Change i would make to Blood Warden

As soon as the last Generator is completed, Blood Warden is activated. The Auras  of any Survivors located within Exit Gate areas are revealed to you. Once per Trial, hooking a Survivor while Blood Warden is active calls upon The Entity to block both Exits Gates and Switches for all Survivors for 30/40/60 seconds.

  • Blood Warden might not be a good perk but I am fine with how it is currently because it is the most hilarious and sadistic perk when it works. The reaction of the survivor(s) when they realize they have been trapped is one of the best experiences.

  • I like it better the way it is now, because you can control when the ability is activated. You just have to hook someone at the right time and open the doors yourself.

The suggestion does not remove what you said. You still have the option when to hook someone and when to block the gates. It just adds the possibility to block switches as well

  • The only thing I don't like about BW is having someone ready to hook but the other survivors have 99ed the gates. Your idea helps against that but one of the big perks of BW is getting to see the survivors auras at the gate, which wouldn't happen if the switch is blocked (since they never enter the gate area).

I kind of wish it would activate regardless of the gate status if you've hooked someone after the last gen (and have the gates start the 60 sec countdown when they're opened) but that would probably make BW too strong. It just sucks to have basically a dead perk slot all game that still doesn't get used because you caught a survivor far from the gates...

That's the laziest excuse i've seen from a survivor main to prevent a buff to this god awful perk.

You have SIGNIFICANTLY more control if you can choose when to hook.

Rather than go open the exit gates, risk losing your prey and 3 survivors escaping, and obviously waste time going back and forth.

Oh! This boy managed not to fall into the bait!

Now seriously speaking. It is better as it is now, because you decide when to close the exits. If the doors are open and you wait for the countdown to drop low enough for there to be 60 seconds left, this is when you have to hook someone to make 4k if nobody goes out. It is also a surprise perk, the other survivors are likely to try to rescue him. This is the best way to use this perk.

I wouldn't say BW activating when the gate gets opened is to strong, it is one minute out of the two minute egc timer starting then. And you have even more time left when someone is downed or hooked. This solution would also pose some great surprise for 99 % door users, when survs open it bc the killer comes and realize then that they can't get out.
