How do you counter Plague?
Cause out of all killers i feel i cant do much against her (besides Spirit)
Since you are basically forced to either be permanently injured and extremely loud or give her a strong range attack that can end a chase in nothing.
Which screams bad design to me, to the point that i often hear people to not cleanse at all, to deny her the range attack.

That's basically it. Stay infected and hope your team is worth a damn.
Beating a good Plague requires a solid team. She can be beaten by cleansing or not cleansing. But the team has to be on the same page either way. Half cleansing and half not is the worst thing.
You can choose not to cleanse, but she can bring up to 3 corrupted fountains to start the trial with add ons. She's very loopable without her power.
You can also still run her if she has corrupt purge. Just treat her exactly like a Huntress who moves at 115% m/s. Cleanse away from objectives if you are going to cleanse.
I've found that unless you're pumping out gens unbothered it's usually better to cleanse.
The reason why is because you can quite easily loop plague with her corrupt purge if you are in a building or jungle gym which robs her of her power while giving you your health states back.
Even if you aren't in one of these structures there's a good chance there's boulders other large objects you can circle to get her to waste time trying to hit you with corrupt purge.
Plus, if you cleanse in an area out of the way and away from other gens, she has to walk allllll the way over there to get the fountain.
This is why I don't play her. Most of her power comes from survivors giving to her which is not fun when the survivors know what they're doing.
Only cleanse at the end of the game far away from the exit gates. Being loud isn't really a big deal because you shouldn't be stealthing anyway
If you don't clease, it's very simple question of how good M1 looper you and your team are.
If you do cleanse (which is what I do since not cleansing is just soooo boring), you actually realise that if you keep some distance between you and her, that power is not as insane as it looks. It has charge up time that slows her down and the projectile speed is very low, quite jukeable I dare say. Also every plague hard respects pallets since pallet stun remove her power.
I personally love the way she changes basic gameplay, probably one of the coolest powers as it changes basic gameplay far more then most other powers do.
Countering Plague depends on both your team's strengths and the killer's strengths. Both situations benefit the killer, so you have to pick the one that fits their playstyle less.
Cleanse if:
-You and most of your team are bad loopers and get caught out of position easily
-The Plague is very good at M1 chases
-The Plague has fountains and doesn't seem to be using them much
-The Plague, once she gets Corrupt Purge, tends to focus on chasing one survivor with it
-Other players have started cleansing en masse and you can reset her fountains
-You are in an indoor map where you can avoid long corridors and constantly duck around walls (Lery's, The Game, etc)
-It's endgame. Always cleanse at the endgame unless you think you can open the gate before she'll reach you.
Don't cleanse if:
-The Plague is very aggressive about using her fountains and targets multiple survivors when she has Corrupt Purge
-The Plague is very good at hitting her shots, knows how to shoot over structures, etc
-The Plague is a slugger
-The map is extremely open and most loops you can access are low-wall loops
-The Plague doesn't seem very good at M1 chases and the gens you're working on are near strong structures
-Your teammates are also not cleansing and she currently has only one or no fountains
Weigh the factors and choose which is the right strategy for this game.
In addition, unless you're trying to reset her fountains, cleanse in bad locations for her - by gens that are already done, in corners of the map or along the walls. Avoid cleansing in central areas or next to critical gens (ex, cleansing next to the chalet gen in Ormond is a prime example of a very stupid cleanse choice that will screw your team over down the line.)
