That's fair. If you're going to be sweaty to me then I'll be sweaty right back! But no one wants a full night of that either. At least it's nice to know that both Killers and survivors have an easy way out that doesn't result in disconnecting.

I start each game saying to myself " You know, it's a double event it's Halloween, just enjoy, I don't even care if all escaped, or I escaped or not happy event for everyone." then somehow I always end up smashing my spacebar.

thats what just happened to me. I had a 24 and then the first game back my internets been working fine all day long. First game back it crashes towards the end of the match when it’s just me using the internet. Can players lag switch you? I don’t know. But I reset my router and i was banned for 48. Come on.... you’re making people quit playing altogether when you vehemently try to keep people in the game with a penalty. You can actually fix people from rage quitting if you fix the problems causing them to rage quit. You can fix the frustration of unfair banning by allowing them to rejoin and play once certain conditions are met. Or limiting the ban to no more than 1-2 hours. Maybe if you allow them to rejoin they would have to get rescued or unhooked if he was in a chase before he left (timer constantly decreasing until you return)

I still don't understand are you complaining about your system/ network, or game issues. You sound like you want game to redefine its systems to your wishes. Did you lose connection and wanna rejoin? Or you got cornered and wanted to reset your router and now things must have calmed down let me come back for end game? Can you see how that would effect game balance? Because system can not determine if you did it on purpose or not. So rejoining is absolutely off the table for DBD.

Personally I would've preferred if we had bots replacing D/Ced players, instead of bans. At least they wouldn't crouch in a corner for hatch.

  • I think these events just brings the worst in everyone. Survivor side sucks cause selfish teammates who even consider 300healing point as win and takes unnecessary protection hits to do selfcare in a corner, throwing game. Or Yolo you and farm on you. Or works with killer to farm on you more.

Killer side sucks pretty much for the same reasons. Cause I hate to see that farmed survivor getting nothing because of teammates. And it's not fun to win in a thrown game. Also you see these group of survivors just to play to annoy killer as much as possible.

And as a solo player I encounter newbies a lot. Especially, when events meet Free weekends. Like right now I get matched with rank 18-20 survivors who absolutely have no idea what's going on. They really make it hard to enjoy the game.

  • I prepared redeem page and I got my roommate read me the letters so I wouldn't lose seconds to read them myself, and guess what still nothing. I don't know who wins them, seems impossible to me. Never trying that again.

I think the best event that they’ve done was the first Hallowed Blight. My personal favourite is the 2017 Christmas event, because it was active when I joined the game in December. I’ll miss the Christmas menu theme...since it doesn’t look like they’ll ever bring it back.

I've joined on 2018, so don't know that one. But I loved 2018 winter event if they have resemblance. Those mystery boxes got me lots of good stuff. And menu theme was great.

No. I've been playing since 2016 so I've been there for most of the events.

Maybe I understood the title question wrong but I thought you meant what was the last event that you enjoyed. 4th anniversary was the latest and I enjoyed that one. But it wasn't my favourite. My favourites events were in 2018 (that year's Halloween event, Howling Grounds, Scorching Summer BBQ)

Ohh you are right. I meant to ask which one was favorite. Let me change that.

edit. On second thought I kind of asked that. "truly enjoyed" part asks that. For some reason I am unable to write in simple words. I was thinking that it's been a while since we have a decent event. So that title got out.

  • @Buttercake said:

I think this event and Anniversary are the only 'special' events on Switch? My memory isnt good.

I liked Annivrrsary better cause you just had to keep logging in to get the clothes and charms. Also you got to work on the halos. That was fun cause there was so many to get. So it kept me invested.

Also it was fun when the confetti shot out of flashlights and medkits.

alot of people didnt like the anniversary one, but I really had alot of fun. ❤️

It certainly had potential. I totally understand why you liked it. Also it was your first event, so nothing to compare it with for you. it's the reason a lot of people disliked it cause they seen better versions of it in the past. Crowns would have been better with more bloodpoints or tokens to gain from them.

Also agree with confetti animations, they are pretty great.

  • @ZerLukas said:

The 4th anniversary event with crown hunting was fun for me.

Was it you first event? Cause moonrise event had better lantern hunting mechanic with more gains. Or you played that too and enjoyed 4th year more?

  • Yeah most of the time I feel like RNG has a personal vendetta against me. When I am survivor, all necessary windows are closed, the most ridiculous doors and pallets are up. When I am killer whole map is a window of opportunity heaven.

Once, at Haddonfield I was chasing a survivor down to main house, she goes to adjacent garden, finds a pallet between banks, I break it joyfully thinking I got her, and she arrives at the next pallet in the same garden between another banks. Most of the time I can't even find 1 pallet at same garden.

Also don't get me start with Hex totem spawns.... They are just.... Iggghhh...

I mostly played survivor during that event and I enjoyed it a lot aswell. The extra objective wasn't to hard to complete and I think the fact that it made the game a bit less stressful for killers helped survivors like me aswell, because the killers played more relaxed.

It was only bad for the first day when survivors just collect their vials and killed themselves on hook. After everyone get used to the pace of it, or collected everything, rest of the event was good.

  • @Yamaoka said:

I think I enjoyed the Moonrise event the most. Destroying/grabbing the lanterns was fun.

Then again the Halloween event with the vials was interesting, too. I remember playing nectar-defender-Bubba / hiding behind the nectar flowers waiting to jumpscare people.

I ended up farming pretty often after giving people the jumpscare of their lives. Good times.

Yeah seeing blight flowers now unable to touch them made me realized they were kind of fun to mess around.

And lanterns was good too. Since they also gave killers something to look for other than hooks.

  • @DARKxVOID said:

I started playing February this year and there's been only about 3 events total I think. That time we had 1.5× bloodpoints was pretty cool. That was probably my favourite.

Are you talking about the 20day long 1.5x event? Yeah that was pretty good. I'd played then more than I played in months now.

  • For information I guess.

  • You can't sabo any hooks, or just blighted ones? Because event hooks can't be sabotaged by design. Not a bug.

  • @Enlyne said:

hol' up, let's see how long it takes for this to hit the feedback section merge.

Feedback means something when you believe your input will make a change. I really doubt that would be the case here. This is merely a vent for the illusion of an event.

  • I just put 1M and only got 6 patels. Don't think its just your luck, it's just they are really protective over their patels.

  • It is been almost two weeks every tunneller in-game can sleep soundly, it is still not fixed. Also I see quite an increase with the bugged killer players. Therefore, lots of people being tunnel out the game in a few minutes.

If anything this showed me how silly the game quality depends so much to just one perk.

  • I had one like this. After they mori me out, they farmed till all hit 32k points. It was infuriating to watch.

Many pay-to-perform and pay-to-win games have dramatically slower, 'natural' and 'free' options to their throw money for immediate results.

I don't think it is fair to compare this to the we know who company and their greedy policies. 9000 shards don't seem to be like a overprice. I can collect that amount in a week maybe less. But it would take much much much longer for me to unlock those other ones you referring to. Plus there is shrine. Of course maybe not next week, but in a month or two.

If these are not arguments for you, I can always argue that perks are hardly play an important part at winning. There are so many conditions that lead to winning, you can't just narrow them down to 3 perks. I unlock them I barely combine them with other perks or use all of them in matches. Perks are just there to help somethings. They don't tip the scale drastically. If you play bad, it doesn't matter which 4 perks you brought with. You can't just compare this to a high power weapon or almost immune armors that you can pay for.

  • @arcnkd said:

More and more, this killer looks like a 'pay $8 for three good perks' type of DLC. Downside to having an almost mobile-game level of DLC, you eventually start blurring the line between DLC and pay-to-perform.

You know killer can be unlocked by shards which is completely free. You can complain about other things but pay-to-perform is not one of them.

  • That is not a bug that is add-ons causing it. Red glows disappears after survivors snapped out or escaped chases That red glow fades in a few seconds. Is it permanent after these conditions or not?

  • I was going to report the same thing. I played nearly 20 games. And downed 5 exposed survivors but only 1 of them screamed. Other times generally nothing happens no notification or a loud noise notification appears on screen. I am on PC btw.

  • As someone who uses that vault fake a lot, I can honestly say it feels like an exploit. But it is my only solid hit chance, so I do it. And it is a design flow to force a killer to play with exploits. When survivors run to window they give 1 free hit either vaulting or faking it.

We can compare this vault mechanic to Huntress and Death Slinger. They need to decide weather or not survivor is going to vault, and act before they do it in order to get a hit. As PH you just play after seeing survivors' move, and this kills the mind game, making him boring to play as/against.

    Yes.

The mobile version has actually a lot of things they could just implement in the PC/Console versions.

i also like the Global inventory system of the mobile version.

Agreed. They have some things I just wish on PC/console version. Global inventory for offerings perhaps. I am not sure about the killer add-ons tho. I didn't like it on mobile. Having mixed add-on purchases for killers kind of sucked. The more killers I start to level the more complicated and overly priced Blood Market gets.

But lobby system is pretty great in there. No pre-chat non-sense, no item perk switching, and no waiting a minute for that one person who never checks READY.

  • @Raz_ said:

i think everything should be locked.

Perks, offerings, items and the character you play. so people cant change anything if they see toolboxes or quickswitching the last second what survivors do.

lobby dodging should also give a cooldown.

Actually if I am not wrong, DBD mobile has a similar system to what you are suggesting. You see the survivor characters if they have items or perks, but nothing detailed and as soon as all players are in the lobby match starts to load. I think it is a better lobby style and gives no advantage or disadvantage to any of the sides.

  • @APoipleTurtle said:

I still say the easiest solution is to simply de-equip items when a survivor is not selected and not allow items to be equipped past the 15-second mark of the full-lobby countdown (but they could still be de-equipped).

Ie: if I put a toolbox on Dwight, swap to Meg, and then swap back, Dwight would no longer be holding an item. The main goal of the 6-second swap is to sneak in items that you think might have made the killer lobby-dodge (or run specific counters to). If survivors can't "hot-swap" their items like this, then they lose their big strategic reason for doing so.

I haven't seen your solution before, but I liked it very much. It makes sense to give survivor side a limitation too. Cause it sucks to see 4 flashlight group right before countdown ends, while you wait to do your daily with a low level killer.

  • Can I ask how are we redeeming this code on steam?

edit.. I found it in-game store.

  • Great suggestions. I love the idea of this perk, but I never use it because of that dreadful cooldown. Also because I have no idea if there is an unbroken pallet on the map. Maybe if the added an aura reading ability, like window of opportunity, I've would have use it a lot more often.

Yeah. I don't mind that aspect of giving hatch at the end

You can't expect game to decide if it is OK for you or not for them to kill themselves? I like having the option to leave a game if I want to. Or anyone else in that matter. If anything I would also like a fast bleed out option on the ground. That would make things unpredictable for players. And you can't or shouldn't force people to stay in a game where they don't want to participate. It's a game, supposed to be fun to play.

i dont think so. they wouldnt let anyone change the ini file if that was the case.

Maybe. Don't get me wrong btw, as a PC player I do hate that cap myself. I just don't think they are gonna remove it anytime soon. Especially with cross-play on.

  • @DontFaceCamp said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1561266#Comment_1561266

would agree except the game legit just got cross play so that cant be the reason.

Yeah its currently cross play. However you can't possibly know whether or not they always had cross-play in mind. So that still could be the reason. Also on PC 60 cap might be important for optimization, or they just want to make a fair ground for both high and low performance rigs. Those are just a few reason pops to my head rn. I am sure there are more.

  •  "Its almost like im still playing on console, the only difference is mouse and keyboard."

I think that's exactly why they have that cap. They believe, it wouldn't be fair to console players to have opponents with high frame rates.

I've seen even fog whisperers overcome that cap, so I guess you can do it, too. But I guess I am one of the naive players who think anything that is not in the game options, shouldn't be changed.

  • The more I read here the more new things I remember, and now it's hard to list only 3 in this haystack.

The most obvious ones Moris, and Keys.

Third is a bit hard to choose but I am gonna go with Midwich map. Other things can be balanced or work around. I don't think anything can be done about this map. It's a lost cause. So yeah that's the third one.

Yes it is manually. Just click M2 during the chainsaw and you will use another stack. But if you don't time it towards the end of your attack, you end up wasting some of the total length.

Oh I see. Thanks for the info, I will definitely check that out.

  • @Chewy102 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1424432#Comment_1424432

You are suppose to chain those stacks in a single chainsaw attack. It boosts your overall range to being rather long. But you really need to focus on timing your stacks to not waste them or not to run into something.

I like the new Cannibal. Still a standard Killer for the most part. But if he gets close and you can't force him to loop something, odds are he'll down you easy enough.

How do you chain them together? Is it manually?

  • Pesonally when I played as Cannibal which is once due to extreme lobby waiting, I felt like he is worse. I played without any add-ons and his chainsaw range is too short without add-ons and too long with add-ons. Same goes for charge time. Also that bump penalty seems insanely long.

Literally read 3 times but still don't understand what is that charge numbers. What is the purpose of them since we can't use 3 chainsaw attacks back to back anyways. What am I missing?

  • I just stopped by to say the exact same thing.

What is the point of having a cosmetic, if everyone would wear it identically. I would understand it being not separated for Legendary characters like Lisa. But what is the logic behind making it for original characters. Can't see any reason to purchase something to look like everyone.

  • I don't even get 140%, it is bugged from everywhere for me :((

  • I am from same region and have same problem. the lowest ping I ever get now is 98 which is extremely discomforting. And I think its because of server load. Cause I get min 110 ping in prime hours, like +60k current player on steam.

Although I agree with you on that they need to give some attention to these servers, threatening to leave the game or expect special treatment through your content just seems wrong.

  • I played 3 games both survivor and killer, happened to me every single time.

  • @FichteHiro

Yeah I am totally fine if they have changed it. I hate how it encourages people to go for unsafe hooks for more tokens. I just wanted to make sure if they changed it or not.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Sure. Just trade either keys, Dead Hard, or locker DS.

Why not add pallets, adrenaline, unbreakable, and any other survivor perk to the combo. I am all in getting rid of keys and mories, cause they change the game drastically. But you just add things you don't like.

  • Same here. I was about the reveal him then he moved and never started again. It is annoying to be stalked right in your face. Even before the bug. He can move around and collect stalk rates before you get to reveal him.

I wish they would have change the way stalking works. If he is interrupted while stalking, stalk rate should get back to zero, like his reveal process. They can reduce the required stalk rate for exposed to compensate it. I am okay with it as long as he plays like the stealth killer he was intended to. Not this on your face- exposed non sense.

  • I was strongly against DC bans due to frequent crashes i had in game. However since its enabled I haven’t got any time out because of them. Plus the ban system cut down DC number substantially. So either you encountered some rare bug or you dc more than you realize.

  • @AhoyWolf said:

It does have a condition, if you want to keep it you need to walk.

That's not exactly a condition, that's something you choose to do.

Plus exhaustion lasts 40 secs, even less with Vigil, so technically you can run every 40 secs.

  • Yeah I feel your frustration. It happens to me especially when I decide between 2 challenges. If I take 12gen repair, killer sees me first and never lets me go, game finishes without me even touching a gen. Then I change it to pallet stun. And never even see the killer, do 4 gens by myself. Stuff like that.

I think its because we are being too focused to your challenges and even if that was normal game routine, when we couldn't achieve it asap, it causes frustration.

  • Yeah that happened to me once, but it was a long time ago. I think 3.4 version.

  • @Laakeri said:

I dont remember solo survivor ever being this horrible as after the release of killer. It seems like all the potatos are out in force due the fast ques and its really hard to get anything done when every single team mate goes down in 10 seconds.

Edit: Just played round as a killer and versed same potatos as I have seen as my team mates. Whats going on?

I know exactly what you mean. I did Deathslinger adept yesterday at red ranks with the most potato group I've ever faced in a long time. But it is annoying as hell when I am playing as solo survivor to have them as teammates :/

  • And if you are so afraid of getting DS'ed leave them for 60 sec go find someone else.

TBH I love when survivors are so eager to use their DS on their first hook. And locker grab is the fastest way for me to do it. I don't have all the cooldowns and pick up time left for me and they don't have DS anymore so win win for me.

  • I hate going against the Doctor, but I don't think he is OP.

He challenges your general survivor defenses, like normal looping and hiding. He is definitely annoying to play against. But he is certainly not OP.

1 2 3 4 5 6 … 13
