Woah wait what IP leak?
Back during pinhead or artist ptb, people found a way to get your ip through the game and they were ddosing and swatting streamers. Not sure if it was also in the main game, but they had a big banner up on the forums warning people and suggesting to get a vpn for a while..
-
Afaik they never patched the ip leak and just waited for people to stop talking about it.

The blurriness is very noticeable (even in these few examples), especially if you look at Wraith's face:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9DL1UAGXP1VJ/aacomparison.gif
It blurs out the details. Edit: Also to note, this is at native 2560x1440p resolution, 100% resolution scale.
What's with the extra diamond on the last image?

Nurses play against themselves. You're just there to hold W, try to "mind game", try to duble back etc. It still doesn't matter. If they Nurse is experienced there is no counterplay other than repairing gens. And if it's solo queue against any experienced Nurse, just call it a gg because there is absolutely nothing you can do.
If a nurse is able to land every hit on lerys then they are using esp cheats.
-
Depends.
If you are a full on swf and everyone is on the gen in the killers face just to push the point that survivors are the power role thanks to trash tier balance and untrained staff. Then yeah, quite toxic and boring to play against really. Grabs have essentially been removed from the game and boon circle of healing says hi.
If you are a solo player and just finishing a gen for the team then no.

Probably because its 20% of the survivor objective vs 8% of the killers.

Good to see more people are bringing this up.

This much I can understand. Survivors played at the highest echelon in an organized team are definitely going to be awful to deal with. I respect the teamwork and cooperation it takes to achieve that though.
But the issue then lies with - with balancing a game for the highest skill level, the players below that suffer tremendously for it. And these high tier players are -always- the minority. There are far more casual, or lower tier etc players in this game than these mega players.
So to fix that imbalance between the 2 types of players--- why not a "ranked mode" -- somewhere these people can go and be sweaty and not ruin the game for the other people just trying to have fun. I dont know... but I for sure don't agree that games should always be balanced based on the best possible outcome.
That's for mmr to sort out, and it would if more people were willing to touch killer.
Balancing the game around bad players who have the potential to get better is always awful and has no place in a game with mmr because the two clash and cannibalize each other.
You either add mmr and balance for the top so it trickles down and gets sorted by the mmr. Or keep trash balance for the masses but have almost no matchmaking so things are random.
-
Its just how killers describe how stupidly easy and fast gens are compared to the killers objective. You can down survivors in 30 seconds or less and it won't matter if the team is efficient enough on generators.

This. I don't know how many times i almost depleted a legion, only for some moron to finish their mend and pop out in front of him in a panic, causing me to eat the 5th hit.
-
Didn't see a single ghostie while doing tomes, so i guess worse?
-
Yep. The sound guy seems to be deaf. I physically can't play legion with the sound on because it is damaging my hearing and gave me tinitus (Ringing in the ear) for the rest of the night after only an hour.
IF they want legion to be fully deaf then find another way that doesn't damage players hearing.

The houses are downright broken if you know how to loop them and the killer can't even remove it or stop you.
Maps horrible and they failed yet again.

I know, these are the worst who encourages such behaviour. There is a ton of videos like this. Not gonna name the streamer or YouTuber, but it’s pretty obvious. I don’t see the joy in doing this, but still the comments are filled with people making fun of the killer.
I try to watch streamers or YouTubers who actually have honest play styles.
only saw one game and clicked off. I don't think it's who you are talking about, it was a nobody to me. But they did have 600 people watching who were all so into it... The culture in this game is disgusting. The stuff chat was saying was awful and one of the reasons i avoid streamers if i can.
-
Sad thing is they won't admit being wrong and can it.
Just go back to the old system but make getting a pip harder across all ranks and remove the safety pip.
-
Just watched a streamer bm and tease low rank killers by smurfiung. There was no way they should have had the killers they were getting without side loading new accounts (the 3 swf buddies) to cheat mmr, or spending their life de-ranking off stream.
-
Depends on your mmr.
I see it in all my killer games, but hardly see it in my survivor games, if i don't run it. It was the same before the nerf.

But seeing what happened in your match is cuz either that Nurse really hard tanked her MMR or BHVR SBMM is just tr4sh.
They fiddled with numbers, nothing more. The stack will just shift back and we will be back where we were before the tests.

Overall I was a little underwhelmed with both killers changes. It's infinitely more easy to get a Mori with Sadako than it is to get close to a 5th hit down on Legion against good survivors, and GF gets revealed through keyholes and or survivors have ring cameras set up on every map (I honestly have no idea how much worse it's been since the update since I outright don't play this killer).
I will say overall I have more fun with GF now because he has some funky add-ons, but he's still very weak because his gameplay style is weak, and it's weak because no killer without anti-loop or a power to slow the game down in any way can possibly be good.
He needs to have the single strongest M1 stealth style in the game, reveal should be like the afterthought the condemned mechanic is on Sadako, because survivors shouldn't be able to take away his only power so easy if he doesn't even have a passive, and they do it with absolutely no risk because he has to stalk longer than Myers to get an expose but the survivors get a notification in seeing they're exposure status.
It's actually made me feel pretty pessimistic about any possible buffs/reworks going forward. I'm just starting not to care anymore, it's gotten to a point where any change is either meaningless or a backhanded nerf, aside from Nurse and Blight which make absolutely no sense.
They don't buff. Every "buff" as of late has been little more than a QOL update. they improve some things while taking away others to keep them in their place.
I guess they don't want another wraith and freddy. Still terrible killers but can stomp bad players so they get dumpstered. Give back wraiths lunge!
-
to be fair, it was really annoying having a ghostie 2 feet from you but you couldn't expose him because he crouched next to a barrel for 0.1 second and it reset.

They get greedy at Loops BECAUSE they have Dead Hard. They did NOT get greedy and negated their mistake. They did NOT screw up. A good Survivor with DH does not make a mistake, they do the extra Loop because they know they can get away with it.
So pushing them to the bad side of a loop before breaking it and them still making the next pallet because of E for distance was fully planned and not just crutching hard core on a poorly designed perk.
Huh.. the things you learn.

My first guess would be the TAA which is now forced on. However, the problem could also be that lowering the graphics preset also caused the Resolution Scale setting to reduce.
Check that Resolution Scale is set to 100.
This. Anything below ultra lowers resolution scale. You need to raise it manually.

I have, several times, and it's really not nice. (Shadow step annoys me way more than COH)
Started seeing an up tick in shadow step. I am also not happy about it :( Nightmare in indoor maps

Threadripper 2950x
64GB of RAM
RTX 2080
Only nvme 3GB/s storage, the one for games are not using the same pcie lanes as the one for OS.
I got a ping of 32ms on the server. I've also noticed in one occurrence, the other players had 60ms to the server, which is on the low side.
The game turns at 120fps even during the stuttering.
A wide range of machine seem affected.
ergo : In my opinion it's not the machine and probably not the connection. It's either all their servers, either region related.
Consoles vs PC may be interesting to know in case it's a problem of resource usage, which would spike more on slower machines but the location is the first candidate I'd like to isolate.
lol with stats like that it can't be the machine.
I have notice a heap of funky business going on. Getting insane auto aim into walls and rocks. Had the game slow down when i went to hit a 175 ping console survivor out in the open, and it just made me whiff air without damaging them. i got stunned and then hit a survivor on the other side of a pallet (heard the hit sound after i was stunned). Perhaps they are fiddling with validation again?
-
Just curious op, but what cpu do you have?
I have been getting stuttering and rubber banding since the update. My cpu has gone from 50-60% usage to 80-100%

I put on some tapes and couldn't even hear killer instinct. The music was a nerf that they tacked on to justify the money they spent on fiver. He use to be silent while in frenzy.

That is the issue with Coh regardless of the healing speed they can heal themselves which gives you barely any pressure, the time you used to hit the survivor is basicly nullified by the ability to self heal, especially if it is infinit with Coh.
Injuring survivors used to be strong, why? Because they needed a second person that has to get off the gen to heal them OR they used self care which is a -1 perk for a 32 sec self heal which also benefits you as Killer.
Because of one single Coh ALL survivors can self heal without using up an perk slot. I really dont get why so many ppl dont see this simple fact lol
yep.
Here you go people that think its fine. Watch this and see if it changes your mind.

Ooh, a stinging rebuttal! I’ve totally changed my opinion, good job. 👍
Can't change the impossible. You think the range is a limitation and that says enough that the discussion is pointless. You also think setting time matters but fail to realise that there are 4 survivors who never stop their objective while a killer snuffing a boon loses 100% efficiency compared to the survivor setting at 75% efficiency.
A killer walking to the edge of the map to snuff a boon is getting nothing done while a survivor running back to set it isn't stopping the other 3 working on generators.
A survivor only needs to get within 24m of a boon to heal and can be on a different floor. A killer needs to snuggle up to the boon to snuff it even then they are designed to be annoying and bounce you off them.
Want another nerf? The survivor should have to tbag the boon to activate it and heal just themselves, after that it turns off again until the next survivor touches it.

But it’s not “full self team healing” because it’s limited by range and snuffable and setup time. Those downsides can’t be entirely dismissed.
lol
-
@dugman said:
Regarding the Circle of Healing nerf, the healing speed is a vital stat. Say it took 60 seconds to self heal using the perk, nobody would ever bother doing that. You’d probably throw the game trying. On the other hand if it took 10 seconds to self heal that would be really overpowered. So where that time is set can make this perk go from extremely powerful to hopelessly weak and everywhere in between.
If I had to guess it should probably be at or maybe slightly faster than the standard speed for Self Healing (32 seconds). I say slightly faster because I’m guessing the downsides of having to spend additional time setting the Boon up and it only working in a small area and being snuffable somewhat outweigh the benefit of other survivors being able to use it. Right now as of this patch I think the speed is 23 seconds or something like that? I have no idea if that’s still too fast or in the right ballpark but it definitely moved in the right direction from the original 16 seconds or so it used to be.
My main point though is adjusting that self-healing speed for Circle of Healing actually is the most sensible way to tune it. It’s an amount that can be finely adjusted to any desired degree and which can directly make the effect range anywhere from super strong to super weak, all without having to entirely reinvent the wheel. In fact the hardest part isn’t changing the number, that’s easy, it’s the testing afterward to pivot out how much impact the new version actually has on escape rates which probably takes a while.
nope. full self team healing at the cost of 1/16 perk slots is just bad.
it should NOT be better than bringing your own including self care.
Self heal 32s for the owner and 42s for others. there, if you don't want to remove a mistake then make it balanced.
-
@BenZ0 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2927396#Comment_2927396
ye thats what I mean with it. The best way to deal with CoH is still to give it tokens that are beeing used up for each compelted heal action and once the tokens are gone the boon snuffs itsself. The heal speed could even go back to 100% then.
nope. tokens are not the answer to boons, the solution must be permanent or have a heavy time delay like 2 minute cooldown.
Even better. delete the abomination that killed the game and think of something that isn't awful for the game.

I have no idea how you assumed he was camping, as that's an incredibly aggressive build he had.
This Legion pulled off 5 hits nearly every time, except for when I stunned him with a pallet where he simply used his Frenzy again and hit me but at least I didn't go down.
Legion getting 5 hits is a valid and dangerous concern now. The Mending time-waste is significant and his ability having lethality helps him.
I think you need to spend some more time playing as and against him before you make a firm opinion.
I don't see how a survivor pre dropping or splitting up to prevent hits is a skill issue on my part and not survivors having conscious thought. I am not using cheat software so i can only run as fast as the game will let me.
how does that legion perform on eyre of crows or a farm map?

Or you're not that great at Legion, either is possible.
It is completely possible to force it with very little opportunity for counter-play. Had a Legion take us to The Game, had the Never-Sleep Pills and Julie's Mixtape.
Enduring, DMS, PR and Spirit Fury. Very very difficult to play against, even with his lower movement speed.
Sounds like he was camping. Why are you not doing gens?
I got some with never sleep pills but good luck getting 5 hits without it.
Iri button and julies mixtape is the most meme thing i have ever seen. Why are you stunning a legion in frenzy? you are in zero danger until they fatigue and that gives you enough time to loop around and be safe. I tried it and the survivors just never dropped pallets while i was in frenzy, and then pre dropped to avoid spirit fury.
Legions power is in the hands of survivors.

That would hurt the feel feels of people and would create "toxic elitism" as the dev's said. This game is all warm, cuddly and wholesome where everyone is a winner!

I don't think it's necessarily a strength issue people are having. It's more of a "holy **** I'm mending for the 5th time in less than 5 minutes and I want to move on" type thing.
If you are getting hit that often by a legion then you or your team are doing something wrong. I still have not managed to get a 5 hit down with my power because my survivors are somewhat sentient and don't huddle together like sheep.
-
Not if you don't have paid actors as killer.
-
Need to give survivors 3 months warning before they nerf a meta perk.
-
I would rather old hadon at this point..
I need to play it more, but i am running into what op describes. Survivors run to the middle building to abuse the busted window in the front. If you try to reverse it they have enough time to switch to another building or go wherever they want really. There is enough junk in the middle to defend against ranged killers, and the filler pallets are broken or buy enough time against non ranged.
Gen spawns are awful to defend as well.
-
The playerbase complained about old match making and started saying it was meaningless and just a show of play time. They did want bhvr to make a better match making system, but they idea was to fix the old system. Not this abomination.
The old system got so bad because they wanted everyone to feel good about themselves and reach rank 1. They made the pip requirements easier at lower ranks, They got rid of rank reset and they refused to remove the safety pip. Just removing the safety pip and increasing pip requirements would have done wonders for the system. Sure trash players would actually know they suck and never reach rank 1, but that's how things work.
-
They made gen bubbles override auras afaik (it does for bbq). Poor widdle survivors need all the second chances they can get.
