Omg, I didn't even know that! That's awful. The handholding they do with killer perks amazes me.
Yeah, the sound effect you hear as the killer when the perk is triggered is also played just as loudly to all survivors on the map.
basically broadcasting, HEY, YOU TRIGGERED MACHINE LEARNING, THE KILLER IS UNDETECTABLE AND FASTER FOR 30 SECONDS! LOOK OUT
-
All they need to do to buff the perk is to remove the sound queue for the survivors.
What is the point of undetectable, when the perk has a massive DING.
-
Killer pressure rises as the number of Generators that needs to be done decreases.
Three Gen-ing is an opportunity for a killer to make a comeback, and I think it is needed to some degree.
But it definitely went beyond a Comeback opportunity currently and more of a chokepoint.
-
My wishlist is:
1ste - A Warhammer 40K. They put it on the Survey as an option, and I will not let it go. GIVE ME MY KHORNATE DEMON KILLER!!!!
2de - Alien. I'm a big fan of the franchise and I am very very curious as what they do with the Xenomorph. Ripley will always be a welcome addition.
3rd - Candyman - Adding BEES right after Nicolas Cage will be the best joke BHVR have ever done.
Would be interested but not hoping for
Fnaf - Mainly to see the community's reaction
-
Aren't Hag and Sadako short killers?

Team Eternal was disqualified from the Community Cup #8.
In a matchup of Team Eternal VS Wraith, Team Eternal managed to get all 4 Survivors to escape with basically no issues whatsoever. After the match, the Wraith reported Team Eternal to an admin of the tournament, and they were disqualified for breaking the rules. What rules did they break?
Tournament Restrictions
- Anytime a new Killer, Survivor, Perk, or Item is added to the game, they are unable to used in the tournament for 2 weeks from the release date of the Community Cup. This rule exists to give people more time to learn new content that is was added.
According to KnightLight, and other screenshots that were provided. A member of Team Eternal was using Nicolas Cage during the tournament. Keep in mind, they were NOT using Nic Cage's perks, only the Survivor itself.
I personally think this dumb.
Obviously playing with newly released perks is an issue, but this is just the Survivor itself, which is basically just cosmetic and nothing more/less. It is not like the Killer has to learn how to play against Nicolas Cage (the Survivor itself) when they fundamentally work the same as an other Survivor you can pick.
This ruling should be reconsidered and should be looked at since I currently think it will only be used by petty players in a malicious way.
The reason they would ban a survivor could very much be for hidden bug lookouts.
Even if each survivor is a reskin of the same rig. You never know what can slip through testing or making the survivor.
While it can be dumb, it is reasonable. Because imagine if a game breaking bug came out with Nicolas Cage. Like if a certain rare voice line plays, then the game crashes.
There is a reason behind the madness
-
Seems like there is a lot of buzz around a spider killer
-
Imagine what they could do with that kind of tech. It's so exciting!

I see.
Perhaps I am wrong.

Goofy and DBD don't really go together though.
It can only pass the horror stage if they move away from horror and the horror is the drawcard.
Whether people find it scary or not is irrelevant to the theme of the game. Most games aren't scary after a few plays but that doesn't mean they still can't be horror.
The prettier they try to make DBD the less horrible it becomes, but its the horrible that makes the game great.
The moment they added Nikolas Cage to the game.
Serious DbD flew out the window
-
@pseudechis said:
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I gotta disagree on this one.
The current portraits are definitely more static but they have the reserved kind of look almost like mug shots, kinda depressing but that works for DBD. The concept of this game is rather bleak and it fits.
The new artwork while more dynamic is just a bit cheesy. Some are good and characterful but others are really not. i.e...
Deathslinger he looks like a kid firing a gun for the first time with that open mouth grin. Where's the grim countenance that defines his grizzled lawman persona.
Where's the tortured facial expression of the Onryo, the kind of expression that defines what she is... a tortured spirit.
They updated the artwork but they lost the character. I agree with the assessment they feel more like fan art than official character portraits.
It's the goofiness that gives it a charm I like. This isn;t for everyone, I understand.
But DbD has long since passed its horror phase, and has now become more of a "action thriller" genre, so these stylized portraits just work for me personally in that regard.

Prove got the repair speed reduced from 15% to 10%😑
Ah
-
I wonder if you can accidently ban the bots?
That would be so funny.

Didn't Prove Thyself AND Brand New Part lose some of their power, in the same update? Killers have been complaining about that for ages.
The Prove Thyself nerf is only to bloodpoints, and if you want Otz's video, you will see the BNP 'nerf" isn't so much as a nerf as a side grade
-
Yeah, I have no interest in Skull Merchant, but I got a daily challenge to play so I went and played her for the first time.
While I didn't employ that strategy, I could immediately feel how it is possible. She is also just not fun to play as.
-

Now before you crucify me just hear me out...she is very fun and after 8k hrs I was bored of survivor and killer but she has brought that fun feeling back for me, don't get me wrong she's very strong when it comes to 3gen but honestly I think 3gen should be somewhat viable even if she gets nerfed I'd like to see some form of her kit stay in regards to 3 gen style gameplay
I guess you could say, she makes you feel like you play chess as a killer.
-
Add-Ons should prove ways the slightly alter the playstyle of a killer or enhance teir current playstyle

It should be buffed in three ways.
- Duration increased to 40 seconds. 30 seconds is just not enough for something that is hard to get value out of.
- Now only takes one kick to activate and compromise a gen.
- Does not alert survivors once a gen is completed. BHVR needs to stop giving info on literally everything the killer can do to survivors.
Wait, the survivors get notified if Machine Learning Triggers?

@Ayodam said:
This thread: When you get a 3K + DC and are still upset because the survivors weren’t civil about being stomped.
I wasn't even stopping them. As I said, they finished the first gen before my first chase was even done.
I got 1 hook and they all were still healthy, and they decided to give up.
If you think that is a stomp, then I am very worried.
-
I kind of agree to be honest.
I hate that the only solution to a bully squad is to go stand in a corner of the map like a naughty child and wait for them to finish the map.
On the bright side, I guess I get to play Clash of Clans more while waiting
-
Either way, it is not very fun
-
@Deathstroke said:
I would went easier on them in 3vs1 so that rest would get some bp even 20K is very little gain as killer too and if I ever earn that little I get mad. But your games will soon get harder if you keep winning. You will get survivors who can loop and do gens extremely fast and then you hope you would get games like this so I think you're lucky.
I am very well aware of this.
Which is what makes me made cause my MMR is then not natural. If the wins are too easy, then I get matched against people who aren't at my actual level and I get stomped
-
Also @Rizzo I remembered to blur the names this time!
-
He has a lot of potential. I agree.
But like what we saw with Gohan in Dragonball Z, Potentially only means so much, if your creator doesn't want you to outshine the other characters
-
Perhaps what they can do is make a couple of perks like Destressing.
Where the perk gives you a debuff, but in exchange, you get bonus bloodpoints.
For example:
Savour the Moment
You like your prey to suffer. A drawn out hunt is best.
- Increases the Cool-down of missed Basic Attacks by 10 %.
- Grants 100/150/200 % bonus Bloodpoints in the Brutality Category.
-
Well done
-
@DrDucky said:
Too abuseable. This works on a cage because the survivor is already sent far and you as the killer don't know where they end up and if you do find the cage then you have to guess where they will next appear (which on big maps especially is still RNG). The cage also has no BT or any unhook prevention meaning this is needed or the killer could just wait by a cage and down the guy the moment he gets saved.
i see

@appleas said:
Just don’t play Killer if you don’t enjoy it.
People will try to change your perspective of the win condition for Killer or tell you to get better.
But no one can criticize you for not playing that role. The earlier people come to terms with and accept this simple fact, the better.
Agreed.
Don't indulge in something that takes away your joy.

How about instead we just make it so BT has its timer paused when in Chase.
A tunneling killer will hit you through that Endurance and keep chasing. They are dedicated in their evil deeds
-
I like this idea. Needs a bit of polish around the edges but it has potential

@Annso_x said:
These are actually pretty good !
For the first one I've got a couple suggestions: Reduce the effect to 10/20/30% and make it apply every time a survivor is unhooked for the first time (so you can get value up to 4 times instead of just once). The effect would still be strong but counterable if survivors pay attention.
I have nothing to nitpick about the Hex perk, it seems very well balanced and I think it would be a really fun perk.
Thank you very much. I appreciate the positive feedback.
-
This is actually, incredibly interesting.
The survivors can attempt to help Dr Jekyll to keep Hyde in check. Perhaps Mr Hyde can be stupidly broken on purpose, which encourages survivors to try and do this side objective.
And I absolutely love the idea of Jekyll being able to escape with the other survivors. That is so interesting and unique.
If this was actually expanded upon, it would be so so fascinating.

You just made it an alternative to camping that accomplishes the same goal, either forcing a second hook or a death lol.
Calling it anti-camping doesn't make it so if you can exploit it and get a similar benefit to camping and possibly waste even more time for survivors.
It's probably even better than proxy camping...
Perhaps in that case, if the hook teleports, the hook timer is paused for a certain amount of time after it teleports. Just a couple of seconds.
That way it doesn't guarantee a second hook stage, AND it makes lore sense, cause the entity is retracting some of its power to move them, so they can't focus on eating their soul.
Or alternatively, each time it teleports a bit of the struggle timer is recharged?

For a moment I thought you mean South African servers. Unfortunate

I wish autodidact was buffed just a slight bit

Face it. You came here because of the Otz stream :)

Trapper - I'm sad that I can't play the poster boy in high MMR without handicapping myself
Wraith - He is cool. Once you learnt eh art of body blocking, he becomes so fun.
Hillbilly - Speedy boy. But I am too scared to learn him cause bhvr likes to gut him
Nurse - My inner hipster does not allow me to play meta killers
Myers - I love jumpscare Myers. I wish he was better,
Hag - She is fun. I love how she gives everything a good spanking.
Doctor - Still learning the ins and outs of him, but he love the mind gaming you can do with him.
Huntress - My inner hipster does not allow me to play her.
Cannibal - He does the funny noises when his chainsaw goes from. Also I love his walk cycle.
Freddy Kruger - Very surprised that he has no cosmetics. Like nothing at all.
Pig - I like her. Interesting idea, though the ambush can be tweaked a bit.
Clown - Funny fat man
Spirit - Inner hipster does not allow me to touch her
Legion - Should have been a disguise killer
Plague - The only killer my hipster side allows me to play
Ghost Face - I like him.
Demogorgon - He is a good boy,. Be sure to headpat him.
Oni - I am not skilled enough to learn him.
Deathslinger - Shooty man. I would like to get better at him.
Executioner - Personally, I think all hooks should have the anti camping mechanic that Pyramid head's cages have.
Blight - One of the only killers my hipster side allows me to play. But I don't like to play meta addons. I like the stealth rush build.
Twins - I've nevr played her before, but I guess you can kick the baby.
Trickster - Yellow shirted man who throws knifes and got a power from mystical sources. why yes, I do think he is a jojo reference.
Nemesis - Tied for my favoriate killer. Too bad I am so bad at him that my zombies get more hits than I do,.
Pinhead - Tied for my favoriate killer. I like his playstyle. Also, insert he came joke.
Artist - Tried her once, was horrible, never touching her again. Why yes, I am a gigachad.
The Ring - She is just boring. I just, dont like her. I tried her a bit but she is just so boring.
Dredge - I like any killer that can potentially jumpscare survivors.
Wesker - It's wesking Time
Knight - I think I may be the only person that actually uses his gaurds to gaurd a position and attempt to use them in a chase.
Skull Merchant - Played her once. That game was already 50% longer than my average match time.
Singularity - I like him. I wish he wasn't so bad on indoor maps.
-
It takes pressure off of yourself because it is a guarantee 1 or 2 survivors that are not on generator .
-
It sounds like a good idea, but it can perhaps be a bit broken.
I'm not saying that as a knee jerk reaction. Lets give an example, Overwhelming Presance.
It works within your terror radius, so while the zombie is wandering around, survivors in the area have their item charges drain fast. So Med Kits and Tool Boxes will deplete fast. And the only way to kill a zombie is to waste a pallet.
Though, I suppose it is a very interestin idea, but it needs to be done right with the proper balance restrictions.

I can't remember the name of the funny bug/meme below - there was one that was used (does anyone remember?). But that's me running around with my hands stretched out behind my back! Years ago there was a bug where the game would think you're still on the hook and this would happen. When you eventually died on the hook, you'd start falling under the map. Was VERY funny.

Maurice is a beloved horse in DBD. She was taken away abruptly in a patch, but eventually returned! Players often pet her:

Bjorn misspelled Mathieu Cote's (the Game Directors) name once (I think!) and so it became a meme to always misspell it or his title for the dev streams:

- Soon TM is a popular meme. There used to be weekly and then fortnightly dbd dev streams - they were very frequent. The devs answered a lot of questions - a lot of them were also answered with "Soon". The questions answered with "soon" weren't usually that accurate! But the devs themselves started to say it as a half-joke/meme anyway.
- "Ded ard" is kinda a meme - relating to the perk Dead Hard of course. The streamer TrU3Ta1ent said it often when getting frustrated with the perk and it caught on.
- Also there was this other YouTuber/Streamer who made funny IRL dbd skits. One of the funniest was when they pretended to be in a BHVR meeting, planning buffs/nerfs. Can't find them!
There's more, but yea! I'll add more if I remember more.
This is so beautiful. Thank you

We forgetting that Old DH also had I-Frames that gave you endurance? It wasn't just used for the distance but also to block a hit that would down you.
