Nothing.
Sometimes they're good.
Sometimes they play like it's their first game.
Usually somewhere in the middle.

They should fix why players are so miserable they’re opting to quit and lose rank. Holding them hostage in a miserable game is not the answer.
This.
I personally love that the dc penalty is down. So much of my time and frustration is saved when things go down hill fast within the first couple minutes of the match due to bad team mates or really scummy killers.

Why is this bug still in the game, Behaviour? It's been how long now? A year?
Y'all need to start pouring money into the functionality of the game and less into cosmetics. Good god!
I'll do you one better: silent while injured WITHOUT iron will. Had this personally happen the other day playing as Dwight. It was really bizarre.
Eventually I did start emitting sounds but for a big chunck of time I was a ninja.
-
I've found its almost always better to cleanse often because of how easy it is to loop her in buildings and jungle gyms which robs her power. Hell even just running around tall obstacles prevent her from using it effectively.
-
I have yet to play that map since the rework. Last I heard it was not in the rotation?
-
Looks like ghostface standing still
-
You proxy camp. That's about the only thing he's good at for getting kills.
-
Got a 4k with Trickster and the survivors were NOT happy about that so they told me they hoped I would die soon irl 🤣🤣🤣
-
I dont like to search 5+ minutes for a game to roll around around the floor for half the match.
Temporary slugging is fine if the killer is trying to get a quick hit on a nearby survivor but killers that go out of their way to keep people on the floor is stupid.

Oh... my... god...
The irony of making a post about (to paraphrase) “by all means, make complaints, but stop making up fairy tales like a bunch of kids.”, only for the post to be inundated with EXACTLY that: rubbish without actual supporting evidence.
You can’t use something as loose as just the past in order to confirm a bias. You CAN however use that as enough basis to INVESTIGATE further to challenge whether something is or is not true.
I don’t have cancer. I also breathe air. I’m not about to be an idiot and claim with total conviction that simply breathing air prevents cancer.
You need to have something MORE than just correlation to support a claim or theory.
Bro just so you know mentioning the cancer word is the reason I got in jail, and I didn't even use it in the disease context. You may want to edit this post.
Hell I might get banned for even mentioning here...

Unfortunately bhvr holds a monopoly on this genre. Any competitors are very likely to fail, and they have. This is why bhvr release garbage, buggy chapters. They don't have an incentive to do any better and only fix stuff whenever they see fit.

but refusing to actually fix the bad code dbd is founded on to make the game significantly more stable, probably fixing several of these bugs in the process, is a much lower priority than stopping characters breaking sets?
The problem is that it makes bhvr look reeeeallllyyyyy stupid to issue a hot fix over stuff so trivial and benign such as the cosmetic set bug when there are dozens of critical bugs they need to fix asap.
I understand that some bugs are easier to fix than others and that's why it was put in this hot fix, but it still doesn't make them look good when people on console can't even play the game yet they had time to fix an issue with cosmetics.
It really does make you wonder where their priorities are.
-
Solo is a meme at best. You absolutely cannot take it seriously because your chance of escape is very low.
It's actually you vs 3 survivors and a killer.
-
They probably aren't to worried seeing as they most likely already have bhvrs money for the license, and they would have to have approved nemesis, the map, and survivors.
As long as bhvr doesn't do anything incredibly stupid like give nemesis an unauthorized skin or add unauthorized assets to the map, Capcom will be ok with the map being down due to technical difficulties.

Farm when there's a DC, is that the rule?
It depends on how early the dc was and my mood (if I'm killer).
If it was an early dc and I'm in a good mood, sure, let's farm.
Other times I just want to play a real match and farming is boring so I'll quickly kill them to get on with a new match.
Late dc I usually don't play any different other than I'll probably let the last guy get hatch.
-
Trapper is only useful if you play him extremely braindead: trap the basement area, down someone near it, take them there and then camp. If you place traps around the map you're most likely going to lose.
Trickster is literally playing huntress, except in slow motion.
That being said, Trapper when played like this cam atleast potentially get a 4k while trickster really struggles to get 2 or 3.
-
I've found that unless you're pumping out gens unbothered it's usually better to cleanse.
The reason why is because you can quite easily loop plague with her corrupt purge if you are in a building or jungle gym which robs her of her power while giving you your health states back.
Even if you aren't in one of these structures there's a good chance there's boulders other large objects you can circle to get her to waste time trying to hit you with corrupt purge.
Plus, if you cleanse in an area out of the way and away from other gens, she has to walk allllll the way over there to get the fountain.
This is why I don't play her. Most of her power comes from survivors giving to her which is not fun when the survivors know what they're doing.
-
The people who dc are also the people who try to die on first hook and then walk up to the killer if they get rescued before dieing.
The DC penalty doesn't force people to play a match they don't want to be in.

I love how they said they’re going to be focusing on the anniversary and Halloween events from now on only for it to be the exact same this year. Some item, cake offerings, and balloons on gens. Like cool I’m glad to see you still had those texture files but could you please think of something innovative.
Literally this. I distinctly remember them saying future anniversary events would be better. Well...
-
@Another_LegionMain said:
You can get crowns, like last year, the cake starts out as personal only, like the 4th cake did, and most importantly: RCPD will most likely still be bugged!
Lol.
Didn't they say the reason they weren't doing so many events anymore was so that they could focus on making better, higher quality ones?
-
@Pilot said:
Would you still play DBD?
Just asking. I have some things going on in the background that have my full attention for the time being so I've set DBD aside.
What would happen if the Anniversary Update fails to deliver and the Mid-Chapter Update doesn't bring anything meaningful? Would you still play DBD if both fail or if the Anniversary Update fails?
I dont think its a question of 'if' but rather 'how bad is it going to be'.
Bhvr quality of chapters and events have been absolute rubbish for atleast the past 2 years.

That feeling at the start of a match when no one has been hit by the Killer. I start looking around for a creepy Myers or, I'm waiting to step on a trap.
Most of the Horror bleeds away after you play this game for a while but, that eerie silence followed by Myers staring at you still gets me sometimes. That's when I'm like, "Oh #########!"
Lol yes!
Usually when this happens I'll see a Meg get grabbed off a gen across the map.

it's completely unplayable at the moment there is always 1 Surv that DC in the game all other survs just leaved before the first hook
I'm quite enjoying disconnecting vs an Agitation, iron grasp trapper with the basement building trapped to hell.

I doubt it. Unless they're incompetent
Unless you're playing on the new Game map, you don't need to break every pallet, just the good ones.
Especially as Clown who can force pallet drops faster. Staying at unsafe pallets just results in faster hits for clown.
-
It's not just latency.
-
Yeah I'm in your boat. I have almost 2k hours and the past few chapters have been massive disappointments. The amount of bugs introduced is just staggering and they take weeks to fix only for more bugs to come later.
Solo queue is hot garbage most of the time. For me it's a meme at this point. Tunneling and camping is pretty rampant but ultimately my deaths usually result from my team mates making incredibly dumb mistakes over and over.
As killer, my games are either a stomp of potatoes or a sweaty gen rush match. I do not enjoy either of these and there doesn't seem to be any games in between.
-
Ctrl C
Ctrl V
Maximum effort!
-
The only way to play him successfully is to get someone in the basement and just trap everywhere around it.
Unfortunately it makes for a brain dead game. I just dc if this happens.

Yup, working as intended.
-
Shes been busted for years now, and they just took time to adjust her addons and didn't do diddly to fix hatchets then.
Odds are she's always going to be throwing car engines
-
Clown doesn't really have a power right now.
Bottles aren't working for the majority of the time.

That’s not the same thing though. It’s fine to express anger or disappointment. I’m not invalidating that at all.
I’m not happy about Clown’s state either as he’s my number one main. But I’m not about to jump to a silly, rash conclusion that the devs intentionally nerfed Clown because of their survivor bias (for example).
I dont think the majority of people genuinely belive they do these things to screw over the average player regardless of role.
I DO think most people believe bhvr doesn't know what they're doing though which is where the complaints come from.
-
I mean, the complaints are justified.
Chapter quality has gone downhill massively in the past couple of years.
Every update makes the game borderline unplayable for a few weeks.
You know clown is pretty much useless right now right? That's unacceptable.
-
He's a meme at this point.
Before his rework it was one of the only ways he could get kills.
-
Lol yeah her moans sound very..errmm..let's just say sounds like she's having a good time.

I'm sorry- Clown's bottles are busted? lol
Yup. There's a 50/50 chance survivors just straight up not give a damn and run through gas clouds and aren't slowed. It's suspected hinderance is bugged.

Can we chill about it maybe? I get why everyone is upset but yelling at the DEVS and making posts demanding they fix it is not going to make things go any faster. I too paid for chapter DLC and keep getting screwed by the console lag (haven't played today since the update and I probably won't; I just don't feel like dbd today) but have your patience? Calling the devs lazy and not hearing you about this mess is not going to fix it faster. Think about this: this is DBD'S 5th year anniversary, it's huge. RE is part of that epic celebration so does it make sense they don't care enough about the map and bug fixes to fix it asap? No, no it does not. Marketing standpoint, it's bad business to let it stay in this state as long as possible so I highly doubt they're sitting back passing around a thing of doughnuts flapping their gums about how their weekend went, what plans they have for the week, etc. Some of you clearly do not understand the complexities of code - it's not easy so of course it's not going to be up and going within a day or whenever you demand it.
Do I think DEVS should improve in the future? Absolutely. I heard somewhere their engine is outdated, they should update it asap for smoother performances. Do more extensive tests for these chapters before releasing them. Someone suggested also having a PTB for console, that might help a lot for console statistics.
Tldr; some of you just need to learn patience. Play a different game in the meantime, go breathe some fresh air, keep calm and chill.
Normally I'd agree with you but this sh*t happens EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER RELEASE.
The game ends up in a more or less broken state for weeks. They clearly aren't learning any lessons, in fact it gets worse every time.
I thought the twins release was a mess but oh boy this one tops it.

I'm honestly thinking they're dragging their feet, or they aren't hiring more devs to work on these faster. Cote said they want to work on DBD "for years to come" but their track record so far has not been very promising.
I believe it's a testing/quality assurance issue (it doesn't exist).
Bhvr probably has like 1/3 of their total staff working on development and testing which probably totals in the dozens of people.
Yet your telling me they can't be arsed to spend 5 seconds checking if hindered is working for Clown bottles after they obviously were messing with the way hindered works?
Unbelievable.
-
Isn't this like the 3rd time breakable sets have been "fixed"?
-
It's going to be <<another>> sh*t show, mark my words.
Dbd chapters and events have gone downhill continously for the last 2 years.

I'm really not surprised but thanks for taking the time to test.
Bhvr clearly doesn't know what a hot fix is..
A hot fix is supposed to fix critical issues, you know like clown bottles being useless. Instead most of this patch is trivial fixes related to animations and cosmetics

Actually i do, but protecting them from all the critics they deserve won't help either.
Bhvr gets away with an atrocious amount of bull sh*t like this because they don't have any solid competition which lets them be lazy and incompetent.
I mean ffs, they had to disable half of the latest chapter (map) ON DAY 1 and its still not available a week later!
-
That first picture is basically what the legion should have been imo.

They aren't a priority at all. It's just some issues have much quicker fixes than others - and some things have been worked on for longer than others as well...this isn't about priority.
But it should be.
It seems like a solid chunk of resources and time goes into fixing frivolous things like this while larger more concerning issues like abysmal performance on all platforms seemingly get put on the back burner and forgotten.
-
I didn't see anything about clown being fixed because his bottles are busted but thank god they fixed a brief animation bug when rescuing from pyramid head cages >.>
-
It's been 7 days since the chapter released and still no map. How embarrassing for bhvr....
-
You get a case of the sniffles and might need to lay down for a bit.
-
Gud baet

I used to hate them when they dropped because people only ever slugged and camped every match.
Then i picked them up a few months ago and instantly fell in love with their more strategic game play.
