    its not your fault.

None of the bugs are players fault. Still you are responsible for intentionally using it.

  • I ask the same question after every release.

But this PTB was great because I didn’t participate much in it and never gave any feedback. This is refreshing, not trying your arse off to give reasonable feedback and not be listened to.

  • Is there an option allowing you try unhooking yourself? - Yes

Is there an option for not struggling? -Yes

So by design, I've been given choice. And why we demand punishment for that?

You put your ultra rare add-ons, offerings. Maybe planned your perks to capturing someone and basement camping, or mori someone off the hook. So you are mad people robbed you off that? Maybe they are mad, too. They didn't plan spending entire game looking at your face, or watching teammates doing absolutely nothing. So they use their right to unhook themselves and if they can't they choose not to struggle. There might be many counters for these situations, but you can't expect everyone to play the same way. Some chooses to quit a challenge, some enjoys that challenge.

I am all in bans for excessive DC'ers like they do now. But other than that, you can't force people to play in a game where they don't want to. It maybe sucks, but so is dealing with people.

  • I thought we weren't supposed to uncap FPS lock. Am I mistaken? I thought they deliberately locked it at 60, so anything you complain because you unlocked it is your business not developers.

No one is saying people can't express their opinions. In fact, I have encouraged people to do so in multiple threads over the last couple of hours. Feedback is welcomed and encouraged. All I was saying was that this crazy rush for challenges in the first few hours after release is understandable and pretty much inevitable. So people can feel free to complain on the forums, but practically speaking, there's really only one thing those who aren't interested in being a part of the game as it is now can do to avoid it, and that's not playing the game for those few hours.

I wasn't looking for an advise. I merely I stated the current player problems caused by new level. To help finding solutions for them. For example one of the solution to this rush could be unlocking all levels at the same time instead of giving everyone same challenges at the same time.

Well, the new level was only released four hours ago, so it's understandable. That's always the case with a major update, but things will calm down in a day or two. If you don't want to be a part of it, I know it's annoying, but maybe take a short break from DBD and play another game while everyone else gets the Archives out of their system.

I just admire this point of view. Everything is so simple with this community. Either gitgud or take a break. You can't give feedback or tell how's your experience going without being given either or most of the time both of these advises.

Rift and challenges are quite new. So I assume devs are interested in players' experiences, the bad and the good. So why people are not allowed to express their opinions?

  • @Fibijean said:

I understand the frustration, but perhaps it would be a good idea to save the complaints for after we've all had a shot at the trials. As @LordGlint just demonstrated, many of the challenges probably seem a lot more insurmountable than they actually are.

The Tome, incidentally, wasn't what you paid for. And I'm sorry to be that person, but no one forced you to pay for the Rift pass either. If you weren't satisfied with what you were getting at the time that you paid for it, it probably would have been a better idea not to.

What's done is done, though, and I'm sure my telling you things you already know isn't easing the regret. So give the challenges a go - you might find they're not as terrible as you think, and you may end up getting more out of that pass you paid for than you're expecting to right now.

It is not just they are do-able or not. Personally I don't care right now about finishing challenges asap. But I can't have a normal game to play right now. Survivors acting like crazy. When someone gets hooked, it's basically an Olympic race. It's YOLO fest at the moment and even the ones who want to play normally, suffer cause of overly challenge focused players.

  • Your title got me interested in, but rest is just your opinions about irrelevant stuff with contradicting statements presented like they are based on the stats.

1-2. How could you ever draw any of the conclusions from just kill rates. Skill levels? Really? How do you read it from just killers and percentages? We don't even know how many matches against SWF which could include many ranks. Or mori, key usage in the included matches. There are just too many unknown variables to makes these conclusions.

.3.you just contradict yourself in this one. You are basically saying kill rate doesn't mean ranking up or down. Doesn't guarantee pips, therefore doesn't effect the rank. Then say they should change the already existing non kill depended system, into.. Into what exactly? Giving prop pips for just joining game.

  • It is wild out there for solo survivors. There are matches where solos need to face 4 killers. And only one of them has limited aura reading on you.

Yeah it is challenging to play as solo, but I still prefer it over playing in group of 4 SWF or, as killer facing cocky survivors who don't know how a loop works, but RNG on their side, so...

After so many hours, I simply don't care much about the bad games. Just die and move on to the next game, maybe next time I got better teammates. That is one of the great things about the game, each new lobby is a fresh start to do better, to get something surprising. Sometimes game is going so stale, you think it is gonna end that way, but it changes in seconds, completely shifting the outcome. That excitement makes me cue again for another maybe.

If I don't get any decent game for along time I just take a break. It could be a coffee break or couple of days off. One time my break lasted 2 months. But each time I came back stronger, more sane, like more clear headed. So it helps.

Game is constantly changing, developing. So I believe these miserable moments will pass someday.

  • All the changes were for better. I kind of love them all. But DS is probably my favorite change. I used to loath this perk. Now I run it pretty much all the time. Yeah it could be used for toxicity by some players, but I generally love having a chance of escaping from a basement camping killer..

  • On the contrary to my experience. Slugging considerably decreased. I used to get slugged literally every single game when I was one of the two survivors alive. Now I encounter slugging killers rarely. Some of them only slug till they find the hatch for themselves, most don't care and just hook the 3rd one.

I don't understand do you slug as killer or not? If you are it is your business, your play style.

  • Not the only one. I have more ebony mori than bps all the time.

  • @Tygre_DBD said:

Survivours do want you to get a hook, IT'S APART OF THE GAME KILLERS DO WHAT THEY WANT THAT IS MANDATORY TO THE GAME

Does this supposed to mean something? Sorry I couldn't get the point.

I just personally dont want irrational decisions when a lot of people dont even play the ptb they just kinda bandwagon.

Ok now I see your point. Yeah you might be right, people who hadn't play PTB yet could write what they think of the changes, not their experience. So they made the link only available in PTB.

  • @supersonic853 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/856409#Comment_856409

Depends if bop gets fixed we will just have nemesis legion which like ive said before is kinda meh when scaled to what the other killers can do. So we will have to see how he fits. For all we know nemesis legion could suck because all the survivors will pre pallet and make it basically like nemesis never existed in the first place. They already do to avois spirit fury.

So you think there is something needs to change, like BOP. Then people have something to say about the PTB and therefore we should have been provided with the link by now.

  • @supersonic853 said:

Because everyones gonna spam it with legion op except of thinking about ways to deal with him. (And oni)

Don't you think they are gonna continue to do that even after the update?

  • Yeah I was gonna post the same thing. I revert from PTB without taking the survey, thinking I could find link later on forums, or twitter. Maybe they are gonna post it after PTB closes.

  • I have a problem with bodyblocking when another survivor blocks me in a corner out of toxicity or who knows what reason. I am seriously reluctant to cleanse a totem in a corner, or take corner side of a gen if someone is near me. One time I had 3 crows hoovering my head by the time survivor finally decided to release me. It is annoying to be blocked by your teammate.

If you thought you were invisible back there and a Billy saw you, and downed you bodyblocking, too bad next time hide better. Or you were trying to take a survivor to your half across the map basement, guess what other survivors don't want that and do anything to prevent that. Next time choose a closer hook. These are not against any rules.

  • You have to complete a tier to unlock its items. By buying a tier you unlocked 31 and the progress you made on that tier transformed to next tier. For example you had 3 rift fragments missing for tier 31, after buying a tier you now have 3 fragments left for tier 32.

  • You know how you lose your speed after you touch ground from a high place, and balance landing used to prevent that by 75% rate all the time. Now it will only give that recover rate one time if you are not already exhausted. Could I explain it I am not sure but, I hope that helps a bit.

  • I could agree with a small increase like 10k for each category. But 32k for all seems a bit overdose.

  • "Thanks to the reports we have received thus far, we are looking to improve certain Killer powers, perks (e.g. Dead Hard), and the interaction system (e.g. Kicking Pallets or Generators)."

This is from Developer update November, so they are aware of it.

  • @Sherry said:

I like your idea of having less gens to complete if someone dc's. That's the only thing that's frustrating to me when someone dc's... still having all those gens to complete.

Yeah it would be nice, but it is so open to abuse. Like how are they gonna separate early dc's from rage dc's on death hook? Especially swf would be open to exploit that.

  • @lilbitofliah

First of all, believe me I understand you completely. The frustration, the emotion, what you expect from forums.. I've been there, I think we all been there. We may just have forgotten what was it like at the very beginning. Hate to bear bad news but that frustration, injustice feeling never really goes away. It only transforms with the new perspectives you gain from experience.

You only have 10 hours, so people gonna bring this up because it matters. This game depends so much on experience. You research a lot so that's why you have more understanding the game in 10 hours. I was around 40 hours in before having these pains.

People on this forum have, generally speaking, more experience than you do. So even some of them may come to you as hostile or unhelpful, what they mean underline it is correct most of the time. You are just too frustrated to acknowledge this right now, Or sometimes they tend to say things in a harsh way. Cause they seen them all.

I am 2500 hours in to this game at the moment, and I still get pissed after consecutively bad games. And let me tell you I get them a lot. One bad game after another, switching roles doesn't make any difference. And I feel like I just suck at this game. Or get mad about moris, keys, or in general mechanics. I know there are many things to fix, or change in the game, but even the current version have a balance of its own to help you learn and enjoy.

There aren't many way to get better at this game, except to keep playing it. You are gonna face a lot of challenges. Both mentally and physically. Yes physically, I am talking about so much sweat here that can drown your keyboard. But that is one of the things I love about the game. It's unpredictable. That's keep you interested.

Yes matchmaking is kind of bad right now, but even it wasn't you probably see many SWAT survivors with 1000+ hours hanging around rank 20 just so they can enjoy bullying inexperienced killers. That's why you can see here people saying rank doesn't matter.

Also about youtube videos. Yes they can be very helpful. I learned great deal from them both as survivor and killer. But because they show only glorious moments, they can make you feel like incompetent. However you go see a stream of that youtube video owner. And see for yourself most of the time, they live in the same pit as you and I.

If you enjoy the game the only thing keep playing, get fresh air time to time, change into dry clothes, come back and learn something from those bullies. I learned a lot about playing survivor by playing killer. How they loop me, what they do when I pressure here. And vice-versa. I applied those techniques they did to me, and see how the killer counters it. It goes on and on like this. And you build your experience.

That was a very long version of "git gud" with subtexts. I hope this would give you some new points to look for in the game. Hope you stick around, to enjoy the good parts.

  • Finished level 1 on second day. Currently on tier 59, none of them were paid. I just don't have a life right now :(

  • Maybe you never came across before. He says that from the beginning. Especially in long waiting lobbies.

  • I love these guys, who never seem to have bad games. They are so perfect at looping, they never go down, pallets wait for them, teammates don't waste pallets within 2 minutes into the game.

They never watch random teammates running around like headless chicken with camping killer even with kindred. Or see them wondering around instead of doing the last gen. Or watch them urban away the whole map, instead of doing something. I'll take even chest search. When you do a gen they start sabo the hooks near you, how ever long it takes.

They always get equally capable teammates as solo. And fair killers who don't wait to down you the second you start running. or slug you again and again, you end up spending half of the game on the ground.

I wish I was like them. How many hours would it take to find that relax comfy zone of solo survivors they talk about?

They said they don't want people to burn out completing all the tomes in no time. It's also a strategy to keep steady the playerbase during content droughts.

That, I could understand. Keeping a steady playerbase could be a reason. I still wish they gave a chance at least to try it out for a rift season.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

The devs stated in a stream that one of the reasons to not unlock the tomes is for avoid a player get burned, and I personally am glad that there are 2 weeks gap!

This way I can Take my time to complete the challenges without seeing how those who plays the entire day in DBD left me behind, and even have time to search for videos or in the forums on how other people completed them, taking this 2 weeks gap to buy or level up perks that may need to complete the challenges and even rack up addons/offerings/moris for futree challenges without the pressure of having to complete them at the same time

with the double points weekend I unlocked the essential perks for me on Claudette, now I leisurely am racking up addons and moris in my trapper, I only need that the effing BW give me the tier II and III on my "Sloppy Butcher" perk and im all set for the release of the second tome

and I'm utterly happy I have the entire week without pressure to do so, im sure there are other people like me that are grateful for having the time do do so too!

We clearly have different perspective. I can't really see what is the difference if you complete them in two weeks, some completed in a day or some completed in a month? You are left behind at what exactly? There is no competitive advantage here. The rewards are just cosmetics. And blood points always be earned one way or another. If you play once game in a day, you still continue earning that. Why feel pressure? I really can't understand sorry.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

There are people (like me) who only can play in the night after work, that can´t play more than a couple hours/matches a day or only can play in the weekeends! Not everyone is a teenager with half the day to play videogames!

The 2 week gap, is for people like us who still want to complete the tomes without the pressure of time or the need to sacrifice every other aspects of real life to get digitals rewards! (like sleeping or interact with other people like our own family)

Sorry I am not making the connection. Why? Are you feeling compelled to do every challenge in one day? You can have as much as life outside the game, everyone does, that's why I am suggesting we should be able to complete the challenges at our own pace, by the time rift closes.

Actually I find this 2 weeks apart releases more restricting, since they only give you 2 weeks or so to complete last level.

Let's say I have a week off, why shouldn't I take that time to complete as many challenges as possible instead of waiting and loosing my free time on something else?

  • @Rydog said:

On one hand, I think it's a little bit wonky that there's a delay at all, since four Tome levels with 22 challenges each would be plenty to keep a lot of players busy for a while. I'm hoping that this is how future Tomes will drop, and that they just hedged with a staggered release for this one in order to iron out any big issues (like those unreasonable level 4 challenges that have surfaced already).

On the other hand, this is a "damned if they do, damned if they don't" scenario. If it were only a week's delay, or they had dropped everything at once, we'd still see people complaining, because they burned through all of it really quickly.

In any case, I suspect the vast majority of players haven't completed level 1 of the tome yet. Remember that all the hardcore players on this forum are not remotely a reflection of the overall DBD player base, as we tend toward the extreme ends.

I feel like whatever they do its gonna be "damned if they do, damned if they don't" scenario. I can see your concern about rushing, and majority may not be hardcore gamer, but I also believe there are many players who already finished the first level.

Yes they can't design content for hardcores only, but they shouldn't wait for the casual players. either. With releasing all of them at once, which all belong to same Tome, should give everyone all the time they need within the same rift.

The game has been running much smoother for me. Loved the engine update.

I don't want to impose but can I ask your pc specs?

Hello, is it possible to have a video that show the performance issue and also which platform (I guess PC and PS4 from what I see and what about Xbox ?)

We are going to bring that up to our morning live sync.

    Thanks!

I am on PC. For example I used to get constant 60 fps while in dream world since the 3.3.1 update. And now after the hotfix 3.3.2, the moment I went into the dreamworld fps drops to 40s. Here is a example of fps change before and after waking up

    https://youtu.be/G-sMwfxOFdc

  • Playing killer is exhausting for me. Either I come across SWAT teams, who do all gens by the time I break 3 pallets, or I see inexperienced solos who can't even do a gen by the time everyone is on death hook. So both scenarios are not fun. So I rarely play killer. Mostly to do daily rituals or when survivor lobbies take more than 10 minutes to find.

With that in mind, doesn't Nurse benefit from blink hits? Spirit with phasing hits? Wraoth with decloak speed boost hits?

Hell, Huntress doesnt even really need Exposed status since Iridescent Head exists.

(Back to Legion) Maybe if the survivors had to be injured and exposed to be downed? And yes, double tapping would work as well since you have to drain your power completely for one down.

Are you seriously comparing Nurse, Wraith and Spirit attacks with frenzy and hatchets?

Nurse blink hits, They are pretty much the only way she can hit a survivor. You know since her base speed is lower than survivors.

Wraith's boost is barely covering his lost time while uncloaking, so no it's not similar to frenzy either.

Spirit, yes she can move fast while phasing, but she can't hit you in phase and the moment you stop running you take away her only ability to track you. Assuming you are healthy, since you want exposed hits.

And iridescent heads are ultra rare items. I don't think further explanation is necessary for that one.

So let's get back to Legion. Your double tap or injured idea reminded me pre-rework Legion. So if they allow that, whole rework would be pointless. Again, Legion can go way faster for a longer time and can jump over obstacles. You can't add a down ability to these.

  • Agreed. Sometimes i feel like game is about to crash. When I move, FPS drops 40s, if I am in a building it's at 20s.

  • It's not about Legion getting a buff or nerf. It's about powers of the killers. If every killer get exposed downs with their powers, they would be too strong. Imagine Huntress getting NOED with hatchets.

There is a reason why perks say with their basic attack. And yes it would be same thing if Legion could have downed with frenzy. In frenzy Legion moves faster can jump over pallets and windows. It would be unfair to other killers and survivors.

  • Are you playing on low or medium quality? Cause I believe that's a optimization thing.

  • It is not the point whether Nurse is difficult or easy to play as. I tried couple of times and she has stability issues right now. Blinking causes major FPS drops, sometimes you stuck in blinking position, and blink charges are unpredictable. Sometimes you got far away than you charged for, and vice-versa.

I wasn't a Nurse main or anything before the changes but now I completely suck at playing her. I felt like the changes have a long way to be stabilized again.

I thinkin merging WGLF with We'll Make It is a good idea, I always run WGLF for points but I always constantly struggle that I could replace it with something else. I could use We'll Make It because it is the exact same action and scenario except no extra points. I would actually be more of a help to my team if they did this.

Yeah, extra gain from WGLF is necessary. And We will Make it is a suitable candidate. Also maybe adding healing tokens as well decreases YOLO saves to get 2 tokens at once. Since they can get 2 tokens from safe hook and healing too.

Hope so I will submit a ticket when I had a chance too. Good luck.

I tried to submit a ticket (it's the first time I'm doing this), but now I'm not sure if devs got it.

As you can see, I've got an account on this site here and when I submit the ticket it said, that it got sent. BUT the thing is, when I wanted to take a look on my ticket (at "My tickets") it says that I have to sign in??! I don't get it - did the devs get my ticket or not??

If you haven't already, you should sign up for support. That helps you keep an eye on your tickets, and easier communication with support. Then you can sign into your account and see your tickets there.

  • I have the same issue. I don't think everyone has this issue though.

  • Survivor D/C rate is crazy too.

You can't burn a secret offering. You can't choose certain maps, you can't insta-down someone. You can't down someone first. You can't slug them. List could go long.

  • I wish BT worked if the hooked survivor runs it. I probably always run it that way.

So tired of YOLO saves especially on events. It is not okay to YOLO with BT too imo, but most of them don't even show that curtsy and save you without BT.

  • Last year with the pustula petals, survivors abuse the hell out of them. So I don't miss them, at all. These passive blood points events are more like a game play.

I just wish you wouldn't depend that much of everyone bringing an event offering. So far pretty much I am the only one bringing them and not making much bp out of the event.

  • Something changed with the hairs after Kate and Nea got that retouch for their hair. And I simply don't like this new looks for anyone. Everyone's hair looks so weird, I can't explain.

And with Loire, it's not just the color. but also the texture and the volume of the hair looks off.

I hope that's just a phase for the future of the design, and not permanent.

I haven't completed it yet, and I haven't done exclusively just one role, so you missed that option in the poll.

Yeah sorry about that. I generally thought that under taking too long option. I should have added "It's a working progress", or sort of option.
