  • Lithe is amazing. Only problem is, Dead Hard. Thats it. Dead Hard can be used anytime, which is why sweaty rank ones use it.

Head on, while fun, is def the worst exhaustion perk

I hope not, we haven't had a male Survivor since Steve or a female Killer since Plague/Demogorgon (I think Demodoggy is a good girl).

That aside, I've seen the first Candyman film. It was boring, the plot left a lot to be desired, and the best part of it, the music, got old after 20 minutes and frustrating after 40.

Also what would Candyman do? Teleport behind Survivors, improbably manage to impale them with his hook, and then blame it on Nea? Apply Deep Wounds with bees?

You have to admit, regardless of how you feel about Candyman, he wouldn't really fit into 'circle the pallet 100 times and get bonked' gameplay loop of DbD.

    Demogorgon is genderless but ok.

Secondly, nobody watches horror movies for the plot, unless it is centered around said plot, (heres looking at the clusterf*** the last Saw movies were).

Candyman had just as many plotholes as Halloween and Friday the 13th, but Candyman himself is iconic for a reason.

However, if hes another deep wounds killer, I will uninstall, and commit seppuku with a breadstick

Keys are not the problem, and they've already seen a nerf. 1 generator remaining is not an issue, it's usually a hopeless alternative, someone has to bring in a key or miraculously find one in the three chests that spawn, and of the three keys you can obtain, only two of them will actually unlock a hatch. 4 health packs, 2 maps, 3 flashlights, 1 broken key, 6 toolboxes, vs 2 keys. That's an 11% chance of finding either two keys, assuming everything has an equal chance of being found(which it doesn't, you have less of a chance of finding a rare item than a common item).

You, the vocal minority, just make it seem like there are a lot of people complaining about keys. Keys are the alternative to moris, except keys don't end the game after a single generator, while moris end the game after a single hook. Keys are also the alternative to poorly spawned doors. If the killer can easily see both doors and reach both doors, even after closing hatch, the survivor should at least get the chance to run to hatch and open it with the key they found/brought in for the save. Otherwise everyone's wasting 3 minutes waiting for the EGC to finish.

If the killer kills everyone else, and beats the last surv to the hatch, the killer earned that kill, hence the hopeful removal of keys

On the flip side, after a single hook, a killer immediately ends the game for someone? Not earned, hence the hopeful removal of Mori offerings

Idk who suggested it, but someone on these forums said that moris should be an alternative to killing someone on their last hook, so the animation can stay, and the brokeness can go

  • ......its beautiful

And deadass, Idiot Sandwich sounds like it could be an actual perk.

Food Critique too, with some tweaking, could be an actual ######### perk.

We just need Gordon Ramsay to sign off on it.

Which admin should we summon to bring this up? Imagine Tony Hawk and Gordon Ramsay teabagging and pallet looping Michael Myers

The servers and game support crossplay between all versions of DBD with the exception of mobile. It's just the devs currently have crossplay turned off for everyone but Steam and Windows Store/PC Xbox Game Pass users. These hackers are enabling that setting within their game to allow them to be matched with console people. They can also hack other people, if they have your IP, and make the game only match you with console users. A streamer was hacked and ended up being only matched with Switch users. The funny thing is he was playing Freddy and on the survivor's end was invisible. As the Switch while having the code for Freddy, lacks the art assets for Freddy

I guarantee we will see an official crossplay announcement at the upcoming Year 4 Anniversary event.

Quite a few hackers on the Switch version. Lots of crossplay icons showing up beside names. BHVR should maybe fix that

  • Map size is the problem. And the bandaid fix would be to simply increase gen time.

Ive heard a suggestion from someone that all generators need to be repaired, and in return, killers need to hook each surv 4 times.

God, what an awful idea, but I had to share it

If you're talking about the very first trailer released, the black woman is actually the first version of Meg.

Oh? Thats a very interesting tidbit indeed. Where did you find it out?

  • I was convinced that Leatherface's tantrum was random and occured sometimes when missing someone

  • That my friend, is a camper and its technically, sportsmanlike and fair.

Sorry to hear that man. Its super annoying to deal with

  • Maybe the Deathgarden cosmetics, since that game flopped so badly. Id like to see a Payday 2 reference dropped somewhere, maybe as a Trapper cosmetic, since theres a Trapper mask available in Payday 2.

Also the survivor in the intro isnt Claudette. I dont think the devs decided on survivor names and designs yet. Intro woman is beta claudette.

Or perhaps Im wrong and @Peanits can correct me

  • @OtakuFreak said:

If survivors are allowed to have a method to leave the game without being punished, then where is the option for killers?

Just open the exit gates bro.

(Too lazy to type in the mocking format)

  • Well, I am quite well, considering the whole world ending virus and all.

I just finished up my last semester in college before all of this went down, so I feel ya on that.

Had to cancel my wedding tho. That sucked. Now we just go in front of a magistrate and just have get married that way. Babe really wanted the whole cheesy Hallmark movie wedding, and the virus stole that from us.

  • I always run self care in solo. In a 4 man SwF squad, we have one person who runs self care and botany who does all the healing

  • Its ironic, because for the most part, Clown has a pretty solid lineup of perks. Adept Clown was really enjoyable to get, unlike the hell that adept killer achievements are to get these days

  • Id love to see solo survivor buffed to SwF and then killers are buffed accordingly

  • I farm occasionally, like, if I see more than one bloody party streamer, you bet your ass Im farming

Usually I message one of the survs

    "Hey, killer here, wanna farm"

    "Sure, Im Dwight"

Play normally and simply ignore Dwight (no teaming here bud) wiping the other 3, (exceptions for swf of course) out of existance, and farm until Dwight escapes

  • Ill just take any extra BP I can get. P3 Deathslinger is a hellauva lot more obtainable now.

Also, side note, there should be one of these every time a new chapter releases. Just sayin

Disagree here. Hes the best stealth killer in the game. Hes a better wraith, with a built in instadown

is this bait? Because that map is trash and every single pallet is useless

Dont think it is. If you dont break the walls, then it is a surv sided map. You break them, and its a killer sided map

  • Old Freddy would be a bit better in todays meta for sure. Better than Clown, thats for sure, but still a bottom 3 character

    Oni's rage

Hags traps but not nearly as bad as trapper. Her traps can be replanted very fast and she doesn't have to go across the map to get them.

Ghostface is a good killer tho

They seem heated simply because people seem to try and just inflame me, rather than being reasonable. Killers on these forums only care about their side, and getting their 4k games, or so they portray. Threads like this encourage using one of the most inflammatory methods of play, and as someone who both is on the receiving end of this tactic constantly as of late, and will NEVER use it, only to get told how "entitled" I am for telling people that they should maybe consider how the other side feels and looks at this topic will make me seem heated because I feel like one of the few voices standing on the other side of the argument, acting as the opposing ideal that needs to be shared and looked at.

I am taking a break from DbD due to overwhelming amounts of work, due to BOTTLE SHOPS somehow being considered an "essential service" in Australia and my own frustrations with the Xbox killer base.

Also, my killer game does speak for itself. I may not have been at red on killer, with my highest being low purple, but I also play a majority of what can be considered weak or non-optimal killers. I play gen-protector, and it either overwhelmingly landslides for a majority of green ranked games, dies horribly due to a SWF Purple squad, or rarely has a decent back and forth, usually resulting in a 3-gen. If I had recording gear for my Xbox, and the time to showcase what I mean and even more time to rank up a bit as killer, then I'd gladly show all of you what I mean.

Correct me if Im wrong, but doesnt Xbox have a built in recording system like the PS4?

I mean, I've had both good and bad experiences with them not doubt but it just seems like all of my bad experiences with them happen when I'm playing Legion. I just find it super strange he can still cause such chaos even after all his changes.

Legion will always be a controversial killer ig

  • Not from your point of view, but you were still camping.

As a killer main, I do not condone your camping playstyle, because it makes surc players cry, and then we get nerfed again

  • As Deathslinger, try to injure a surv before hooking them

  • Lol most TTVs have a problem with everything. I wonder why, its not like having TTV is like a sign saying, "please tunnel and embarass me in front of my viewers" or anything

  • Remove ALL second chance perks on both sides.

You mess up? Too bad bud.

  • Deathslinger needs an ever so small adjustment to addons/movement speed/harpoon hitbox

    Clown

    Trapper

    Nurse (just revert ffs)

    Leatherface

    Hag

My Pig would beg to differ. I play Gen-Protector and I do very well, actually. Surveillance on a Stealth killer is actually really good.

Then again, ALL of my killers would beg to differ.

You find survivors on generators, and you targe them. Done. Pressure applied, and a survivor is off the generator. Now chase them as normal. No tunnelling required.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1176452#Comment_1176452

What second chance perks? You think I run that boring meta trash? I run Self-Care in my builds ffs! The only meta perk I use is DS because of trashy tunnellers, and even then they don't leave you alone.

My numbers may have been an exaggeration, but my point isn't. I CANNOT PLAY the damn game because of tunnellers. It isn't even about fun at this point, it's not being able to do anything to combat unfair external factors, like the Xbox dedicated servers.

Then dont. Every post I see from you is heated. Take a break, and play Animal Crossing. Taking a one week break from DBD worked wonders for me.

  • @Cheers said:

Ok here me out for a moment.

Personally, due to good map pressure, aswell as being able to find survivors easily and slow the game down, as long as you know how to play on tiles, The Legion are one of the best killers in the game.

Now is he better than Freddy, Spirit, Nurse or Hillbilly? Maybe Freddy? But the rest no. For me they're a top five.

They also works amazingly with certain perks (such as blood echo and thanataphobia).

Obviously there will be people who think different, but people say so much bad things about them when in actual fact they're fairly strong.

No. Legion is not top 5. Is Legion a solid killer? Yes. Middle of the pack for sure. Lower B tier if Im being generous

  • Well, tunneling is kind of the only way to even the game out a bit in the current meta with all the gen rushing around.

Once I hit red ranks, usually, the strategy is to tunnel the first guy you find, and narrow it down to a 3v1, and then go from there. That way, you have at least one kill, for the three gens that were done during the chase.

Now, do I like this? Absolutely not. This encourages the use of crutch perks like DS even more. Not to mention perks like Noed.

Theres always been scum who camp because they like it. Now, its the only guaranteed way to get at least one kill in the red rank sweatfest

Which rare add ons are you talking about? The BNP which disappears the moment it has been used? No option to keep it. Unlike killers who can protect all of their add ons

The syringe which uses up your medkit instantly?

    Same with the Styptic agent?

Odd bulb which uses up the battery quicker and battery life isn't very long anyway.

All survivor add ons are time limited in one way or another so they have to be used sparingly. A killer gets to use them for the duration of the entire round.

I see some fairly obvious negatives there. Wipe your killer main spectacles and look properly.

You are close to correct, but, survivors do not have addons that actively hinder their ability to play. Perks? Yes. Addons? No.

Myers has three that lower his overall movement speed for the duration of the match.

Doc has this useless ass one

    Nurse has a few

Wraith has that useless one that keeps Terror Radius while cloaked

Pretty much all of Legions addons limit their effectiveness.

Deathslinger has so many useless addons its not even funny. Both his ultra rares suck, and even his purple addons arent great. Reload speed and cooldown are the only addons that youll ever need to use

I guess the Pig is overpowered, unfun and frustrating to go against even for rank 1 Survivors because she has got crouching, ambush and head traps. TOO MUCH THINGS FOR JUST 1 POWER, this should be nerfed!

I did expect a comment with "tunnel killer" though I didn't really tunnel because they were being downed so quickly. But "slug pig"...

So, If I have momentum which is extremely hard to get in Red ranks especially as Pig with no snowball potential - I should just hook all you and lose it?

We played on farm, Fractured Cowshed - one of the most Survivor favored maps in the game. They were greedy at pallets, picking items in front of my face (franklins demise). They had a key and Brand New Part with commodious toolbox.

My perks were Bloodhound, Franklin, Nemesis and Play With Your Food. No gen defence - only two gens done. But no, I was just not playing nicely for cocky Survivor mains and should eat some #########..

People still do -rep? How sad these individuals must be

Hmm, where's that one guy to clutch his pearls cause you made a coronavirus joke? He should be along shortly to tell you it's "too soon" or something.

Back to your rant, I agree that there is a difference between blatant whining and constructive feedback, and people on the forums should at least attempt some level of decorum. I know the mods do slap people with warnings and bans from time to time, so they are trying to regulate the content.

That said, your rant will do nothing to change this, and DBD's community is no more toxic than league of legends or fortnite, if anything it's probably less so. Online gaming communities will never be what I would call "wholesome" and letting it bother you to this degree is just an exercise in futility.

    TL: DR.

Chill, it's not worth getting that worked up over.

I know its not. But some of these forum posts trigger my gamer rage

  • @Hopesfall said:

eh, they do the opposite of feedback more often than not, so i'm not sure how you got to them listening to us as to not offend..

More often then not, they balance based on player majority. Look at surv bug fixes. They happen immediately. Killer bug fixes? Could take years

The thing about coconut, is his points are extremely killer biased, he complains and crys about the same issues, and doesn't even play enough to be along the same skill levels of those higher rank play. I don't know why they take him so seriously. The only time I really get mad at dbd is when I know I played my best, yet poor matchmaking/unfair glitches made me lose beyond my control. Even if I 1k, if I know I was outskilled, GG WP. You beat me. It happens. Move onto the next match, lets see if I do better.

In this game state, if I get one kill, Im happy

In my opinion I wouldn't touch DS for solos as i think they need it because they aren't that strong. But for SWF teams... the most fair thing will be that they couldn't activate more than 1 DS in the team like it used to be in the past.

Well, Idk how that code would look like to only have DS changed for SWF, but it probably looks messy.

There is actually a perk that does increase your wiggle speed. It is a Kate Denson perk (Boil Over) and it is widely considered one of the most useless perks. I love Kate's abilities and even I do not use that one. Even when fully upgraded to a T3 purple you almost always end up on another hook. And that is on a regular down when the Killer has to actually look around for a hook. When you have a camp/tunnel Killer DS is literally the sole perk that lets you get away from him.

No matter how fast the struggle meter fills it will never be fast enough to stop a Killer from hooking you three meters from a hook.

For people who argue that you can offer up an offering to make the hooks further apart, the difference is literally a few meters. Last I checked I think that added three meters? It still helps far less than you would actually think. And again that does not matter when it comes to a tunneling Killer.

Boil over does not increase wiggling speed, it just increases the side to side movement of a killer while they carrying a wiggling survivor. It also blocks hook auras

  • @Azgarthus said:

I love the Deathslinger. He's not overly strong and he often relies on the survivor to mess up but he remains fun.

I would honestly say that the above all best perk on him is Monitor and Abuse, since the decrease in terror radius helps you get practically right on top of the survivors without them knowing you're there, and then they're already in harpoon range.

A small terror radius also makes Nurses extremely good on him. As you said, it can make for some surprise shots and quick downs since you see their aura and you can sometimes line up a shot before they see you.

Other than those perks I like BBQ for bloodpoints (and the additional info is nice too) and any gen slow down perk (Thanta, Pop, or Corrupt usually)

Rank 1 killer on PS4 (for what it's worth)

    STBFL is amazing on him

  • Yeah. He could use some slight buffs, but the devs NAILED this one. From design to power and map, imo, this update was pretty good.

  • @QuietusWarrior said:

I was playing a game vs the doctor. He hooked steve and camped behind the hook, and he just kept using shock therapy. We tried unhooking him but it won't even go pass a quarter of the meter to unhook steve because of shock therapy. This is basically a guarantee kill!

You can unhook between Shock Therapy blasts. You just didnt time it right. But that is a super scummy way to play Doctor. Sorry about that game from a killer main.

Stupid comment. Even players who are "gud" can have frustrating matches. If anything, they whine even more because they believe it shouldn't happen to them.

Ysee, its probably a response to what (SOME not all) surv players post whenever a killer complains about the stupid amount of second chance perks in the game. Which is "git gud". So for some, its like a taste of their own medicine.

May I add, before you heathens assault me, that generally on these forums, the people I interact with are very pleasant (for the most part). And most of those people are surv mains.

  • @xEa said:

Funny, when a baby killer comes and makes such a post, everybody shows empathy somehow. Nice double standards we have here :D

Topic: No, the game is in a good state. Sure there are some things that have to be changed, but hatch is definitly fine (actually it got buffed compared to the past situation)

About killers: Well, Deathslinger is a pain in the ass, and Nurse + Spirit are still way to strong, but thats about it, i would not nerf any other killer beside those.

Hold on. Let me get this straight. You want Deathslinger to be nerfed. You complain about the unplayable buggy mess that is the Nurse, and you dont even mention Freddy.

  • Facts. I feel the anti tunnelling effect of the perk is nothing. DS is still OP, but its less frustrating than old DS, so its a step in the right direction. I would rework it quite simply. DS increases your wiggle speed, thats it. Done, simple as that

  • This entire post can be summed up into two words.
