Quote: "I think it would be cool to be able to hit the killer while he has you on his shoulders to try to escape at least once or kick the killer or something. This prolly sounds really stupid but i just want dbd to be way more interesting and they have the potential to make it way better!"
People already complain about the fact that killer gameplay feels stressful like a race against the clock. Giving survivors the ability to attack the killer with the intention to rob the killer of a hard earned hook would be a one-way ticket to slug-city.
Killers would get more stressed out and slug every single match to the point where even anti-slug perks will become useless just so they can't get attacked while carrying a survivor to a hook.
Not sure how that would make DBD "better"

How do You post videos on here? I don't know how people find him hard. If you find him hard to play, I guess I'm just more skilled with him then you? Also, hitting prediction shots through walls is a lot harder than you think
Personally I just use my YouTube account to upload clips and link them to the thread. If you add the URL and hit space it will load the clip thumbnail like this:

Pretty sure he was being sarcastic lol
I mean... You're probably and hopefully right but there have been people who actually thought killers should be slower than survivors because "that's how it is in horror movies !" so I can't even tell whether someone's serious about that anymore or not haha...
Happy new year by the way.

Killers aren’t balanced to be honest. They run faster than the survivors, have abilities that allow them to minimize their terror radius, not to mention some can even 1 hit down survivors which is t fair either. The Killers are the ones who need a nerf.

He is countered like a regular killer. The only difference is you can no longer greed pallets IF he is at full charges.
Some spots make his chainsaw difficult to use as he must avoid any collision around himself including everything to his left and right side. Narrow openings like Azarov's fun bus, the holes in the wall of the Silent Hill map (Midwich), loops with pointy objects make controlling the chainsaw difficult.
Always keep in mind his chainsaw can even connect with objects low to the ground (water tap on some loops of Deathslinger's map Dead Dawg Saloon) or above your head (old Azarov crane, Springwood metal fences with pointy edges above head height etc) so always look around for pointy and narrow stuff. It makes it incredibly difficult for him to avoid collision.
Other than that always stay on the gens. They can be done in 3 minutes so yeah. Just don't greed with the pallets and hope your team is doing gens and always do gens when someone else is getting chased. Beating Bubba really isn't rocket science.
Another tip I can provide is the fact he can be stunned during his chainsaw attack if you time the pallet drop correctly. Not only does this cost him the charge he used during the attack but it also allows you to waste a little more of his time with the pallet you used to stun him. This only works if you and the killer have good connection, though.
A Demonstration of mine (notice how I kept leading him to the pointy crane to cause a tantrum and used it to run around the map, then used the pallet in front of the gas station to stop his chainsaw attack etc. That's all specific counterplay. Also notice how the 5th gen popped just after that one chase. Bubba really suffers if you know what you're doing.):
-
Did you clip it ?
-
I did get disconnected 1 match today. Ironically the moment was just perfect.
I was winning and wanted to let 2 survivors go. The second they realized I was gonna let them live they started healing in front of me and suddenly 'boom' - got disconnected.
The Entity really doesn't want me to be kind I suppose.
-
Same as the others. I rarely see Plague and Hag.
-
Question is: What keeps YOU alive when the killer finds you instead of the others?
If you really want to run a build that's about altruism and keeping your team alive I would run Bond or Empathy (maybe instead of We gonna farm forever).
This allows you to avoid the killer as you can tell whether someone is getting chased or not (avoiding the killer should be a priority since you don't have an exhaustion perk and no Decisive) and where all the injured teammates are so you get to use your "Botany and We'll Make It" combo on every injured person instead of just the one you unhooked.
Just my 2 cents.

UBK is no joke. You can run Ruin/Devour Hope against them, though. They're way too paranoid of Haunted Grounds and they don't cleanse losing a lot of gen progress. However, if you're on a low mobility killer you might as well go chill in the corner of the map anyway.
Mobility is actually the reason I got stomped that hard - to some extent at least. They kept popping gens while I was on my way go said gens but I just couldn't get there physically in time. Made me realize why high level players usually stick to Spirit/Nurse.
If I happen to face them again I sure hope I'll be playing my main. Bubba may have no mobility either but at least I can play him at 100% of hia potential unlike Pyramid Head. I'm decent as Pyramid but I'm not @GoodBoyKaru
I was stupid enough to play with no slowdown (other than Corrupt), too.
After the match I gave them a follow and also noticed they're pretty much ignoring everything including hex totems unless the hex effect really gets in their way. Other than that they're just always on gens no matter what.
They're really strong survivors. Imagine if all people played like that.
-
Something is going on with matchmaking again. Been noticing it extremely the past days.
About 2 weeks ago I lost almost every single killer match. Had multiple 3-4 minute 5 gen matches (even versed Exlelite's tournament team) despite getting quick downs. Fastest game was 3 minute and 8 seconds for all 5 gens.
Now I'm either getting green rank survivors OR red rank survivors that PLAY LIKE green rank survivors resulting in 5 gen 4ks.
Like what the actual -beeep- is going on?
-
It's a bug that re-appeared with the addition of Dedicated Servers.
In case someone wasn't around before dedicated servers. This is what it looked like before dedicated servers:
https://youtu.be/3xJSdBl2oZs -
AscensionWho (Blight main) usually plays with only two perks (BBQ and Infectious) and wins like... 99% of his matches. I think Blight is more than fine. He's a very strong killer.
-
Had lots of those weird teammates that like to throw a potential 4 man escape, too.
Not sure what's going on in their heads. I like to think they're in a rush because they forgot their pizza in the oven or something like that.
-
I'm still not sure if it's supposed to be real or not...
-
Why not grant killers emblems for not tunneling/new chases instead of punishing them for tunneling/chasing 1 survivor until they're dead ?
I feel like rewarding people for "fair" playstyles is healthier than punishing them for "unfair" playstyles.

Actually there is a timing when you can get out and when he can't get you, if you even tried to look it up you would know. You don't vault the window when he is right behind you, like with every other killer, windows destroys him.
Actually no, you don't need full coordinated team, just people who know how to loop. I never saw good survivor complaining about Bubba, he is high mid tier at best.
You're wasting your time. People who can't loop will always complain about Bubba no matter what you say.
Just today I faced one. He got a 0k against random solos (full red rank lobby including the killer). Neither me nor the other survivors even brought any items or meta builds and that (prestige-)Bubba had Ruin+Undying.
He is still countered by distance (unlike stronger killers like Nurse/Spirit), "difficult" objects (i.e. loops with pointy corners), pallets and windows.
Good players know he's mechanically fair and fine. Bad players don't want to improve so they'll demand nerfs. Simple as.

Sorry to offend the Bubba main. But there's more and more dead zones coming into play leading Bubba to a easier time to just walk up and saw. Pallets are very unsafe with him as he typically hits you through them as well, it's a coin flip. And there's plenty of videos of hits through windows where the Survivor is a pretty fair distance from the window. Since his saw is a one hit and makes him zoom zoom it happens even more and is more frustrating to go against than regular Killers who need two shots on you.
Oni can one shot me, but he has to work for it. Blight can one shot with add on, but he has to use a add on and work for it. Myers has to build it up and it's limited time unless he ran add ons. GF has to build it up. Huntress is a add on. (tho I don't like truck sized projectile one shots either) Billy's is easier to dodge and has to be well aimed. Cannibal is always available, easier to use, and his can down multiple survivors.
To top it off, he is literally the killer who can simply deny saves by existing. He's a bad design.
Also like Freddy's 10 foot pole arms, Leatherface's speed is very misleading. He looks a lot slower than he actually is moving.
There's a lot wrong with him, not a lot right with him besides I guess he matches up to his movie counterpart well?
Deadzones and unsafe pallets are a fair point - I give you that. I don't feel particularly excited about getting a down when there was no pallet or window around myself. It's way more fun to get a chainsaw hit while anti-looping.
Chainsaw hits through pallet drop animations aren't really a Bubba issue because mechanically he is designed to be stun-able (is that even a word?) during his chainsaw sweep. If survivors drop the pallet during my chainsaw sweeps I will get stunned and not break the pallet or even get the hit by 99.99%.
Last time I got a hit through the pallet and literally went like "WOOOW ######### !" because it's extremely rare for me. Maybe because I live near a server. Don't know.
Anyways I'm not offended in particular as everyone dislikes going against a specific killer. Can't make everyone happy. Personally I despise going against Spirit to this day as I feel like everything you do is what you'd describe as a coin flip except it is like that even without lag.
-

Move onto your next match, don't dwell on a bad match.
Leatherface is a poorly designed killer, that is true. He makes Freddy look like some pro play high skill character. Just not nearly as rewarding.
And you stirred up the killer wasp nest of the forum, not sure whether to laugh at their attacks on you as they are so hypocritical it's hilarious or to be sad cause this is how mains of both sides behave.
Bubba is loopable so what makes him poorly designed and low skill? I literally have to mindgame survivors to get a chance to use my chainsaw which -on a side note- requires precision to go around tight loops while avoiding collision and timing as using the charges too quickly reduces the chainsaw range whereas Freddy has no mechanical requirements at all.
There's literally nothing you can mess up mechanically as Freddy.
Your opinion is therefore objectively wrong.

I hate his hoppy walk. It bugs me that he is a 115% movement speed when he looks like he is moving slow. :)

big brain bullshitargument to nerf killer. but i have to say this game in solo survivor is super hard cau'z you always get teamate that got boosted to red rank smh, they playu like they are rank 15-14. hiding, not doing gen while the killer is in chase (yes they saw him chasing someone else), not saving at all and if there is 1 or 2 kill they hide and wait for tha hatch. solo potatoes boosted teamate is cancer and his the only way the game can be killer sided. And believe me it happen quite frequently.
"hard" is the wrong term, though. What you are describing is "luck based" as you can not mechanically win if your team refuses to do play the game and dies in seconds.
"hard" suggests that your individual skill has an impact but really if you got 3 teammates that just hop from bush to bush you will not win even if you are the best solo survivor in the world.

If you play a killer at red ranks and you face 4 ds every single game, you'll find the answer
I'm a red rank killer since 2017/2018. Not sure what you're on about.
-
What's his reasoning behind that idea ?
-
I just wanna mention some observation I made lately.
I farmed with 2 survivors because of two early game rage quits.
I wanted to farm some "basic attack hits" while they were repairing the gens. That's when I noticed:
if you stand completely still at a certain distance and move your camera to the survivor whilst lunging the camera will ALWAYS be pulled to the survivor while not letting the hit connect. I did it around 5-10 times in a row.
Again, neither me nor the survivor were moving. I was lunging while standing still and the survivor couldn't move due to the repair animation.
My ping is high 20s as I live near the german server and I'm using cable internet so it can't be a lag issue.
There's quite simply a specific distance at which aim dressing is programmed to pull your camera without letting the hit connect.
Try it for yourself next time you're having mercy with some survivors.
-
Why would you care about what a content creator (or any other stranger for that matter) thinks/says about the perks you wanna use/don't wanna use in the first place?
-
I would be mad at the teammates instead of the killer. The killer's objective is killing you.
Your objective is doing gens to escape. No one forces your entire team to get slugged near a hooked survivor.
That's not griefing/holding the game hostage either as you bleed out on the floor. It merely takes twice as long as dying on the hook as killing by slugging would be more time-efficient if it only took 2 minutes just like a hook.
-
Quote: "I've had a great many matches against Doctor where there's three people down in the first 45 seconds. That's not an exaggeration."
If that's the case then the Doctor really earned to win. If 3 people go down like poorly programmed bots then why would they deserve a chance to win?
It's a PVP game. The better team is supposed to win.
Besides the Doctor needs to hit you TWICE to down you. This allows you to run him for a while even by just holding forward until you go down especially if you use an exhaustion perk.
How do THREE people manage to go down like that?

-
OhTofu, ScottJund or Noob3 are exactly how red rank players are supposed to be in terms of skill in my opinion.
Why do you think it will ruin the game?
-
I played survivor with a few friends of mine around 1 month ago. We escaped pretty much every single game except for maybe one or two matches without communication.
We're all 2017/2018 players and all of us are red ranks both sides so we know just about everything there is to know.
So yes, it is survivor sided - at least on a high level of play.
Solo Queue on the other hand is a nightmare pretty often because there's literally red rank survivors with a few days or weeks of experience who only play 1 side so they don't know how to loop or how to counter certain killers.
On top of that matchmaking makes no sense pretty often. Today I got literal INSTANT lobbies as survivor.
First game I saw a guy dropping god pallet at 5 gens AFTER taking the hit, then waited at the pallet for the killer to break it trying to blind said killer. During this time that survivor walked backwards until they hit the outer wall of the map and theeeeen the survivor got downed.
After the match I checked the ranks and they were green ranks and high purples. I'm a red rank player on both sides and the lobby was literally INSTANT so yeah. "Great" matchmaking for solo queue players.
Long story short:
1) SWF with good players: Consistent wins, consistent fun - even without communication.
2) Killer: Consistent wins as long as you go against average solos. Still difficult when you go against DECENT solos - who seem to be rare as good solos get frustrated so they don't play too many matches I guess.
3) Solo Queue: Consistent death and frustration but sometimes you get a good team and then you typically roll the killer so hard it's not even funny.
Today I tried OoO as a solo survivor and faced a Myers. My team pumped out the gens so quickly it was crazy and as soon as I lost Myers he rage quit as the 5th gen popped during the chase.
I'm fairly sure killer gameplay would be hell on earth if all teams were that efficient.

Oddly, I don’t see this perk very often despite how insanely popular Undying + Ruin is. I don’t run that, but nonetheless I would expect to see survivor loadouts centred around dealing with Hexes.
I can see why it isn't too popular. I rarely get to use it because killers rarely slug me and if they do there's usually no hex totem (anymore). If I wasn't a Silent Hill fan I would probably run something that comes into play more frequently.
But it feels so awesome when it really does something for the team. I had 1 awesome match in particular.
It was a Hag that tried to NOED-slug the entire team. I allowed her to down me on purpose after 99-ing an Exit Gate, then crawled to the slugged teammates using Tenacity while the Hag was searching for the slugs all over the map, then got up because of NOED hex, picked them up and we made it to the gate together.
It felt so good to use the element of surprise.
-
Jokes on you! being a Silent Hill fan I'm typically running:

You are red rank survivor and purple rank killer. You made more progress as survivor and saying this game is killer sided?
Also, how are you red rank survivor if you don't like to repair gens and get downed easily? How do you rank up?
Unhooks and totems do the trick
-
Free to play = more hackers
-
I noticed people are ignoring totems, chests and working on gens while injured or while their DS is still active in most of my matches even though I run no slowdown builds giving them enough time to do EVERYTHING. I try to give everyone a fair chance to have a game with lots of points and individual chases but apparently survivors don't want that.
And then they cry when the killer brings NOED and slugs them all at the gate and everyone goes home with 15k. They're basically asking for it.

Didn't even know about that new implementation. Yikes it's already a very rare perk and now even more so.
Yupp. It already was a risky perk to use as you don't know if:
- the slug has Unbreakable allowing them to get up resulting in no pressure and a lost hook.
- the slug is in a SWF team on coms.
- the slug has Tenacity allowing them to recover while crawling to a teammate that's working on a near-by gen.
- the slug has Soul Guard allowing them to get up infinitely if you run a Hex.
- their teammates run Empathy, Bond, Aftercare etc. revealing each others aura nullifying Knockout anyways.
But hey! At least Nurse and Spirit can effectively use Knockout! They certainly need the pressure!
-
Don't worry. The basic attack requirement killed the perk anyways so you will see it maybe 10 times per year at most.

Gens can get repaired quickly even if the killer is a literal god. Not saying I'm a god but YOU tell me who looped me long enough to justify 4 gens in 2 minutes?
https://youtu.be/ncScbJ1PuS4It merely didn't record the few seconds it took to hook the first survivor. Other than that that's just how fast gens go.
2 minutes for 4 gens even if you end every chase in 5-15 seconds.
However I'm not running slowdown perks most of the time so I don't really have the right to complain. I'm just saying gen speed is ridiculous if people really try to repair them instead of hiding for minutes.
-
Hell no... I neither want to read any meaningless ggs nor do I want to get flamed for playing the game in a way that some stranger dislikes.
-
For survivors probably DS but if it was base it would have to have a proper catch as opposed to its current version.
Maybe something like this:
It only stuns the killer for 2 seconds instead of 5 seconds but the survivor gets an additional 3 second sprint burst and leaves no scratch marks during those 3 seconds. This allows the killer to quickly get back to the gens to defend them and the tunneled survivor gets a chance to get away.
For killers probably Corrupt Intervention but with a slight buff.
The location of all survivors gets revealed after the first minute of Corrupt Intervention. Otherwise people would just wait it out all the time in the long run.
Right now they merely don't wait it out as they don't know what the other survivors are doing (unless they're a 4 man SWF) and some people spawn on non-blocked gens some survivors don't even realize the killer has Corrupt.
If the current version of Corrupt was baseline it would eventually become pointless as everyone would know the killer has corrupt before the match even starts. So basically 2 minutes of doing nothing every match unless you play a preparation/trap-based killer.

Deathslingwr is fine. Maybe think harpooning someone during the unhook aught to count as a hit and let the unhook finish, but otherwise fine.
Against a spirit, just play hide and seek like the game was originally designed for.
Twins... idk. You get a notification when Victor is sent out, but... they're new. Need some more time to form an opinion. The idea is good, maybe more fine tuning.
I liked old Legion, exploits aside. I miss the speed add-ons at least. Their good now, but...meh. I didn't really play survivor then, so I really can't say anything to that effect.
My point is, you not being good against a killer doesn't make that killer OP. You didn't even mention Bubba, with a Fast-as-Legion insta-down with full movement control.
Omg not the Bubba Legion comparison again.
