I dont have one, I run different perks on every killer/survivor
-
Im just afking a lot, ez rift farm
-
Its all about balance, its all just numbers, if you give something here you have to take something there.
If killers just get a bigger FoV... the limited FoV is based on something, its designed to be like it is, if they just give killers a better FoV then survivors would get better means to hide themselves.
Unrelenting, again, is just numbers, they balanced the game with a certain timing for missed swings, if you want that faster, then again, they would probably nerf something else somewhere.
Up the Ante....we want luck buffed? luck is already such an odd arbitrary thing, what does it mean to have it buffed? you just want survivors to be able to Kobe more often in general?
Any Means Necessary, well that is just a big fat nope, that is not numbers, that is just giving the survivors flatout more power, no can do.

Mindbreaker: recommended on stealth killers.
Unrelenting: honestly underrated, but still meh at the same time.
Change "recommended" to "only possible sometimes somewhat usable on" and I agree.
And yes Unrelenting can work out decently, survivors who try to dodge attacks have a timing in their heads, if you suddenly go faster they tend to not be read, hence I did not put unrelenting in there.
-
Killers dont really have a meta as different killers have different powers and thus some perks work better then others.
I guess BBQ is still obviously up there.
-
Just for the achievement, other then that nope, I mean I have it planned on a survivor as I want to give all survivors their own unique perks.
But I think its just in general so situational I dont really care for it.

Want a better experience? Have an actual tutorial. Then, have a testing grounds, where new players can see actual perks and killers in effect, and not having to go into a match near blind.
and how about the option to do "custom game" without needing any other players just so you can run around a bit and get a feel for it?
-
While the idea is not bad in theory, what if the killer semi camps? Example: A survivor comes for the rescue, the unhook.
The unhooked survivor gets downed instandly because no borrowed time.
The killer proceeds to go after the unhooking survivor and downs them quickly, then hooks them.
Then comes back for the originally hooked survivor still slugged on the floor and hooks them
I would still say that was preeetty tunnely of the killer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think Otz (no im not some fanboy) had a good idea in that when you have DS you are just not allowed to do ANYTHING other then being healed, healing yourself or moving.
It just should not be this shield that you can abuse to just do gens etc while you sitll have it.
Next to that it should also be turned off when entering the exit door area to prevent the killers lack of power in that situation.
-
it just depends on the killer, thats all.
If you have high mobility, can one shot or apply some status that keeps survivors busy, you can do without Ruin.
If you are missing that, for example with the Clown, then....yeah Ruin or the like is very useful if not mandatory.

What a faulty assumption. Do you even play killer? You really think they go "Gee these gens sure are poppin' maybe we'll NOT do everything in our power to slow the game down...JUST A LIL BIT". No it's the devs fault for nerfing killer perks and add-ons there, chief.
Welllll technically I dont use add ons or offerings sooooo yeah
-
considering Myers and Freddy atleast are pretty much immortal, yeah its going to be a long fight.
But Myers because, lets be honest, he is the OG slasher
-
Yep happens all the time, DS is the meta sadly because survivors tend to have no spine or skill at all so they use whatever OP crap they can.
-

I mean, Killers can destroy 4 Survivors to get rid of Adrenaline. But other than that, every one of those Perks has a Counter which does not involve any work from the Killer.
DS-->Dont go for the unhooked guy.
Unbreakable-->Pick the downed guy up. (In fact, its the Killers decision to slug... unbreakable is the counter to this decision)... And if someone does not go for the unhooked person right away, they also dont have to deal with that "either get DSed or Unbreakable"-Shenaningans.
BT-->Hit the Unhooker. Usually, if they are really hook-rushing, it is a Trade, because you can easily get a Hit before the Unhook and most likely after the Unhook as well.
Do you ever play killer? because it sure looks like you dont.

By the time you got all 5 they genrushed you and are out the door anyways lmao
I would personally enjoy doing that more then going for rather pointless chases myself, go out the door, gladly, leave asap so I can get my rift progress.

I'll say this one more time.
NOED= Weak and lazy killer knowing from the beginning that the game is pretty much over.
One shot and extra movement speed= Killer can't handle the end game.
Earn your kills. 0 respect for NOED killers.
zero respect for DS, BT, Adren, DH, Unbreakable users as well, but hey its the meta so I guess I dont respect 99% of the survivors out there sadly.
Man Killers can only dream of having to destroy 5 of something to completely take away any of those perks, just imagine
-
sooooo they waste their time and otz 4k's....what is the problem again?
-
who cares?

NOED is not fine and not fair.
Its literally a DS for killers.
NOED rewards you for failing at protecting gens, without having any conditions other than 1 dull totem surviving.
DS rewards you for getting caught again in the 60s, doesnt matter if you got tunneled or are doing a gen in the killers face.
NOEDs power should be based on amount of hooks/downs/whatever you did before it activates, so that it requires you to play well and not just be losing the game.
DS should disable as soon as survivor starts doing objectives or there are no other targets remaining. The timer should be paused while in a chase, so that its an anti tunneling perk and not unconditional immunity for 60s.
Rather then seeing it as rewarding the killer for doing poorly, you should see it as punishing the survivors for doing poorly, which is what it is.
If survivors think they can just do gens quickly and get out, and just ignore the potential thread of NoeD that is always present, that is their choice and risk to take, pushing survivors to do totems is a good thing for the game's health in general.
-
They just need to nerf the combination of them tbh, making DS an exhaustion perk would go a long way.
BT, not sure how to limit that a tad.
Lose from that, think about Dead Hard for a moment, why was it added?
Because of David King's other perk, No Mither, ot make sure you are not just one shot, you have dead hard, but everyone just runs it without No Mither so its a perk that is kinda too strong. its original intend make sense, but they way its used now does not.
-
@Kai6864 said:
It also once again buffs survivors and that’s not what we need right now. If one guy is bringing Prove Thyself it’ll give the incentive to bring a toolbox and get everything done faster. Could be a nightmare with head on too. It’s already a pain to see someone in game have No Mither let alone in a lobby. Dodge-central right there.
However, I really do agree with the Camaraderie point- I think it needs to be known when a hooked survivor has Camaraderie ready to be activated, it would make the perk so much better.
personally I just feel Camaraderie needs to be flipped, aka you have it so you can stop the timer for another survivor on the hook when you are within X meters.

What do you mean you are afking in the basement, hows that help with progressing with the rift? Im curious lol
you get rift progress basically just per match, 1 match is 1 out of 10 ermm whatever the rift currency is, and 10 is 1 rift level.

The people that aren't garbage have no problem playing without ruin so yes. The babies throw tantrums on the forum or go IG and have mixed results with facecamp/tunnel. God forbid people could learn from their mistakes.
So unless you're playing one of the few killers that actually do have serious balance issues rn like clown, demo, etc. you need to stop moaning and actually improve.
I never ran ruin to begin with....but yes I do play clown, demo, legion, I play them all...sooo yeah.
-
personally currently afk'ing in the basement, survivors team is messing about I think, im watching a youtube vid.
Survivor lobbies take to long so if I want to make any progress in the rift, this is my current route.

@bendermac said:
Original all the way. These are the best/more interesting killers
that just does not make any sense, both are made up characters, you cant possible call one more or less interesting.
That said usually movie characters are far more fleshed out then the characters in dbd
-
He is pretty epic
-
I want a freddy skin where his hat is just tipped forward more, like in the actual image
-
depends on how the killer played, in general I do think its funny when a killer just gives up mid chase and ends it.
But, at the same time its sad, I know the feeling from the killer side to know the game is just over.
-
depends on the time, yesterday, watching Otz a bit
-
Killers dont have time to be toxic, gens go too fast and there are tea bagging survivors to run after right up to the point they run out of hte doors.
-
"So, after two weeks, maybe a bit more, I can say that I saw ruin in maybe 10% of the games, at the most."
yeah.... that was the point..... this is a success.
When you give players a ton of options and yert 50% runs A, then somehting is wrong.
They made Ruin a more generic perk to use, that was always the point.
-
Yes and yes but I think only vaguely, like Deja Vu

because its not worth it over all the second chance perks?
who cares about hex perks? its freaking glowing, you can find it easily 99% of the time.
and who cares about NoeD when you dont get it thanks to DH, or wont go down thanks to BT? or when you do can just DS and move on?
Dont get me wrong, I love Detectives Hunch, I use it on my Adam but its pretty clear why its not the meta.

Like I explained above: you cant hit surviviors you cant hit. But if there is more than one survivior that can be hit, it will choose the closest.
and that is just nonsense, 2 survivors infront of you, you aim for the one usually right infront but the camera swings left and you "hit" the one not even in the dream, you would have hit the one you were aiming for 100% if that other person was not there but the game auto aimed you to the other.
Auto Aim is just a thing nad its terrible.

It adjusts the animation to hit THE CLOSEST survivior. Apparently it does not matter is a survivior is hooked, awake, dead, undergound, in the sky, a ghost or if its your mom
yeah so it auto aims for the closest survivor then.
-
yeahhh... like how old freddy would lock on to the survivors who were not in the dream state even though you are aiming that those that are?
yeah...totally no auto aim.
-
Because the vast majority of potato survivors reach red ranks, Im an example of that, but that does not go for killers

What exactly is the meta? Most exhaustion perks aren't too troublesome, but Unbreakable and Adrenaline give free health states so those can be seen as problematic.
BT, DS, Adrenaline, Unbreakable, Dead Hard
Have all 4 survivors run that and you are in for a good time.
-
We dont change the game, we fix everything with perks
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
Aren't games fast enough?
With a survivor bully squad?
no, they will do all the gens but 99 the last and just harass you the entire time.
-
a surrender option was actually something the devs once talked about on stream, a "Concede" option.
But I guess they did not want killers to just give up all the time as that would totally ruin the game.
So instead of adressing why killers might want to surrender, they just straight up never gave the option.
10/10 game design.
-
The meta is the problem, ESPECIALLY in combination, you are basically fighting 4 x 2 x 2 x 2 survivors
-
well I mean, yeah it can be related...or not... I dont see how it really matters?
The next killer is the great grandfather of the Doctor, literally nothing to do with him or his story, could not be related at all and the story would be teh same but there ya go, they are related.
-
yeah its great
-
when gens go to quick I just give up and sit in the basement, if thats the game they want, fine.
-
how does one turn their computer up to 100?
You mean the volume of the sound device you are using on your computer?
-
well argueable 10 being there means it will be easier to find 5 ;)
-
Honestly I feel the shouting is really poorly done in this game.
Phantasmagoria 2 had a moment where a character died and her death scream was nerf wrecking, in this game its all a bit silly really.
https://youtu.be/VIc-tCq9_Fw?t=418 -
It is complete horsecrap to hide a generic challenge behind a DLC specific one, that is just a really poor choice
