  • Different characters are from different timelines. For example huntress and Felix. Huntress is from around the world war times and Felix is closer to modern times. As for universes, I would say so. We have licensed characters so that would make sense.

  • I didn't read the part where someone had stepped in the trap my bad. I am pretty sure survivors in a trap lose collision for a short time. If not then I am clueless.

  • He probably had dead hard and dashed through it, or you misplaced the trap.

Oh my bad, I misinterpreted and thought this was an additional penalty you were suggesting. I think they are fine as are with the downside, there's a reason old crackbilly was nerfed. Double engravings speed + standard charge time would be actually oppressive at any curveable tile for Billy. For Bubba the speed boost is too negligible anyway

Well now the charge time addons kind of suck, so it shouldn't be too bad right? I don't play too much billy, but I think that changing the engravings to this would help him.

  • Flashlights if anything should be fixed, the addons for them are pretty trash unless they make it last longer.

  • @Xpljesus said:

Well Billy's engravings aren't bad atall but suffer from overheat massively, and Bubba's are legit dogshit and actually make him a worse killer - so regardless of this, bad idea, because we do not need to nerf engravings, and IMO I'd actually buff them both (Billy's reduce heat gain, Bubba's increase the speed gain)

I thought this was a buff. Instead of having a longer charge time, they have a longer stun duration if they mess up. Replacing the charge time penalty with a stun penalty would reward you for doing good and punish you even more if you make a mistake.

  • For Billy, his chainsaw is pretty dependent on survivors making a mistake.

Yeah his mobility is great, but if the survivors see him coming then all he could get is a normal m1 hit and it is not that hard to see a man with a chainsaw running towards you. Sure he could pressure survivors off gens easily, but he has trouble following up on that with a hit. Assuming you are against decent to good survivors you will have trouble actually downing them.

Now with a tinkerer build and/or stealth makes him much better because he can actually sneak up on survivors and I understand that this can actually work. Kind of sucks that he should run this most of the time though.

The same could be said for Billy, to be fair. The only time you're likely to have to deal with overheating in normal play is if you're running engravings.

I mean, you are always dealing with overheating regardless of engravings, but they make things even harder. However, they are really fun to use.

Also at least if bubba uses his chainsaw, he can threaten multiple survivors instead of just one.

I can understand. In my opinion Meta-builds are just boring. DS, Sprint burst, Autodidact & Bond is my main build because I can play with it best. I only play solo, that's why DS. Otherwise I would exchange DS with something else (kindred perhaps). Kindred is a very helpful perk in many cases!

Yeah a build I love using for 115% killers that isn't meta (that somehow works a lot of the time) includes: Agitation, Iron grasp, mad grit, and something like hangman's trick. Funny to see it in action.

Cannibal does have a holding chainsaw too long (overheat) mechanic.

Yeah, but when does it actually affect your gameplay unless you plan on camping? Even then, it is easily avoidable.

  • Out of all these killers, I feel like Oni would do the best. Since they are competitive, they wouldn't heal meaning the Oni would have his power frequently. They will definitely be good in a chase so your power might not actually do much. However, when you have your power, you gain mobility which is huge.

Everyone else seems kind of meh except maybe legion and plague since they can keep survivors injured. But again, they are all competitive survivors so they wouldn't even need to heal and spread out on gens, making it really hard to infect them.

  • Revert his changes, at least to his movement. I don't really see a need for the overheat mechanic, bubba doesn't have it so why does billy?

  • If you see 2 or more flashlights, you can safely assume that they will just hand you the victory. Just make sure you look at a wall when picking survivors up. Every time I see this in my lobby, I just play normally because I know they are going to try and get sick flashlight saves.

  • @DezzyTV said:

My main perk-build is: Decisive Strike, Sprint burst, Autodidact & Bond (sometimes self-care or adrenaline, but mostly bond). So... what's your main perk-build as a survivor? I know it's random, but I'm interested to see what you guys are playing with! ^^

Anything with kindred since I don't really use meta perks all-round and I play solo queue. Maybe Adrenaline or DS but never really both.

I've seen people like this long long ago. Unlucky.

Funny thing if you didn't show bm back, Dwight would not misunderstand situation. You can't beat toxicity with toxicity.

Yeah I thought about that afterwards. I shouldn't have done that but I just wanted her to realize what she was doing and how it sucked.

  • Well, I'd say I survive like 70-80% of the time, if only my team did gens while I looped the killer for 6 gens. Not even joking it is ridiculous how bad "rank 1" survivors are some of the time lol.

  • It is really good on hag btw because he can use it to pull survivors deeper into your web of traps. I recommend it if you are experienced with hag.

  • The most basic and probably the most important tip:

Use the first blink to get close to survivors and the second to go for a hit.

  • @Syfik said:

Yeah, I waited 5 minutes in a queue, got disconnected from the queue because it used to kick you if you queued too long. Finally got into a match with friends. Got face camped by a trapper and uninstalled the game. Then i came back three years later.

    Welcome back, billy sucks now

  • I felt that honestly. I think that there will be a new mmr sometime soon. Hopefully next patch.

  • Make sure when you use his power, you actually know where you are going.

At the start you want to get a hit on one person as fast as you can. If they are good and heading to a strong loop, it is best to leave them and find someone else. You need to get the initial hits on them.

When dashing, don't hold down W. This will actually slow you down.

Also, use infectious on him. It is very good especially on oni.

  • Are you saying that they weren't already potatoes? lol

  • Adjusting the speed and making it work only on basic attacks would be nice.

  • @Mastermind said:

NOED gets activated once an exit is opened.

Survivors already 99 gates instead of triggering them to avoid this. If you have a DS ready and get downed near a gate (Realistically pretty far from an open gate is fine.), you start crawling there and the killer can do absolute jack about you because he has to wait 60 seconds for you to lose DS, by that time you'd crawl out 5 times or pick you up, eat a DS and lose anyway.

Apart from that, the exit is open. So get the heck out if you don't want to deal with NOED. Endgame is already heavily skewed towards survivors.

Actually, NOED is activated once the exit gates are powered, not opened.

That is exactly what I am saying. Spirit takes zero skill or ability to play. Exactly like Freddy. Zero investment, every reward.

Have you even played spirit? She definitely takes skill to play, her problem is that she just doesn't give enough info to survivors when she is phasing.

  • @CustomerService said:

He is indeed OP. Takes no skill whatsoever, it’s an M1 killer who can teleport, slow down, mind game with fake pallets, hinder survivors speed in several ways, and it’s basically the same as Spirit in the sense that you invest 0 and get 100 as return.

"Basically the same as spirit in the sense that you invest 0 and get 100 as return" Are you saying that spirit takes no skill to play?

Also, he is still counter able, just throw down pallets early when in a chase while asleep.

Ok, if I bring in a pink mori and mori people on third hook, they still DC before the game starts and I have to wait another 15 minutes for a match...

And now, with my main (Trapper), I thought about bringging Devour Hope with my build. Well. people DC as soon as they see they can't break my Hex and they're getting moried...

Nothing ever satisfies survivors... It doesn't matter if I don't camp nor tunnel or if I do mori instead of third hook...

Who cares what they think? Kill anyone in anyway you want, and laugh at those who get mad.

  • After taking 3 normal hits from the killer, you would gain the endurance status effect when you are injured. So everyone and their mother was running a 3 heal med kit and having the ability to take 3 hits. After taking a hit with MoM activated, healing back to healthy would reveal your aura when further than 16 meters from the killer at tier 3. It would go away once you are downed though. Still, old MoM was OP.

Now it works the same, but you need to take 3 protection hits. And we all know how "easy" it is to get protection hits.

  • There was probably some issues with that because of licensing issues, but I have absolutely no idea why.

2 years ago, my first match as survivor. I was David, at the time I thought he looked cool and when I saw No Mither, I thought, oh ok, free revives. Yeah, my baby survivor self was in for a shock. I spawned in injured and realised THAT's what Broken meant. So I was like, ok, sure, I can do this. I like a challenge. Trying to do a gen, and old ruin was there and I kept regressing the gen. My teammates hated me even more for the No Mither and crappy skillchecks. Killer was Myer's and I didn't realise he stalked you to get his power at the time, so I was watching him wondering why he was just staring at me and wasn't trying to attack me. He did this to T3 and ended up insta-killing the team in his infinite T3. I was not liked after this match.

First match as Killer I decided to play as Wraith because he could be invisible. I assumed they couldn't see me at all, so I was thinking I could just stand right beside them and hit them. Tie this into the Add-On that negates the Undetectable while cloaked and off I go. So I head into a match and everytime I got closer to a gen, they ran like crazy. I didn't understand it. I assumed I was invisible, but I didn't realise they actually heard my TR, since I didn't fully understand what the TR was all about. I still managed to get a kill, and someone was nice enough after the match to explain why they knew I was coming.

lol, this is quality noob material

My first game ever I played as Trapper while my bf was watching. I had a 2k so far, the two who were dead were SPAMMING me messages, when I was in a chase with one of the last two survivors my game crashed. They proceeded to spam me for 20-30 minutes saying I rage quit 😃 #########. Haven’t gotten a toxic group like that ever again

It only gets worse lol, people are incredibly toxic in this game as well as entitled.

  • @JesseJH28 said:

As survivor, I was a useless Dwight who died on MacMillan Estate. As killer, I was a proxy-camping trapper who got a 4k on Haddonfield

"TRASh KillER HAs To cAMp To WiN" - toxic legacy dwight, probably

  • @DoritoHead said:

    oh, all too much.

I played Nurse, because I heard she was the best killer in the game. The map was Rotten Fields if I remember correctly.

I spent all 5 gens (about 2.5 minutes) chasing this one survivor around a harvester. I think it could've been a Bill or a Nea, maybe an Adam.

    I never again touched Nurse.

Best thing for new nurse players to learn is to use the first blink to get close to the survivors, and the second one to go for a hit. This is the most important thing for newer nurse players to learn.

  • @OldHunterLight said:

I remember my first match, about 2.5 years ago? A little bit less, I got what people call now bullied, old MoM, insta heals, 3 red ranks and 1 brown rank against a baby trapper (me), I did quit dbd for a little bit until I heard that ruin was great to stop that, then I mained hag for a very long time.

Old MoM was hell, I strictly played nurse and huntress most of the time during its reign.

  • I know it is convenient to be able to heal without a med kit any time you want, but it takes a very long time to heal with it. At least bring resilience and botonny knowledge if you are going to use it. If you are a newer player, it might seem tempting and a very good perk, but it wastes so much precious time.

I personally find him enjoyable to go against as he changes he you normally have to loop and it's more than just holding w in my opinion it's just more interesting then going against most other killers

It is different for other people though, so I can understand that.

  • Play The Doctor with this build:

Beast of prey (yes, this behemoth of a perk trust me)

    BBQ and chili (obviously)

    STBFL

    infectious fright

    Offerings: BPS or survivor pudding

You can use any addons you want on this one.

  • That would be fitting and really cool with mother's dwelling

  • People don't like him because they force him to play stealthy, which is boring for many people. And no, not everyone who dislikes him sucks at the game btw.

  • wat? Git gud I guess?

  • I deal with this bug regularly on both sides. Luckily, it doesn't affect gameplay to much. However it is still around and needs to be fixed. Same for footsteps.

  • @Clevite said:

Yes yes yes, a 100% yes.

Mori nerfs? You mean BHVR is about to balance their game? lol

  • @corrupted1 said:

DS is fine as is it doesn't need a Nerf again or a buff😖. People just need to stop complaining about DS and play better it's not that hard just eat DS early or just down them for a bit then grab them.

It needs a nerf. You can play very well and still get hit by DS. I have lost count of how many times I have hooked 2 other people and still got hit by DS by the first person with DS, but I guess I just need to play better.

  • Not sure, also make sure you post this on the discussions so people will get to read this.

Each chase perk offers a unique benefit. Each will potentially give you a hit where the others wouldn’t have.

Whenever I use Brutal Strength I feel it and I remember a few times where I was just close enough to get a hit in before they reached a pallet or window. It helps and it’s pretty consistent too.

Alright I see what you mean. I will probably only use this on doctor, clown, and wraith since I think they would get the most value out of it.

  • @RaSavage42 said:

I think Brutal Strength could use another effect... like bonus regression on gens... breaking pallets with one kick

One kicking pallets seems a bit too strong.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

According to the wiki, breaking pallets takes 2.6 seconds. So, with Brutal Strength, that becomes 2.1666 seconds. Let's imagine a survivor drops a safe pallet you need to break and holds W away. In the .4333 more seconds you would take breaking the pallet, the survivor would move an additional 1.7333m away from the killer. 115% movement speed killers move at 4.6 m/s and survivors move at 4 m/s, so killers gain .6m/s of distance on the survivor. Therefore, running Brutal Strength allows you to catch the survivor almost 3 seconds faster after breaking the pallet.

I do think it's a useful perk and fairly well balanced. Especially as the game goes on and dead zones start appearing those 3 seconds can be the difference between getting a down and the survivor making it to the next loop.

Good to know. So brutal strength is a good perk, but there are just better perks out there.
