Killer is definitely the power role.

The survivors strength is in their numbers. Play a game where the first survivor DC's within 2 minutes into the game. See how the killer goes in a 1 v 3 scenario. Unless there's a major skill discrepancy, the killer will win. For that matter, get into a 3 gen situation with survivors. You'll see that they cannot complete them unless you let them -- either by actually letting them, or by making a mistake. Simple as that. Put 1 survivor against 1 killer, with a 2 Gen Requirement, and players of equal skill, and the killer will win almost every time.

before that 2 mins 3 to 4 gens can be done. 3 gens are where most hatch escapes happen anyway and honestly 3 gen situations can be on the survivors for not repairing the correct gens. They also don't happen every game so because it makes survivors feel hopeless its OP? Also thats kinda why this game isn't a 1v1 its 4v1 and idk you bring that up. If your last survivor hatch opens and you can escape through it or if the killer closes it you go for a gate if you don't have a key. I really don't understand the 1v1 tho

As much as I like and appreciate that, I hate to say they won't stop. They haven't for years, why would they now? Don't fool yourself.

Sometimes the survivors really are a lot of fun and we have good games, but most often they're not anymore. I sincerely hope this upcoming patch (whenever it finally goes live) will be a saving grace and bring more enjoyment back to the game than grief.

Yes they may not stop but its you as the person that has the power and crontrol to not let them get to you. I have been there and rage quit before as both sides, its very frustrating but the sooner you can ignore it and let it go the better you feel and easier it is to not only play but deal with the toxic players. Mind over matter

  • @VikingWilson said:

    I don't care anymore, I'm mori-ing first hook.

You can thank your fellow survivors.

The real trick to out doing survivors is to be better than them emotionally. Don't mori and just pretend that game didn't happen. I say kill em with kindness till survivors have the only toxic people left. Notice toxic people and not toxic survivors or killers. Think like this. Now that your gonna be first hook mori people lets say you do that to 2 people. thats now 2 people that may have been nice and are now toxic. We need people to be bigger than the jerks thats all.

It isn't just you. Unfortunately there are a lot of ######### players who think it makes them a good killer and makes a good game. It is beyond tedious to go up against. You will get loads of killer mains coming on this thread claiming it's a "legit strategy". They don't like being told they are ######### at the game.

Didn't read the whole thread as this comment irritated me a bit as its people in general and not just killer mains. Personally as a killer main camping is stupid. PROXY camping is what I consider a valid strat to some degree. Campers may also be people that may not understand the core of the game right off the from the get go. Camping is honestly the main reason I main killer because I'm not a fan of wasting my time staring at a killers face while my team gets out. We can also reverse some statements to put it on survivors too like how when survivors use infinites they think they are a god because they can use a window 3 times. How about you just say its scummy to do instead of accusing the other side of something they may or may not do or agree with.

  • I play her on console so that may differ but I really enjoy her heres my build.

    1. Corrupt Intervention
    2. Whispers
    3. Nurse's Calling
    4. BBQ and Chili

For add ons I personally never used any with her as I wanted to get used to how she throws, the arcs you can get sometimes, certain hitboxes on obstacles, ect. but as @csandman1977 said avoid the wind up add ons to get used to her wind up. Sometimes just pulling your hatchet out but not throwing it you can potentially bait a survivor to go to a dead zone where you can M1 or just get an easier hatchet throw. Also never think the games over if alot of gens pop and you've barely hooked people as Huntress is great at snowballing, so a bleak situation can still be a win.

    @csandman1977 said:

As i have been trying to be a good huntress player i can tell you what i did.

Perks - Shadowborn - FOV is a wonderful thing. Plus it makes it seem like you are walking faster so you don't feel the 110% movement speed. Only real problem is if you get used to running it, there's a relearning curve with the aim if you take it off.

Bbq- One of the few killers who can possibly benefit from the aura reading.

Those are the only 2 perks i think have to be run honestly. Iron maiden is good for faster reloading, im all ears can get you some surprise hatchets. Bitter murmur possibly does the same as BBQ aura wise. Just ignore any perks that require m1 attacks to proc.

Addons - the exhaustion add-ons are amazing. And cheap. The brown one causes 30 seconds of exhaustion. Great if you can get first hit in.

I myself stay away from faster windup add-ons, as i don't want to mess up the muscle memory of how long it takes to actually throw a hatchet

Iri head, well I dont use it. Nothing wrong with it but i expect to see a ton of them in the coming weeks.

Gameplay, dont go for long range shots at first. Get used to the windup and arc. Keep in mind that a charged shot and a quick flick do the same amount of damage but it but time held does affect the arc of the throw.

Farming for target practice isnt horrible. Not saying go into the match to farm, but if the situatuon arises take advantage.

The lullaby is 40 meters so survivors will have a head start. Try to approach from the direction survivors will want to run in. Also lullaby is not affected by monitor

I never used Shadowborn as I heard it would mess me up going back and forth between using it and not using it. I've been tempted for a while to use it as Huntress has become a fav of mine I just don't know which perk I would give up as they all benefit my playstyle.

Corrupt is widely considere one of the best killer perks right now. Especially with those perks in combinition i mentioned, it is extremly powerful. I doubt you have ever tested it recently, otherwise you would most likely speak different.

Maybe DS and Unbreakable are too strong, i am not sure. I would nerf DS a little bit, but that has nothing to do with no counterplay. Just because something is strong or something is weak does not mean there is (no)counterplay. Dont mix that up please.

Just because people don't agree with you or are disagreeing with you doesn't mean you can just belittle their opinions. Personally I think pop sucks as I have to leave a chase to use it in certain situations. I personally love corrupt since old ruin is gone but I never pair it with pop as to me I either waste a couple of pops because gens popped too fast and no other gen was being repaired or had any repair on it or my corrupt is useless and I dont find a survivor till it expired. People have their opinions and preferences and have a right to express and share them as you do but you don't have to be rude about it or completely disregard their opinion. I understand you like that pair but I personally don't and that's fine, just why can't we be respectful and polite?

SWF is actually the vast minority of DBD if you consider Killers, SWF, and Solo teams their own entities. They simply create an unbalance (for survivors and killers) and a big QoL issue for killers. BHVR has been making adjustments to address this for the better part of 2 years.

"So again... 70% killers doing great... but 3 sideswipe nerfs to survivors? If those stats were facts then this patch wouldn't exist. Oh and a buff to legion."

Not really, as Devs have openly stated that stats only play a partial role in their decision to make changes in the game and that community feedback also plays a big role. It's not unfathomable that community feedback can out weigh raw data.

SWF is at an advantage. Solo survivors are not. Again, you will probably see adjustments addressing that in a future patch. One change at a time. Balance isn't easy.

That would be on the devs then for choosing opinion over fact not the players. Also I wouldn't say it can out weigh raw data personally because it just seems like a dig to people sharing opinions others don't agree with. To me they would use both to get the facts and see how the community is feeling. I would also argue that there are more survivors than killers as que times are crazy and its like instant game if you pick killer. I would personally be for a solo survivor balance patch as I don't have a group and randoms can be iffy.

Using the logic of another person that has been arguing that red ranks are essentially meant to be “flawless players”, I am mostly (if not entirely) put against red rank survivors, I’ve never lost on the map as a perkless killer.

I’m not a pro, I don’t consider myself even a pro on the game - but to continually have my opinions discredited just because I hate a map and struggle on it is annoying - so, yes, I am going to progressively get more aggressive. I don’t see my opinion or experience as above others - but it’s what I see, it’s what the stats back up and that’s that.

only because Devs say not to use something means you shouldn’t? The stats are there, they show a comparison of performance on those maps.

yes, those stats don’t really consider ingame conditions but it’s the only thing we have.

I don't think your opinions are discredited I think your expecting your opinions to be accepted or relatable where as you reject everyone else's opinion, which is just selfish and entitled to me regardless of who you play. My point is others have provided their experience so it must be just a personal issue as I hate the game map and I'm a killer main who sits in the low red ranks high purple ranks. I can barely see anything and scratch marks really suck when there are turns or corners. Something else I'll note is that just because a killer that normally sucks on that map worked doesn't just mean they are fine on the map, that just means the maps rng was on the killer side and thats something nobody has control of. Also you really shouldn't expect to escape no matter what map your on just as killer shouldn't think they won or lost. If the game is so hard for survivors what about Haddenfield that killers have had issues with? Before DC penalties that map and Ormond were maps killers DC'd on because they are so heavily survivor sided and now its getting looking into.

Long story short = No the maps are not becoming like the meat plant, they are just taking the infinites away and making the maps a bit smaller to help killers with no mobility. They are not shrinking it to a pinhole. They are not adding a second floor the size of the map. And I'm not sure about this one but I'm sure their not getting rid of any pallets. Literally infinites gone and a bit smaller.

Farming and failing plays are playstyles, not data skews. Moris may skew the data, but there are also keys and pre-nerf toolboxes. Please make actual good points if you want to add to the echo chamber.

I don't get your comment. They did make a point it just seems like your wanting to just disagree because you can. The point is the devs themsleves said not to use the statistic data as its not reliable. From how I see it your saying that farming and failing is part of the statisitcs but what about suicideing on hook or just straight up DCing? Please be respectful and kind to others that weren't rude and were just adding their opinion to the echo.

I don’t complain about survivors because when I play Killer, I don’t find issues with the things that people complain about when going against survivors.

everything I talk about is from my personal experience and just because your experience or perspective doesn’t match mine doesn’t make mine any less valid or an entitled survivor.

if I can play killers with no perks and win games against red ranks then of course I’m going to see issue with killer because it’s based on my experience, and yes, I am going to speak on my experiences

I thinkl your issue is you get potatoe survivors. As you can see alot of people have stated how they think the game is either pretty balanced or a bit survivor sided. I understand you have had your games of which it was a lost cause so because of that I can think of 3 things.

    1. Your not a high rank killer thus giving you potatoes.
    2. You just get potatoe survivors due to the matchmaking system.
    3. You get god awful teammates when your on the game.

Also the devs themselves have said not to use the statistics so you using it is pretty pointless, and as others have said it only affects this map and none of the others. @DuckCast Makes a good point too. You seem to think everything you can do with the killer easily means they are OP while anything similar on survivor is ok. Just because you seem to have good games as killer doesn't necessarily mean your a pro or that your opinion is more important. I'm not saying your opinion isn't but you should be respectful to others that share there opinion respectfully.

Yeah. Exhaustion perks way too op. I've actually never really heard that argument before. I can't remember the last time I played a game and the killer said. I MORI YOU BECAUSE YOU HAVE BALANCED LANDING! Or ... I tunnel you because you use Lithe! I guess we're really getting down to the bare minimum if we're now under the impression that exhaustion perks are OP. Damn those Sprint Burst players!

So I always see you taking the killer side in arguments on here. Is your way of balancing the game to take perks away from survivors?

He's meaning your using the exhaustion perk to get out of the chase rather than loop just like how NOED can down a survivor in one hit, instead of the two. That exhaustion perk gets you "free" chase escapes as NOED gives "free" downs. I personally don't think their op but I can see his point of view I believe.

  • @twistedmonkey said:

The issue is what you don’t find fun here which isn’t a valid reason to dc. Giving a legit reason for you as a killer to dc just opens up a mine field for both sides as both would have to be held to the same standard.

Like it or not players would dc due to maps, gens done quick, better players, certain killers, offering and adding to name a few reasons.

If you are not having fun take a break but doing is wrong on any side as it ruins the experience and wields less points along with being able to outplay the other. While you see it as survivors get something you aren’t seeing what they lose in terms of the match as a whole.

I understand your post and respect in but not having fun is a cause to change aspects of the game. Look at ruin. It was changes mostly due to survivors not having fun and because of that they DC. I understand it led to the game becoming more balanced but the point is why is survivors fun so much more important than killers? why do I have to sacrifice my fun and time to deal with 4 people who can be complete jerks. Please think of both way rather than one as most usually do.

  • Its especially bad on console. ;_; My eyes feel like sand when my games are over with those maps.

  • Personally I like it and wouldn't have no issue but I don't play much survivor so others may have a better opinion than me.

why are you referring to players as killers and survivors? i'm a person who plays this game on both playable roles, no im not a survivor or killer. there's no killers or survivors complaining, there are only players giving feedback that should be listened to.

I'm sorry but I disagree. Yes people can play and like both roles and cool thats awesome but I mostly see mains on here. As you aren't one I will try my hardest to remember. I for one am a killer main and don't take offense being called one. I honestly don't get why thats the big issue here other than this isn't feedback its players (who happen to like survivor more) complaining. Wanna know the difference? Feedback is used as the basis for improvement and from what I know the ptb isn't up yet therefore none of this can be tested.

  • Yeah Those 2 are some I just laugh at they're posts/

  • Oh man wish I could switch with you as I needed alot of survivor challenges done. Also since nothing else was mentioned about my post I assume you had no rebuttle.

It's no problem and most killers won't see it from their pov. What usually happens is me or a friend are streaming and thr killer thinks we're sandbagging so they tunnel us and let the real sandbag gets but they go back and watch the vods and apologize for tunneling us and letting the real scumbags go. Usually a killer only sees 30% of the ######### survivors are doing.

I guess call me heartless but alot depends. Iv'e seen accidental sandbagging before but never intentional so I'm not sure. I'd either not care and still try and kill them all or just let em all go. Like at that point that match is done anyway. Sorry for your luck but my survivors I get when im killer run to every infinite and shack whenever they see me. and when I play survivor which is rare I get decent teammates but crappy killers. The camping ones and it sucks for sure being camped. Your issue is sandbagging and mine is camping but we gotta deal with it.

Honestly I just started reading his posts for the laughs. Other than that I ignore them because they really don't seem to understand balance, they get why to overdramatic over changes yet to come, whatever the post is about comes back to op addons and keys and mori's which I'll give him that since he puts mori's and keys together. They alos never mention anything regarding the other side like in his one post.

    @SurviveByDaylight said:

I don’t think gen speed is really that big of an issue. I understand they’re only fixing team repairs but I think it mostly has to do with map design. On the smaller maps it’s kind of unfair to squeeze 8 generators in a cramped area and slow down gen progress. That’s just not fun for survivors. I don’t want to be in there with killers getting ez one hit downs from OP ad ons or ebony Mori’s. Huntress /infantry belt needs to be addressed then. Don’t slow down gens in any way if you’re not gonna slow down killers. Killers have so many ways of turning the game around in their favor no matter how bad they’re getting beat. You got perks like NOED which is a prime example. Idk, from my experience solo surviving isn’t really gonna be fun if I have to stare at a generator for an hour 😡 can I at least go find parts to keep me busy?

Smaller maps are harder for survivors? Man I wonder how bigger maps feel for killers?! Straight up wherever he plays that region does not understand how to play with everything he seems to always get in his match. :/

  • @onlycampers said:

Stopped being fun for surv a bit more than 1 year ago, since then has been killer fest between new contents, buffs and nerfs: not even one of surv request has been addressed.

I feel frustrated as a player and ignored as a customer.

I'm sure the long survivor ques that have been here for awhile and the instant ques of killers beg to differ. Also didn't survivors want nurse and spirit nerfed? I think ruin came up too. Just because your a player and customer doesn't mean they need to cater to you. As ruin was a balance change for the future so is this one.

  • Well it was used in 80% of games so I'm sure alot of killers were upset and because that was a main way to have early game pressure and it was gone what else could they do? you want them to hold your hand out the gate?

  • @OtakuBurrito said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1197135#Comment_1197135

See yeah I'm not one of those people and I don't like it when killer mains lump me into that group. It's annoying asf. Ruin changes sucked initially but in thr long run and now they were amazing. But things are far different from survivors and killers. As a survivor 3 other people can ruin all your efforts and get you killed. As a killer you're relying on yourself. Sandbagging is already back hard asf in red ranks and it's getting worse. I've had so many teammates rat me out because I have BT and they didn't pay attention in lobby.

What I'm saying is no one is about to get decent games for awhile because they'll be extremely quick or long as hell (20 minutes) and it's going to kill the survivor player base even harder. Hell even now a good chunk or survivors have jumped ship due to various reasons I won't be discussing on THESE forums and it's only getting worse.

I don't think I exclusively called you out on being a survivor main but if I did I am sorry as I didn't mean it. I see your point but I don't see the sandbagging and such that your talking about. I play on ps4 so maybe that may be why. Personally I don't think decent games exist anymore as most games end with someone calling out another. As you said ruin sucked but got better so things will probly be the same, just take breaks like the killers needed to.

  • @onlycampers said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1196259#Comment_1196259

Nice to know clearly a forum mod is killer sided too.

Ruin change was an improvement: no decent sirv (rank 10 up) was even bothering destroying ruin.

How you can compare gen soeed slow, heal speed slow, ecg, killer opening gate and closing hatch, smaller maps, louder pain sounds, removal of loops and vaults, autohit everytime you drop a pallet or a vault...

    The bias amazes me...

No no no, they didn't wanna look for bones period. The reason I say this is due to all the NOED posts I see. We've barely seen any of the changes so its kinda silly to be this overdramatic. Also sounds are bugged in general so I don't know where you got the louder pain sounds from. Play some killer and open your eyes.

  • Honestly I would blame keys. In my opinion if your leaving the lobby to avoid the possibility of keys then just pay close attention to survivors in the lobby screen for any keys and in the match if you see someone with a key camp em. Why waste your time finding another lobby when you can teach the survivor a lesson for bringing keys. Or bring a mori and kill em but for me that don't lmao. Everyone should know that having a key means your a target as having a mori means every survivor is on edge.

  • Sorry didn't read most the posts here but one thing I wanna say about mori's is if used properly, as in on death hook, I dont see them being an issue it just comes down to the person playing with said mori. Other than that I agree that the changes are going in a great way.

  • @OtakuBurrito said:

I'm upset because this change is encouraging toxic survivor behavior. Now it seems once you get hooked you're dead anyways unless someone has a quest or feels like risking yall getting a regression. Everyone is just going to afk on separate gens all game and run sole survivor from Laurie(or whatever it's called).

You get penalized for coop actions when coop makes up a huge part of survivors scores. No point in hitting greats anymore. And resilience iron will self heal botany knowledge will be the norm since thanataphobia is rampant at high ranks. Couple this with forever Freddy and survivors are just playing for blood points and never to escape meaning were missing out of 5K points every game.

So people just aren't going to do gens since there's no real point and just meme and hold games hostage or suicide on first hook. It's already happening and a few regular DBD streamers are playing other games (both killer and survivors) to avoid the wave of ######### incoming.

I think that will weed out the weak. The players that just use mori's or key's, the ones that just tunnel or camp, the ones that wanna hide in a locker all day, ect. I remember when killers thought the same when ruin was nerfed but was told to just tough it out. As a killer main I may get to play more survivor if enough leave and the ques are shorter and since I enjoy getting bloodpoints I'd love those games your describing. Also you can still be cooperative while being on separate gens, and if you really wanna do gens with other survivors just bring Prove thy self. When killers complain about keys or such we get told to bring franklins.

  • Its crazy how from like 2 to 3 weeks ago all I mainly saw was "Survivors easy mode and killer gets treated unfair" and now its reversed. Devs re balancing the game as best they can. I can say a few months ago I was the same, but I guess I matured and realize I need to be patient. In my opinion any survivors right now complaining and such can leave the forums. You don't know how the ptb will be so just wait for it. I'm someone who can't even try the ptb as I'm a console pleb. These changes are for the better like the ruin nerf was, it just takes time to adjust. And to be real if youra survivor complaining now wanting things not to be changed then I guess killers are the bigger person since most of them have dealt with the nerfs they are handed. Yes there are killers that complain here but the point is I see way more survivors than killer posts. Also bloodlust imo should stay until these maps have all been changed and tweaked and feel balance between the majority of players on both sides as it was a bandaid fix for map design and as they are now changing them bloodlust should be on its way out soon.

  • I feel that sometimes it can be off but I think its fine at the moment. It would be hard to get it perfect and if either side feels attacked it may cause a ruckus.

Switch to a monitor, believe it or not having a tv actually hinders you because there is a small, slightly noticable delay in everything, the resolution is worse, and if you have a gaming monitor it actually looks cleaner then usual, even for console

O.o Thats amazing as I like a monitor better than a tv as it isn't so big. Thanks for the tips.

I don’t know if it’s true but they for the iron works one right. @Peanits if this is true could you please confirm because if it is I can’t wait as getting those 180 blink turns with the nurse on console is no easy job compared to pc.

Oh that sounds promising for huntress too! I would love video settings as some maps literally make me squint so hard, face right up to the tv hoping I can see some movement.

  • Not gonna lie I went to the wiki so my bad. Thats BHVR for ya! I'd say they need to change the text to fit with what it should do or just change it to you keep the item and addons no matter what. As a killer I have no issue with that in my eyes. Good catch tho, I would have never seen it cuz I rarely play survivor.

  • Because you escape. The purpose of the ward is for if you die. "Burning this Offering grants you protection against the loss of your Item

and its Add-ons in the event you die"

  • @Penfighter said:

I am a killer main. Yup. Account level will soon be 100 and I am thoroughly enjoying myself with most of the selection I have at my disposal. I win when I play well and lose when I don't apply enough pressure, which tells me there is at least a decent amount of balance, overall. I made it to rank 6, have tried most of the killers, and am now addicted.

Diving deeper into the community, I became aware of Face Camping and other such troll-ish killer actions. Knowing that we killers lose a fair amount of blood points and rank potential from doing things like hanging around hooks, I figured this was a small issue that only trolls perpetuated.

    I was so wrong.

These last two weekends, I've ventured into the world of survivor and, oh man, I had no idea it was this bad. Doing the math, exactly 70% of the killers my friends and I have come across in our last 20 matches literally facecamp hooks every time they get someone (we've been counting). This is on xbox, just as an FYI.

Look, its a video game and I get that you can play however you'd like at the end of the day. Its just difficult for me to believe that anyone would want to play this way. My friends and I get away almost every time, either all 4 of us or everyone but the one on the hook, so we know you aren't getting a lot of blood points. Furthermore, it takes the fun out of it. It's both simultaneously boring for the one on the hook and easy for the rest of the survivors who just spread out, knock out the genny's, and activate the exits.

The entire fabric of this game is woven around the chase mechanic. It's fun, challenging at times, and is how the players interact in Dead By Daylight. It's a nice reprieve from just shooting at people at all day in every other online game. Face-camping removes that from the game. And for what? I am asking this seriously, what are you gaining?

As I mentioned before, I am a killer main. This really doesn't effect my personal day to day. And for my few survivor matches, well, I breezed through the ranks thanks to this tactic. Hence my confusion. It's not like it even works...

PS4 also has killers like this but I'm not sure how many. I also am a killer main and only play survivor for challenges, But my killers never facecamp right off the bat its more like after 3 gens or if he was chasing me for awhile. Mind you I'm not toxic, I don't tbag or things I just wanna do the many more survivor challenges than killer ones.

I'm a returning killer main havent played since january amd am super casual and dont play often, bought demodog with my leftover cells and leveled him a bit. Started the session rank 18 stopped at 15. Only had 1 displeased game several merciliess and some brutals amd ruthless mixed in. As I neared the end i started getting paired with purples and high greens. And the survivors started getting toxic attitudes. I didnt tunnel or camp the last games i was huntress on yamka i feel i did a pretty good job. 2k 2 escape and one was on death hook. I dont play her often ans missed a fair bit of shots. Que endgame chat asking hpw i have good perks, event skins yet was a baby huntress by a rank 8 (used bnp), 20, 15 and another brown rank. Most other endgame chat was either silence, gg, or the one player unhappy with their admittedly useless team.

    On PC

Also have people like that on PS4 too. Although they get WAY more vulgar than calling me a baby killer.

  • ps4 doesnt have those type of people let me tell you that.

  • That 100% should have hit. I am mind boggled. O.o

  • I'm a killer main but when doing survivor challenges for the rift and more often than not I would use it not as it was intended. But I'm not really trying to escape either so I'm not sure if my opinion really matters. I seem to only play enough survivor to get to purp rank but I've rarely got a killer where they didn't blatantly camp.

Hey I'm fine talking about what people think would balance they game, in their opinion, but so far nobody has suggested anything, they say killers need a buff and when I say I think they are wrong they try to prove a point and not suggest a way to buff them, if you take it as petty and absurd then go ahead my guy, I'm not saying anybody is stupid for having an opinion that is valid, but telling me that a killer should get 3k or 4k every game is absurd and stupid, and saying a killer should 4k with only their 3 teachable is stupid and absurd. But you make a point, I probably could've worded that better, that's my fault

And that was my only reason for stating it like that. I have read posts about buffs that I thought were pretty nice, not too OP but a nice QOL change so your comment irritated me a bit. Now where did this teachable part come in? Because based off of that then nobody would be able to get the adept achievments for the killers as you need a merceless killer.

  • Listen to what others have said but I saw you were playing GF and I really enjoy him but I never use bitter murmer on him. I'm sure since you said your new you don't have it but if you can get BBQ & chili its way better. Other than that maybe swap sloppy for a different perk or try to stack something with sloppy like thana or nurse's calling. Main advice tho is to take deep breaths and know its not on you and that you did really well considering the odds against you. If we had proper matchmaking system this wouldn't be such an issue in my eyes.

Honestly I'm not whining, I like to ask people why they think Killer buffs or why survivors need nerfs or whatever is a hot topic because it shows how much they know when they talk about a buff idea that's absurd or stupid

So you made this topic to point out that if anyone says a survivor needs a nerf or a killer needs a buff that they're stupid or absurd? Heck I'm reading that statement as any buff idea is absurd or stupid in your eyes. People are allowed to express they're opinions as you are but I find this absurd and petty.

  • With alot of things in the game it comes down to that said game. As someone said its a guess if GF or Myers's stalk will even work so whoever you were just forget that game. Turn it around to enjoy yourself while also not throwing (if your survivor) but just realize that some games may have the odds against you but you gotta just move on to the next one. I understand about have multiple bad games in a row tho so try have fun. Meme around like a conga line trapper.

  • Honestly Ghostface is a good killer to me. I excel the best as him so I recommend him. If you do get him try not to try going for stalking too much as its kinda situational and don't hit survivors that are close to being fully stalked as you can stalk them to fully once your power comes back. These are the perks I use for him. Corrupt Intervention, Nurse's Calling, Thanataphobia, and Sloppy Butcher. And as others mentioned he excels at small, indoor maps. Also a tip for the buggy sounds, if you lose a survivor that you downed because of no sounds I use my power to see if they will stare at me to cancel it, which then lets me know where that survivor is.

  • Why @ them? They already said they were working on the magical hidden MMR system that I thought was supposed to be implemented by now. Plus this matchmaking goes along with the past 2 months so welcome to DBD. Just let them work on the cosmetics and new chapters instead of bothering them with matchmaking and bugs!

  • I feel most killers don't wanna open the doors as any survivor that has full health is pretty much guaranteed an escape against any non instadown killer. Plus for me I feel like I'm just giving up if I open the doors with not even one survivor dead.

  • G8 B8 M8 8/8

  • I believe theres one like the Christmas tree trapper. You trap a hook with pretty much all your traps as close you can then hook a survivor in it or reverse it, I'm not sure.

So tips to my fellow killers: adjust visual settings from Ultra to Low and all the blendettes stick out. Grass doesn’t hide them, etc.

Getting a free first hit leads to easy hooks.

Theres a reason streamers like Scott Jund, Zubat, and Umbra adjust this before every match.

    Thank you you kind soul!

  • The amount of people saying survivors will just stop playing the game is crazy. I felt like killers said this stuff a while ago and nobody cared. Honestly if survivors leave the game ques could be quicker so I'm all for it. Sure you need more survivors than killer but since killer ques take seconds I don't see any worry. Tunneling is a strategy/tactic/whatever you wanna call it to help the killer create pressure. Not all killers can create long distance pressure or be speedy enough to cause it.

Irrelevant? Many killers win after early gens lost. You said Huntress for you is weak. Why would you be surprised people want to see what led up to it? Come on. The rest of the game matters to see how the rest of the gens went, as well as needing to know what the survivors brought. All perfectly reasonable expectations. Do you give up with Hag? I have a strong feeling everything you are saying has to do with using a killer you aren’t any good at. That ain’t a gen speed problem.

He stated somewhere he was playing huntress for the daily. The point I think hes trying to make is at that point a killer feels absolutely powerless at that moment and that can sour the rest of the game. Its like when a survivor kills themselves or doesn't understand looping properly dies early for no real reason, the other survivors more than likely feel powerless and lose the will to even try. Yes you can still bring the game back but at that moment your emotions and brain tell you otherwise and cloud your judgement.

I don't see the point, I feel it's unfair to jump into a discussion and say "but what about keys", it makes no sense and trying to discuss with someone who will just say "yea but key" is entirely a waste of time.

You say yourself "I believe the topic is about how it feels to lose 3 gens instantly" but immediately bring up keys as if 3 gens correlates to finding a key? lol.

But it does correlate to it? I only brought it up because of your solution for the killer to win. "Just patrol the 3 gens on the otherside of the map" There are posts on here about killers having the 3 gen set up and then lose because of the key so thats why I brought it up.

ok lmao a key yea, keys should be nerfed, what's your point? With 4 people alive and 2 gens left no one is using a key, this match was still entirely winnable

Agree that keys need nerfed. My point is anything can happen in the game I'm just not assuming whats happening like you are. I'm not referring to the clip at all, I'm purely speaking in hypothetical. I believe the topic is about how it feels to lose 3 gens instantly not that you can win from any scenario. Can you try looking at it in different perspectives or is your perfect playstyle all you see?
