Constantly DC so that I wouldn't have to suffer through matches as much.
-
Killer. Easily.
- I get WAY more points for less effort.
- I can't be ejected out of the game.
- The only form of BM my opponents can do to me literally wastes their running time.
- No annoying "teammates".
- If someone pisses me off, I can actually punish them for it.
- Hitting people feels so good as stress relief instead of running away.

Yes, because they made it easy to ignore them. It's a 4v1 game, why shouldn't your teammates play for the team? When I'm playing Survivor I'll run right up on a tunneling killer and force them to acknowledge me. I'll pop gens, drop pallets and do my best to blind them if I have a flashlight. I do that so my teammates live and we win. If that means getting hooked by a pissed off killer who camps me the rest of the game, so be it. If the team wins, we all win.
I'm sorry if the people you got stuck with aren't team players, that's as frustrating here as it is when on OW and nobody wants to stay with the payload, but it's not the other team's duty to cover for your team refusing to play as a team, in any game.
Are you serious?
How tf is it the survivors' fault if the killer ignores the 3 others and focuses on just one for the whole game? How are survivors supposed to change the killer player's free will?
-
I've run DH only to get the Adept achievement for David. It's an awful perk. Quite literally "Exhausted on the ground simulator" and nothing more. So easily baitable too.
-
Yep. It's BS that someone is allowed to completely stop another player from being able to play and people call it a "strategy". It's blatant griefing.

It doesn't take a perk.
It takes a team. You either have a team who will take the aggro, or you don't. Getting tunneled out of the game? Blame the 3 teammates who let it happen and did nothing to stop it.
Ah yes. Because it's my team of randoms' fault if the killer ignores them and tunnels me. Of course.
-
To be fair, it punishes stealth...
Stealth should be encouraged.
-
Tunneling shouldn't even require a perk to counter. I shouldn't have to use a perk to be allowed to play the game instead of spending the whole time on a hook.
-
Plague has always been at the top of my "most hated killers" list.
If you cleanse, she gets a sprinkler that kills you. If you don't, you're exposed forever. It's a lose lose.
-
Or you could just go chase someone else while the person on the ground can't do anything.
I haven't had this happen to me. I've only seen it happen to killers who were face camping.
-
Careful... You'll upset the hive mind with a pro-survivor post.
-
While it's good to finally see something other than "survivor bad", I wish you the best of luck against the hive mind.

Going by recent discussions: killers DC if you run in a straight line.
Unfortunate facts.
-
The only way you guys won't whine about perks is if Survivors have none.

As someone who plays both more or less equally, nah, it's pretty fair here. Maybe if you played Killer you'd see it too. It's appears to be you who is used to survivor safe spaces, and can't respect a truly open forum. It's called confirmation bias.
Lemme guess, you watch Morf.
Dont even know who that is. Stopped watching the majority of DBD Youtubers and streamers about a year ago.

The same is true for anything that's pro-killer. It's never "99% of the community" it's a loud minority, or a few posts on the forum...
I think you forgot where you were... This is the DBD forums. The biggest killer main circle jerk on the internet.
-
@Raz_ said:
i get your point and its accurate, but dont be unfair towards killer players there are also a lot survivors who have the same mindset with other rules.
lets just say, both sides have their stupid rules nobody is suppose to follow. everyone can use or play how they like to play the game.
Wait... So now playing WITH the killer main's ruleset is unfair??
How would you like for survivors to play then?
-
@poplavok said:
Hi.
As a killer main I can give you couple more.
No dead hard over traps! That's toxic AND disrespectful.
No cleansing hex totems. I hate when survivors cleanse my 5 stacks Huntress lullaby 😡🙄
No hiding into the locker with DS! Please, just let me slug you
Already not playing with perks
-
As someone who kills themselves on first hook because 9/10 matches in purple ranks result in a camp, DS means nothing to me.
-
The point is that it's something the survivors can use to avoid the killer. And anytime there's something that's pro-survival, 99% of the community complains about it.
-
If someone puts their TTV in their name, they're asking for it. Nuff said.
-
@AceOfSpades1773 said:
You got any proof of this? The claim that running is toxic? I would love to see it.
True Talent
-
I have stopped running all perks and will now refuse to heal at all because that is toxic towards oppressed killers.

Oh I see you're a hypocrite. Nevermind.
Sure dude. Enjoy the circle jerk.

Add it to the list of things killers get called toxic for doing.
Maybe grow a thicker skin and ignore it instead.
Will thick skin counter camping, tunneling, and slugging? Will it allow me to play the game I paid for?
-
@linancy said:
When two survivors remain sometimes our killer feels pity after hooking me twice. they let me struggle to leave their shoulder and walk away from them.
But eventually they are coming back to down me and killing me on the hook.
It always confuses me.. what they wanted me to do?
If you do the same thing, why do you do it?
They're using you to farm for points. Anytime this happens to me, I either DC or go AFK because the match is just over at that point.
-
@Nobsyde said:
holding W is not toxic, it's just boring for every party involved. You'd have more fun playing a driving simulator instead 🥕
I'm just trying to figure out what I'm even allowed to do in this game anymore without a killer calling me toxic.
-
@Seraphor said:
Why don't you make your straw man arguments in the same thread you're replying to?
The video by True was demonstrating how effective just holding W is against a M1 killer on a large map. Not once did he say "It's not FAIR that survivors get to hold W!"
Nearly every single one of your points is blatantly petulant and shows you never play Killer.
Because holding W is the newest in the list of things I'm told I'm toxic for doing wrong. It was 1/15th of the whole list.
-
I've been told to "do bones" and that I'm toxic for breaking hex totems. I can't wain.
-
Ah, circle jerk bait. Very original.
-
This. And let us kick away survivors going for the rescue 2 inches from the killer! I'm sick of being farmed!
-
I only DC on first hook when I know the match is lost or if I'm getting camped. No point in playing when that happens.
I don't see why you'd DC on last hook because you'd be out of the match anyway.
-
Holy sh!t this is a circle jerk...

No one's missing your point, it's just that you don't have a good one to begin with.
Like Seraphor said, the mechanic is in place to prevent the Killer from taking you to the basement every single hook. it's not there to give you an escape every time, or even one in ten times.
The perks you mentioned like Breakout and Boil Over are meant to assist in escaping, and is in no way meant to be a guarantee of doing so.
Me: explains TWICE that a wiggle change should NOT be a free escape
DBD Forums: avoids reading that entirely and only views it as a "toxic survivor buff"
Aight guys... you win. Enjoy your circle jerk.
-
@Seraphor said:
Wiggling isn't meant to give you a GOOD shot at escaping, it's meant to force the killer into beelining straight to a hook, instead of carrying you about while they do other things.
It's like the 4% for unhooking. Your goal is to not get caught in the first place, not have a decent chance at fighting back when you are.
Figures... I can't even put two disclaimers without people neglecting them. That's what I get for posting here.
-
Not just you. It says it's already closed despite the notification being new.
-
Same can be said about killers. ######### happens on both sides dude. Maybe you should play both sides to get a better idea.
-
You've got some BALLS posting that in this circle jerking forum. I respect you for that, and agree with everything you just said.
-
Survivors just can't do anything, can they?
We can't live or we're OP. We can't die or we're "ruining the game".
In response to your punishment idea: No. All that'll do is spawn a new way of griefing for killers to camp people more, in hopes they just die "too early" and get punished because a killer camped them.
-
Nice circle jerk post. I see you don't play both sides.
-
The devs finally threw the survivors a bone.
-
People have told me that it's a sign of giving up and surrendering. I guess it makes sense.
When I give up, I just point at a hook.
-
@Mineguy said:
This is really a good idea... Being camped wouldn't be so bad because you get points....
Exactly. You'd actually have a good reason to stay and help your team instead of dying.
-
Wow. So, if survivors run at the killer, they're toxic. But now they can't hide either?
Guess the only option is to run and stand a hooks then.
Survivors apparently have sh!t in the forums.
-
I've been saying this forever... But the guy being camped has ZERO incentive to stick around instead of killing themselves on hook. Give them distraction points or something. That's how you punish camping.
-
@Shaped said:
Why not just use medkits instead of sc and bk?
I will still use ds because I don't want to farmed and rehooked.
I'd agree with you. But lately, it seems like if one person brings in any item (even a map), you get hit with Franklin's. I've straight up stopped bringing in items and offerings because I don't want them to be wasted. If I leave with an item I find, it's a trophy and nothing else.
-
Players shouldn't even have to use a perk to stop them from being camped/tunneled. A perk shouldn't be required for you to avoid being forcefully ejected from the game.
I say change DS entirely and make it basekit. Then give killers 30 seconds of prep time before a match starts and make killer instinct go off on the unhooker each time someone gets unhooked.
Can't wait for the hate mail on this one...
-
A few things...
- Who cares about pips? Honestly. I play for points. Not pips. Always have.
- Make it HARDER to depip? Why?? I rank up as survivor for doing half a gen and getting facecamped. It sucks. Don't do that to me.
- What do ranks have to do with camping/tunneling? It happens at all ranks. Changing how ranking works won't do anything about it.
-
People want "exhausted on the ground simulator" to be nerfed?
-
Or... In a game about killing people and trying to avoid being killed, we can leave sexuality out of it because it doesn't matter.
Leave that "poop" to the fan-fic writers. Let people insert what they want instead.
