I had the same problem with Lery's when I didn't know the map, it's just a matter of getting used to it I think.

Oh, now that you mention Ash, I would love to see a classic Ash skin.

Someone mentioned the Silent Hill nurse for Nurse, but I'd rather see the Nurse from SH2, because the nurses from SH5 look like cosplayers and kinda sexy, not precisely scary in my opinion.

I'll keep this one simple and short...
My theory's that the replacement of button mashing by Skill Checks is a test.
A test to see if it's fit for being hooked as well.
Just a theory of course.
Skill checks would be a major improvement; for me because the feeling of dying after missing a skillcheck is more intense than repeatedly pressing a button and I think the skillchecks would make you feel more involved with the game, because you actually have to pay attention to what's going on. I mean you can just mash a button while you're having a drink or have your mind somwhere else.
EDIT: Also, it would be interesting if skill checks got a bit smaller as the sacrifice is progressing.

Finally! Sounds like Clown is gonna be more fun to play as now. Thanks BHVR.
-
She needs to move faster when she is crouching, that's all I ask.
-
Not a Clown main but he's one of the killers I've played the most. In my opinion his best add ons are Thick Cork Stopper and Solvent Jug. After experimenting with different perks I discovered that using enduring and stbfl work better for me; these two particular perks make him faster during chases while survivors are slowed down; you can easily tank pallets and if a survivor runs away before you break it you can catch up faster thanks to your bottles. It can be a bit tricky trying not to lose stbfl stacks, but seriously when clown reaches all his stacks in the mid or late game he performs very well.
-
Same thing happened to me. I've been able to break it a couple of times, but I got stuck once without being able to break it.
-
Laurie, because decisive strike is probably the strongest perk in the game.
-
At this rate probably not before the game dies.
-
Plague: Make black incense basekit to force survivors to cleanse so we can use her power for once...

Here's another one:
Unlimited Evil Within 3 Myers.
Perks: Corrupt Intervention + nemesis + pwyf + infectious.
If you prefer to slug:
Corrupt Intervention + knock out + deerstalker + infectious fright.
-
I like the idea. The game hardly feels like a horror game for me, this would improve the game atmosphere.
-
I used to main survivor before the update, but the long queue times, shorter and boring matches have turned me into a killer main for now. However, I'm starting to get bored of playing the same killers over and over again. I'm guessing I'll stop playing for good when I purchase a new game next month.

David? The one wants to be hurt and bleeding constantly? Yeah I'm sure he would survive long lol
Good point, but he doesn't bleed tho. 😉
-
If you are juggling with Wraith it's very good on him, just injure the obsession unless he or she is running to a dead zone. I also think it's good on clown, because it lets you catch up faster after you've hindered survivors.
-
Endgame build for killers who have cool mori animations:
Noed + bloodwarden/remember me + nemesis + rancor.
-
Here's another one:
Unlimited Evil Within 3 Myers.
Perks: Corrupt Intervention + nemesis + pwyf + infectious.
-
Ghostface: add ons that increase night shroud recovery rate.
Perks: Ruin + surveillance + nurse's + sloppy
Map offerings: The Game, Lery's or Hawkins.
Wraith; add ons: any clapper + windstorm
Perks: Ruin + surveillance + nurse's + stbfl
Map offerings: Same.
Jumpscare Myers perks: Ruin + sloppy + whispers + thana
Map offerings: Same.
Have fun!
-
I think he's fine.
-
Old nurse without add ons was fun.
-
Iri heads Huntress and Mint Rag Hag with MYC are the most annoying of all.
-
That would probably be David, Bill, Laurie and Jake, I mean at least one of their three perks is meta and you almost see at least one or two of them on every build at red ranks.
-
Another idea was to not immediatly lose the sacrifice progress on a hook that reached the second stage of the sacrifice, but instead make the entity fade away and lose progress at a reasonable rate after an unhook.
-
I've been running the ruin + surveillance combo on Wraith and Ghostface, it's actually a very good combo if you are good at juggling survivors and sneaking up on them, but I've had to change my playstyle when I play killer; I no longer try to hook every survivor 3 times, I focos on hooking two survivor and just injuring the other two unless they run into a dead zone.
I've also tried ruin + surveillance + discordance on Demogorgon; very helpful if you place your portals near the gens. The same build is also good for Spirit.
The only killer I play without ruin is Freddy, because his slowdown add ons + thana + pgtw + discordance are good enough for him in my opinion.
-
The build I'm using after the update:
Add ons: Bone clapper + Windstorm
Ruin + surveillance + nurse's + sloppy or stbfl
-
I used to play all killers, but after the update I've mainly played Wraith, Ghostface and Michael. The game, Hawkins and Lery's are the best maps for them.

Sure, then you'll get 3 gens popped instead of 1 if they can loop decently. Smart thinkin'.
Not if you know when it's smart to stop a chase.

Ruin allowed low map pressure killers to get the ball rolling and get momentum going. Didn’t matter if it lasted only a minute or two, it did enough.
I feel as though I have to play Spirit against good survivors. I just don’t stand a chance as Clown or Wraith. I end chases as quick as I can but it’s just not enough against optimal survivors.
The Ruin change would be much better if some maps were shrinked in size. They are just too massive.
I think Wraith is actually good if you can juggle survivors and sneak up on them. I use bone clapper + windstorm and the build I prefer is ruin + surveillance + nurse's + sloppy or stbfl (I think I prefer stbfl over sloppy).
Since the update I've mained Wraith and got to rank 1 again surprisingly.

It's more efficient for all survivors to be on separate gens. 33.3 for 3 gens takes 99.9 seconds. If all survivors were to hop on a gen alone if they found one, you'd complete 3 gens in 80 seconds. Not to mention, you're far more difficult to pressure because of how separated you are.
That's why you shouldn't chase the same survivor for more than 50-60 seconds.
-
Old ruin allowed me play all killers a bit more relaxed, but it's not bad if I play strong killers, I think it might be even better than before if it lasts more than two minutes.

I cannot see how hardcamping is even something in the killer's mind (assuming you hardcamp at the start of the game). If you camp, you are going to get genrushed (if the survivors have a quarter of their brain active). There's no point in trying to save a camped survivor. So actually your kill had little to none effect on the trial.
If you instead hook (or slug) a survivor, and then you keep patrolling gens, that's going to give you more map pressure and you will actually force them to split to unhook the survivor you left. That's 2 people doing gens. By the time all that happens, you could possibly catch those 2 survs.
I believe the new Ruin was made with this playstyle in mind. Force them to leave the gens they are working on so the regression can start asap.
I think so too, that's why the new ruin is pretty good if you are playing high mobility killers like Billy and Wraith.

Don't really see your point here. It's still more effective to hit your greats on a gen by yourself like @Waffleyumboy said.
My point was that I it's better to split survivors to force them to work on separate gens, you can get three hooks before the first gen pops if you know what you're doing.

I'm pretty sure it takes over 30 seconds. 3 gens with one stacks: 80 sec. 3 gens with 3 stacks 90+ sec.
It takes 33 seconds only if you don't hit any great skill checks. If the three survivors working on it hit the great skill checks it can take less than 30 seconds.

Yea no. Don't know where you got that from but there are penalties to working together. Gj Ase as usual
So, you didn't know three survivors can finish a gen in less than 30 seconds?

Gens go slower overall when survivors stack on them if I'm not mistaken...
Not anymore. Old ruin did a good job when more than one survivor tried to repair a gen. Now three survivors can repair a gen in less than 30 secondsfl from the start. All gens can get done in 5 minutes or less if three survivors manage to stick together and the killer doesn't juggle all of them to force them to split, which is something that high mobility killers and stealth killers allow you to do best.

Same mistake I did chasing 1 for entire game.
Actually I only chased that survivor around a loop, because I got a free hit when I reached the gen they were working on. I know they finished the first gen in 30 seconds because three of them started working on the same gen when the match began, during those 30 seconds I found Claudette working on a gen, but I left her after the first gen popped because I wanted to find the other group of survivors. By the time I found them they had already done more than 50% of another gen.
Three survivors can finish a gen in less than 30 seconds if they hit the great the skill checks. If they manage to stick together while you chase and hook one survivor all gens can get done in less than 5 minutes. The mistake was not chasing for too long, it was not juggling all of them to force them to split.
-
I seriously don't consider this to be a good sign, but I hope they fix matchmaking and make something better, which I doubt they will.
-
Actually I find Swing chains useful if I run thana and pgtw.
-
Btw, It's hard to define "unbeatable" because no one is sure what to consider a win in this game.
-
There's always the hatch... So I guess not.
-
I've been doing okay without ruin, but I've had to stick to strong killers. I've even reached rank 1 again after the update. However today I had a match in which all gens were done in less than 4 minutes, no toolboxes, no PT, just one guy with resilience.
I know I made a mistake at one point and started to chase one of the three survivors who were working on a gen instead of juggling all of them. I can admit I did a mistake there, but you won't believe how fast those gens popped after that mistake, it was insane.
-
Survivors are bleeding to death on the floor because of this.

So today I found myself playing as survivor against a killer running a speed mod. It wasn't too crazy just fast enough for him to be able to put pressure on survivors. We ended the game with 2 hooks and 2 escaping. The sad part about it is that in order for the game to be fair killer had to use mods in order to do so.....
Please rebalance the game behaviour, this whole gens being done in 4-5 min is ridiculous. Playing survivor is now utterly boring and I can't fathom the idea of having to hook survivors 12 times in order to get a 4k game when games are so freaking short now.
Don't try to hook everyone 3 times, try to hook two survivors and injure/juggle the other two, only hook them if they don't heal and you manage to down them or make them waste a pallet and then leave them unless they are running to a dead zone.
-
I don't know if accused, but a Dwight was upset I hooked him when he was dead on hook instead of hooking another survivor who was slugged after him.
-
Honestly, I don't think this is something survivors can control, in the end the killer chooses who to chase, hook, injure or slug and it's possible that a killer will try to hook the survivors who have been already hooked to apply more pressure.
Bodyblocking is all your team mates can do if you play against a killer who goes after the survivors who have been already hooked.

there is so many pallets there is not 1 pallet for pallet freddy to use in the entire map
I made a thread about that one but didn't get an answer.
@Peanits @Almo is this how the map was meant to function with pallet Freddy? You can't place a fake pallet unless you break the pallets that are already there.

Not a fan of the cow loops either.
