I'll have you know that Twins with Sloppy,Corrupt,Ruin+Undying is also a super fun experience ☝️
Oooh that one sounds thrilling. Well, at least you get enough time on the floor to think about all the other games you could play after that very unique and interesting DBD experience.
In my case it's Borderlands - once again.
-
I take it you haven't played against a Knockout, Ruin, Infectious Fright Nurse ?
That's what I just faced. Slug party at 5 gens against a bunch of solo players.

I don't know what you mean or understand what you are saying.
But anyway Killer have so many advantage like the broken hitbox, look how many Killers Go for unfair Hits and say "Killer is sooooooo hard"
I think people generally don't get what I mean. Anyway I agree Spirit has little to no counterplay resulting in easy 1v1 downs. All I'm saying is there's more going on mechanically when playing Spirit as opposed to survivor (and that's a good thing).
Imagine it was mechanically difficult to run as survivor because devs added a certain key combination mechanic that was needed to run at full speed. Now that would result in a truly terrible survivor experience.

No I was just laughing so god damm hard because of the Joke you wrote XD
It's a fact that Spirit is mechanically more demanding than survivor.
I even listed the number of mechanics involved in using both sides. Your argument on the other hand is:
"mimimimi killer so hard"
Because there's literally no difficult mechanic for survivors. There's nothing you even have to practice to play survivor as survivor gameplay is intentionally all about decision making only.

yes i do a lot of mindgames with the chainsaw (good survivors never fall for those anyway) it took me 0 hours to do it, but way better is to zone them breaking the pallet from the side u want, thats everything you need to know with bubba, and learn how not to bump on things, those 2 things and u already learned 99.9% bubba wich takes around (basic knowdlege of the game gained by playing the game) and practice a bit aroudn corners to know how not to bump on them thats it.
Good for you

@ScottJund and Puppers at the moment.

I've recently tried playing more stealthy due to the ridiculous hits and FPS drops that happen in chases this patch and found it to be quite fun at times.
https://youtu.be/7lA994-iZEUThat was at Rank 1 by the way. Even experienced killers don't expect big David to suddenly disappear behind a random tree.
Gotta love Fixated 😏

Mechanically, all everyone does is press M1 and M2. I'd say when it comes to looping, against spirit, the killer has the advantage if they are indeed using stridor, which is 90% of spirits I encounter at reds.
M1 and M2 is how mechanics are used but that doesn't correlate with the number of mechanics that come into play.
A spirit player -whilst phasing- has to deal with mechanics such as:
- literal blindness in terms of characters
- footsteps
- scratch marks
- breathing / grunts of pain
- moving grass if there's any
- and risks going into the cooldown-mechanic when messing up the phasewalk.
The survivor meanwhile literally only moves around and possibly uses a pallet or window to avoid the phasewalk with no other mechanics involved.
Sure a good Spirit won't miss but that's not the point. The bottom line is the killer has to deal with more overall mechanics making it more demanding.
Let a complete newbie play survivor and then Spirit. I bet you most people will pick up survivor gameplay more quickly than Spirit (especially since it's mostly sitting on gens if no one is hiding).

Playing Spirit is way easier than playing solo Q.
I marked the word "mechanically" for a reason.
Solo Q may be a pain very often but that's not because of any "super demanding survivor mechanics". It's because of terrible decision making and lack of coordination.

tbf there is not that much going on with bubba to master him.
Yes, I'm sure you perfectly (reverse-)antiloop and parkour all parkour-able loops with Bubba.
-
Quote: "When I'm not wrong spirit is not a hard killer to learn right?"
Spirit may not be the most difficult killer to learn but she's still mechanically 10000% harder to play than survivor.
Yes, that's an accurate number.
-
You realize there's a major difference between some noob playing him (easily 90+% of Bubbas you come across imo. Particularly P3 Bubbas and ClaudetteFace Bubbas in my experience) with the intention to be an arse and someone like me who has spent thousands of hours mastering him with the intention to provide an exciting and fair experience, don't you?

You should consider getting better instead of whining about super easy stuff to counter.
Killers can say the same about spinning survivors. They should learn how to loop instead of relying on exploiting aim dressing and fps drops that allow them to teleport out of the killer's pov.

If you want boobs to have no physics then maybe adult games aren't for you ? Even my girlfriend wants the game to be realistic in this regard.
Besides chest physics didn't get added in the latest update. They were originally in the game since the Curtain Call DLC because of Kate. The chest physics bugged out at some point and didn't get fixed until now.

I was watching Zubat and I was flabbergasted at how often that was happening, even in cases where there was no major interaction, like after a short and uneventful chase.
Luckily, I think I've fully transitioned to the phase where I prefer watching others playing this game instead of playing it myself. Can't say I'm disappointed so far.
Yeah I too tend to watch others play more often lately as I really can't stand that combination of bugs, fps drops and big egos simultaneously haha...
-
Best thing about it is it brought back all the mediocre killers that nod and shake their heads after downing you like they accomplished something when the hit literally went through the wall a full second after vaulting a near-by window.

Oh yeah anyone loses to a tournament squad and it going to stay that way.
Yeah that's true for the most part. I've seen them lose a couple times to Spirits and Nurses but even that's relatively rare.

I mean he’s still great at forcing pallets and getting one shots. He can defend hooks well too and makes unsafe saves near impossible. His addons are also really good.
Definitely better than decent imo
Didn't mean to sound negative by calling him decent. He sure can defend hooks, create deadzones and snowball (if survivors mess up) but all of that means relatively little against an organized team that splits up, chains windows and works on gens while injured (I'm talking UBK tournament level of play as I usually face them a few times per week) because he just doesn't have map pressure, gen slowdown/defense.
Then again I refuse to run slowdown perks on him as I find them boring to use so I'm making it needlessly difficult for myself.

This is true. While I feel like there is relatively limited counter play to Bubba using bamboozle and purple chili; he can just be fed pallets and it won’t matter.
Meanwhile that same 6k could be like a rusty shackles hag, alchemist ring blight, swing chains Freddy, tombstone Myers, topknot Oni, etc all of which I feel are way stronger and less able to be looped
Yupp that's exactly one of his issues. He's map dependant. If there's multiple strong windows and a ton of pallets they can just feed you everything to delay the downs/hooks while everyone else is pumping out gens. And once the pallets are gone they're just running to the windows the second they hear your terror radius and start chaining them together to delay the downs again.
That being said I still like him quite simply because survivors have to respect him. Also at his highest level of play you can anti loop a few loops here and there resulting in a really fun experience.
I really love anti looping the harvester:

Since when was Leatherface OP? And dc penalties are fine. Otherwise I can agree with most of this post, with the frustration of new bugs and the gap between the strong and weak killers.
Most people can't loop and hold a chase unless they get a hit-boost they can use to hold forward until the killer catches up for the 2nd hit. Leatherface eats that kind of survivor for breakfast making him seem op when in reality he's barely "decent" against strong survivors.
-
Plague needs one simple buff:
a token based mechanic.
For every corrupted fountain she gets 1 token. Everytime someone cleanses she gets 1 additional token. Every token allows her to activate corrupt purge regardless of her position.
Just give her a short "prayer" animation when she uses a token and let her use the power mid-chase.
That way she would not have to waste time walking to fountains that may be in random corners of the map while everyone's pumping out gens for free.
-
85 pips in one match? Ladies and Gentlemen, we found the best killer of all time !
On a serious note that visual bug probably has something to do with them changing the whole ranking stuff soon.
-
Just gonna leave this here:
https://youtu.be/iovMX6j2LxwThis patch basically makes it impossible to use any exhaustion perk on old gen consoles.
I'm now running a bunch of information perks until I manage to get a Series X.
-
I'm on XB1 myself. FPS drops are worse than ever before. The game legitimately stops for 2+ full seconds for every status effect even if it's someone else that gets hit by a status effect.
Yesterday the fps dropped for multiple seconds when someone was hit so I knew the killer had Sloppy Butcher (and I was right).
Performance most definitely hasn't improved for me.
-
Always try and evaluate how many charges he has during the chase. If let's say he breaks a pallet and charges up the chainsaw again within the next 4 seconds then he's still at 2 charges allowing you to greed the next pallet unless he's running recharge addons such as the Primer Bulb or Spark Plug.
Also count the number of chainsaw swings he gets during his attack (you can sometimes do that whilst working on a gen if you see a teammate get chased). If you can count more than 10 swings then he is running chilli addons which are quite popular as they make the charge timing easier and increase the effective chainsaw range by adding more swings.
If he's running chilli addons you can't greed pallets unless he's really at maybe 1 charge so just drop the pallet if you think he's at full charges and hope your team does gens quickly.
Other than that -and that's Bubba's real cryptonite in chases- try and find 2 strong windows that you can chain together. Even with Bamboozle Leatherface becomes a No-power M1 killer the second you chain multiple windows.
I made a red rank Bamboozle Leatherface rage quit the other day as I found 2 good windows that I kept chaining together making even Bamboozle completely worthless.

I think he was joking that there is kind of no event.
Yupp that's precisely what I mean.
I miss actual events with "eventful" mechanics like the Moonrise event.
-
What event ?
-
That's literally an altered version of Elodie's reindeer skin...
-
Most people are casual players who don't even know all the perks so giving them information is kinda useless. There's a reason why decent players often stick to the boring meta.
Team oriented builds don't work with average potatoes.
-
This patch made me play stealthy for the first time in years. Getting chased is literally pointless when every animation is an automatic hit.
-
30 ping matches feel like you're playing on a 150+ ping server sincethe update. Something is definitely off.
FPS drops seem to be worse than ever before, too.
-
How does the game run on the new patch ? Just as terrible as always with regular fps drops ? Or are you playing on a new gen console ?
-
Quote: "The fact I paid money"
You know who else paid money to play the game? The other 4 people who are in your lobby.
If you disconnect as a survivor the other 3 survivors get destroyed because of you even though they paid money to have a normal gaming experience.
If you disconnect as killer the 4 survivors wasted 10000 hours in queue for nothing so you robbed them of their time and money to some extent.
There really isn't a good excuse to disconnect and it's most definitely not "I paid money".
I understand some matches can be frustrating but that's what you sign up for whenever you play any online PVP game.
-
Bad teammates are often scared to do gens alone and hide whenever they're injured so maybe Bond+Prove Thyself ? That way you can always find scared chickens, heal them quickly and motivate them to work on a gen with you and Prove Thyself removes the efficiency de-buff so win-win situation.
The other 2 perk slots can be used for whatever you feel you need for your own survival. An exhaustion perk of your choice and DS for instance.
-
Don't listen to op, survivors !
There's a shiny chest in the basement. I heard it contains a new 70 inch OLED TV.
Don't ask me how it fits in there and also just ignore the big man with the chainsaw standing in the opposite corner.
-
Nope, not bannable even though it's not fun to be downed for 4 minutes straight until you bleed out.
Mechanically it's still just slugging so it's fine according to the rules.
-
Quote: "how did you grow thicker skin and managed to stop caring about the match outcomes?"
I still care about the outcome of the match and get upset when everything goes wrong even after all these years. However what helped me get a "more" chill mindset was specialisation.
Find a killer with a power you genuinely enjoy, then find a setup that boosts the factors you enjoy about said killer's power.
Once you've mastered the killer with your setup you will go in a match thinking that you can -to some extent- control the outcome of the match unless you face a team of 4 optimal solo players or a decent SWF team.
This may (or may not) help you enjoy the match more over time. Is there a killer you find considerably more interesting than other killers power-wise?
-
I've recently started running Agitation as a standalone perk (on rank 1). I thought it would be a waste of a perk slot compared to the typical slowdown meta but damn... Agitation really impacts matches consistently because:
- it counters bodyblocking SWF teams
- it counters Breakout-Sabo-Squads
- it allows you to save a few seconds every single time you hook somebody allowing you to get back to the gens more quickly. I have managed to defend so many 90+% gens just because I got there in time after hooking someone.
- it counters people that run to hook-free areas. I had a survivor run to the "basement" of Badham Preschool and the basement didn't spawn down there. The survivor purposely got downed next to the oven thinking I wouldn't make it to a hook outside because of the breakable wall upstairs. Well, guess what... I zoomed and even passed another survivor who was waiting outside to bodyblock me.
- sometimes you down someone near a 90+% generator and another injured survivor will try to finish the gen in your face since you're "normally" unable to do anything with a survivor on your shoulder. It throws them off big time everytime I pick someone up and suddenly chase after them. Not only does it get them by surprise but it's hilarious to see as well making it a double-win for me.
- it pretty much allows you to pick a hook of your choice. If the basement is anywhere near I can turn the match into Bubba's basement with just that 1 perk.
I'm totally addicted to Agitation and will keep it in my loadout for a while.
-
Leatherface only (for the most part) since his release.
Occasionally Pyramid Head since I'm a Silent Hill 2 fan.

Yupp that's pretty much what it means except for bonus. I think "reward" would be a better word as I meant it as in have some chilli for your work :)

Camping, tunneling and slugging is normal gameplay just like repairing gens at all times even while injured.

I didn’t get on here and cry after one game. I’ve played for years, like I said, and determined that Leatherface’s chainsaw is overpowered. Disagree if you want, but I posted this because I have made up my mind after years of evaluation. If you don’t like it, then I don’t know why you commented.
Years of evaluation huh? Interesting considering Leatherface hasn't always been what he is now. Very interesting.
