Dont make him suffer the stun. He should be able to yank survivors over pallets if he gets them mid animation. For example, snatching a survivor from a pallet normally, he just does it remotely. Harpoon should also damage if the killer harpoon cancels. Just saying

Clown is a good killer. Hes not the worst, that slot is reserved for Pig. He only needs a few bug fixes, and some addons becoming base, but other than that he is golden

Did they make some change I am unaware of? Can you not use DS when in tier 2 madness now or something?
It instantly consumed it but wouldn't give me the prompt to actually use it. This seems really unfair.
Ok. Well, thats definitely a bug. I would report it

I'm not sure why you're under the impression that people care about console killers. Everyones knows Ps4 controller is NOTORIOUSLY bad for fast turns/flicking. Of course you won't see a Billy, Oni, or Nurse on console unless you have XIM.
Your ignorance is laughable, but ok.
Im rank 5 both sides atm on PC, but console is my preferred because I like the community better over there. You dont see m2 Billys at high ranks on PC either.

Chases are not fun with deathslinger. The game is not fun with deathslinger. People like to compare slinger to huntress, but the comparisons aren't warranted.
- There is no wind-up with deathslinger. It's an instant ADS so there is no time for the survivor to react. Huntress makes an audible noise and movement speed is significantly hampered. This makes her deadly out in the open but weak during some loops.
- She needs to charge her hatchet and worry about speed and range. She also doesn't have a site to aim. This makes her more inaccurate. You do not need to worry about range or speed when using slinger. You just auto ADS and shoot.
- Huntress does not have infinite hatchets. She needs to not only reload through grabbing another in her sling, but also needs to refill at a locker. There is no such thing like this when it comes to slinger. He can just chain kills like nothing because the reload time is very short. There is 0 downside in using a weapon during the chase.
He should be moved to 115 movement speed and more penalties should be attached to the use of his weapon. He is a very imbalanced killer. Anyone without potato aim can easily 4k with very little effort. Chases all start to feel the same as there is not much you can do. The penalty of his chain breaking happens very rarely because it's very hard for his chain to break. The only downside to the killer is 110 movement speed which is completely counteracted by his insane reload, range, invincible chain, and huge hit boxes.
Nice bait lmao.

@OtakuFreak said:
Should his harpoon be capable of downing a survivor immediately upon contact if a survivor in the deep wounds state is hit?
Huntress can down survivors with her projectiles regardless of the context, but the deathslinger has to reel them in for a basic attack and even if the chain disconnects (which initially causes a wounded state) the survivors take no damage from it.
I personally dont think he needs that
I think he needs a special animation to hit survivors over pallets.
But thats just my two cents

I just want to say from the start that I really love this killer and I am having a lot of fun with it, one of the best killer they added in a while, and by best I mean fun, but not in effectiveness at winning or applying pressure, i've been playing with him in red ranks (1-3) since it'S release and only played him since, and after 20-30 games with most of them being brutal killer endgame results, I can tell what is wrong with this killer.
- He is slowed down at everything he does, everything he does slows him down, aiming, slow down, shooting and miss, slow down, reload slow down and reeling slow down as well, and of course, the stun when the chain breaks, everything in his kit, slows him down and makes him waste so so so much time, unlike huntress, if you ready up your hatchet and miss, you still have 4 left, you don't waste too much time, you can attack again quickly and down them with it, with this killer, you always need to give a direct hit, so if you shot them and get a hit with your gun, you must always reel them to you and hope you are in the open enough that they won't break the chain and keep running, everything in his kit, is against him in many ways.
- Everything is too slow, his reload is too slow, his movement speed while reloading is too slow, his recovery after a missed shot and his walking speed is too slow, his STUN make him go like 10% speed, there's barely anything in his kit that makes him save time in chases, you need to land every single shot in order to actually win time, if you miss just one shot after a regular hit, you lsot around 1.5 seconds for the recovery, another 2.75 seconds for the reload, maybe 1 second to aim back or could be 20 depends on where they are in the map, and if you shot them again you have to hope there isn't a wall or something that will break the chain, there is too much against him and he lose so much time because of his power that there is nothing he can do to apply any pressure around the map
In a nutshell, he is too slow at everything, absolutely everything, most of the time I get barely 2 hooks with him and 2-3 gens are already done, it'S not normal, i'd understand on trapper or hag who need to prepare in order to use their powers effectively, but it is not the case with him, yes I have my good times and sometimes i get 4 kills with less than 2 gens done, but most of the time i get 2 kills or less with many hooks, and the games are usually short with him.
So i have many ideas on what to do to make him extremely better and simply make him waste less time.
- Make his missing shot recovery and reloading movement speed 110%, if i can keep chasing them even while missing it won't make him feel too useless without his power, if the deathslinger can go regular speed while recovering his missed shot and while reloading, it will keep him closer to survivors it will be easier for him to have a shot on them since they will be closer to him.
- Increase reeling speed by 10% by default, without add-ons, it is extremely slow, most of the time if i shot someone who's 10+ meters away, the chain is always around 60%+ broken, without any walls or else, so if i can reel them a little faster by default it will help a little in the durability and also at wasting less time doing so.
- Decrease the chain breaking speed of these interactions, collision from 20 to 15, it will give me around 1 second extra time to pull the survivor to me if they are at all time behind walls or trees, change the pulling from 15 to 10, if there's nothing in front of the survivor, the chain should never be close to break, so landing my shot at 17-18 meters away should always still guarante a hit, and not MAYBE break when it'S at 90% or so when they are close to hit range, I think everyone who played this killer agree on the fact the chain breaks way too quickly, these changes will make the chain break way less often and be less annoying when you pull them behind a window and they go on the side of it, also the prison chain add-on should increase the charges of the chain by 22.5 charges, so it will be 122.5, which should add 1 second and a half if they are at all times behind walls.
- Make the stun when the chain breaks a whole new animation for the reload, when you get stunned because the chain broke, yes the survivor is now in deep wound but you will never down them with this, and everytime you recover from the stun you need to reload so in total it's a 6.75 seconds stun, that's nearly 10% of a gen done, so it should be increased to 5 seconds instead, but the whole animation is changed so the gun is jammed and the deathslinger is fixing it and also reloads, so instead of a 6.75 seconds stun, it's 5 second, and the addons that decrease the stun duration will save more time maybe 0.5-0.75 second, this will make the chain break stun way less punishing and could be a play style, since there's add-ons for that, and he will be ready to shot once the stun is over.
- Increase the harpoon hitbox, make it be like a huntress hatchet hitbox, i often see my projectile go inside survivors and they don't get hit by it, it happens more often than you think and it is really annoying, so making the hitbox a little bigger will solve this issue a little bit, i know latency also affect the hitbox but making it bigger will be better for the killer, and for the survivors, if you feel like when you got shot behind the wall when the harpoon was 2 meters behind you, you are still behind the wall, so you are mostly safe, unlike huntress, it hits you, it hits you, with him, it's not a comfirmed down, so it won't be that bad.
- Decrease the reload speed and recovery speed after a missed shot, not much to say about that, they are too long.
That is all I have to say in the subject of my personal experiences from the red rank as a killer with red ranks survivors with the Deathslinger
Thanks for reading and see you in the fog
Still fun as hell. Hella good synergy with Monitor and Abuse and STBFL

Myers 1000%. Whenever I load into a lobby and hear the Halloween theme, I know Im gonna have a good time, especially when Im rocking his addons. Seriously, Myers has some of the best killer addons in the game, major props to the team for designing them, especially his Tombstone addons. You'll never pip using them, but hot diggity damn, Michael rebelling against the Entity and killing because he feels like it is genius

I tried pointing this out and I got attacked for most of my replies. All I can say is prepare for war.
I personally think that he has too much going for him to be the "centre of balance" and too much power in one button.
Apologists will also say that you can just 360 him or his chainsaw punishes bad positioning, which is just wrong. It rewards the killer bad play on both sides. Some generators are NOWHERE NEAR window vaults or pallets that you can use to avoid him and there's no 360 you can do against a Hillbilly tapping his chainsaw to be within 1m of a survivor.
There is also zero punishment for missing/colliding with terrain, unlike Nurse, Spirit, technically Freddy (teleporting to the wrong generator) or Bubba. Not even a cooldown until you can use the saw again!
He can also tap his activation to hover the meter, unlike Pig, Doctor, Deathslinger, Nurse, Spirit or Freddy. One you go for it, it's all or nothing.
Oni, who has basically the same ability, has to BUILD UP his power by using his actual weapon and collecting resource.
Now when you play him like a normal killer, as in use his hammer, he's GREAT! Still really strong, but infinetly less frustrating to go against. It also opens you up to more perks, such as Third Seal or Sloppy Butcher.
By all means, use the saw to bait a pallet. If they drop it, eat it. If they don't then you get a saw down. Use it against teabaggers and punish them for toxicity. Bridge the gap against Adrenaline or snipe people. Have some actual SKILL with your saw!
Saw-Billies are on the same level as BT, DH, DS abusers. You are exploiting one particular feature about part of the game for massive benefit. These people are just getting too great a reward, and only loosing out on some Chaser emblem so they can't double-pip as easily.
I don't like Billy because I've versed too many of them, been hit by too many unfair saws, and had too many apologists just tell me to "Git gud" for anyone to justify his current state to me. Because of his player-base. Because of those who think the saw is a weapon and they're godly at the game for it.
Billy is the popular King of the Meta on console and it's time for a coup. Let's dethrone him already and get some variety back in the game.
Uh. I havent seen a Billy in months. Im a rank 3 surv on console, and thanks to matchmaking, I get killers from all ranks (gj BHVR). Hillbilly is not difficult to counter. His chainsaw travels in an easily predictable arc, but again, because this is DBD, you are bound to get hit by some bs every now and then. You do realize that M2 Billys are severely limiting their offense by using the saw? Most high rank Billys mostly use it as means to get around the map, because in most scenarios, guaranteeing a damage state is better than maybe getting an instant down, but Im not that good with Billy soooooo..
Also he has hella punishment for running into objects. Oni doesnt, but he has a long ass swing cooldown. And yes, Billy does have a cooldown on the saw as well. After the saw is used, youll hear a lil engine noise, and that means that you can use it again. During said cooldown, you cant attack AT ALL, you can only move.
No Billy does not need a nerf or "tweaking". But you know what does? Adrenaline, Decisive Strike, Dead Hard, etc.
So TLDR....git gud

I have had way too many games were survivors were slugged and left to be bled out. Sure, not all killers are like that, but the fact that there are killers who try to force survivors to either disconnect, which they cant do without recieving the penalty(so being forced to stay 2 minutes in an unplayable game, which should be bannable for keeping the game hostage, even though its "just 2 minutes" regardless of the fact it can take up to 20 minutes to find a game, meaning you have to spend up to 42 minutes before you can actually play a playable game).
Normally, any action that has little risk shouldnt have a massive reward. Its why camping, even though annoying, doesnt really give that much reward. Doing a pallet drop is a bit riskier, because it can still allow the killer to hit you or you happen to remove a really good late game pallet really early, which will definitely bite you in your ass later on, however, if you happen to pull off the stun, you buy some time that will allow you to probably not need that pallet in the first place and often it would be more efficient for killers to ignore the dropped pallet etc.
Slugging, however, fails to fit any of these catagories. The only risk is the possibility for someone having a certain perk and them crawling away, but any human with ears should be able to easily locate them again as Iron Will doesnt have an effect on the dying state(and Stridor, even though it should be like Iron Will, DOES apply to the dying state), but its another perk that would otherwise be required to make slugging risky.
But ofcourse, it shouldnt be too easy for survivors to do so, my reasoning here would be, that if the downed survivor leaves the killer terror radius, should be able to pick oneself up after a tough skill check(not Overcharge tough, more like Brand New Part tough, especially if Lullaby is applied), and if they happen to miss that skill check, the killer gets a notification and their recovery is reset to 50%. That way, slugging is a bit more risky for the massive reward it otherwise grants. Either that, or at least let 2 downed survivors who are next to each other be able to pick each other up(which would be a lot stronger than being able to pick yourself up with a skill check).
Sure, its a complicated solution which could just as easily be countered with a perk, but as many, MANY killers will tell you, perks or addons shouldnt be required to counter another perk(check the OoO discussion, you'll find a lot of killers basically claiming that). So survivors shouldnt require unbreakable to counter slugging(I guess you could put in no mither there too, but no killer would leave someone with no mither on the floor). And just to repeat, this is only meant to add some risk to slugging. Unbreakable would still be a lot more reliable as you wont require a skill check, hell, I'd say No Mither would still be more reliable. It also shouldnt counter a Haunted Grounds or NOED slugfest as its not meant to basically be a free pick-me-up. Perhaps the way I described it could require a bit more of a downside, perhaps even recieving the broken status for a minute after picking yourself up, all I want is just a slight risk for killers to leave a survivor behind while still heavily patrolling that area to slug the rest.
It should be an ability exclusively for the last survivor. If you are the last surv, AND your comrades are dead, not escaped, you can pick yourself up like No Mither

I’m telling you, the point system doesn’t make anyone feel too good playing survivor. Even if you get gen rushed there’s little points coming in because you didn’t hit the other categories. That’s the determining factor for me. I just want some points. Same goes for the other end of the spectrum dying really fast even though you had all the interaction with the killer and you leave with hardly anything? That’s messed up. Sometimes you don’t have a chance I literally give up. Might as well spawn in and let him take me to the hook. Especially while you’re in a trap 😂 I understand the percentage should be low without a perk but not that low. You might as well not even try. That’s bad game design to prevent me from playing your game. Bad game design to prevent me from being able to traverse or interact with things on the map when I push the correct button to get its effect and nothing happens or I get slammed on the other side. I run through a pallet and I push the button to drop it and nothing happens here comes the killer melee lunging at me to down me in one hit. 😰 How’s that okay? How are the vaults not being addressed? I can’t be the only one experiencing these issues. I don’t want to sit there and stare at a pallet slamming the button over and over to get it to drop. There’s no time for that. It’s not a latency issue either. It’s the game not working as smoothly as it should and screws me over. The fact that I’m across the map and spirit teleported from out of nowhere to get me is quite astonishing. As if speed and melee lunges weren’t enough . Nope they need more
Its ok guys. Hes banned now.

This game has been full of annoyances lately.
First of all you add another killer that's just unfun to play against due to the fact you pretty much have to drop pallets against him and cant play windows, much like freddy/clown which are pretty much the least favorite killers to go against according to the community (the skilled part of it of people with thousands of hours on the game).
Then this game has a solid crashed games ratio of 1:1 which is nothing other than shameful for a game with this much budget and that has been out for this long.
I won't go into other stuff that's subjectively annoying to not make this too long but point is it is frustrating to play lately. Please stop making bad decisions for god sake. Just fix it already it's been long enough.
Crashing is totally on your end. I havent crashed since the Demogorgon was on the PTB. Secondly, the harpoon is stupid easy to dodge, because its hitbox is small. God windows should have a counter. Also, dude, skilled players dont complain about Freddy and Clown because they know how to deal with them. You just need some practice.

I am quite disappointed that Deathslinger didnt get any buffs at all. Still a fun killer, and hoh boy, do you get hella points playing him

Have you ever played survivor and been camped/tunneled? It's the most unfun thing ever.
The only fun part of playing survivor is getting into a chase that lasts a decent amount of time. It's LITERALLY the only fun part of playing survivor. When the person playing killer loses sight of that the game easily takes a nose dive as far as fun.
For solo players who match with a 2 or 3 man SWF, a killer tunneling or camping one of them is very good for you. You can complete gens and cleanse while the killer stands there. Tunnelling sucks, sure, but it does not behoove the killer to tunnel sometimes.

Do you HONESTLY think a business makes money alienating a large portion of their fan base by making all the decisions based on the other halves opinion?
Do you HONESTLY think that if the devs hated killers they'd have: Nerfed Flashlights, Nerfed BNPs, Nerfed Exhaustion, Nerfed Insta-Heals, Nerfed Balance Landing, Nerfed MoM, Nerfed Healing, Buffed Wraith, Buffed Ghostface, Buffed Huntress, Buffed Doctor, Reworked Freddy, Nerfing Toolboxes, Buffing Plague, Buffing Trapper....
And they HATE killer because they Nerfed Nurse, Spirit & Ruin? Give it a rest, the game is in it's easiest position ever in terms of playing killer, it's just bad killers congregate on the forums to all Vote-Up each other and cry about the oppressive survivors.

People give NOED less of a hard time because it's like the only real second chance perk that a killer has in comparison to the survivor side that has DS, unbreakable, dead hard, etc. NOED and all the perks I just listed are really strong and requires no effort from the person using the perks. I don't get mad at a killer who uses NOED because how am I better? Im over here running dead hard which makes up for any bad play I could do during a loop and extend the chase for even longer then it should have been. Maybe when some of these other second chance perks get looked into I would see NOED as a problem but as it is, its fine.

Legion isnt nearly the worst killer. Legion is sitting at mid tier right now imo.

Matchmaking is trash atm, because less Killers are invested in the game. Not me tho, Im gonna stick it out until the servers shut down.

I am a survivor main who has quite a few hours in this game. There was nothing more fun than playing against the nurse. She was extremely dangerous, that’s what made her fun. Now, nobody plays her anymore. Since the nerf, I have only seen two or three nurses. I may be in the minority of survivor mains here, but the whole reason I got into this game to start was because it was difficult and sometimes scary. I am not the player who wants the game to be balanced, the killer should win most of the time. It’s not fun to escape every match in under ten minutes. I hate to say it, but because of all these nerfs, and the survivor-centric approach to the game right now, I am starting to lose interest in playing. Occasionally if it’s a rank 1 or 2 killer, they can provide a more fun time, but I miss playing against the nurse.

Doctor is a low rank stomping machine. and your inability to cope with him really suggests your level of skill.

I mean with that all Coldwind Farm, Mac Millian and Autoheaven Wreckers maps. These maps are the oldest and most unbalanced maps next to Haddonfield and Disturbed Ward. This idea would have many benefits:
- The new map will be played ALOT more so the breakable walls mechanic can be tested more often without inreasing the map spawn rate of the new map (Playing always the same map can be annoying and boring)
- The old maps look really bad honestly and doesnt fit for the usuall game graquics anymore.
- Other new maps can be played more often (Lerys, Sanctum of Wrath, Hawkins etc).
- Having more different map variety (I feel like getting every second game one of these 3 old maps)
- In the future when breakable walls will get added to other maps, they come more often into games aswell
Maybe Haddonfield and Disturbed Ward should be also disabled? What do you think about that?
Hell no. I would quit if I had to play the Yamoka realm again. Forget that. Those 2 maps are garbage. Lerys is awful to play on. The swamp is just ugly as hell. No, even if I get looped, Ill take Autohaven over Sanctum of Wrath any day of the week.

Ill never forget. My first game on PC. I had just bought GhostFace because he was my main on console. Fortunately for me, the SwF group I matched against checked my profile, and saw my low hours. Always remember folks, for every toxic ######### who teabags and flashlight spams, theres always a genuine player, whos in it for fun.

Exactly, it's becoming boring in fact. Devs made it clear that they don't have any intention to do another game mode which it's sad
Even a limited event, like bringing double killers would honestly be amazing.

In another cosmetic maybe 😂 Yep, I'm waiting for the 13th for that reason. Tired of SWF's sitting on gens boring af
Killer players are leaving, and surv players are too, because gameplay is getting stagnant and boring.

You gotta be on their ass after a direct hit, that exposed effect is not long.
