the RBT is active, it wouldn't make much difference
#2 survivors need to feel the pressure of the timer, it would be a nerf, not a buff
#3 I don't think is fair since everybody have movement penalty when crouched. maybe giving her 100% could be ok, but 115% makes no sense, remeber she has the ambush attack, if she can crouch without penalty, her ambush would be OP
the only thing I would buff in pig are Rules set no 2 as base kit. she is probably one of the most underrated killers...

I understand why the penalties are there and I think that they should be in place - but the fact that these bugs even exist in a 4 year old game lol
game closing by itself, losing connection, getting locked in animations, getting locked in pallets, getting blinded for the rest of the game, invisible skill checks and many more bugs I don't remember right now. situations you just have to let the game aside and go check your email, because you can't dc
-
this is why you don't usually wanna implement dc penalties in a overly bugged game.
-
Of course because devs can't do EVERYTHING at once and now they are too busy destroying billy, no time to erase OP things like iri head and keys...
-
Leader doesn't impact gen repair, if this is what you are thinking...

Thought this was gonna be a toxicity thread but yeah, I agree. This wasn't an intentional change. It wasn't mentioned in the patch. He is just super bugged.
I wonder how the hell they manage to bug something that was working fine without changing it. It's unbelievable!
-
take this charm and shut up, consumer.
-
LOL
-
yes. also, the fact that you know that once a chase starts you will die makes survivors want to gen rush asap
-
looks amazing! the blurriness is great! pretty good job so far! I'm pretty sure THIS is the change everybody was looking for! solving dedicated servers related bugs? no way!
-
i like to be chased, not to be a sneaky rat. but it looks like bhvr wants to kill the loops. creating giant deadzones on maps and putting a bunch of useless rocks and trees all around, it looks like they want killers to stay all day long looking for urban evading p3 claudettes. they don't want you to feel rewarded for outplaying the other side in a loop. they want you to either hide in the bush or have a 3h long game looking for survivors that aren't doing the objective because they are too afraid of being caught (because nowhere to run)...
-
@CrtKazz said:
Play the game. The devs will see if survivors can’t handle map changes and will do something about it. Play both sides and you’ll get a better idea of what the game needs.
I do play both roles and I know that deadzones are ridiculously OP. Don't you agree?

Man, I thought from all the teabagging and bullying that you survivors wanted a challenge. That's why the bully squads exist right, boredom from the game being so easy?
I have no idea wath you are talking about. I play solo, always. Go wash some dishes, if you have nothing to add to the conversation.
-
close to the harvester used to be at least one structure. now is nothing in one side, nothing in the other side and, as always, nothing in map middle. is this the kind balanced map devs wish?
-
It's hard to understand, their development cycle looks like: implement changes to the game, launch ptb, receive complains, collect data, discover bugs, do nothing about anything.

3 games on red ranks as a solo survivor
all of them were full red ranks games. yes, believe it or not: killers and survivors all in red!
wretched shop against huntress. 1k, she camped the last person. the map felt empty on one side but I just avoided being caught there
temple against oni, another 1k, obsession moried because of rancor. this map is SO SMALL NOW, shack is almost inside the temple!
lerrys against doc, 2k, camped the last one and caught the second in a kamikaze unhooking failed mission. not apply

I know that, but I wasn’t using either of them. Usually I run MaA though, but even than I never got weird blinds like these. Could be a Legion specific problem it it’s really a thing. Didn’t experienced it with other killers yet.
don't listen to him. you can be blinded and have absolutely no clue of where the survivor were.

Half the ''bug'' you stated are lag issue, but whatever float your boat.
If it is a ~"lag issue"~ it shouldn't be fixed? is it ok to grab a survivor just to see him literally running away completely healthy as you are freezed there? or being stunned by head on AFTER your open locker animation started? if you have nothing valuable to add, go play your flawless game and let the adults talk.

Of all the things in this update your the thing you wanna complain about is something that has zero effect on game play whatsoever? Who gives a ######### what the offering screen looks like honestly? This does not warrant a post complaining its such an insignificant part of the game the fact you're complaining about shows people I'm this community will complain about anything. Like get over yourselves. This is not call of duty or fortnite. If you don't want the game to die then stop with non sense complaints.
your answer makes my post so much more valuable. thank you. serious. this is EXACTLY what I mean: this change is SO ZERO EFFECT ON GAMEPLAY that they shouldn't lose a single minute thinking about changing it. thank you for agreeing.
