Deathslinger useless at most pallets
Deathslinger is the only ranged killer who cannot make use of downed pallets. Sure you can allow the chain to break and then eat the stun, but if they're already injured, it does nothing but allow them to get away.
The solution? Deathslinger should be able to drag speared survivors over pallets, at the cost of chain durability.
You sacrifice most of your pulling power to secure a down. Say 25 to 50% of the gauge is required to successfully pull a survivor over a pallet. So if your team is playing chain breaker, or if youve gotten enough distance after the pallet, you can still get away.
This doesnt work on windows, since you can already hit speared survivors through windows no problem.

Deathslinger is one of my most played characters and I must say no.
He is already in a pretty decent position, one of the points of his spear is to deny survivors of pallets BEFORE they reach them. Making it so that he drags survivors over pallets would be kind of broken considering they are one of the most important points of counterplay against him.
They can drop said pallet at the same time as getting speared.
By decent, do you mean nearly trash tier?
Oh boy if you think deathslinger is trash tier you definitely are not playing him right or not at all.
Oh, he is. I feel like I need to state, that my issues with Deathslinger have nothing to do with hitting survivors with his power, its that his power does not do nearly enough to compensate for his reduced movement speed.
That's why you must be using your power all the time. He can deny loops with ease and end chases quickly, plus, the tiny harpoon hitbox allows for some crazy plays at loops.
Well, on top of being 110, Deathslinger has to deal with FIVE additional slowdowns.
1. Slowing to aim
2. Slow during reeling
3. Slow during reload
4. Slow after miss
5. Slow after chain break.
Just wanna interject here, reeling and backpedalling doesn't reel survivors in faster. It's the same speed, but it will get them away from obstacles that could block your reel.
I know that, it makes it so that the survivors can not move as much while harpooned.
Yep. That's why Brutal Strength is critical. All the survivor has to do is drop the pallet early against a Deathslinger.
