"We are adding a leaderboard for the top ranking."
They were?? Where's it gone?!
and then they talk about the PTB
"We hope to push a much better version of the game to the public and catch issues before they go to the public."
4.4.0 and 4.5.0:
Literally one of the most frustrating things to hear.

How did you not notice lol?
I remember how excited i was when i saw that announcement, thinking how good this game will get now that they are free frol Starbreeze.
Still waiting for optimization :)
"This is why we decided to improve our onboarding system with a whole new tutorial section to the game."
I laughed when I heard that, the tutorial needs work to say the least.

These cringe posts are basically copy and paste, they're worthless no one cares you have no creativity imagination or interest in horror
BUT in addition to the "chucky too short! Fnaf cringe!" People started throwing in candyman. And again being copy and pasted replies they all include "well i never watched the movies" like yeah we know you racist ######### dont like horror. So many people dead ass say "i know nothing about this character but i hate him" like, and i will gladly take whatever the mods throw at me for this, yall can suck my whole dick lol.
If you think these posts are cringe then don't look at it, it's that easy. Never said I hated any of these characters, I am just saying that I don't think they would fit in the game. I specifically said that I am just expressing my opinion.
But please do explain how we are "racist a**holes" who don't like horror. I will wait on your well-written response.
-
In a very respectful way, I don't think this would work and it doesn't fit in with DBD.
-
Yeah, his tombstones are pretty busted. However, you aren't helpless against this. If you jump in a locker, or repair a generator he cannot kill you. You will still be hooked, but not instantly killed.
-
He is just cool and awesome to play. If you know what you are doing, survivors can't bully you.

Ik, it is a bit disappointing

I think you forgot the /s buddy
-
It all really depends on what you like.
I chose p head for you because he is a top-tier killer who is fun to play as.
Demo is also fun, but just weak.
-
I am working on it, so far I have Trapper, Wraith, Nurse, Huntress, Myers, Doctor, Freddy, Pig, Clown, Spirit, Demo, Oni, and Pyramid head all at max prestige and level. I am currently working on Billy, then Hag, then Bubba, and so on. Very difficult though, and I am not sure if I want to do the same to all of my survivors.

That was a pyramid head? I thought it was doctor.
It was, you just have to watch it further. He glitches all over the place, but there are parts where he shows himself. Although I forgot about blocking out the cheater's name, and I don't know how.
-
@Mooks said:
Remember the no naming&shaming rule of the forum, so black out the cheaters names..
Frick, sorry about that I totally forgot. I just don't know how to block it out.
-
I like going for kills most of the time unless I am going for points. It is just fun and satisfying for me.
-
@dspaceman20 said:
What's going on? I'm getting a headache just watching.
I don't even know. The Pyramid head was running around at mach 5 with insta hitting cheats and somehow spammed the doctor's madness effects with the iri queen addon. He could also kill us without even using the hooks at all immediately.

@[Deleted User] said:
Actually, why don't they just make the tall lady bend a bit to get through the doors like she does in the maiden demo? And like tyrant does so in resident evil 2 remake?
It's very much doable. And for looping, just give them powers that ignore loops, easy.
The entitled survivor community would like to have a word with you.

Someone is scared of the leaks being FNAF, huh? heheh
But opinions aside the theme of DBD is MADE (I repeat MADE, meaning its INTENDED) to house any killer/ any different type of killer.
Anything that BHVR can come up with to fit the style of this game can be in it.
But it ruins the actual intimidating part of a good one. As I mentioned above, take demogorgon for example. Sure, he is a killer in DBD and can kill survivors the way all the others can, but he would be MUCH less intimidating because of how it works. In stranger things, it was a force to be reckoned with. Now, he can be stopped by a pallet and slowed down by windows. Also, HE CAN BE BLINDED.

@RiskyKara said:
I want jump scares added. I consider fnaf the lowest tier of pop horror because there's nothing genuinely scary, it's just jump scares so people can watch their favorite streamers get startled. Low effort as heck.
I still can't tell if you want jump scares added or not because of how you wrote this.
-
This doesn't fit. Fnaf is a game made to be scary in the horror aspect sure, but it is mainly startling or "scary" because of the cheap jumpscares. We also don't know anything about how it all works in the slightest, we just know that it is an animatronic possessed by a dead guy.
-
All of the weak ones.
-
We shouldn't balance the game around inexperienced players.
-
Only if they are masochistic
-
I had a really rough game as Freddy just last night because of this. Either I was playing really bad, or the survivors were using cheats. Even with my snares, it seemed like they were just faster. They made the longest transition to a far tile and I didn't even get a hit WITH my snares.
Either that or holding m1 is much more powerful than I previously thought.
-
@QwQw said:
They'll probably just give him some stupid cooldown or slowdown.
"Freddy now works on a charge system cooldown, similar to Billy"
-
@Zozzy said:
You ever notice how slow survivors are at the lower ranks?
You ever imitate something you see survivors do against you and still reach that next pallet, but you don't even get close to it?
there are plenty of people cheating in this game.
insert BuT I HAvEn't sEEn a HaCkeR in 400 HoURs comment...
Recently i have started to notice survivors healing more than they should with med kits when the most they should do is 2 or at a stretch 3 heals before being depleted.
Pretty sure that it is because the good survivors hold W in a straight line when leaving to another tile, it works very well.

Well they brought back 360’s which screws over new killer players.....oh wait nobody cares about those players am I right? They’re lesser people right?
360s aren't even a problem for most newer players, it might work once or even twice but then they will just wait.
-
Pyramid head is an absolute unit when playing him correctly.
I would then recommend plague since she is underrated and stronger than most people think. People also are a bit clueless as to how to play against her.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
New Ruin somehow manages to be both inferior as a perk and yet so much worse to play against imo
Nothing like getting a gen 80% complete, being chased away and then coming back to realize its regressed to nothing and you have to hold M1 all over again. Bring back old Ruin.
Bringing back old ruin would screw over newer survivor players.

It's Survs and Killers
...I thought the gif was just repeating for survivors only...
-
The new UI is still bad, I think it is time for BHVR to do things right.
-
I honestly have no problem with everything except for maybe the endgame build if any. Even then, the endgame build seems pretty fair since the killer is dedicating their entire build to the endgame.
-
What about the killers?

@EvanSnowWolf said:
Pop Goes The Weasel lets you gen kick for instant progress loss.
Blood Echo makes injured survivors bleed harder.
Blood Warden closes the exit gates.
Dead Man's Switch stops generators.
Hooking powers Devour Hope.
Hooking powers the Lullaby.
Blood echo has a cooldown and only works if multiple survivors are injured which can be very hard to achieve.
Bloodwarden is very situational and is not guaranteed to work most of the time during the end game.
DMS's regression is usually less than 45 seconds and it only works if you hook the obsession, not anyone else.
Devour and lullaby die within the first 30 seconds of the match and require at least 3 hooks to become decent, you will most likely lose it before you can get good use out of it.
-
Yeah, I know that coding, in general, is pretty messy and complex, but it really seems like open-handed could just be fixed by going into the game's code and replacing a number with a different number. Also, I am pretty sure the devs said they would buff the perk in the next big patch.
-
Kindred with anything
WMI, WGLF, kindred, aftercare
WMI, PT, BT, kindred
-
Claudette is invisible so...
But also Felix with a certain skin set up because he just looks so clean and awesome with it.
-
If anything that is good, the devs will have to acknowledge that their game is in need of fixing. You know, because they couldn't tell otherwise with several content creators (even fog whisperers), the whole forums, and literally everyone else saying that the game needs to be fixed.

I suspect you will be right for the first week of its change until survivors realise there are plenty of anti tunnel perks that whilst not as good as old ds can still do phenominally. Lucky break, kindred and iron will the list goes on. Unlike ds you need to think and come up with a plan to slip away.
Ds was and still is a broken concept because invulnerbility/extra health states are inherently broken in a time trial based game espicially when its clause for activation is you as a survivor losing to a killer in an earlier chase.
Saves should be complex affairs ones with risk and actual thought bt is a terrible response to deal with tunneling you need to obscure the survivors position make it hard to chase or at the very least take a hit to buy them enough time to reach the strong loops. Bt is for camping/desperate plays.
Disagree with you on lucky break, iron will, and kindred as full-on anti-tunnel perks. They are just perks that in general that help you evade the killer, but that doesn't make them anti-tunnel perks specifically.
BT though was a camping/tunneling fix though for sure, and I think it should be changed.

That's what the OP advocated for. Fixing tunneling by implementing alternative, better strategies. Make 12 hook games significantly more viable and much more rewarding. Make tunneling and camping less viable and less rewarding and no an emblem penalty doesn't do anything. Balance out weaker killers so they can be on-par with stronger ones, balance out survivor perks so the weaker ones and stronger ones are closer in power, the whole shebang. That's literally what op wanted from reading their post.
True, balancing killers and somehow changing the game a bit to make 12 hooking survivors or spreading out the damage would make the game more fun for both sides and give killers a good chance to kill the survivors on strong maps.

No. That would make it stronger than Lullaby, with less restrictive conditions.
And stacked with Lullaby would make it absurdly overpowered.
Bold of you to assume that we would be able to get stacks of lullaby
-
Or just not let yourself be bothered by it.
-
I still don't like the new billy, his chainsaw still feels so weird to me and it is just REALLY hard to get chainsaws with him even in the open because it just feels so inaccurate. It is almost like survivors suddenly lose half of their hitbox when playing against him. What sucks even more is that I feel I am missing hits I should be getting and getting hits I should never be hitting.
Right now, it feels like you have to have surgical precision the few times you actually get to use your chainsaw to down survivors with it.
-
I think the percentage of progress lost should be buffed to 8%, and even with the buff (which sounds good) it still would be a bad perk against decent survivors.

twins put the game on it’s knees, 4.5.0 slashed it in the throat and gave it the final blow.
dbd is ruined
Yeah, because the addition of the killer ruined the game /s. Almost no one even plays the twins btw and all of the bugs that came with that patch have been fixed. The final blow is definitely not this patch either, we are just in yet another bad spot. You realize that there are still plenty of other killers that are played right?
-
Decisive strike; It was literally created with the intention of being a band-aid fix for tunneling instead of the devs actually fixing the game itself. Just look at all the upheaval the perk has gotten over the years.
-
I disagree, pop rewards a killer for doing their job and is balanced because if they choose to kick a gen survivors are on they lose distance on the survivors.
Ruin is pretty well designed as a perk. Ignoring the hex part, it is the best gen regression perk in the game. It rewards the killer for switching targets and spreading out the pressure.
Infectious fright is a weird perk, but I wouldn't say it is terribly designed.
-
That's quick maffs

Congrats, I don't really care.
I've played this game for over two years and this happens a lot to me and other players. Have you not seen the fifty other posts about being left to die on first hook?
I have, just not one where it happened five times in a row.

It's completely true, I even got left for dead on first hook three times this morning.
I still highly doubt this, this has only ever happened to me twice in a row and I have played this game for 1800 hours
