That's bullshit. I'm rank 1 pc and I constantly get rank 10 console players who can't hit skill checks.
Oh whoops. I meant as a killer. As a survivor, who you get as teammates depends entirely on the rank of the killer.

This is a lie , I play on PC switch and PS4 there are plenty of good players at rank one on console but the problem is there are way more potatoes who don't care about anything in the game and will just DC if you look at them the wrong way
I feel as though console players get to rank 1 by gen rushing or playing strategically better. I rarely encounter a rank 1 console player that is good at looping.

Hex: Undying fixes a lot of totem woes and the new placements too. An Interesting thing with Hex: Undying is that if itself is cleansed, it just moves over to another dull totem. Basically all hexes just move to dull totems until all of them are destroyed.
Another interesting suggestion is to add a Killer offering that increases amount of totems that spawn in a match.
Wow. Are you sure Undying respawns itself? That's actually insane.

No it's not. While they are comparable, Pyramid Heads is not a straight upgrade.
Pros for PH:
- Goes through walls
- Can move at 110% while held
Pros for Demogorgon:
- Can be charged twice as fast (usable after only 0.5 seconds instead of 1 second)
- Longer range (11 meters vs 8)
- Unreactable
- Shorter missed cooldown
- Faster catchup both on-hit and on-miss due to it being a mobility tool
- Breaks pallets
Of those benefits for Demogorgon, the unreactable part is the most important. While yes they can obviously make a play from when he starts charging, but once demo's power is charged the Survivor cannot react to him actually preforming the shred.
This means his power is a threat even if you aren't actually at a window or pallet yet, whereas Pyramid Heads attack is useless if the Survivor isn't in an animation due to how slow and telegraphed it is.
Demogorgon's shred being a movement ability rather than a ranged attack also matters, since if you attack a Survivor at range it covers the distance in addition to hitting them so you can get the 2nd hit faster. Pyramid Head however is very susceptible to a Survivor just holding W by comparison.
None of this is to say Demogorgons power is a straight upgrade and PH's advantages don't matter. Just that to say PH's power is a straight upgrade severely underestimates the importance of the details of shred and the importance of a power being reactable vs unreactable.
Pros for Demogorgon:
- Can be charged twice as fast (usable after only 0.5 seconds instead of 1 second)
- Longer range (11 meters vs 8)
- Unreactable
- Shorter missed cooldown
- Faster catchup both on-hit and on-miss due to it being a mobility tool
- Breaks pallets
- Demogorgon must charge for 0.65-1 second to be able to Shred, according to the Wiki. Charging longer results in higher Shred range. From experience, Demogorgon almost always has to charge for nearly max duration to hit a survivor, so the advantage here is negligible. The Shred range at 0.65 seconds is truly pitiful.
- Pyramid Head can run Burning Painting + Wax Doll to increase the range to 10.5 m. These 2 addons are literally staple on PH. I also believe that with these 2 addons PH's effective range is actually higher than Demogorgon. It is nearly impossible to hit a survivor at 11 m with Shred because at that point it is reactable and if they get hit, it's a massive mistake on the survivors side whereas PH can still get hits at 10.5 m due to being able to hit over windows and pallets due to guaranteed hits when survivors are in a locked animation.
- I am not entirely sure about this one because I find it extremely difficult to hit survivors in the open. Most of my Shred hits come when they are in a spot where they cannot turn or can only turn in 1 direction, similar to Pyramid Head. I will admit that at the short to medium range, this can guarantee you hits in some situation by holding the Shred and forcing survivors to run unoptimally.
- Point 4 and 5: only by 0.5 seconds. Imo, missing with PH and Demogorgon are similarly punishing overall. Missing with Demogorgon can be more punishing because it lunges you really far into the direction you aim, so if you miss at close or mid range, that extra distance you lunged creates significant distance for the survivor. Also there are some situations for PH, like in Midwich, where the survivor is trapped in a corner and literally cannot run even if you miss. This lets you just keep using Punishment of the Damned until you eventually hit. Demogorgon does have faster catch up on Shred hit but PH on average will get a much faster hit in a loop, so PH wins overall.
- Point 4
- Demogorgon being able to break pallets is not that much of a advantage because PH usually doesn't care about pallets. It is even advantageous to leave the pallet up because it gives you a guaranteed hit when the survivor vaults due to the locked animation and sound notification. Think of Nurse. If Nurse somehow had an ability to break dropped pallets, it would make absolutely no difference in how strong she was.
-
Get rank 1. I rarely find console players at rank 1 while there are console players everywhere at purple and green ranks.

I am curious how much Pyramid Head and Demogorgon you have actually played because many of the pros you mentioned for Demogorgon aren't actually advantages Pyramid Head doesn't have. I'll post reasons why when I get home in a few hours. I am on my phone right now. Anyway, when I say Punishment of the Damned is just Shred but better, what I mean is Punishment of the Damned can do what Shred can 60% of the time but the 40% advantage that Shred has is so severely outclassed by being able to hit through walls that it is almost never worth having Shred over Punishment of the Damned. I would gladly take Punishment of the Damned over Shred on Demogorgon any day.

No.
Not saying demogorgon doesn't need a buff, but I wouldn't support THIS buff.
Demogorgon isn't a hit and run Killer. So while this would certainly enable a different playstyle, it would not enhance his existing playstyle.
A more productive buff would be to make rat tail and rat liver basekit since those make his chase work and his portals almost twice as good, and then have deep wounds be one of the new addons effects
I disagree. Buffing his chase is not good enough. I mentioned in my thread that Pyramid Head's ranged attack is just Shred that can hit through walls. After making the changes you suggested, the same thing is still true: Pyramid Head's ranged attack is just a Shred that can hit through walls. Pyramid Head will always be picked over Demogorgon unless Shred is buffed to insanely op levels. This leaves only the option of buffing things other than Shred.

I think the buff demo needs his portal buff and not his chase potential.
This is a buff to his portals. I mentioned the synergy with portals and deep wound in my thread.

Knock out somewhat counters it.

If that's so simple why does ussylis ab5k hour survivor main struggle and zubatlel claim he's second best killer?
Pre dropping does not work all the time you can shoot them before they reach it or bait them out.
If you are going to use the streamer argument, then why does Otz, one of the best killers in the game, consider him a B tier killer? https://youtu.be/bNwZmT3ei5M?t=598. Regarding pre-dropping pallets, if you are healthy, you are extremely likely to reach a pallet since you can just use your on-hit sprint. Once you manage to reach the first pallet, you can keep pallet dropping train going fairly easily since Death Slinger has a 110% ms.
-
Literally all you have to do against a Deathslinger is drop the pallet early. Deathslinger literally cannot do ######### when the pallet is dropped. He has to break it. Once he destroys the pallet, go to the next pallet. By the time he catches you, 3 gens are done. This is why I stopped playing Deathslinger. Huntress is similar but does not have this downside.

My only letdown with Plague is the lack of Status Effects she gives when she infects Survivors with Entity knows what she has.
Like if someone is that sick that they're injured from it you'd expect maybe for them to be Exhausted? Maybe some Hemorrhaging? Being more Oblivious to thing around them? Some Deep Wounds from putting too much strain on their body? (You get the idea)
Wanted her to have the opportunity to essentially give Survivors a Iridescent King equivalent of Status Effects. (or just Add Ons that give a Status Effect to infected survivors)
Give them Coronavirus.
-
I agree. I think she is one of the worst killers in the game. The nail in the coffin for her was dedicated servers. You can't vomit on survivors that run it tight anymore. It shows on your screen but doesn't register on the server. This has made her nearly unplayable against good survivors.

My question is, is this going to trigger fast enough to stop the pallets where I land a hit and/or get a down, and get stunned anyway, because that's extremely common. Still this just seems like a variation of Enduring, and not as good, since it has a cooldown AND a totem.
Not sure. I assume not since the pallet gets dropped first then the hit occurs. If it does stop the pallet drop, that would even be worse since that stops the survivor from wasting the pallet.
-
I am not looking for short vids with selective games. I ask for streamer gameplay but really I want to see 6 hours of gameplay to see what the average Spirit game looks like.
-
For survivor or killer? I think the previous killer DLCs have been excellent.

@Momentosis said:
They're also hemorrhaged.
Also, you're going to be trying to constantly injure the survivors. As a survivor, you won't be constantly trying to heal unless you're going out of your way to heal everybody.
Hemmorhage is useless. See my response to Waffleyumboy. It seems applicable to your argument.
@Sonzaishinai said:
It's not really that Botany Knowledge is a bad perk, it's just that the current meta perks are that much better.
There are a lot of survivor perks that are actually pretty good but they get completly overshadowed by the best perks.
A sword is a pretty good weapon, but why pick a sword when a gun is a option
I feel as though your analogy is applicable to my argument. Sloppy Butcher (sword) is bad when my opponents have Botany Knowledge and other meta perks (gun)?
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
Healing as survivor is more situational than applying injury as killer lol.
You are failing to realise that the value of Sloppy Butcher is directly connected to the survivor healing. For example, if the survivor never heals then Sloppy Butcher is a useless perk. If healing is situational then Sloppy Butcher is also situational.

As a killer main, I don't how strong his power is yet but his add-ons seem insane.
-
Unnecessary nerf/fix...
-
Undying + NOED does almost nothing until the game is almost over. You are investing 2 perks that do nothing for most of the game, assuming you run no other Hex perks. Also remember that you have the entire game to cleanse the Undying totem before completing the last gen.

We all know what you did to achieve that result on that killer.
Camp and tunnel? Nope. The closest I got to camping was placing 1 trap at the hook. The console scrubs just didn't know how to crouch.
-
I didn't even realize they were a swf until I saw their perks. That was easy I guess...
-
I haven't seen any toxic console survivors but to fair most of them only complete 1 gen before all dying.
-
As a PC killer, most of the survivors I've played against were console, so odds are you were playing against console players.
-
Try playing Clown without addons. Then we can talk.

... what? Not. With BBQ, they blend in with generators. And totems are practically invisible. At least on console. Is it different on PC?
Playing on PC. It might be harder to see on console because you play on TV, which means you are sitting further away compared to a monitor.
-
@Dehitay said:
How the hell do you get BBQ & Chili to activate at a range where the auras are an actual improvement? You have to be really close (or maybe have a gigantic monitor) for that to be the case. And god help the Trapper mains with the hell they're going through right now.
Playing Nurse. I am able to reach them much faster and hence see the auras in detail. Asides from survivors, the generators and hooks look really good.
-
Every survivor it kills gets added to the centipede.
-
Blood Warden might not be a good perk but I am fine with how it is currently because it is the most hilarious and sadistic perk when it works. The reaction of the survivor(s) when they realize they have been trapped is one of the best experiences.

I agree going to be a great change. I play killer in red ranks Trapper Pig Spirit. So many other ones I want to get used to playing. Now with the new system I’ll be able to. Very much looking forward to the change.
They could just add individual ranks (not MMR) for every killer for that.

Also queue times wont be a big problem when Crossplay come out.
I also dont think this game can get more toxic.
I am really hyped for the MMR System. It is really needed.
Regarding queue times, I think it will be an issue for high MMR even with crossplay because I suspect most of the high MMR players will be PC players, so high MMR queue would not become much faster.

It is fairly obvious this is a casual game because:
the game is not rigorously balanced
there is no MMR and hence much less of an incentive to keep improving
almost no one cares about the competitive/esport scene
people do not bring keys and moris every game; they would if they wanted to win every game
there is no DC penalty or functional report for griefing in a team-based game
If you think this game is competitive or toxic, then you have probably never played more than 200 hours of LoL or Dota. This game is no where as toxic or competitive as those games. Honestly, I wouldn't even call this game toxic.

I recommend watching OTZ's VODs from when he was practicing Legion. He curently has a 52 4 kill streak on Legion (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PVh8RE3uy88YjdOYPA0Xi35b8ReCDteHZo0lFYKw2HI/edit#gid=0). To be good at Legion, you need to be good at looping and mindgaming.

Remember though you’re taking TWO survivors out of the game for 3.2 seconds to that’s 6.4 seconds of lost gen time... now if you get 10 hits that’s over a minute so it’s the equivalent of 3 Pops.
Not to mention Pop can sometimes be inconvenient to use, for example you see another survivor right away. And even if you do get to use Pop it takes you a couple seconds to walk to a gen and kick it.
I still think both are great, most of my builds start with BBQ, pip, sloppy and then a fourth Perk depending on killer and mood
Well realistically, you are not going to get 10 hits on healthy survivors that results in heals. 6-7 is a more realistic amount. Let's say on average killer gets 2 kills, so that is 6 hooks at minimum. You would get on average 6 Pop Goes the Weasels.
-
No. It takes 16 seconds to heal and 19.2 sec with Sloppy Butcher. This adds 3.2 seconds. This is nothing. Even if you get 10 hits, that is only 32 seconds. Surge or Pop Goes the Weasel would do far more.

Don't think so. When survivors see 0-1 kill, they automatically assume you lost and got entity displeased.

Now that Pyramid Head is out, Demogorgon definitely needs a buff or rework. Both killers are similar except Pyramid Head can hit through walls. On a map with many obstacles, e.g. Ormond, or short loops, Demorgon is literally an M1 killer.

If you only compare their ability to get the first hit, sure. But Legion can’t use his ability to down anyone, just injure, and his power doesn’t help in the chase once the survivor is injured. If you play Legion against good loopers or even just survivors who play it safe at pallets and rush gens, good luck downing people quickly. Compare that to Spirit who basically can’t be looped.
Legion at rank 1 good enough? https://www.twitch.tv/videos/638323493
-
Yep. That's why Brutal Strength is critical. All the survivor has to do is drop the pallet early against a Deathslinger.
-
Spirit is overrated. The only reason people complain about her is she is the one of the biggest noob stompers. Against bad survivors, she can easily 4k with 0-1 generators completed. Against rank 1 swf squads, she is a mediocre killer. The main reason why Spirit stomps bad survivors is they give free hits and run in a straight line while she is phasing, so the down comes extremely quickly.
Sprit's phase isn't that useful in a chase until the survivor becomes injured, so against a healthy survivor she is basically a 110 ms killer with no power. If the survivor can loop very well, the first hit is very hard to get and wastes a lot of time. Once you get the hit, you have to down the survivor with your phase. If you mess up, you are ######### because you are once again a 110 ms killer with no power. Having 110 base movement is also a massive disadvantage in general since it makes scouting much slower.
I am a rank 1 killer and I constantly look for the strongest builds and killers. Compared to Pyramid Head or Nurse, which I both play, Spirit is significantly weaker and there are many other killers that are stronger or as strong as Spirit.
-
While we are discussing Ruin, all the killers that complained about the Ruin nerf, are you still playing killer?
