They mean if a fourth survivor is within Leaders range doing a self heal, either with Self Care or a medkit
Oooh alright. That's gotta be one hell of a speedy heal.
-
Quote: "Helping double heal faster. Or the ultra rare triple heal."
There's no such thing as a triple heal...
-
Quote: "AT LEAST one guy kill himself on the hook, first hook despite the fact that people are coming."
Maybe that is exactly why they're leaving the match. If everyone's greeding for hooks instead of working on gens I'd give up on the hook, too.
-
If you enjoy Hag's playstyle and want to master her you should check out Space Coconut. He has (almost) exclusively played Hag since basically... Ever.
-
Hag is very strong and gets a lot of hate due to her playstyle/design which is pretty campy/sluggy. She can sort of camp hooks and defend gens at the same time using her traps making her annoying to face for most people.
She's a 110% killer so you have to work with your traps at all times instead of chasing after every person you see. You must not forget to re-trap all areas throughout the match otherwise she becomes a no power 110% killer that's easy to bully.
Clown is the exact opposite. He is a killer that's directly designed to go for chases. @TheClownIsKing can probably describe him better than me.

Reality is NOBODY can even realitically know how often they face hackers.
Hacking doesn't necessarily mean you're flying through the map and using god mode or throwing hatchets as Ghostface.
Some hackers stick to something like wallhacks and know when to hide it.
I used to play Wolfenstein 1.0 back in the day and virtually every experienced player had Wallhacks and Aimbots yet only few of the long-term clan players got banned for it because everyone knew when to use it without making it too obvious.
Ask yourself 1 question: How are you supposed to know let alone prove that one specific survivor is wallhacking if said survivor just disabled the wallhack as soon as 1 teammate died ?
Or how would you know a 4 man SWF team wallhacked? The only thing you will notice is how difficult it is to "mindgame" them.
So yeah, I'm fairly sure everyone has faced hackers at this point.
-
Well... I refuse to run full meta builds and I think the killers I play are mechanically fair and balanced so I don't feel bad in any way whatsoever.

Highly doubt that since if you look at some streamers I hardly notice a difference from their gameplay
The only streamer I actively watch lately is Exlelite. He mostly plays with his tourney team and one day they got the same killer player like 4-5 times during their session. I too faced his tourney team once a few months ago because that day I played at a different time than usual.
Right now I usually play a few matches at night so obviously I won't verse UBK anytime soon again.
So yeah time of the day and region does have an impact based on my own observation. It's fine if you think differently, of course.
-
Might be a time and region thing. Person-A can have multiple tourney players in their region while Person-B has nothing but potatoes in their region and keeps playing when all the potatoes are at home and willing to throw some survivor matches.

I wonder what music Clown hears.
I feel you. The default chase music has annoyed me for a while now which is why I spend more and more time playing PH instead of Bubba. Must feel awesome for you to get a unique chase music. I'm happy for you. Are you completely satisfied with the music?

It still has the chance of letting everyone escape though. It also just stalls the game, a survivor could keep baiting the killer over to the hatch while someone does a gen. Also, I think you should be able to interrupt the animation.
I mean the interruption part as in "if" you get chased off / interrupted then the 15 sec animation resets like a totem.
It would at least allow for actual gameplay from both sides.
Survivors can try and bait the hatch, the killer gets a chance to stop them and/or find them (if they just bait it).
That was just a quick idea which would keep the key strong but at least it would require some tactics to get away via the hatch with that change.
-
Just make it so the hatch has a proper animation that takes around 15 seconds and can't be interrupted like totems and causes a loud noise notification allowing the killer to defend it.
-
130€ at the moment. I guess that's alright considering the game has been entertaining me since winter-2017.

I guess I don’t see why you would be using spies and whispers to track generators instead of using dedicated gen tracking perks like surveillance/ tinkerer / discordance/ etc.
I use whispers to get into my first chase quickly, not nearly so much to find people working on gens
I never bought the SAW chapter so Surveillance is not an option. Tinkerer or Discordance is obviously a good alternative but they've got their drawbacks as well.
If people do gens separately you're not getting any value from Discordance (I used to run it but dropped the perk after a while as I felt like people would split up way too frequently whenever they noticed I had it).
And Tinkerer... Well... It would often activate when I wasn't close enough to defend the gen making it kinda meh. I still like it on Bubba, though.
I'm currently trying to master Pyramid Head however so Tinkerer doesn't feel all that useful. I may get a hit if I'm lucky and close enough but they will usually still pop that gen in my face and get away.

Whispers tier 3 is just the best way to pinpoint the exact location of a survivor. Tier 2 will give you a much bigger area to search when active.
Yupp that's true. Tier 3 is more useful when it comes to finding survivors if that's how you want to use Whispers.
Tier 2 Whispers however seems better when it comes to monitoring gens and combined with a tracking perk like Spies (I'm currently testing that combo) you just always know what survivors are up to.
I know that doesn't sound meta at all but I really had some crazy good matches with that combo today. Always knew what gens they wanted and consistently found them via Spies From The Shadows as tier 2 Whispers (40m) synergizes with Spies radius (36m).
-
@Kebek said:
I think at that point you would be better off with BBQ/thrilling if you use find whispers T2 better in that way. Same goes for almost all the other perks, lower tiers then 3 that "might" be better then their T3 usually get rewokred to have the T3 be the best option either way.
I'd rather if devs just removed tiers to lessen the grind for newer players then keep several niche perks that are possibly better at lower tier.
The thing that makes Whispers more enjoyable than let's say BBQ/Thrilling is its effect can not be countered.
I think it's mostly information perks that I tend to prefer on lower tiers.
Infectious Fright is another example:
Tier 1 reveals the survivor location for 4 seconds instead of 6 (tier 3).
If the bubble is only visible for 4 seconds it is more likely that the survivor will be very near the bubble.
2 more seconds (tier 3) gives the survivor a little more room to sneak away from the location bubble.

When I occasionally play Huntress, I've noticed a lot of the hatchets that are "dedicate server issues" dont look like they should have hit to me
For reference I'm averaging about 10 ping a game, 60 fps, so unless the survivor has very bad connection, which is usually very noticable!
It's definitely ######### hitboxes to at least some affect!
How do you get a 10 ping? Do you live inside a server? Genuinely curious.

It’s more than that though. Doc also wastes a lot of the survivors time as well.
Sure he does. Doctor also has decent anti-loop besides his built-in stall. However since op called killers "hero" instead of killers I figured it must be a new player facing new-ish survivors so in op's case it's specifically Doctor's anti-stealth that allows them to dominate.
-
Experienced Killers are allowed to beat potato-level and most semi-decent survivors and at the same time forced to get destroyed when they face a decent SWF team unless they're playing meta killers with meta builds and/or using a combination of all "scummy" playstyles.
Solo survivors are allowed to destroy bad/inexperienced killers if the entire team does gens which is rarely the case and forced to die in all of the other matches.
Elite level SWF teams seem to be the only people to have "consistent" fun and very little stress or frustration.
-
Quote: "I play all hero "
I mean... I wouldn't necessarily consider a killer to be a hero...
On topic the Doctor typically does well against new-ish survivors because he breaks the strongest defense of new/weak survivors - which is stealth.
Doctor finds survivors pretty much instantly by default forcing people to really "be there and ready" in an instant. If they're scaredy cats that don't know how to run a killer the match is pretty much over.
-
The only problem I see in that clip was your teammates (and your build). They farmed you off the hook repeatedly without borrowed time.
Jane even decided to hide after unhooking you instead of taking agro and Feng Min literally farmed you off the hook without Borrowed Time WHILE Pyramid Head was there AND she ran away after the unhook.
The 3rd survivor was near the hook instead of doing gens, too.
Blame your teammates. Any other killer would have killed you that match JUST AS QUICKLY with that kind of team.
That clip is a terrible example for that so called "problem".

Haha yeah ironically a hate-based tier list wouldn't look too different to a normal tier list in this regard.
Freddy would probably be up there, too.

Dude Deathslinger is an M1 killer, there’s a reason he’s the number 1 choice for STBFL.
Number 1 STBFL choice? Isn't that still Demodoggo? Also I kinda think STBFL is overrated on Deathslinger due to the fact the obsession can waste your time by not struggling against the chain.
Anyways as I said I just consider him a M2 killer as I have to watch out for his gun rather than just the ordinary M1 hits. If a killer has a legit secondary attack then I fail to see how it's a M1 killer.

I believe all killers besides nurse would lose.
Even most Nurse will lose to top tier survivors I think.
I'm watching Exlelite right now. He's SWF-ing with Sawpalin and two others. They're 3-4 man escaping every match.
The only killer that got close to beating them was a Legacy-Nurse with almost 6000 hours and even she BARELY got a 2nd kill. The 2nd kill was caught IN FRONT OF THE OPEN GATE. That's how close it was for a Rank1 Infectious Fright Legacy Nurse (Needless to say the Nurse depipped after the match, too).

You know they might be right....who the hell knows.
That's why i would to see the stats so we know which side has the right to complain.
Currently i am just talking from my experience that it absolutely sucks to be in solo queue at red rank.
Chart above is across all ranks. Average is on the right side of the chart (56%).
Chart above is Red Ranks. Average 68%.
3 kills equals 75% since 1 survivor equals 25% in a match. Since Freddy has been averaging 75% / 3 kills for a year now he's going to get nerfed. At least I think that was the reasoning besides the fact he is way too easy to play effectively with nothing you have to actually "master" over a long period of time.
These stats were posted by Behaviour to celebrate DBD's anniversary.
EDIT: @Pulsar beat me to it. Oops.
Anyways also keep in mind kill rates do not necessarily correlate with the overall strength of a killer. Freddy is strong for sure but the reason he is at the top of the food chain is the fact he is strong AND easy to play.
That's why Nurse has the lowest kill rate despite being objectively the strongest killer in the game.
-
If you want to watch some elite-skill survivors that just keep it professional and talk mostly about the match and their thought process I recommend Exlelite or his friends like Sawpalin.
They consistently perform like REAL red rank survivors and don't throw a tantrum making their streams enjoyable to watch.

I agree with you that killer gameplay is hard against a SWF.
My opinion is the devs need to deal with the reality of the situation that the game completely changes based on if you are in a swf or not.
If most people are in a swf however then i guess solo queue can just suck it up or move to a different game.
I understand your frustration by the way. I usually enjoy playing both sides but everytime I get derp-teammates that have absolutely no idea how the game works I just wanna give up on survivor gameplay forever.
At the same time I know just how ridiculously fast gens may pop when you face 4 decent survivors that really know what they're doing and punish the killer for every single mistake (fastest 5 gens against me was 3 minutes and 8 seconds without toolboxes) so I know just how strong survivors can be by default.
My biggest hope right now is the upcoming MMR system. It wasn't any good the first time they tried but maybe it will be more... Functional this time?
-
I'm not sure what to think of this. It kinda shows how bored people are when it comes to their objective/gens so they really prefer to mess around even if it gets them sacrificed but we all know the devs are not going to change up survivor gameplay let alone add a new "mission" so I'm not even surprised when people throw just so they can try to do some "funny stuff" like chaining Head Ons, dumbtech (can't believe how popular this is) etc.
-
Title should be "sick of bot teammates".
Killer gameplay is hard and stressful the second a DECENT (not even god like) SWF team joins the lobby. Why is that the case?
It's not just communication. It's also the fact they're actually DOING gens.
Meanwhile solo queue with Bond:
You see people
- hiding in random corners on red ranks especially at the start of the game because no one wants to get chased even though it's braindead easy against most killers.
- crawling behind objects as soon as they're injured doing nothing.
- plundering chests.
- tbagging together in the basement (I once looped a Wraith for multiple minutes in 1 single chase expecting all gens to pop, then saw all 3 teammates tbagging each other in the basement when I got caught and hooked. After the match the killer told me they were trolls that did nothing but HEAD ON attempts all game).
- dropping pallets AFTER taking hits wasting said pallets while nullifying their speed boost due to the animation lock. This often includes strong pallets like killer shack.
- going afk randomly during the match.
Maybe the MMR system that drops next patch will sort things out. Right now it's safe to say that 90% of all red rank and even purple rank survivors belong to yellow ranks based on their decision making and looping.

yea, community says he is m2 killer because without his power he is useless. i agree with that. but he can use surge and stbfl like he is basic attacking, so that's why technically he is an m1 killer. most m2 killers like blight, demogorgon, hillbilly, huntress, etc. don't have this advantage, but you're right.
Thinking about it isn't it kinda inconsistent how it counts as a basic attack when you shoot someone as Slinger yet it's a special attack when Blight hits someone with his stick whilst rushing even though it's still the same attack source. Weird balance decisions.

he is a m1 killer. you still have to melee them after you spear. which is why he can use noed, haunted grounds, etc. unless he was asking strictly m1 killers with no chase power, which he wasn't because he mentioned nurse as an example.
Well, I guess everyone understands something else under the term M1 killer.
Personally I think the term M1 killer refers to "typical" killers that have to run after a survivor until they can go for the ordinary M1 attack exceptions being Nurse/Spirit due to their mobility powers.
Since Deathslinger shoots instead I consider him a M2 killer.

Nice, you're actually one of the players I wanted to trigger with this! Hear me out;
You excuse the loss of Survivors or the win of the Killer with "90% of the Survivors have no idea what they're doing" and with that sentence you pretty much confirmed what I said. The result of the match is mainly based on the skill (or lack of) of the players within that match. You just said it yourself here, white on black.
You also can't excuse a loss with "I played perkless Wraith while the Survivors had full meta perk loadout!". That's like saying "I lost in CS:GO with a knife and no body amour while the other player had a full body armour and an M4!".
As I said; Everyone has the chance to adapt and prepare for the match to get a realistic chance of winning. You can make the matches balanced but if you decide to go into a 4x SWF naked you should expect to be at a disadvantage.
That doesn't mean the game is unbalanced, that just means you're a ..... for not preparing for it accordingly.
Again: Show me a streamer that does 50 escapes solo under current gameplay conditions.
-
@Roobnus said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1873370#Comment_1873370
Firstly, I would say that the biggest issue here was the matchmaking system which has nothing to do with the actual imbalance of gameplay features. If you play Apex Legends against a lobby full of Apex Predators, the game would feel imbalanced aswell even though literally every single person in the lobby has the same conditions.
Another thing to consider - not all Killers are of equal skill so if you plan to use Clown, you may want to adapt accordingly. This may require you to slug, camp, tunnel, 3gen strat or whatever but you need to utilize the most in any given scenario. That's like complaining that you lost with a nacked P2020 (pistol) against a 5000 hours apex player with a fully slotted R99. Is that the result of imbalance or the result of lack of skill and preparation?
As I said already, if luck is such a big factor how can streamers literally show you how towin 50 consecutive matches as Killer or Survivor, regardless of the Killer / Survivor loadout, map or team constellation? The reason is, they know how to play.
Show me a streamer that manages to do 50 escapes in a row solo under current gameplay conditions without the scummy-key-left-behind strat.
As for 50 wins as killer in a row that's more realistic considering 90+% of survivors have no idea what they're doing due to the fact you can get sacrificed and still double-pip as survivor even on red ranks.
Everyone knows red rank survivors often play no better than yellow ranks so your point just isn't valid since all killer characters mechanically just win based on survivor mistakes except for killers that can by-pass mechanics such as distance, pallets and windows using their powers. Again: That's common sense. There's a reason everyone plays Spirit/Nurse in tournaments and not Clown.
Regular killers never really win because they played well. They win because survivors messed up their loops and decision making. Only Nurse and Spirit can factually beat survivors regardless of their looping skills and decision making as their power mechanics nullify survivor mechanics.
-
@Roobnus said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1858384#Comment_1858384
If luck was such a big factor, how can someone manage to get 50 escapes in a row as solo Survivor? Or how can a Killer get 50 4k's in a row? Surely RNG has impact on each match but it doesn't decide if you lose or win.
So you are going to deny that BOTH sides have conditions that lead to a lose or win pretty much by default ?
Alright - try to win under these circumstances:
Play Clown on Haddonfield with basement god-window rng, against 4 rank 1 pro-loopers with 5000 hours in the game EACH and everyone spawns on a separate generator with brand new part.
Tell me again how DBD is just a brutally honest game and the Clown player just messed up.
Luck is a huge factor in DBD. That's literally just common sense.
OR play solo survivor with bad matchmaking (another luck factor) that throws you in a lobby with 3 new survivors and a 5000 hours Rank 1 Nurse-only-main with Ruin/Undying/Infectious Fright/Knockout.
Tell me again how the only 1 experienced survivor messed up when matchmaking goes crazy every now and then.
Again: Luck IS a big factor in DBD.

Idk ive tried to 360 multiple times and it doesnt seem to be working anymore. Guess the devs were tired of it?
I too think turning is affected. Just quoted the devs on that topic anyways but it certainly does look like survivors can't wildly spin around with those new animations.
One way to test it would be Punishment Of The Damned from a few meters. On a good ping survivors can literally just move out of the red glowing area before the shockwave hits them.
If the new animations slow down survivor turning then the shockwave should hit everytime even out in the open.

They can say whatever they want but if i play the ptb (which i did) and turnspeed is affected their statement is false. You get a stagger every time you turn, moving as survivor feels horrible and i don't think i would be able to play this game as much as i used to because everything feels so uncomfortable.
Looking at the hud gives me motion sickness and it never happened to me so i doubt i will ever get used to it.
I really don't get the reason of changing stuff which noone ever asked for.
I stopped playing billy after his rework not much for all of his addons nerfs and oh mechanic but because of his new animations. I have spent almost 5k hrs in this game and i can say my investment already paid off so if they'll leave the new survivor's animations like this i won't even think twice about quitting.
And i am not that kind of crybaby that would quit because they stole my toys or i cant win easily anymore but because playing in the ptb feels VERY uncomfortable. The only good thing is the idle animation of survivors, that's something they should keep
Well most people seem to dislike the new HUD and animation changes so chances are they're not going live anyways.

Running all chase perks against survivors who are good in chase and know how to do gens is gg. I go for 12 hooks not slug and try to 1 hook everyone
Not to mention chase perks like Spirit Fury/Enduring make no sense on Pyramid Head. His power is anti-loop so why waste perk slots on something that's not the killer's weakness to begin with? What Pyramid Head needs (against GOOD survivors that is) is TIME.
