No Way Out requires you to have 4 unique hooks though to get max value, and if you managed to get that with a build with only end-game perks, then you deserve to win tbh

Dude that happens pretty much every match... That's nearly as easy as the Archives challenges that require you to "start a chase with 4 different survivors in one match".

All they get is a quick 3 minute match resulting in everyone having less than 18,000 bloodpoints. It's a complete waste of time.

You think Survivor players want points? Anyone who wants points plays Killer. As a survivor, if the Killer wants to, they can eject you from the match before you even get 5k. As a Killer, the only way you're match is ending without you getting at least 15k is if you don't try. Plus BBQ stacks are much easier to get than WGLF.

It's not all about points. Sometimes people just want to play to take a load off and have some fun.

  • The main thing to remember is that Killers can forcefully eject survivors from the match, preventing them from playing. Killers on the other hand, regardless of how the survivors play, will always be in the match from start to finish.

When you tunnel someone, you're effectively preventing someone from being able to play the game. If survivors were able to do this to killers, most people on the forums would be up in arms.

But it's fine if it happens to survivors though. /s

  • Idk...

Why do some killers think it's necessary to sweat when all my friends and I want to do is play a few games of DBD together after a long day at work? We just want to have a few laid back games; but all we get are killers running Ruin+Undying, Iri Head, Moris, Freddy, and NOED. What's the point in this? What do they get out of it?

I'll be giving Trapper a try tomorrow night then! Woohoo, swfs are gonna finally hate me if this is true.

Wait, so is bug exploitation okay now?

  • Yeah... I'm done with survivor until hitboxes get fixed and and 360s are back. These maps have too many dead zones and the removal of 360s just makes me stand still and wait for death because I know there's nothing I can even try to do about it anymore. I know 360ing didn't always help. But it was better than just having literally nothing.

Already back at rank 1 with killer and loving how easy it is to gimp people with the broken hitboxes. Maybe all I have to do is be a toxic killer and the playerbase will start to die off and the devs might notice that.

  • I personally love Wraith the most and think he's fine how he is without wanting him changed.

And like my Wraith, I also run a Steamrolling build on Legion and Blight.

  • If the Devs increase healing speed, survivors will start healing again.

But, killer mains decided to complain about healing, so survivors adapted like they're always told to.

  • PC player with half of my DBD friends on console...

It's not a console VS PC thing. People (myself included) are just sometimes done with it. After several bad matches with campers/tunnellers/bad teammates/annoying killers, any player gets tired of it.

Pretty sure most of us can tell when a match has already gone bad and we just don't want to be in it anymore. Plus, if we can't just leave a match that we aren't having fun in without being punished for not taking it up the ass, the only other option is to just die on hook.

There is no shame in running ds. It's literally there to serve the purpose of helping you when tunneled.

If this forum has taught me anything, it's that places like this and the DBD subreddit WILL shame you for running DS. No matter the reason.

I'd argue it's more of Survivor self defense.

If people are really getting butthurt over calling Victor a baby, then they shouldn't be playing 'M' - Rated games.

  • You're brave to post this here... Most of the inhabitants would eat you alive for such knowledge.

Using a key to escape with your teammates is an extremely overpowered concept; that’s why survivor mains like it. And keys have never been nerfed, while Moris have been nerfed twice

Keys don't remove players from the game. Nor can they be used within 2 minutes of the match starting.

  • Who cares?

Honestly. This is a game about people (and Demogorgon) being taken to another plain of reality to be forced into a death game over and over forever. No part of this game includes people wanting to have sex with anyone else. The farthest we need to go with this is The Clown's VHS Porn Add-On. Leave the rest up to fan stuff as it has nothing to do with the actual game.

  • Reporting on their site with video evidence of overly blatant hacking goes unnoticed. This doesn't shock me at all.

That being said, while this is poor behavior on the person saying these things and they shouldn't be saying them, it's just words. It's not hurting anyone and doesn't hurt gameplay. This is an M-Rated game and online interactions are not rated in online games for this very reason. If words bother you, just don't participate in game chat and go to your next match. That way, the racist person won't even have anyone to talk to.

  • Only two? That's a rookie number!

  • Simple.

Because as long as the survivor getting camped gets nothing out of it, they'll just suicide on hook. They have no reason to stay and keep the killer busy when their reward for doing so is depipping and not getting BP.

  • @gibblywibblywoo said:

If this is happeneing literally every game than the killers you're facing probably notice you're the weakest link on the team and gunning for you. Also no one cares what perks you use.

"no one cares what perks you use"

Tell that to every single forum post complaining about DS, Unbreakable, BT, and Soul Guard dude.

  • @gibblywibblywoo said:

Sounds like you need to play better.

So, what you're saying is, if I can't run a killer around for 5 gens, then I'm not good enough at the game?

Wow. What brilliant insight. You've given me so much to think about!

  • I also just saw your video. That wasn't a graphical bug. That's just hooking in general. It's a bug that happens on all maps and has nothing to do with graphics.

60 fps? I can't tell if you're imaging things or just lying.

Until your post, no one else has complained about the graphical changes. We asked for optimization and we instead got a graphic change AND optimization. My only guess is that you're playing on either an original Xbox One or an original PS4.

  • I play mostly on a PS4 Pro and I've actually been hitting 60fps 95% of the time since the update and I love it. Not sure what you're talking about.

    1. They might be new players. New players tend to try to just hide and hope it solves their problems.
    2. If they're stuck at a 3 gen, there's not much they can do about it besides just die. You can't blame them for not wanting to die...
    3. You can't get mad at survivors for hiding. Go out and look for them. That's not survivor entitlement. If anything, you're acting entitled to getting a 4k.
  • @Nicholas said:

These perks are actually based on The Killer's decisions. If you don't slug, no one has the opportunity to use Unbreakable. If they can't use Unbreakable, SG is rendered useless. Everyone has been crying about DS knows exactly how it works, if you grab a Survivor within 60 seconds of them being rescued you will be stunned. Eat the stun or avoid that player. Red rank PS4 killer and I never run into these perks. In fact I love when people run these perks because they get zero you use out of them. 75% of their perks are worthless. Unbreakable works one time, yet people can be slugged unlimited number of times. Deal with it, don't slug. If it makes sense to slug, there's a risk that someone will have Unbreakable. When you make the decision to slug you have to factor in that risk. People run these perks because they feel they get use out of them based on how many killers play. The problem isn't survivors that run these perks, it's the way some maybe most Killers play that compel people to equip these perks. If no one slug, you would never see unbreakable because it would be pointless and a waste of time.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I don't want to run those perks. I'd rather run gimmick builds having to do with things like vaulting, sabo, no mither, or breakout. But I can't because nearly every game, I'm downed less than 10 seconds off the hook and put right back on without a chance to do anything. The second I dare to try something fun, and the killer sees there's no obsession in the game; that's their cue to camp/tunnel everyone they get their hands on because there's no penalty for it.

As killer, I hardly run into this problem because I don't give them the chance to use those perks. I essentially play with mostly perkless survivors.

That build shouldn't HAVE TO exist. Unfortunately, it does. And, unfortunately, I'm forced to run it if I actually want to play the game.

  • No way it's still on. I get hit from miles away as survivor and still get cucked by auto-aim as killer.

  • I don't see it as a Knock Out nerf. This is much more of a Knock Out buff alongside making The Third Seal kinda useless.

  • Yeah. Exhaustion is great! Too bad there's no exhaustion system already in the game for survivors. We can dream though!

  • Fun Fact: If you don't tunnel or camp, both DS and Borrowed Time are useless to the survivors! You should try it! (it makes them so mad when you don't let them use their perks!)

  • @chase131119 said:

Survivors would suicide on hook after they got their crown

I see killers going AFK after getting theirs.

  • I play (mostly) on PS4 as well and I WISH I had your luck. It seems like I get it at least 1/3 of all my matches.

  • Wraith is top tier.

At least mine is. I hecking love Wraith!

  • I think it's because of some YouTuber who recently made fan music for a Springtrap killer. I remember it coming into my recommended a few days ago.

I'd be fine with the addition as I think it would make for a decent killer. Plus, using Springtrap specifically means that it's not some dead kid inside that thing. It's an adult murderer. It would fit well with the rest of the cast.

  • If they're t-bagging or clicking at the gate when you let them leave, they might be trying to thank you. There really aren't much ways of communication with the killer as survivor in-game. Sure, some of them might be being rude about it. But, as someone who's only crown was due to a lucky hatch find, I'd only t-bag just to show that I understand what you did and I thank you for it.

  • @Bovinity said:

It's 4 min max. Less if you had been downed before.

Get up, get a drink, go watch a kitten video, whatever. It's not like you're being oppressed here.

Some people only have specific times they can get some matches in because of work, family, life, etc. Spending 4 minutes wasting your time isn't very fun.

  • Fun Fact: If you don't immediately go after people who were just unhooked or picked up off the ground, you end up making their DS, BT, and SG completely useless! It's like you get to delete a perk slot from the survivor!

  • @Bovinity said:

    Survivors: "Don't tunnel!"

Also Survivors: "I'm thirsty for those unhook points, so I'm gonna unhook right in your face every time."

Also survivors 2: "Look! Now the killer is tunneling and camping because he had the nerve to hit me when I unhooked right in their face! I have to run BT and DS now, even though I really just hate to do it. Really don't want to, honest. But now that I'm running them, I'm gonna REALLY unhook right in your face and blame you!"

Weird how I never run into people calling me a tunneler/camper when playing killer. If I see someone rushing for a hook save in my face, I go after the guy who rushed. Not the guy who was on the hook due to it not being their fault. Almost like punishing the guy who unhooked before I could leave.

    Weird how well that works.

  • @ermsy said:

Maybe it's a PC thing but on ps4 I don't get many tunneling and camping killers. But I do run kindred just in case, it just counters camping.

I play on PS4 80% of the time and PC 20%... It doesn't matter which platform.

  • DS is simple. Just don't tunnel. Even if you do somehow still get hit by it without actually tunneling, clearly you're good enough to constantly down people constantly, so it shouldn't matter anyway.

Gen Rushing is just survivors doing the ONE thing they're told to do. Can't blame them for holding M1 because you were too busy trying to set every single trap before getting into your first chase.

Toxicity on a survivor end comes down to t-bagging and flashlight clicking. While I don't condone doing either of these things, neither of them actually affect how the killer plays. If anything, t-bagging leaves less time for the survivor to distance themselves from the killer and flashlight clicking also wastes distancing time as well as their flashlight battery.

Things like tunneling one guy off each hook till they're dead, face-camping at the start of the match, and slugging because you know you tunneled and saw that you have an obsession in the game just remove the survivor's ability to play the game and all of which can be done without the use of perks on the killer end.

While I showed a build I'd like to try but can't due to the things listed in the OP and then listed perks that each counter those specific things (being the only way it seems we can play and deal with those 4 things), you listed random perks you'd like to try (I'm honestly gonna steal that build, cause it looks kinda fun) but you think you won't be able to play the game because of "DS, 'Gen Rushing', and 'toxicity'". So you think BBQ, Nurses, Pop, and Stridor are going to help you against that. I'd honestly like to know how. I really do.

The ONLY thing that your "required" perk list counters a little bit is Pop against "Gen Rushing". But even that won't save you from having to actually go and chase survivors yourself.

TLDR: A killer can stop DS by not tunneling. A killer can stop "Gen Rushing" by applying pressure and forcing saves by hooking survivors and getting on with the next chase. A killer doesn't get affected by "toxicity" because t-bagging and flashlight clicking do not affect the killer gameplay. Survivors are REQUIRED to run perks to stand a chance against tunneling, face camping, and slugging. NOED can be countered without perks, but too much time is spent looking for totems when your potato teammates are all immersed Claudettes in the grass.

So 1 draw, in what appears to be balanced and good game for both sides, 1 survivor win where the killer still got 24K, and a DC game. Is this actually supposed to be a convincing argument? It’s not...at all. Sorry but this is just completely pointless., as you obviously wouldn’t have posted any screenshots where the killer won anyway.

I get the impression that you believe killers should 3-4K most games?

Exactly. Based on the screenshots, the game seems pretty balanced.

wait but what if after host dies then it would just make the person with the next best connection host and if the killer had the best connection it wouldnt matter?

Trust me when I say that DBD does NOT need a host migration "feature"

  • That won't work because a survivor can be killed and leave the match before the match is over.

Can you please let the team know if it’s possible to change the wiggle controls on console from a joystick to L1-R1 on PS4 and LB -RB on Xbox. The joystick is very inconsistent, it’s much easier on PC when you alternate between 2 buttons.

You don't have to do that. Literally just spin your control stick. You don't even have to do it quickly. It works great and doesn't damage your controller.

  • @SnakeSound222 said:

Hell no to Access Denied and Mind Games. The first one relies way too much on RNG and the second one is only doable if you let all five gens go (you can't close the Hatch to start the EGC and open the gate). I hate challenges that heavily rely on RNG or require you to basically lose the game.

Eye for an Eye sounds like it'll be a huge pain in the ass to get, especially when perks like Mad Grit, Iron Grasp, and Agitation exist and the Killer can just decide not to chase after you.

Excessive Force is going to be annoying to get because Killers check to make sure no one's going for a save and the timing isn't the easiest to get down. Making it like 1 or 2 saves and not in a single game would be ok.

Risky Rescuer is also going to be annoying because Killers aren't always in range of the basement and getting unhooks can be really competitive. You might leave your gen and run to the basement only to realize that someone else got there first, meaning you just wasted your time. Finishing the normal unhook challenges is already bad enough. This is just going to be hell to finish.

Your other ideas are fine though.

I mean... They're called "challenges" for a reason.

  • Survivors aren't welcome to the forums. They haven't been ever since this place became one big circle jerk for killer mains. The amount of upvotes legit killer main posts get compared to legit survivor posts says it all.

If you say anything in favor of killers, you're rewarded with money and blowjobs. If you say anything in favor of survivors, you're crucified and lynched on the spot and immediately called "toxic" without people even knowing your playstyle.

  • You need to learn when to break a chase. That seems to be your problem.

  • It's just you. I've been having nothing but moris, noed, tunnel, bubba-facecamps for the last 3ish months

  • There are several games that run and look absolutely fantastic on the Switch.

The game just isn't optimized properly. It used to basically be this bad on PS4 and Xbox and it took them quite a while to get the game to run as good as it does now.

Give it time. Hopefully they'll focus more on console optimization soon.

  • Put survivors in first person
