What could be better? Im all for constrictive criticism
I think it should really fit for the nurse, I feel that if you just heard the menu music, you probably couldn't tell who the killer is. I feel that you should be able to tell immediately who it is, for example doctor. DBD soundtracks are pretty in-depth and mystical in a way while fitting the killer and still sounding like DBD (Not being demanding at all though even though it might sound like it, I'm sure making this music is difficult).
Look at the Nurses power for example, it is really hard to explain but she could use a "windy" sort of background music and be just a little bit more intense almost like the wind blowing. What I do like however is towards the end, the sort of low hum-buzz (deep violin?) noise you currently have comes to a sudden stop could represent the nurse catching your breath with a better instrument. Whatever you use though is totally up to you, but I really think that people should be able to tell that the menu music is for the nurse just by listening. And of course, don't forget to add in the main DBD theme noise (which you already did). I also like that main instrument whatever it is that plays at 2:08 and you could definitely do more with it.
The music should be almost like another identity for the killer, and still sounding like it would come from DBD which you have already done, but need to expand upon by making it more subtle and in conjunction or harmony in a way.
I think you could use mr envy's custom chase music for nurse as a reference or others. Just by hearing the chase music, you can tell it is the nurse especially because of the wind and overall feeling. Remember that it is just menu music though, but it should give you a "feel" to the killer. The clown's menu music and new chase music is perfect and you could also use that as a reference as well.
Remember, it has to sound like DBD AND the killer, like a second identity (and don't make it too intense, more like despair). Again, I am not being rude or demanding, but just offering some advice and suggestions. lol I hope I didn't overwhelm you, I myself would probably enjoy making custom soundtracks for the game.
PS: at 0:44 that high and then low noise from whatever that is should work right after the falling action of the music in the start, middle, and end.

Try using legion with the button that makes survivors broken for a minute.

I like it, but it could be much better.

Now, not so much. The game has to evolve at some point.
I hope so

Play nurse, p head, spirit, or hag.

The absolute best advice for Nurse players is this: Use the first blink to get close to a survivor and the second to go in for a hit.
Afterwards, you then want to master your muscle memory with her.

It’s too bad you didn’t make this a few months ago, the devs have already decided to gut him next.
Pfft, doubtful. The almighty devs trust their "big data" and my post would do nothing to stop that. I am going to miss Freddy being strong :(
-
Unfortunately, you can't stop your teammates from killing you (it even happens to people with thousands of hours playing at rank 1). But you can increase your specific skill. To be a good survivor, you must become skilled in two things. Your efficiency (on everything), and maximizing distance as much as possible when in a chase.
Is someone on a hook while you are on the polar opposite of the map? Keep doing a gen. Is the killer off in the distance and not chasing you? Just find a generator. The problem with a lot of new players keeps hiding when the killer is not on them. It can be a bit nerve-wracking, but I promise the killer will most likely not even notice you. Don't be this person.
When playing solo, run kindred. Always, it is literally a godsend of a perk because it gives you information you need when you need it. It is a free perk that any survivor can get, please run this perk at all times when in solo queue.
To increase your survivability and usefulness in a chase, I recommend learning how to loop and juke as a survivor. Watch Cru5h explain how to do so, he has other videos for different maps as well. I implore you to watch a few videos on DBD, same for the killers). As for streamers to watch, I recommend Otzdarva for sure, just watch his videos and streams while listening to what he says.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtUa0F6FUss&ab_channel=Cru5h https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arpn_UDIm4Y&ab_channel=Cru5hPS: Don't get scared away from playing killer, and if you want to play this game frequently then get BBQ and chilli (BBQ) for your killers to get more points faster and we're gonna live forever (WGLF) from the survivor (free survivor, you have him) if you want to get more bloodpoints.
-
I only have 8 cool toolboxes on only one of my survivors :(
about 35 envelopes on each character I play tho...
-
Only once, when someone blamed me for doing stereotypical claudette things... when it was another claudette lmao

You forgot to kill the 5th survivor in that match, that is how you get the adept achievements.

If you lack imagination yes I could see how he would not work.
The devs would have to create loads of unique ways for him to work like all the other killers in every aspect, I doubt they would put in the effort to do this.

Many, many, MANY, MANY MANY things also cancel bloodlust or prevent you from building bloodlust.
Most of them are killer abilities though.
Examples: Doctor's shock. Clown bottles. (annoying clown bottles also use up Play With Your Food stacks when they didn't before.) Placing snares as Freddy. I think Legion in Frenzy mode can't get bloodlust. Plague's vomit. Myers in EW1. Huntress throwing a hatchet. Deathslinger aiming. Pyramid Head's trails. 99% of them also cancel bloodlust even if they miss.
lol didn't know that, I thought they didn't change bloodlust at all

Not sure about bbq as you usually cage when survivors are close and devour is already cleansed pretty quick.
Usually, but it would be very easy to use cages and get stacks really fast and even without undying you would probably get a lot of stacks before it is cleansed.
-
I disagree, if he tunnels a survivor off cage and hooks them again, it is most likely because a teammate made a poorly timed rescue. What you need to do is save a caged survivor when you know the killer is far enough away so that if he chooses to tunnel, it will not benefit him all that much.
If he was allowed to use hooking perks as well as survivors, it would take away some of his uniqueness and make devour hope incredibly strong on him. Same thing for BBQ.
-
I still think this one is just far better, simple, and clean while still giving everyone the info they need. This should work for both sides.
-
It happens when you are stunned, lose a chase, and hit a survivor.
If it happens at any other time, report it as a bug.
-
It is actually better than his other two. It can get you some pretty nasty hits to survivors on a generator with your POTD attack.
-
Still not as good as the original or all the easily fan made ones

Tbh I think the haste & 15 seconds is overkill.
Distortion no scratch marks is 10 secs, Babysitter no scratch marks is 8 secs.
If you're leaving no scratch marks or blood stain then it should probably be in that range.
A haste on top of that just seems extra. Just imo.
What about reducing the numbers to 10?

i would make it so if you heal someone from dying to injured or from injured to healthy you and the survivor you healed see the killers aura for 7 secs.

I'd just give it the BT effect. Sure, we already have Soul Guard. But this would be applied to your teammates, rather than yourself.
This could be too abusable for SWF groups or just survivors in general especially because of WGLF.

These perks can be easily abused with WGLF, unbreakable, mettle of man, and oak offerings.

I have the idea of granting the survivor who is in the dying state a +150% movement speed during 3 seconds when you heal him back to the injured state.

Honestly I feel the coils he has right now are good enough. My issue is I hardly get to use them because 1 of my 2 slots for add ons is always a bag. It would be nice if he could carry 2 traps be default.
I disagree with the first statement, they are pretty weak in general. The point of the buffs is to make survivors disarm them slower and if they disarm a trap across the map, you will be shown where they're at.
-
@Pokino said:
I know trapper needs some adjustments but sincerely I think most people don't realize certains ideas would destroy the sense behind the killer, and would make the killer unfun to play against.
If trapper had all traps in hands, or all traps in a pool in the middle of the map for example, this would destroy the strategic sense of this killer, and would promote to trap one single area of the map with 7 traps, and becoming the game unplayable. Is it worth to walk to pick up that trap? or not? That is the game sense behinf trapper, the strategic style that this killer have, and i'm very agree with that.
BUT, this doesn't mean trapper is in a good state, in fact, it needs some buffs... but some bufs that provides TIME to elaborate an strategy, without destroying the game itself... 2 traps without addons is ok, deep wounds if survs escape by themselves is ok... but please, think ways not only to improve the killer, but also to improve the game itself.
Sorry for my language, not native speaker.
I see what you mean. I myself do not think that giving Trapper all of his traps is a good idea. I think the same thing for pooling all of his traps together, I just want the RNG of where they spawn improved just a little bit. With these buffs, I very much think that Trapper will keep his level of strategy and just be more effective.
-
@CyperX said:
- The Trapper now can hold 2 traps at base (starts with one)
- Injured survivors who escape a trap by themselves should be downed (Idea by Otzdarva)
I like these ideas , also there should be a bleed out so if they escape from a trap and don't heal under a certain amount of time, they will scream and go down to dying state

I like it! I other words, everyone who escapes a trap should have a Deep Wound timer. Makes sense to me!
I like that idea as well. It is just a deep wound timer, meaning it only 12 seconds to get rid of this so it is not a really long time. So if a survivor steps on a trap and is healthy, they are stalled for a short time.
-

Those feel like effects that should be tied to add ons tbh.
Traps downing injured players and inflicting deep wounds on healthy survivors feels like way too excessive.
I like a LOT of these ideas and think Trapper absolutely needs some love but at the same time I think we need to calm down with saying his power is "weak" because it most certainly is not in the right scenarios.
Also yes please, Dead Hard should have never been able to let people dash over bear traps I'm really hoping they implement this eventually because it just makes no sense at all.
They could be, but I think it would do just fine working as base kit. Remember, traps would only down an already injured player and can be completely avoided if a teammate rescues them.
It would make Trapper much more consistent on the bigger maps and make survivors think about healing much more against a Trapper as otz said in his video for buffs and changes to all killers. I fully agree with him.
-
@Ghoste said:
I like all of these ideas except 12 seconds to escape a trap. I agree escaping on first attempt is dumb, but maybe 7-8 seconds would be more reasonable. It's enough time to get to any nearby trap, but traps in the distance should be less lethal, like how Hag can't teleport to traps that are too far away.
Yeah, I was unsure on how long the set time should be 8 seconds still seems just a bit short though. Most of the time survivors step on your trap even on a closer trap to you, it still takes you about 6-10 is seconds (roughly, it depends on the map). Maybe it could be 8-10 and have addons that increase it.
But yeah, I really like the ideas above. Imagine if an injured survivor steps on a trap far away, they will have to choose whether or not they should escape or wait for a teammate to come rescue them. The trapper could go over and try to get a hook, and if not then he is not as severely punished for them getting away (they would step on a good trap, and have very little punishment for it).

I read a few words and skipped to the PS's. I guess you got mad because you didn't actually think i would leave a reply but i mean you walked right into that one. You literally asked for it so i don't know how you can get mad at that lol.
Anyway i also saw something bolded about #NotAllCandymanHaters and yeah that's fine i agree because this is just a copy pasted list basically thats why i didnt read, most these people didnt read it they skimmed to the names and then, see let me not even say it lol.
I think i saw something about pretentious horror fans and im not saying your opinion as a player doesn't matter because you're not a horror fan im saying a 2k should cater to people who like basketball right. You dont have to like watching basketball to enjoy the game. But it would be dumb for them to argue things about the game only thinking of the gameplay. But in dbd, one of the most amazing tributes to slashers and horror icons, people who don't know what movie Micheal Myers probably shouldn't be the audience you cater too. This kind of morphed into complaining about how the devs cater to the non horror fan base when this really was supposed to be explaining to you....what that fan base is? Idk moral of the story horror. HORROR. Slasher. Spooky. Thats what the game should be. Thats why the game needs Chucky, Candyman, A Fnaf rep and probably whoever else you named. From Shaggy to Jason to Freddy fazbear to the alien, it all belongs in dbd. The only horror creepy spooky icon that doesn't belong is jeepers creepers ######### that
I am not even mad in the slightest, but alright man. You probably should have read through this before calling us all racists which still wouldn't have made sense.
What I got from this was that I don't know what a fan base is and that all of the characters I said wouldn't fit should be in DBD because they represent horror.
I don't think this morphed into complaining about how the dev cater to the non-horror fan base since I was merely sharing my opinion.
-
Yeah, I have always played both sides and I am disappointed to know that people are usually one or the other. As others have said, it allows you to see the problems both sides have to deal with and understand them. You are also missing out on a huge fun (yes, fun) experience and half of the game you spent 20+ dollars on.

I mean all of them could fit. Re8 lady is... we don't know who she is, the game isn't out yet so don't judge,
Chucky could with the existance of the twins
Springtrap could for he is a serial killer and is able to pick up people and hook them
Candyman defeintly could, he is a slasher, and the very first African Slasher in the history of horror
Knowing how things went in the other RE games, I think she will be an awesome villain. However, think about it. We have an 8ft tall killer, 8ft. You could definitely see her while looping her around a tile and just run the other way and if she comes close, then drop a big piece of wood on her. It would probably make her seem MUCH less cooler or (I can't seem to find the word for this) scary like the demogorgon.
I should have explained more, but I don't think Chucky could work because how would his chasing work? Would he lunge at you? How accurate would the hits be? Victor's hits are already pretty wacky, just imagine a killer who had hits that looked worse than Freddy's all the time. How would he hook you, vault, break pallets gens and walls, what about his terror radius, and a bunch of other questions that are about how would he work like the other killers? It would also require tons of time trying to find out how his power would work. Besides, seeing a doll run at you in DBD seems more funny than horrifying.
No one knows how Springtrap's power works, we just know that he is a dead guy that somehow possessed an animatronic that is falling apart and would break if you tried stunning him with a pallet.
As I said, I am unsure of Candyman and I feel that he has a chance but for now, I don't see him fitting in with the rest of the cast.

"I dont know anything about candyman except for what he looks like but he doesn't belong in dbd."
And what was the reason? Oh right you think he's boring.....even though you dont know anything about him. Kind of seems like"he doesn't belong" is a pretty strong reaction to that?
But anyway of course you're a horror fan. I mean what horror fan would want icons like Candyman chucky or ANYTHING from resident evil right? Im not sure why you tried to contest that because what did you expect to say? Most players aren't horror fans but im glad you got defensive because that does suck
Actually, what I said was "I don't know much about him so I could be wrong, but looking at the movies from the outside he already seems underwhelming. He is like a version of that bloody mary creepypasta.". But you are twisting my words to make it seem like I am being racist (because remember, I am a "racist a**hole" just like all the other people here, not just me in your eyes right?) since you specifically said the line "...except for what he looks like..." and "he doesnt belong". And before you say something like "that is basically what you said in other words", no it is not. It is not what I meant in the slightest.
I literally only watched a few clips and the trailer for the movie before I said this. That is why I said "I don't know much about him so I could be wrong, but looking at the movies from the outside he already seems underwhelming." because I DON'T know if he is good for fitting in with DBD or not. I did not even say he was boring, I only said he looks underwhelming and that he is one of the few other characters I don't see being in DBD.
I'm confused, you said in your last comment that "...like yeah we know you racist a-holes don't like horror" but then in this comment, you are speaking as if I objected to not liking horror which is not true btw. I do enjoy the RE franchise and while I am not a crazy hardcore fan who is just in love with the game, but I do like it and I do like the genre of horror. I am literally playing Dead by Daylight, a horror game. You also said that I tried to "contest" something, but what did I contest? I only responded to you saying that if you think posts like these are "cringe" then don't look at them, that I am expressing my opinion on the topic, and politely asked you to explain to us how we are "racist a-holes" which you still didn't do lol.
So, I politely ask you again. How does me talking about how I don't think that Candyman (along with other horror characters) would fit in DBD make all of us who agree "racist a-holes"?.
PS: From what I can tell, you think that people who aren't "true horror fans" are racist. Please write with more clarity.
PSS: Like I said, if seeing posts like these upsets you, then just don't look at them so we all don't have to deal with this.
